Chapter Text

They started making their way back in silence, with hurried steps. Not even a couple of minutes in, the rain morphed into a storm and it all felt like a forced joke upon them. Hurried steps turned into running until they got to the sidewalk and managed to hail a taxi.

The ride to the Pots house was characterised by gloomy faces, drenched clothes and a deafening silence. When they were approaching the front door, Murdoc finally spoke.

“Hey.” He said quietly, and 2D stopped and turned around to face him. “I’m not goin’ in, alright? Jus’ lettin’ y’know.”

“Wot d’ya mean? Where are ya goin’?”

“Nowhere really, I guess. Jus’ gonna walk for a bit. I’ll text Russ and tell ‘im I’m ready to go home whenever they’re ready. Dunno if you’re comin’ with us or not, but yea. I’ll walk around until ya guys are ready.”

“That’s nonsense Murdoc, it’s still rainin’! Why don’t ya come inside and at least get yerself dry and warm before it’s time to leave?”

“I don’t really care, honestly.” he said, giving him the smallest, almost unnoticeable smile and then turned around and started walking away. Mere seconds later though, Murdoc heard footsteps catching up with him, and suddenly 2D was walking beside him without saying a word.

“Wot are you doin’?” asked the bassist.

“I figured I’d come with ya. You came with me before when I wanted ta leave the house, so.”

“Well, ya really don’t have to return the favour but thanks anyways.”

“Murdoc.”

They stopped walking and faced each other finally. 2D continued.

“I’m sorry for wot I said. I still um, y'know… have feelings for ya, okay? I didn' lie about that if that's wot yer thinking. I’m jus’ scared now. But I didn’t mean to hurt ya, I’m sorry.”

“That makes two of us, then.”

“Huh?”

“I told ya before. I never wanted ta hurt ya either. That’s my second biggest regret in life.”

“Second…?” He looked puzzled at that moment.

“My biggest one was, ironically, the other time I unintentionally hurt ya. When I ran over ya, puttin’ ya in a coma and…” he paused, staring at his black eyes and then looking at the ground to hide his pained expression.

“You mean my freak eyes.”

“ Don't say that about yer eyes.”

“Yer bothered by them. Even if ya fancy me, yer bothered by them. Just like most people are. My parents, you, Paula. Everyone.”

“I’m not! How can ya even say dat? I told ya many times already—”

“Yea yer kind enough to try ta make me feel betta, I get dat, but I know how ya look at me sometimes.”

“Stu, sorry but this is stupid. Wot yer sayin' is stupid, frankly. I feel guilty as fuck that I hurt ya, that this happened to ya without ya askin’ for a sudden change in appearance and all of dat but… Ugh, I feel like shit for sayin’ this but I love yer eyes. I’ve said it before but I hate sayin’ it anyway because I caused them. Doesn't sit well. Okay? It’s absolutely NOT like Paula .” he said her name with utter disgust.

2D looked at him quizzically. “Ya still hate her, don’t ya?”

“Hate her? I despise that piece of trash. Even more than I did back then, if I’m honest.”

“How so?” 2D was genuinely curious. It had been so long ago, he didn't think Murdoc would still be angry at her.

He scoffed. “Because if she wasn’t so goddamned self-centred and ignorant, that lowlife could’ve had ya! As in, all this time, maybe until today! If she realised what she had, you’d be hers forever I guess.” he said, gritting his pointy teeth.

2D went quiet. For the longest time he was deeply in love with Paula, following her around like a puppy with heart eyes. Things got weird after the accident, but had she been supportive and loving with him, it’s actually pretty likely that they would’ve at least continued dating. Murdoc wasn’t too far off, but 2D didn’t really like the comparison.

But before he could say anything, the satanist continued. “And… I hate her because I’m so much worse than her.”

“Wot are ya talkin’ about, that’s not true—”

“—The difference between me and Paula is, that I actually freakin' love ya jus' the way ya are, I’d never leave ya jus’ cause of some different-lookin’ eyes and a couple missin’ teeth and I sincerely jus’ fuckin’ want to be with ya… but it’s me we’re talkin’ about, and I’m not good enough for ya. She would've been, and I guess I'm not.”

