Chapter Text
Nicole wasn’t used to this much activity at 9:15 on a Tuesday morning, but here she was, in the furthest stall from the door in the girls’ bathroom, being pushed against the wall by the taller blonde girl.
“Shit, Jeck, take me out to dinner first.”
“What, so you can order pizza and wait for it to get cold? Stop trying to change the subject, Nicole.” Jecka had both her hands firmly grasped around Nicole’s wrists, holding them above her head. Their faces were only inches apart, and Nicole could see that telltale look in her eyes that Jecka had, the look of hunger. Nicole gulped.
“What subject?” Nicole taunted, trying to regain some semblance of sway in the ‘conversation’. “Seems to me like you aren’t exactly looking to chat.”
“Now you’re getting it.” Jecka leaned in, tilting her head to one side, and Nicole, despite her earlier protests, instinctively did the same. As their lips locked, Jecka pushed her knee in between Nicole’s legs, and brought her hands together above her head. She took one hand off and brought it down to Nicole’s shirt, deftly weaving it up, past her abdomen and under her bra. Nicole shuddered at the cold touch.
‘Fuck, she is way too good at this! When the fuck did she learn this..’ Nicole thought, unable to voice her words. After a long few seconds, Jecka pulled away for breath, panting, hand still exploring Nicole’s chest.
“Your hands are fucking freezing.”
“You love it.”
“Shut up.”
Jecka went to lean in once more, but abruptly stopped herself just short of Nicole’s lips.
“What, got cold feet now as well?” Nicole jabbed. “I thought you-”
“Shut up for a second!” Jecka hissed. Moments later, the door to the bathroom swung open.
“Oh my god, like, Mr. Burleday is such a dork.” The girls recognised that valley girl accent immediately.
“I can’t believe you convinced him that our periods synced up that easily.” The other girl replied.
‘Oh shit. You’re fucking joking. Of all the people that could have walked through that door.’ Nicole knew who it was. It was her ex, Ari, and her (probably) new girlfriend, Kelly. and she could tell Jecka figured it out as well.
“I mean, it’s a thing, isn’t it?” Kelly said. “Like, if you’re together all the time, or whatever, they just end up matching, right?”
“Dunno, and I don’t think Mr. Burleday knows either.”
At this point, it was clear these two were planning on skipping as well, much to Nicole’s chagrin.
“You knew this was the bathroom literally everyone skips in!” Nicole whispered, directly into Jecka’s ear. Any louder and they easily would have been heard. Jecka just smiled back, wordlessly.
“What are you-” Nicole was once again cut off, this time by Jecka’s hand, the one not copping a feel, covering her mouth. Jecka leaned in again, but this time, went straight for Nicole’s neck. Nicole let out a muffled moan, hoping to god not loud enough for the others to hear.
‘She’s so getting off on this, the sadistic bitch!’
First she ran her tongue along, from bottom to top.
Then, she kissed.
Then, the sucking.
Finally, a gentle bite. Not hard enough to hurt, just hard enough to cause Nicole to shudder, as she grasped the back of Jecka’s head.
Jecka released. She watched as a small trickle of blood ran down Nicole’s neck from the spot, and she ran her index up to the wound, gathering the blood, before sticking it into her mouth and popping it back out, now clean. She took her hand off of Nicole’s mouth, who at this point was barely holding it together, and leaned back on the stall wall, releasing Nicole from her holding.
“Fuck, it’s been almost 20 minutes, Kel.” Ari said. “We should probably get back before he suspects anything.”
“Yeah, I guess.” The two intruders left, leaving Nicole and Jecka alone once more. Nicole waited until she couldn’t hear their voices anymore before firing off at Jecka.
“What in the FUCK was that?” she exclaimed. “Are you a fucking vampire or something?”
“I dunno, heat of the moment, I guess.”
“You are sadistic.”
“That’s rich.”
“I don’t drink people’s fucking blood, do i?”
“Oh come on, it was, like, barely anything.”
“I feel like drinking blood is a pretty binary kink.” Nicole opened the stall door and walked over to the nearest mirror. “Oh fuck off.”
“What?” Jecka followed her out, nudging her aside to use the sink.
“You gave me a fucking hickey.” Sure enough, the spot where Jecka had gone to town had developed into a moderately sized bruise.
“I mean, that’s what happens when you bite.”
“But seriously, on my neck? Could it be any more obvious?”
“Well, would you have rathered it somewhere else?” Jecka teased.
“You know that’s not what I meant, bitch. I don’t care if bitches know I fuck, I just don’t want everyone thinking I’m some kind of weakass bottom”.
“I mean, you kinda are.” Nicole didn’t have a comeback. her cheeks were a subtle peach, ever since Jecka had dragged her into the bathroom first thing in the morning and shoved her into the back stall. But now, that peach had progressed to a brighter red.
And Jecka noticed.
And she pushed.
“I mean, you could always hide it with something.” Jecka said, turning to Nicole and tapping her own neck.
“Like what?”
“I think we both know what.” Nicole stared back for a moment, before realising what she meant.
“How the fuck..” she trailed off.
“Guess I'm just getting good at reading you.”
The bell rang for the second period, and the girls slinked into the crowd exiting the classrooms. Nicole was covering the mark with her hand, and she knew that she wasn’t gonna be able to do that all day. As they approached Nicole’s locker, Jecka spun around and pointed to it.
“I know you brought it to school today.” Nicole stood there for a moment, cogs in her brain turning to think of a last ditch excuse, some plan to not have to wear it.
