Chapter Text

Osamu dialed Suna's number again, the bastard didn't answer and he was desperate. He had been to Inarizaki but he had a bad feeling when classes ended and something told him to miss practice, he felt that something was not right.

Before running home, he decided to dial the number one last time, apparently the only time Suna answered, he wasn't going to admit how relieved he felt, if he came home alone and Atsumu wasn't there he doubted he could do anything alone. .

"Osamu-"

"Please tell me that you know where Atsumu is" his voice sounded shaky and scared. He was walking in circles in front of the Inarizaki entrance, his body wouldn't stop shaking and he did his best to keep the cell phone from falling out of his hands.

"No, Osamu, I haven't talked to Atsumu in days, I don't know where the hell he could be" a sob was heard on the other line, Suna knew something was wrong, Osamu hadn't spoken to him since his incident with Atsumu " Osamu are you alright?"

"No, something isn't right, I need to get home quickly, let me know I won't go to practice" Osamu started to run to his house, but Suna stopped him while still on the phone.

"Wait, where are you right now, if you feel that something isn't right and you're not okay, I can't leave you alone" Suna began to gather his things, ignoring his classmates' calls and left the gym as fast as he could.

"Just like you left my brother" he didn't want to say it so angry, he didn't want to say it, but it hurt, it hurt to think of how hurt his twin was, Osamu was desperate to know why something felt so wrong.

"Osamu, where are you?" he asked again as he was leaving the building until he saw Osamu pacing back and forth.

"In front of the exit" when he said it, Suna was already next to him.

Suna took Osamu's arm without the other noticing, and although Miya was surprised by his arrival, he prepared to keep up with him. They both ran quickly to the Miya home, Osamu was crying as he ran, he was short of breath and felt bad, maybe there was something wrong with him. Suna held him as tightly as he could, he had already lost them both, he couldn't leave them again, he wouldn't make the same mistake.

Osamu opened the door quickly still with trembling hands and they went up to the second floor to reach Atsumu's room. But it was blocked. Osamu began to tremble and despair, his brother never left the door of his room locked. He took out his keys again to open the bedroom door from the outside, his brother was not inside in plain sight, but the bathroom light was on, he ran straight there waiting for his brother to snap at him for having entered without permission.

Suna felt dizzy, he quickly took out his phone and wrote the emergency number but without calling, he didn't want to stop Osamu, something told him that what they would see there was not pleasant at all, he needed to calm down in order to help his friend.

Osamu quickly approached and without thinking twice opened the bathroom door.

His brother.

His twin brother.

His twin.

Identical at birth but differed by a five minute gap at birth.

The other half of him.

He was lying in the bathroom, it seemed that he wasn't even breathing, he was surrounded by some blood, there were cuts on his wrists and thighs, as well as bruises all over his body. There were also scattered pills. How many will it take?

Suna had reacted faster than he thought and called 911 and gave all the information so they could send an ambulance as soon as possible.

Osamu fell to the ground, knelt in front of his brother, holding his thin body with his arms to hug him, the piercing sound of crying was horrible. Osamu couldn't stop thinking that he couldn't lose it.

His older brother, though a twin, seemed almost dead. He prayed that a part of him would continue to fight to stay alive. If Osamu were left without Atsumu he would be reduced to nothing.

There could be no Atsumu without Osamu.

Osamu could not exist without Atsumu.

He was his greatest blessing. Thoughts of him began to attack. If only he hadn't left, if only he had been with him. If only he had been a better brother.

His trembling hands took the slender hand of his twin's, lowered him to his knees. Atsumu looked so empty, he looked at his face, thin and pale, with dark circles under his swollen eyes showing that his brother hadn't been able to sleep well in days and that he had been crying before being in this situation. With one of his hands he moved his brother's blond hair to completely reveal his face. Even at this moment it could be said that Atsumu still looked good, he let out a small laugh at the thought that his brother would tease him by telling him that despite everything he was the handsome twin.

Osamu let his tears roll down his face, it seemed like an eternity how long the ambulance took. He leaned down to join his forehead with his brother's, he wouldn't let him leave him without him knowing how much he loved him. Osamu knew, he knew that he couldn't let his brother live a life he didn't want, a life in which he would never be happy.

"I love you Atsumu. I just want you to know. Forgive me for leaving you. I love you more than anything in the world, but if you don't want to be in this life anymore, there's no problem brother, I won't stop you, be happy, that's what you deserve it" a sob came out of him, he caressed Atsumu's head with his free hand, even if the position was uncomfortable, he couldn't let him leave again.

Osamu felt Atsumu's hand squeeze his, showing him that he was listening to him, that he also loved him and that he would always be by his side, that he would not leave his side either and that he would be there at all times no matter what. He cried even more as the grip lightened, but he didn't let his hand drop, he gripped him tighter and held on as if he'd never let go.

Osamu let Atsumu be happy, even if he could only be happy outside of this world.