“How can ya say dat?! Yer completely missin’ the point!” 2D exclaimed loudly, suddenly mad at the suggestion that he would’ve preferred Paula over him.

“Well, enlighten me then! Wot exactly is the issue with bein’ with me?” he challenged.

2D sighed deeply. “I told ya, I’m scared.”

“Of wot?!”

“Of ya gettin’ bored and wantin’ to fuck other people and longin’ for bein’ soddin’ single again! Of-of us goin’ ta our concerts and parties and seeing those women cling to ya and you droolin’ over them. Of me not bein’ enough to satisfy ya. I-I can’t do the whole open relationship thing. I thought about it but I can’t, it’s not me. I’m either single and just fuckin’ everyone I can or I’m with one person, and only one. And I don’t think ya can do jus’ one ! And-and that’s fine, ‘s not a flaw or anythin’, it’s jus’… we’re jus’ incompatible I guess.”

“You think I can’t be with jus’ you?”

“Can ya?”

“Well, glad ya finally asked. I guess I’m not the only one who assumes first instead of askin’, huh?”

‘Touché’ , 2D thought. “Yer right… sorry.” he said sheepishly but still waited for Murdoc’s answer to his question.

Murdoc looked up to the rainy sky, noticing how the raindrops were finally thinning out.

“Do you remember that time we did our first zombie movie marathon? Jus’ you and me, not with the others.”

2D looked up at him with slightly widened eyes.

“Yea. Yea, ‘course I do.”

~

March 3rd, 1999.

The band didn’t have an album yet, but they had been playing a few gigs here and there at pubs and small venues and the reception had been great so far. Whenever they were playing, people seemed to come alive and almost sober up, no matter what kind of shithole place they were drowning their sorrows at. And of course, even with the smallest taste of fame, some benefits were already starting to emerge and Murdoc was perhaps the one that was enjoying these the most out of them.

And that leads us to this evening in March, 1999, after the newly formed band played a few cover songs at a medium-sized pub. Sure, they weren't world-famous yet, but in the bubble that was this pub, they had a lot of attention and were the most interesting people around. Many girls and guys interested in hooking up would approach them and try their chances.

Russel had been chatting with one girl, sitting on a couch by the wall and enjoying a few drinks with her. 2D, despite getting a lot of attention from other people, really wasn’t feeling like indulging in casual sex tonight. He usually didn't miss the opportunity but it was different this time, so he had actually taken a taxi home with Noodle pretty soon after their performance had come to an end. On the other hand, Murdoc, for the first time ever, managed to sweet-talk not one, not two, but three women into going home with him for some ‘good times’.

The satanist arrived home with the three of them clinging to him, and after directing them to his bedroom he went to the kitchen to get some booze, ice cubes and whipped cream - a huge smile plastered on his face. He paused when he entered the kitchen and saw 2D making himself some tea.

“2D?”

The singer didn’t turn. “Hey Muds.” he answered.

“So… wot happened? Thought ya’d be with at least one bird up in yer room right now. Wot’s up with the tea there, mate?”

“Oh I jus’… I’m not feelin’ up for it this time.”

“Dents, yanno that this doesn’t happen all the time, right? We’re not famous yet , this is only when we’re lucky enough to get one of these gigs. Gotta enjoy ‘em. Who knows when we’re gettin’ the next one!”

“I know, but it’s fine, really.”

“Well, I got three of ‘em up there, I’m sure at least one of ‘em would want a piece of ya if ya want. I don' mind. But yer gonna have to play wingman some other time, eh? To rrrrepay my generosity!” he suggested, laughing proudly at the end.

“Uh thanks, I guess, but no. Have fun though.” he replied, now turning around and walking towards the door, warm cuppa in his hands and looking pretty sulky.

Murdoc saw the way he looked and jumped in-between 2D and the door, now with a worried expression on his face.

