Chapter Text
The same time Jimin was telling his story to Jungkook and Taehyung, Hoseok was driving to Jimin’s house to get his pills. He was deep in thought about what happened before he visited the hospital. About what Hwasa told him before he visited Jimin.
Hoseok felt immense guilt having escorted Jimin himself in everyone’s lives. He was aware of Yoongi’s position, knew that the alpha depended on him and Namjoon to handle such delicate matters because the precinct methods of handling delicate things were brutal.
So Hoseok had asked Yoongi to trust him and bought sometime before the alpha got involved in the whole expose. He had left the precinct and wanted to run to the hospital to confront the omega himself when he got a call from his lodge that the alpha Hwasa had threatened his staff into letting her go. Thankfully the guards were outside and had gotten hold of the situation. That alpha pup! She was Jimin’s younger sister and seriously needed to be told by someone that she was young, not the owner of the place. So he did what his instincts told him to do, he only realised he was standing outside Hwasa’s allotted room in his lodge when the assigned guard bowed to him.
“I need to speak to her.”
“Sure, hyung. Please be careful.” The guard, a young alpha Hoseok knew, moved aside to let Hoseok knock at the door.
The alpha opened the door in annoyance.
“Now what- You?”
“Yes, Hwasa-shi. I need to speak with you.”
“I am done talking.”
“LISTEN pup!” Hoseok said as he entered the room. “You are on my property, if you threaten my people, I will lodge my own complaint against you and you will be in lockup in no time!”
“I am no pup! I am a grown alpha woman!”
“You are still young. And I am older than you!” Hobi didn’t know why he was behaving like he was disciplining a young family pup. Maybe knowing that she was Jimin’s sister made her more than a stranger to him. “And someone’s got to teach you to respect their elders. We have been accommodating but that doesn’t mean you stomp your way around.”
Hwasa glared but knowing Hoseok was not kidding with his jail threat, huffed in annoyance.
“I don’t know what else you want to know. If I were in a place like Seoul, I would be getting hold of my slutty brother and be out of this place.” Hwasa said glaringly, but she let Hoseok take a seat on the couch while she stood by the wall.
“I have known Jimin for the past few days and I want to know why you would claim so rudely that he is some runaway omega who ruined your lives. He is a good person for all I know.”
“Why don’t you ask him?”
“I will, in fact I was going to. But now here I am and you can as well tell me. Rant out your anger. Maybe then you’ll know that we are not against you or anything. We are just protecting our pack from whatever conflict you siblings have brought upon us.”
And thus began two perspectives of the same story of the Park siblings.
(Both Hwasa and Jimin POV)
Jimin was fortunate to be born in an influential family. His father had inherited his family’s renowned law firm “Park and Sons Legal Group '' and had majority of the big businesses as his clients. Imagine Park Jaehyun’s delight when the first born of their family was a healthy boy that looked like a prince. Anyone who looked at his boy praised his angelic looks and Park Jaehyun’s chest filled with a little more pride everyday.
Growing up, Jimin was a great kid and had everyone wrapped around his finger. He was four when his mother told him that he would soon meet his younger sibling.
"Will it be a brother or sister, Mama?" He asked as played on his mother's lap, his small fingers tangled in his mother's shirt.
"Well it's a surprise! But I'm sure whoever it will be, will be blessed to have an older brother like you. You'll love them right?"
"I'll love them this much." Jimin flexed both arms apart measuring the longest distance he could, making his mother chuckle.
"You do that, okay? Love them more for me if possible." His mother said with tears in her eyes.
Jimin didn’t know better than to comprehend the strange request, so he promised.
"I will, Mama. As you say. I'll love them more for you"
Little did he know, his mother was struggling through her second pregnancy and her doctor had recommended her to abort the pup. But Jimin’s father had strictly asked the doctors to carry on, not that Jimin’s mother hated that a bit. But she did want her second child to not be alone if she doesn't make it.
Later Jimin got to know why his father wanted the second child so deliberately. Jimin was too soft to be a beta, leave alone an alpha. Even when he had not presented at four years of age, anyone with eyes could tell that the angelic boy was destined to be a beautiful omega.
Unfortunately, Jimin’s mother died giving birth to his sister Hwasa. Jimin didn’t know what to do, he cried for days but he eventually gave up when he found his newborn sister crying alone one night in her crib. Since that day, the four year old boy grew up a bit more as he started taking care of his sister with the help of available staff. His father was irritated a bit, first child an omega and second one a girl. He hardly looked at the siblings.
But the Park siblings were close. Hwasa and Jimin loved each other.
