Chapter one

'Wake.....se....p....'
'WAKE UP'

A startled yowl seeped out of him as he was violently jerked awake before it was replaced with a pained hiss as he felt his head painfully throb from the sudden movement. Letting out a weak whine, Catnap slowly raised his arms to press his paws against his forehead in an attempt to get rid of the headache.....which doesn't seem to help.
After a few minutes, the headache soon died down enough to where he could ignore it and slowly rolled onto his side, now feeling his whole body heavy as well as panting a bit. After taking a few deep breathes, Catnap slowly opened his eyes to find himself faced with an unfamiliar wall making him blink a bit. Ear twitching a bit in confusion, Catnap pressed his paws against the ground and slowly pushed himself up into sitting position as he kept staring at the wall.
The wall before him have multiple colors despite them being dull, completely different from the walls in Dogday's room, followed by the sound of a....train? which caused him to look around before glancing up, finally seeing the train going in a circle, which was a bit strange to see before catching another sound. Listening closely, he could pick up the sound of faint footsteps beyond the room along with a cheery voice which sounded forced. Soon he heard the faint footsteps getting louder and closer which caused the purple feline to panic before quickly got to his feet and looked around in hopes of finding a hiding place but it was too late.
Hearing the door open, Catnap quickly turned around only to cover his eyes to block out the sudden brightness while blindly back away until he was backed into a corner which caused him to let out a warning hiss as the footsteps got closer. He soon braced himself as the footsteps soon stopped in front of him, his claws seeping out on instinct.
.......nothing bad happened except for the sound of rustling fabric and soon silence with a hint of soft breathing which made him curious enough to peak through his arms to see the strange creature sitting in front of him, just a foot away with their back turned to him, which was surprising. Getting more curious now that the creature isn't a threat, Catnap silently uncurled from his position before getting on all four in case he need to run away and slowly inches himself close.
"Mmrph?" he softly trills out as he got close enough to sniff the creature's back and caught a faint scent of....rain, which was really relaxing. Also from the scent, Catnap found out that the creature was male and using the light, the creature have bright sunrise yellow hair, which reminds him of his friend, making him more comfortable in exploring more. Soon moving to stand on his feet, the feline took note that he reach up to the creature's shoulder when they're sitting down before reaching out to their back and was amazed of how smooth the fabric was, causing him to press his other paw against the fabric, enjoying out it felt against the palm of his paws. Suddenly, Catnap flinched in surprise when he heard the creature let out a small laugh but it soon calmed him down, seeing it much safer to explore more.
Tail swaying behind him, Catnap silently walked around the creature until he was facing them.
The purple feline couldn't help but focus on the freckles, the thin wired glasses and the light stubble along his cheeks and jawline and before he could stop himself, Catnap stepped close enough to reach out and run his paws along the stubble which caused a purr to seep out, enjoying the way it felt against his palms. He suddenly snapped out of it as he heard the creature laugh again making him instantly pull his paws away as he felt his cheeks heating up while his tail slightly curled around his legs.
"A curious cat huh" the creature simply stated before holding out his hands which the feline stared at them in awe, never seen hands like his before, "What's your name?" he gently asked the feline with a smile.
Feeling his throat close up a bit at the thought of talking right now (his throat was still sore from yelling earlier), Catnap shakily raised one paw and started signing out his name and hopes that the creature will understand him.
Luckily, the creature understood him.
"Catnap? Nice to meet you" the creature said with a smile, "My name is Samuel" he greeted back while still holding out his hand which the feline stared at his hand for a few seconds before taking his hand and giving him a slight shake.
Once Samuel got to his feet, the feline soon saw that he reached up to Samuel's waist and soon reached up to grab the edge of the smooth fabric which catch Samuel's attention.
"You like the jacket?" he asked the feline, whom shyly nodded and before Catnap could blink, Samuel removed his jacket and placed it around the feline's shoulders, making him jump in surprise as the blonde man soon zipped up the jacket.
"You can have it for a while" Samuel gently said with a smile as Catnap looked over himself, liking how the jacket wasn't too tight around him and was loose enough to feel comfortable and the jacket reached down a few inches above his ankles and the sleeves were long enough to cover his paws.
Letting out a happy purr, Catnap soon reached out to grab Samuel's hand, making him smile, "Honestly, I'm not sure how or why you are here but lets just stick together alright?" he suggested which the feline agreed by nodding and soon started following Samuel out of the room.
Once out, Catnap started looking around, seeing how everything was in ruined kinda like the room he woke up in along with a broken down desk in the middle of the room along with two open entrances on each side of the desk and on the other side of the room, there was a double door, which the feline assumed that where Samuel came in from. Soon he turned his attention to the last open entrance in the room, seeing the word 'Security' above it making him curious. Once they walked up to the closed door, Catnap soon caught sight of his reflection on the glass door in front of them.
Despite his fur looking a bit ruffled and some of his fur were sticking up, making him want to groom himself in at attempt to fix it. Along with the jacket, he looked smaller than normal due to how big the jacket was and despite his messy appearances, the white crescent moon on his forehead was letting out a soft glow.
(It's you....)
His right ear twitched a bit as he heard a small sound and a second later, the glass door soon opened causing him to look up at Samuel for a moment before following him into the room.