“Hey, hey, hold on. Wot’s wrong? Did somethin’ happen?”

“No, nothin’ really happened. It’s fine, I’m fine.” he said, and tried going around him but Murdoc blocked his way again.

“Dents. It’s me , ya can talk to me. C’mon! Wot happened?”

2D sighed. “Thanks Muds. But it’s fine, the girls are waitin’ for ya, go ahead. We can talk tomorrow, okay? I’ll be alright.”

Murdoc studied his face for a bit. “Right.”

“Good. Have fun.” he said before walking away and going to the living room.

He sat down on the couch, put the mug on the coffee table and got himself a thick blanket before sitting down with it draped over his head and wrapped around the rest of his body. And there he stayed, for the next couple of minutes, staring at the steam coming from his mug and disappearing into thin air, not moving a muscle.

It was an odd feeling, to feel like being on a track to achieve their wildest dreams of being a successful band, having had an amazing night singing and playing along with his best friends, but still feeling hollow like this. He pulled the blanket tighter around him, his face being the only part of his body poking out of his hiding spot.

“Are ya tryna turn into a burrito or a cocoon? Hard to tell from here, but both seem to be workin'.”

2D was pulled out of his trance by the familiar voice.

“Wot are ya doin’ here? Thought you’d be full-on naked by now.”

“I can still take off my clothes now if ya want.” he joked.

“Ya know wot I mean, idiot. Don’t ya have company waitin’ for ya upstairs?”

“Nah, I sent ‘em home.” he said, now walking towards the couch, and 2D then noticed he had two bottles with him.

“Sent them home ? Wo—why? Wot happened?”

The bassist sat down next to him, putting the two bottles on the coffee table before turning to the singer.

“I thought ya could use some 5-star company, yanno? So here I am!” he joked again, just like he usually does in serious situations where he wants to help but doesn’t really know how.

2D just furrowed his eyebrows in response.

“Fine, fine. I jus’ wanted ta spend some time with ya, that’s all. Ya seemed to not be feeling so great today, so I figured I’d lend an ear and offer some of my finest booze.”

“But ya didn’ have ta send ‘em home! We could still talk tomorrow! Wot happened to 'enjoyin' this while we can' an' all of tha'?”

“2D. Do ya honestly feel like you’d rather be alone right now? Now, be honest with me.” he asked in a serious tone.

“I…” he thought about it for a few seconds. “No… I don’t.”

“Yea. I knew that from the way ya looked before. I can read that pretty frontman face of yers like a book. So there ya go.”

The bluenette felt his face warming up at the compliment, although it wasn't rare for Murdoc to say these things.

“I feel bad though… that means I ruined yer night.” he said, looking down at his hands and picking at his fingernails.

“ Ruined? Hah! I just had a whole lotta fun with my bandmates playin’ like rock stars, and now I get to spend some quality time with my best mate! If ya ask me, this may as well be the greatest night of all time!”

2D looked at him, his facial expression finally starting to improve.

“Do ya really mean tha’?”

“‘Course I do! Now, why don’ ya get us some zombie flicks for us ta watch, huh?” he offered, deciding he wouldn't force the other man to open up about what was the cause of his sorrows. He'd simply be here with him, make him company, make him feel happy, safe and comfortable. If 2D decided he wanted to talk, he'd be a shoulder to cry on, but it was up to the singer.

That’s when the bluenette’s eyes almost seemed to sparkle. He came out of his shell, stood up fast and kneeled down in front of the big messy box where he kept his VHS tapes, looking for a few special titles.

“Okay, wot are ya up for? I got, uh… Night of the Living Dead , uh, The Beyond , let’s see… Return of the Living Dead , of course. Dawn of the Dead …”

“Anythin’ ya want. Hell, all of ‘em if we can both stay awake!”

2D almost cried out of excitement. He always wanted to do a marathon of zombie movies but his former friends or girlfriends never enjoyed it as much as he did. They’d agree to one movie every now and then, but nothing like this. And he doesn’t think Murdoc is a zombie flick fan by any means, he just seems to be doing this to make him happy.