Over the years, the family somehow learnt to live together as one. To his father's delight Hwasa presented as an alpha. His father was also happy that Jimin was a very beautiful omega, rather than a beta. Now, he could make connections with other families in exchange for his omega son.
Jimin did not mind, he was happy that his father was happy. He was happy that his father accepted Hwasa, now that she had presented as a strong alpha. The girl held immense physical strength for a girl and a good mental strength for an alpha.
“I’ll take care of you oppa!” Hwasa had said while getting petted herself on his lap. Jimin had laughed and hoped that maybe someday Hwasa would be strong enough to comfort him back.
Enter Song Dal, Jaehyun’s long time client whose business was into almost everything and Park Jaehyun was always there to bring him out of water whenever he was into any trouble which he was in a lot, at the beginning. But slowly, Song Enterprises was a force to reckon with.
"Your son looks ethereal, '' Song Dal had remarked once in one of their family dinners.
His son, Woojung was also looking at the unaware Jimin who was busy wiping his sister from the mess she'd made with her dinner.
"He will make a good omega in future wherever he goes." Jaehyun had commented, repeating whatever his acquaintances have regularly told him about his son.
"He shouldn't go anywhere else." Mr. Song shared a look with his son who shyly nodded his agreement, much to Jaehyun’s surprise.
“Oh! I never thought about it, but it makes so much sense!” Jaehyun’s delighted chuckle even surprised the two unaware kids.
“It would be great for our businesses too. Woojung can train Hwasa when she takes over for you. And Jimin can be a proxy for Woojung in appearances for both the firms. A perfect system!” Dal offered.
“That would be amazing! I desperately needed an ally for my daughter!” Jaehyun supplied.
“I know, alpha or not, the world is unfair to women sometimes, Woojung can be a great ally.”
And so it was set, unbeknownst to the Park siblings.
(Jimin POV)
But I didn’t know that Woonjung and I were not compatible. He was way too forward for me.
I only understood the whole deal when multiple times my father asked Woojung to drop me while he had something more to do at events. It was one weird evening when Woojung had touched my thighs while driving. Not hands, thighs! What on earth! I was nineteen! I did not know where to hide. We were alone in the car.
“What happened? Is anything the matter?” Woojung, who was just twenty-two back then, had innocently asked. Although the voice was soft, it was authoritative. I gulped as I answered.
“N..nothing!”
“Father, please send me in our own car next time, Woojung is an alpha.” I had asked my father the first thing the next morning at breakfast.
“So what?” My father said undisturbed, turning another page in the newspaper.
“I- Umm..I don’t know how to tell you appa. It just gets uncomfortable sometimes.” I felt shy discussing such a thing with my father.
“You do know you will marry an alpha someday, right?”
“I do know, but..”
“Shut it, you are soon turning twenty. Like any other responsible father, I will arrange for you to go out with suitable alphas. Eventually, you will marry someone of my liking and live a comfortable life. Do you even know how poor omegas live? They get kidnapped and raped at young age. They often marry alphas who are poor providers.”
“Father..” I didn’t know where all this was coming from? Had his father already decided his future for him without even discussing what he wants!
“I’ve never deprived you of anything all your life, it seems I’ve only spoiled you.”
“No Appa, please don’t say that.” I was so overwhelmed with such allegations that I could hardly speak.
“It happens, you know. To children with no mothers. I was so burdened when your silly mother died of her own delusional diseases. But I thought I did all I could. I was wrong.” My father heaved a bit as he ended his sentence. He touched his chest, making me get up from my seat and run to him.
“Appa! Are you alright?” I panicked as I handed him a glass of water.
“I’m getting old Jimin-ah” My father’s voice turned soft. “Hwasa is still a kid, but you have been with me all these years, seeing all my struggles juggling work and family. I did not expect you to retaliate like this!” Appa had turned his back to me in annoyance.
“No Appa, please! I’m sorry! I should have never doubted you!” I sighed as I gave in to the whole situation that day thinking I’m only troubling my father by arguing about the whole ordeal.
All this while, my sister was totally unaware of this side of the whole situation.
(Hwasa POV)
Jimin and Woojung oppa often went to events together. They looked so good together. Oppa adored Jimin but my brother was prude. He behaved like he was some queen who needed to be worshipped for being courted. I saw him often creating distance from Woojung oppa. But Woojung oppa didn’t mind.
Whenever Woojung oppa met me he took updates on how I was doing in my studies and helped me better understand what was going on in our and his businesses.
Everything was going alright but then my brother had to go rogue. All because of his tramp-like friends.
(Jimin POV)
I had no knowledge of how wrong things were until I met Taemin and Minho hyung.