To not have to wear that godforsaken choker.
She couldn’t.
“Ugh, fine.” She opened her locker and unzipped her bag. There it was, sitting underneath the grey jacket Nicole had lent her months prior that she never returned. She pulled it out and turned back to Jecka.
“Just so you know, I still think it’s dumb as hell.” She protested. “I just never took it out of my bag.” A complete lie. Nicole didn’t think it was dumb. She thought it was dumb how much Jecka seemed to like it, and she thought it was dumb how much that made her feel an emotion other than sadness or anger. What was that emotion called again?
Joy?
“Give it here. I know you probably can’t put it on yourself.” Jecka smirked, and took it off Nicole. She placed it on Nicole, the same way she had done the previous day, this time adjusting it so the strap was obscuring the bitemark.
“Well? Is it covering it?”
“Yeah. Totally.”
Nicole sighed. “Fine. let’s go to class, I guess.”
Nicole was convinced people were staring. Or at least, that people had noticed. In her mind, she might as well be wearing a sign saying ‘I’m a bottom bitch.’ although, she wouldn’t put it past Jecka to come up with something like that.
The reality was, most people didn’t care, or didn’t mess with Nicole. She had made her fair share of enemies, and they weren’t about to invoke her ire again. So really, she was pretty much in the clear.
Except for one person.
“Wow Nicole, had a fun morning?” Emily said, walking over to the two after class.
‘Shit.’
“And what’s that supposed to mean?” Nicole snapped back.
Emily pointed to her own neck.
“The choker’s not doing a great job.” Emily sat on the desk in front of the two.
‘Shit. shit shit shit.’
“So who managed to tame you?”
Nicole’s mind was working overtime, trying to find a way to weasel out of Emily’s interrogation.
“And why am I the one being tamed?” Nicole’s comeback game was off today.
“Because someone managed to hold you down long enough to give you that.”
Nicole had nothing. Emily was dead on. She was stumbling to think of something, anything, to say to get Emily off her case. She really did not want this getting around, and while Emily wasn’t the type to spread rumours, all it would take is her letting slip to a single other person, and BAM, the whole school knows.
While Nicole was quietly struggling to think of something to say, she noticed something. Jecka was just sitting there, leaning back in her chair.
Watching.
Grinning.
Messing with Nicole.
‘This bitch.’
She turned her eyes to Jecka, and glared, trying to telepathically communicate with her. Jecka sighed, and righted her chair, leaning on the table in front of them.
“Hey Em, you can keep a secret, right?” Jecka started.
“Oh, yeah, totally.”
“What the fuck are you doing?” Nicole began to protest.
“Trust me.” she turned back to Emily. “Would you believe me if I said I did it?”
‘She actually admitted to it?!’
Emily’s eyes widened slightly. “Oh, I mean, I kinda guessed there was something between you two, but I didn’t think you’d ever admit it.”
“Were we that obvious?” Jecka replied.
“You two are literally always together, and I don’t think I’ve seen either of you with anyone else. Except when you were dating Ari, I guess.”
At this point, Nicole was hiding her face in her hands, her face was heating up again, and there was no way she was letting Emily see that. She had a reputation, and getting embarrassed was not part of that. Not that she would admit that she was embarrassed.
“You good, Nicole?” Emily snapped her out of her spiral.
“Wha? Oh, yeah, I’m good.”
“Jecka isn’t bullshitting?”
Nicole knew she couldn’t lie out of this. “Uh, yeah, I guess we’re technically dating?”
“Sweet.” Emily got up off the desk and walked towards the door. Once she was gone, Nicole turned to Jecka.
“You actually fucking told her?!” She said, trying not to raise her voice too much.
Jecka smirked. “Why not? She said she wouldn’t tell anyone. I trust her. I mean, I know you don’t trust anyone, but even you know she won’t snitch.”
“Let’s fucking hope so.”
“Hey girls, this classroom isn’t open all day.” Mr. Burleday yelled from across the room.
“Oh shit.” Nicole had all but forgotten there were other people in the room. “Yeah, we’re moving.”
Jecka’s car pulled up to the sidewalk in front of Nicole’s house. Nicole went to open the door, but just before she did, Jecka stopped her.
“What now?” Nicole sighed.
“Look, uh, I just wanna apologise for messing with you so much today.” Jecka replied.
“That’s unlike you.”
“Yeah, I know, I just thought, maybe I took it too far. I was just enjoying it too much.”
“It’s whatever.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah. I just hope you spilling the beans to Emily won’t lead to anything.”
“Like I said, I’m sure it’ll be fine.”
“God, I hope so. If the first thing i hear tomorrow when i walk in to school is fucking Crispin going ‘hey, uhh, i heard you were like, a lesbian or whatever?’ I’m going to fucking kill him. Then myself.”
“Don’t be so dramatic. Anyways, I’ll see ya tomorrow?” Jecka tilted her face toward Nicole so her cheek was towards her.
“God, you are so like Ari.” Nicole moaned, before leaning in to kiss her on the cheek.
“Can you not compare me to your exes, thanks?”
Nicole just waved over her shoulder as she stepped out of the car and walked up to her house.
Nicole arrived at school just before the bell, as usual, on Wednesday morning, walking through the front door and toward her locker. As she was getting ready to trudge through another day of school, the one annoying stoner she didn’t want to see walked over.
“So, uhh, Nicole, I heard you’re, like, a lesbian, or something? That’s cool, yeah.”
‘It’s so fucking over.’