The singer decides to start with Dawn of the Dead , and Murdoc opens a bottle of rum for them to share. And the night goes on with the two watching movies, passing the bottle back and forth, talking and laughing. At some point by the third movie, 2D goes quiet, suddenly remembering what he was sad about before. Murdoc of course notices when he stops commenting on the movie scenes, and the singer ends up confiding in him. The day before would have been his and Paula’s anniversary. Although he doesn’t miss her, he misses having a steady partner. He missed the different type of intimacy, the idea of being there for the other person no matter what, and knowing they’d be there for them, and so on. He didn’t think he’d have anyone else because of the way he looked - apparently the trauma from Paula’s rejection was carrying on strong in his mind. All in all, he thought he was bound to only have casual encounters and nothing more, for the rest of his life.

“That’s nonsense” Murdoc would say. “Anyone would be lucky ta have ya.”

A little while later, they’re still talking and Murdoc is now hugging him and gently stroking his hair, his own head resting on top of his. 2D was crying and apologising for doing so, over and over, while Murdoc reassured him that it was ‘okay to cry’ and to ‘stop bein’ an idiot’ .

They ended up falling asleep like this, and never talked about the specifics of that night again.

~

Present days.

“I thought for sure ya didn’ remember all of this. Figured ya were too drunk.” 2D commented after they talked a bit about that night for the first time today. They had ended up on an alleyway close to his parents’ home while talking, and were now both sitting on the floor, side by side.

“Too drunk? Pfft. That wasn’t nearly enough alcohol to give me a blackout. Of course I remember everythin’. That remains one of the best nights ever.”

“Ya think so too?”

“Yep.”

2D got quiet again for a bit, thinking about the memory Murdoc chose to bring up.

“So… Why did ya wanna talk about that one night?”

“Right. So… Ya said I can’t do the whole ‘just one person’ thing. I think that’s bollocks. Back then, that night? We weren’t lifetime mates yet. Ya were my best mate already, sure, but we hadn’t known each other for too long. I remember how fuckin’ stressed out ya were that night thinking ya fucked up my night. And all I could ever think about was, ‘I don’t give a flyin’ fuck about those birds’ . To be honest, I would completely forget about them when you and I were together, until ya reminded me of them again throughout the night. See wot I mean?”

Noticing how 2D didn’t seem to be getting his point, he continued.

“You always seemed to think these groupies were my priority, my main goal, all the time throughout the years. But it’s always been you. If ya needed me, I’d flip everyone else the bird and go to you. Sure, it wasn’t necessarily romantic back then, but I can’t say I’d do the same for other mates either. Not to the same extent I’d do these things for you. And my point is, if it was easy then, why would it be hard now? I’d argue it’s even easier after all we’ve been through lately.”

“Do ya really think it’s easy? I mean, ya got used to life as a celebrity and all, ya were always bringing people home or to hotels or your winnebago…”

“I can still have that with you.”

“Do ya really want that, Muds? Ya know it’s different.”

“Too late, ya changed me already.”

“Changed ya?”

“Ya know that for the longest time, I never wanted any uh, romantic involvements. I had all kinds of bullshit thoughts about that. And I guess I was scared of gettin’ involved and then gettin’ hurt, probably due to my shitty upbringing as ya know so well. But while I was busy tryin’ my best to not let anyone in, you ” he poked 2D in the forehead for emphasis “you little, adorable shithead simply went on to sneak in without me noticing. By the time I realised wot the hell was goin’ on, I had already turned into this lame arse wantin’ ta get us a house with the soddin’ white picket fence.”

2D could not hold back a smile not only at the sweet things he said, but at the swearing and the jokes that can’t stay out of his sentences for too long. He couldn’t help but joke back at him.

“There’s probably a house like that for sale somewhere here in Crawley.”

Murdoc smiled back.

