“Sakuraaa!!!!! It’s time to fulfill your promise!”
Umemiya’s voice blared through the speakers without warning, making everyone jump.
There was a pause, and then the sound of a slap.
“Your voice is too loud, idiot!! And stop using the speakers for personal reasons!”
“No! I’ve waited long enough!”
Sakura couldn’t help but stare, stunned, before his face flushed in anger.
“What promise?! I didn’t promise you anything!” He screams at the speaker.
“Sakura-san! Please calm down!”
“Also, Sakura-kun, he can’t hear you from here.”
“I don’t care! Where is he getting these stupid ideas from?!”
Sakura could see Sugishita gearing up to attack him from the corner of his eye, and tenses up, prepared to fight back. However, before the situation could escalate, the speaker suddenly blared to life again, putting a halt to their almost-fight.
“Oh right! It wasn’t Sakura’s promise, was it? Suo! Nirei! Fulfill your promise! Bring Sakura to me!”
Sakura turns to his vice captains, mouth open, looking absolutely betrayed. But before he could say a word, he gets interrupted, again.
“What are you doing bullying your juniors?! Also, what promise did you con them into making! It’s not anything good, is it?”
“What? I’m hurt that you don’t trust me Hiragi. I would never do anything to hurt my little brothers!”
“Why do I not trust the look on your face?”
“Ehh?”
“Don’t give me that betrayed look!”
“Anywho! I’m not backing down on this one! Suo! Nirei! I’m calling in on that promise! See you soon!”
And then silence.
“What promise did you guys make with him?!” Finally catching a break, Sakura explodes at his vice captains.
Nirei absolutely won’t look him in the eye and Suo’s smile is looking a little shaky.
“Calm down Sakura-kun. It’s nothing to be mad about. Just a little inconvenience.”
Suo quickly glances behind him and catches Tsugeura’s eye, tilting his head in a sign for him to come over.
“What do you mean inconvenience? Tell it to me straight! What did you—”
Sakura’s cut off by Tsugeura lifting him into a fireman’s carry.
“Wha—”
“Let’s go Tsugeura-kun. We can’t keep Umemiya-san waiting.”
Suo gets a nod back, and then they're off, running full speed toward the roof.
He had planned on telling Sakura about the promise soon, but Umemiya-san had ruined his plans. He can deal with the fallout.
So they open the door to the roof, and push Sakura through, before quickly shutting it.
They can hear Sakura screaming at them to open the door and explain before his screaming is cut off by a yelp.
It looks like Umemiya-san caught him.
“Sakura! You’re finally here. Now we can get started!”
“Started on what? Where are you dragging me! Hold on, where are you tou— Why is my doll there?!”
“Calm down, Sakura. Stop worrying about the unimportant stuff. It's time to have some fun!”
Sorry, Sakura-kun. You’re on your own.
With a small prayer to their grade-captain, for the horrors photoshoot he’s about to experience at Umemiya’s hands, they make the trek back down to their classroom.
Unbeknownst to them, Sakura had actually had a lot of fun. Though he’d never admit it.
The two-shot of Umemiya-nui and Sakura-nui in a basket of stuffed tomato plushies and straw hats becomes his new lock screen photo after that.
Sugishita wouldn't stop glaring at Sakura for days after he saw it.
