Chapter Text
“Good morning Meiko.” Kaito said, looking towards her.
“Morning.” Meiko responded.
“Ehh… Do you wanna like… Take a walk or something? Kaito asked.
“Uhh.. That's kinda random, don't you think?” Meiko responded again.
“Huh- Oh, It's kinda normal for Hana. Mostly because the flowers are super pretty and such.” Kaito said back.
“Alright…but I’ll go.” Meiko responded.
They started walking passing by marigolds, roses, different types of weeds, and other flowers that bloomed in time. But as they progressed along the path, it got darker, Tsubaki Camellias, Red spider Lily's, and Purple carnations were around the place. And the more they walked from there, the more Purole carnations were along the path.
"Err... Usually this path doesn't look this.... Sad." Kaito said.
“...Wait-” Meiko tried to speak but was cut off by something grabbing her.
“Meiko! Huh-” Kaito was also grabbed.
They were set out on some type of patch of grass, it was a small field but had purple carnations all around it in a circle.
“Fufu…Tsk, tsk, tsk.”Someone else was here.
“W-who are you! This isn't funny!” Kaito yelled.
“...I'm Gakupo. Or, also known as the last person you're going to meet.” Gakupo said.
“ ‘The hell does that mean?” Meiko responded
“It means that I’m gonna… get rid of you cursed beings. You two don’t deserve to be on the same planet where purity resides.” Gakupo slithered
“..Like… are you calling us ugly or what?” Kaito responded
“No, Your curses… I was born to banish people like you, and I will do as destined.” Gakupo said
“Top ten delusiona- GAH!” Kaito tried to say, but got cut off by a slash of Gakupo’s sword, luckily Kaito dodged it.
“...How do you know about us? I’ve never seen you.” Meiko asked.
“You two are very popular… it’d be nonsense if anyone visited either Hana or Noroi and didn’t hear of at least one of the two.” Gakupo said, missing another slash at Kaito.
“Why does…. Alright, but, Kaito wasn’t lying about you being delusional! M-Maybe we can get on different terms?” Meiko stuttered.
“.-H-Ha-HAHAHA! Me? On ‘terms’ with cursed beings such as yourselves? YOU'RE the delusional one!” Gakupo went on.
He then slashed at Meiko, she almost got hit but hung in.
“Haha-! You two are quick, but I've barely moved yet… Get ready.”
And like that, Gakupo made moves, slashing at the opposing, though, in ways that proved that he was gonna do something bigger, they just didn’t know what and when, and all they could do was dodge his attacks, never having time to make hits back.
“Meiko! Uhhh… Don't you like…have something to fight with?” Kaito asked.
“What? No! Why would I, Kaito?!” Meiko responded, yelling.
“I don't know! I just don't have one…” Kaito said back.
“Stop your chit-chat!” Gakupo said, slashing at Meiko again, missing as always.
“We know what you're about to do!” Meiko yelled.
“Oh, do you?” Gakupo asked sarcastically.
And truthfully, Meiko didn't.
They kept fighting. Slashing and dodging were the only things that were happening. Though, someone finally made a move.
“GKT-” Kaito got stabbed by Gakupo in the chest. He fell to the ground afterwards.
“Fufu… one gone, one more to go-” Gakupo also fell to the ground, along with a loud ‘BANG’ type sound.
Meiko turned to see what happened, and Kaito laid on the ground, with a smoking gun in his hands. The recoil had injured him even more, but hey, Gakupo was down.
Meiko went over to Gakupo, reaching her hand above the injured body.
“Fufu… any last words?” Meiko asked.
“... You two… will- NEVER-.. Be normal… no one will like you-!” Gakupo yelled.
Meiko then tapped him, and he vibrated in pain, flowers bloomed on him, as well as blood as he was still shaking from the pain, making small, low, whimpering noises before being put out of his misery.
“... D-amn.. -agghhh… ow.” Kaito said afterwards, still in pain.
“KAITO! Oh my… are you- never mind let's just go and try to find someone to heal you.” Meiko responded.
“Ah.. Ow… so about the err.. Gun… don’t ask about it.” Kaito said.
“Ah.. Alright… c'mon” Meiko responded, supporting Kaito the best she could.
Then they continued their journey.