“Nah, I took it too far with that one. I could get us a new winnebago though, jus’ for the two of us. I can put up a sign by the door that says ‘Pot-Niccals Residence. Sod off. ’ he says that last part motioning with his hands to how the sign would look like.

The bluenette laughs, and it’s a genuine, infectious laugh that was rare these past couple of weeks. ‘Fuck, it’s so good to see it’ , the bassist thought.

"Y'know… tha' doesn' sound too bad at all." the singer said.

They stared at each other for a few moments and Murdoc couldn't help himself.

“Do ya mean tha’?”

2D’s heart is thumping so fast that he lost the ability to speak, so after a short delay he nods, now looking at his lips.

Murdoc swallows, almost taken by surprise that things had apparently worked out after all. He touches the singer’s cheeks with both hands and 2D rests one of his hands on top of Murdoc’s, holding it in place. They close distance gently, softer than their first kiss, likely softer than any other kiss that they had shared before. Their kiss goes deeper, but not heated. Not this time. Not yet.

After they stop, they look at each other and smile once more. Then the bassist laughs.

“Wot is it?” 2D asks, slightly confused.

“The rain stopped a while ago.”

2D is looking at him like he’s gone insane. I mean, why would the weather be funny all of a sudden?

“The hell are ya talkin’ about?”

“It should've been a make-up kiss under the rain, Dents. That’s how it always goes! The timing is off, it’s all messed up.”

2D smiles.

“Eh, yer right. Shitty script huh? Total missed opportunity.”

They smile and their lips find one another again.

~

When they’re back to the house again late afternoon, they’re met with worry and curiosity from everyone. They don’t feel the need to go into any details about what happened. Their smiles speak for themselves, but 2D holds Murdoc’s hand in response to the inquiries from their bandmates and the Pots. Mixed feelings aside, they’re happy that Murdoc and 2D are both clearly happy.

They decide to spend the night and have some proper, drama-free family time the next day to make up for what they’ve been causing. It’s a bit awkward, as one would expect, but the house is actually filled with warmth regardless. Later that following day, as they’re getting ready to leave and go home, David approaches Murdoc, who was in one of the guest rooms while 2D was in the shower. Apparently hiding from the Pots inside that bedroom didn’t really work as he hoped and now he’d have to have some sort of serious talk… again.

“May I come in?” David asked.

Murdoc felt awkward - I mean, it was the other man’s home after all. Of course he could come in. He simply nodded in response.

David came in and stood in front of him, both hands in his trouser pockets.

“Listen, Murdoc. This, uh… this is really hard for me to do. But I want to apologise to you.” He started, shocking the bassist. “I said some pretty nasty things to you. And as I just recently learned, most of them were based off of some false stories you guys decided to make up, for some reason. It… it was just too much for me. Having always had those stories as facts in my head, I couldn’t just be okay with a supposedly horrible human being who would’ve done terrible things to my son, to suddenly be kissing him right here in our kitchen. I assume you understand my point of view, don’t you?”

Murdoc nodded, not knowing what to say. He was right, of course, knowing what he knew.

“So now I know you’re not a monster. Okay? I know you caused the first accident, but I also know you feel truly guilty about it, so… I get it. I’m not happy about it, but if my son forgives you, I can do the same. And I know Rachel can too. The issue though, is… after decades of fueling this, uh… sentiment… it’s damn hard to shake off the mental image I created of you. But I’m trying. And if you continue to make my son happy and be respectful of him, well… we may end up getting along after all.”

The bassist could barely believe the words he just heard. He never expected the Pots to stop hating him, ever. And although he hated having this type of conversation, he knew that 2D’s parents deserved an explanation and most of all, an apology. The notion that they’ve spent decades suffering, thinking about all of the things their son supposedly had gone through, and 2D always avoiding the subject whenever they brought it up… It’s absolutely shitty to say the least. He cleared his throat and tried his best to be polite and likeable when he spoke.

