Chapter Text
Lance
Pant
“Where am I?” My eyes dart around the dark space as hands grip my shoulders, sending pain throughout my body.
“Hello. Lance.” A voice hissed into my ear. Suddenly, a film type screen appears out of nowhere in front of me.
My eyes gawk.
Blood..
Blood..
Louise?
Marco?!
Abuela?
What is going on! Why is my family dying right before me.
My jaw falls in an attempt to scream, but instead of my agony and grief ladybugs fly out of my mouth in swaths. Scraping the roof of my mouth with their wings. The hand from before holds my jaw in place so that I don’t bite my tongue.
And now I am falling-?!
This time I can scream. I scream and scream until my throat is bloody.
“Lance!” Hands shake me violently awake, wet drops of water falling on my already wet face. Keith..
I reached out and hugged him tightly as I sobbed, sniffling as if. “What on earth was that?” He spits, clearly upset.
When I open my mouth to speak nothing comes out.
Must have screamed it raw..
Despite the prior events, all I can think of is the fact that Keith is still here. He didn’t leave me..
—----------------------------------
It has now been another day since… That happened. Slowly as the last few days of this love blindness wore off, I can’t help but feel scared. “What If’s” filling my head. What if we still hate each other? What if I don’t love him the same? What if he avoids me? What if after what if
Eventually, I am being put inside the all familiar healing pod.
“This might be painful as the last lingering effects of the love bug wear off, but not to worry number three! Placing you in this healing post will relieve some of your pain!” Coran explained.
“Wait Wait Wait, what do you mean ‘Pain’?!” I exclaimed as I placed my hands onto the glass. But as I did, my legs gave out and the only thing holding me up was the cramped space. Pain shoots through my spine causing an agonizing pain in my head and heart. A sharp scream pierces my ears, surprising that I could make such a sound. Before I could stop screaming, I felt instant relief by the smoke in the pod. Such relief ended in me passing out.

KEITH
The scream that escaped Lance scraped the insides of our eardrums as his pain was very visible. But when he eventually stopped and looked to have passed out lifted the tense air in the room. Coran told us all beforehand that it might take him days or even weeks to wake up. Which scared me. But what is a gay, half gallon paladin gonna do about it?
—-----------------------------------
It has been about 3 weeks since Lance has entered the pod.
Suddenly, We heard a ding. The door to the pod opened as Lance fell out and into my arms. His soft, pain ridden eyes fluttered open and stared at me. But not like before..
“Keith?...” He questioned, looking around confused.
“How are you feeling since everything?” I asked. But his eyes just darkened in confusion.
“What do you mean, mullet?! What happened?” I gasped.
“You don’t remember?...” My heart dropped. Maybe this is a good thing?...
“Not a crumb. Now would you mind letting me go? This is getting awkward.”
