Toaster Strudel

Toaster Strudel is the brand name of a toaster pastry prepared by heating the frozen pastries in a toaster and then spreading the included icing packet on top. The brand is historically notable for being stored frozen, due to innovations in 1980s food manufacturing processes.

i mean, i would love it if it happened, but all things considered, i don't think it will. little mix won one, so it's not impossible for that to happen, but nsr is barely doing any promo (as always) and the few songs that went viral on tiktok aren't exactly grammy material, plus, only debut counts for this round bc pink wednesday released after the grammy deadline

Refreshingly Authentic
A Closer Look at Cady Heron's October Third EP
The music industry is hard, fast, and will eat people alive. Aspiring hopeful artists come and go, with some never making it to the point of releasing any music at all. It's rare that I get to review a new artist's music and find that I'm listening to something real, something authentic, not some corporate pop slop that's meticulously engineered to go viral on TikTok.
But that's exactly how I felt listening to Cady Heron's debut EP, October Third. From a single listen, you can tell the singer-songwriter poured her heart and soul into each and every song, even if it means some of the themes are a tad unrelatable to the average listener. The lyrics of Macheo, song about the sunrise on the Kenyan savanna (where Heron grew up), might not resonate with most listeners, but the themes of nature's beauty and being at one with the outdoors can spark joy in the hearts of most people.
Despite the clear effort put into the songs, there's a bit of a tonal disconnect between each of them. Heron seems to be unable to determine what her music should sound like. The more traditional pop sound of What Ifs clashes heavily with the ballad style of Macheo or the almost abstract style of Calculust, a song befitting of its absurd title.
Nothing on the EP is quite as confusing as the titular song, October Third. At first listen, one would assume from the lyrics that it's a love song, but upon consideration and analysis, there's layers. Secret meanings seemingly hidden in double entendres, things that feel much more like a private conversation between Heron and a (seemingly ex) lover, not a piece of music for the world to hear.
In short, the October Third EP is refreshing, yes, but good? Eh. That's much less clear. With a little refinement and more cohesion, Cady Heron really has a chance to make a name for herself in the industry. Whether or not she makes it, or simply becomes another forgotten name among the thousands, only time will tell.

Last time they announced it two weeks after the album release, so it's kind of weird they haven't say anything yet. I think they might not tour / skip this time.

The time always comes when a pop group breaks. Sometimes, the funeral is long and paused, we know it's coming before the One —that one artist who outshines their peers— announces they'll be taking a different route, a solitary one, to release their own music. Other times, no one could've seen it coming.
On Sunday, we saw The Plastics walk the Grammy's red carpet; today, they announced their break up on social media.
It might be unjust to ask them to stay if their heart says otherwise, but how could we have known if they seemed so close only days ago? One's left to wonder if the fact that they lost the only category they were nominated for, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, has something to do with the news.
In fact, there's been a great deal of speculation online since the news broke. There's no surprise that fans of groups have individual favorites, but the Twitter wars have broken out in full force. Depending on who you ask online, they have plenty of theories about why The Plastics broke up; but it will never be their fav.
One popular piece of gossip that keeps coming up among fans is a post on HushCeleb.com, an anonymous celebrity rumor website that posts alleged rumors from others in the industry. Such websites have gained a sketchy reputation over the years, and are often treated far more as speculation than as fact, due to the anonymous nature and outlandish claims in some of the posts. This particular post, however, foreshadowed the breakup:

R.G. and G.W. at each other's throats at a Grammy's after-party. K.S. walked away without saying a word to either of them.
The post doesn't exactly give a lot to go on, and is very vague, not even using names. It's easy to see why it was initially overlooked by fans, especially given the questionable credibility of HushCeleb.com and similar sites like it. However, since the news broke, fans have flocked to the post, and have attempted to extract the intricacies of what occurred that night just from those two sentences alone. Some have even gone digging for more details on what happened at that party, but it's unlikely to come to light. Anyone in the industry knows the after-party The Plastics attended are notorious for their tight-lipped NDA policies, which is probably why the initial post was so vague in the first place.
Whatever happened that night, whether or not the post actually describes it, one thing is for sure: The Plastics are no more. There's no telling what'll come next for the members, or if we'll hear from them again at all. Fans wait with baited breath for more news, as they hope and pray for the return of their beloved pop girl group.