“Mr. Pot, I’m honestly sorry we made the two of ya suffer because of this. I know it’s been really hard for Stu to keep the truth from ya, and I’m the one to blame for that. I’m sorry I convinced them all to lie for my moronic ideas. I know now that it was a very stupid strategy and we all came to regret it after some time. We jus’… kept on reaffirming those stories during interviews and such. Sometimes we even lost track of timelines and details, so we said a lot of contradictory things over the years because of that. I bet some people are suspicious, to be honest.”

“It was moronic, I absolutely agree with you there. And I’m angry that you all did this in the first place, but...” he sighed, pausing for a moment. “Thank you for being honest now. It took a hell of a lot of time, but I’m so relieved to know my son is, and has always been safe after all.”

“Of course. And uh, if it’s up to me, he… He’ll always be happy, uh, I mean, I’ll always do my best to--” he fumbled, a little embarrassed and not really knowing how to phrase what he wanted to say.

“I know, Murdoc.” David spared the man, smiling for the first time in a while. “I can tell.”

~

They were all exhausted when they got home, so after a quick snack they all went to bed early. Murdoc and 2D were in the singer’s room, lying on the bed facing one another.

“So… how was the talk with me dad? Sounded serious from wot I heard…”

“Ah, it went alright. Called me his son-in-law. We’re actually goin’ fishing next Sunday.”

2D laughed. “Shuddup, idiot. I jus’ wanna know.”

The bassist smiled wide. “No but seriously, it was alright. We jus’ talked, and I guess the Pots don’ hate me quite as much anymore. Which means , I guess now I’m gonna have ta go ta yer folks’ house all the time now, right? Do the whole Thanksgiving dinner thing, Christmas and all of that crap?”

“Uh, I guess sometimes, yea. Are ya okay with doin’ these things?” he asked, nervous about how the inconvenience could be a turn off for Murdoc.

“Comes with the package, innit? And yer quite the package.” he said with a grin, kissing him and then biting his bottom lip, making 2D groan.

“Mmm… Am I?” He wrapped his arms around the bassist’s neck, pulling him close.

Murdoc started trailing his neck and his collarbone with kisses. “Mhmm… maybe I should wrap you with a nice, red ribbon.” his hand touching every inch of his body.

“Oh I like the sound of tha’...” his own hands doing the same, welcoming the warmth that irradiated from Murdoc. Long fingers trailed down the other’s chest, sometimes softly raking his fingernails over his skin, sometimes gripping his flesh almost too tightly, until his hands briefly stopped right above his pants. Part of him wanted to take this slow, to enjoy every second of this, but the truth is he didn’t know if he had it in him to be patient this time. Frankly, patience has never been the singer’s forte and tonight wasn’t exactly the best time to start practising anything remotely resembling tantric sex.

His hand started stroking the bulge in Murdoc’s pants, but the kisses around his own neck and collarbone were making him gasp and crave for more. He wanted more, he needed more. More skin, less fabric. More sex, less foreplay. With unwavering resolve, he moved both of his hands to work on Murdoc’s belt, quickly unzipping his pants as soon as the belt was dealt with. The bassist chuckled softly as he felt his own pants being yanked down and helped get them off of him and onto the floor, soon followed by his underwear.

"C'mon Muds… I need ya." he said, pressing his whole body against him in a desperate need of more friction, more Murdoc.

Something changed in Murdoc’s eyes and you could tell he had a very different idea in his head. Slowly, he grinned at the singer and then moved closer, his lips touching the other’s earlobe as he whispered.

“Oh, eager, aren’t we?” He traced the outside of his ear with his tongue, painfully slow.

2D moaned, trembling as he used both of his hands to pull Murdoc’s hips closer.

“Jus’... please, I-”

He was cut off by his own moan as the bassist moved down to his neck, grazing his teeth over the sensitive skin while his hand teased over the singer’s waistband. It was too much for 2D and he was losing the patience he didn’t even have to start with. He enjoyed the sensation for just a moment before deciding to just pull down his own pants and underwear to move things along. He then wrapped his long legs around the bassist, pulling him closer once again.

"I need ya now, okay? No more waitin'."

Murdoc slid his hand down his sides, grabbing onto the subtle curves and admiring every inch of skin. Not too long ago, he thought this would never happen again, so this night was particularly special for him. It wasn't just some quick, sneaky shag inside a nightclub bathroom stall like two horny drunkards. Maybe next Tuesday.

Tonight he wanted to take his time, memorise 2D's body - making a mental map of every curve, every dip, every freckle, every scar.

"Hmm yer not enjoyin' this?"

"Of course I am!

“Then quit yammerin’, will ya?”

“I-I’m not, I jus’ don’ wanna wait any—”

“Alright then, since ya won’t shut it…” Murdoc said while suddenly sitting up and pulling 2D closer so that his face was inches away from his twitching cock. His fingers gripped blue strands tightly and he grinned, staring at the singer’s lips. “I guess I have to find a better use for tha’ lovely mouth of yers, huh?” he suggested in a playful way.

Although he was so desperate to feel Murdoc inside of him already, he was beyond horny and the sight of that cock right in front of him made his mouth water in anticipation. Without missing a second, he leaned forward, grabbing the base and licking from the bottom all the way to the top, staring up at Murdoc the entire time. Almost instantaneously he felt the man shiver and saw his half-lidded eyes fill with lust. Now 2D is the one with a plan. Murdoc wanted to take his time? We’ll see how long he’ll manage.

He slipped the tip into his mouth, swirling his tongue around it before sinking his head down deeper and deeper. Sucking him hard, he went back up and looked straight into Murdoc’s eyes again. The realisation of what he got himself into was clear on the man’s face. Maybe a blowjob from 2D after being practically an immaculate virgin (as per Murdoc’s own definitions) for weeks when he wanted to make this night last longer, uh… was probably not the most rational idea, to put it mildly.

Whatever 2D could not fit into his mouth, he used his fingers, wrapping them around the base and pumping his cock as he bobbed his head up and down, falling into a steady rhythm while his other hand grabbed at the man’s sides and raked his fingernails along his skin. The lewd sounds coming from him were loud, but nothing compared to the mess of groans coming from Murdoc, his head falling back and eyes tightly closed.

Noticing that, 2D slowed down a little, pulling his head up until the satanist’s cock was freed from the warmth of his mouth. With his lips still touching the tip, he looked at Murdoc.

“Look at me.”

His eyes shot open, his whole body quivering from the sudden change. 2D continued.

“Thought ya wanted to enjoy every bit of this… so eyes open, kay?” He smirked and began trailing wet kisses up and down his shaft, sometimes licking the entire length and then blowing it softly and watching it twitch in response.

“Fuck!” He moaned and grabbed fistfuls of blue strands, now completely at his mercy as 2D expertly worked on him as if he had been formally trained on this for decades. And he took his sweet time, too. He licked every inch and hummed in pleasure as if he was having his favourite dessert, his smug face proud of the good job he knew he was doing, judging by the state Murdoc was in. He would suck him hard, cheeks hollowed, until Murdoc could barely contain himself, and then suddenly he’d slow down, teasing him with a soft brush of his lips. He knew it was only a matter of (not too much) time before…

“S-stop!” He heard while simultaneously being pulled away, whining in response but feeling like he accomplished what he set out to do. And the reward was close, if only he continued pressing the right buttons.

“Y’wanna fuck me now, don’ ya? I know ya can’t wait any longer.” he said grinning lazily, moving up slowly until he was face-to-face with Murdoc and almost straddling him. He moved his ass down slightly, just enough for it to brush against the bassist’s cock. He could move this along by adjusting himself, aligning the tip and starting to slowly press down, but he wanted to see Murdoc break - he wanted to see him lose the control that he thought he had, lose all the strength and resolve he had gathered and just take 2D.

Murdoc couldn’t reply, still trying hard to regain dominance. His eyes were closed again and he was taking deep breaths through his nose. 2D, of course, didn’t take pity on him.

“Look at me.” he said for the second time that night. When Murdoc complied, he saw the bluenette looking right into his damn soul, a subtle grin on his face and his hard cock demanding attention.

2D leaned in close to his ear. “I bet ya can’t wait to shove yer cock inside me and fuck me til’ ‘m sore.”

Murdoc let out a short, shaky breath before pulling 2D’s face and slamming his lips against his in a hungry kiss, his hands then moving down his body, one grabbing hard at one of his cheeks while the other guided the tip of his own cock to the tight entrance. Almost in a haze, he broke the kiss for a second.

“Lube?”

“No, jus’ fuck me.”

His mismatched eyes were a mix of uncertainty and lust, and 2D knew he would be worried about hurting him after all this time without doing any of this, but the singer didn’t care. He was way past the point of being rational or caring about pain. So Murdoc moved his lips to 2D’s neck, working on relaxing and pleasuring him as his hands slowly pulled the singer’s hips down, little by little.

“Ya were right. I do wanna fuck ya so hard ya won’ even walk tomorrow.”

2D moaned in response, Murdoc’s words making the pain dissipate like it was nothing. “And ya were so desperate for my cock, weren’t ya?” he continued.

“Y-yea”

He continued guiding him down until he was fully inside, shuddering from having to restrain himself.

"Alright, show me then. Show me how desperate ya are."

That was 2D' cue to start moving, and he did just as he was told. At first, his hips moved slowly, in a tantalising way that drove Murdoc insane. He took his time rolling circles on the bassist’s cock, kissing and biting Murdoc’s lips as he did so, and then leaned back and started picking up the pace, bouncing up and down and moaning shamelessly. He kept his black eyes trained on Murdoc, still challenging him in a way, compelling the other to do the same. And Murdoc did. He let his eyes trail over his body, so alluring, so hypnotic that it felt like he had lost control entirely. The way 2D moved up and down, slamming his arse onto his cock over and over, his skin covered in a thin layer of sweat and his throat emitting the most captivating sounds that would make a siren envious.

2D felt strong hands grasp his hips and force him down harder, Murdoc’s hips slamming into him, meeting in the middle. He pounded into him with everything he had, nothing else mattering at that moment besides fucking each other’s brains out. They could both feel the heat building up, the amount of pleasure being almost unbearable to handle.

"I… f-fuck, I'm --" 2D could barely let these words out as he arched his back and came hard, moaning even louder than he was before. Just a few more thrusts and Murdoc reached his climax, every muscle in both of their bodies twitching from the intensity.

They held each other close while catching their breaths, savouring the moment of pure bliss and intimacy they were in. Their fingers tangled in each other's hair and their lips locked again, savouring their mouths slowly, almost as if this was their first kiss all over again.

Murdoc pulled away softly. They both had so much they still wanted to say to each other after the rocky path they had just been through, but their closeness right now seemed enough. They smiled, both of them on the same wavelength… until 2D started giggling.

"Wot is it?"

"No, nothin', jus'..." he said, smiling. Murdoc raised an eyebrow waiting for him to continue. "Jus' startin' ta think maybe a winnebago is not a bad idea after all… I mean, I think Russel and Noodle would really appreciate the distance." he suggested, slightly embarrassed after realising how loud they must've been.

Murdoc grinned back at him.

"With the sign an' everythin'?"

He pulled him close for another kiss. "Specially with the sign."

Notes:

Hey all, I just want to thank you guys again. And say sorry again.

I had fun writing these last two chapters, so I really hope you enjoyed it. It was a bit tough to write since it had been years since I last wrote for this fic but I did my best to get into the same headspace I was in before. I hope it didn't feel too different from the rest!

Anyways, THANK YOU SOOOOOO FUCKING MUCH FOR READING THIS and commenting and all of that.

Notes:

Thanks for reading! Please leave comments and feedback so that I can improve.

By the way, this is my second fic! If you haven’t already, you’re welcomed to check out my other 2doc fic, I Wanna See You. Thank you!
