And with that, we reach the end of this story. I must admit that, toward the end, it was a bit of a challenge to strike the right balance between a shaken Jircniv and the intelligent Jircniv he truly is. After all, in the light novel, he is a very composed and unshakable figure—certainly not the sort of emperor who would panic so exaggeratedly upon the offer to turn Baharuth into a vassal state.
As the title suggests, I wanted to describe that turning point where Jircniv began to truly see Ainz as a friend, even though the shock of nearly dying had left his mind somewhat... dazed. Even a little unhinged, at least in that moment. He’ll be fine. Eventually.
From this point on, it’s not a story, but rather a few interesting tidbits that crossed my mind and that I really wanted to share with you. To start...
By the Ring.
The first ring Ainz gave Jircniv provided magical protection, acting much like a shield. That ring remains in use, but Ainz wanted something more comprehensive, so he came up with this one. Although the stones appear red in the image, their usual color is blue; however, they can also take on black, green, or orange hues.
These stones are kyanites, and based on their colors, they offer the following properties:
Blue Kyanite: "Cuts" negative cords, energetic attacks, envy, and nightmares. It helps improve communication, self-expression, and truthfulness, while also stimulating intuition when placed on the third eye. It would serve to provide spiritual strength to Jircniv.
Black Kyanite (Witch's Broom): Excellent for energetic cleansing and grounding. Primary use: It is used to sweep away dense energies, miasmas, and blockages from the auric field. It helps organize the mind and reconnect us with earthly reality after intense spiritual work. It would serve precisely to clear Jircniv's mind during moments of great pressure.
Green Kyanite: Symbolizes emotional healing, the truth of the heart, and a connection to nature. It helps dissolve resentment, promotes loyalty, balances feelings, and stimulates personal growth and harmony in relationships. It would assist Jircniv emotionally, helping him stay balanced and find the emotional strength to deal with difficulties.
And finally, Orange Kyanite: Associated with creativity, the joy of living, and healthy sexuality. It helps unblock creative energy, brings vitality, stimulates motivation, and aids in overcoming traumas related to self-esteem or self-expression. It would help Jircniv find the joy of living and overcome traumas, exactly as the description suggests.
The ring changes color according to Jircniv's needs, helping him maintain emotional and spiritual strength. It also grants him greater-than-normal longevity. Ainz is simply concerned about his friend; while he knows he cannot save him from everything, he wants to ensure he enjoys a comfortable life—hence the choice of these stones.
I was going to pick just the blue one, but I liked the descriptions of the others, so I cheated a little.
Now, regarding the church.
For the church of the God of Life, I envisioned a building like the one in the image below. It is an AI-generated image, but I found it on Pinterest. To me, the colors suit this type of God well.
I gave a lot of thought to whether I should take an existing structure and come up with another reason for Jircniv to be buried under debris, but in the end, I didn't see a problem with it. Speaking of a future I won't be writing, the church would change significantly—to the point of becoming unrecognizable by the end.
And it is primarily about that church that I want to talk in this chapter. So, let's get started.
The Church of Black Justice in the Baharuth Empire:
I apologize for the size. For some reason, I couldn't post it the same way as the previous one, but just open it in another tab and you'll see it larger.
But alright, let's get started by talking about the Church. Jircniv's vision was to make it the greatest church of all—and he succeeded. What began as a single church grew into a massive complex by the end of his reign; the Empire acquired 158 hectares of surrounding land, erecting new structures and expanding the site until it reached the form shown in the image above.
I designed it with the Vatican in mind, but decided to go all out and make it more than three times the size. So, let's move on to the church's facilities and their descriptions:
1- Just as the Vatican has its square, I gave a square to the church of Ainz that is part of the symbol of its emblem. At first, the entire area was going to be in the shape of the Ainz guild symbol, but I changed my mind and left only the square in that shape. It turned out nice, I think.
At the end of the green area of the path, there is a huge portal that I forgot to draw in the image, but it's there and serves to transport important figures, such as representatives from other countries. When the transport portal shines, indicating that someone is about to arrive, people must stop or move away so as not to be run over by carriages. Luckily, no incident has happened to date.
2- It is the main church. The area at the far end is a large courtyard for celebrations, such as gatherings and consecrations. I had included a green area, though I was considering something different—but it doesn't matter. Its shape is like that of Notre Dame, but larger, scaled to the size of the plot it occupies.
3- The Treasury, where the Church keeps certain treasures of great importance to them.
4- The Pope's residence. In the future—much like at the Vatican—the Pope would take up residence here, as this would be considered the principal church of the Black Justice. This might happen at the end of Nea Bajara's life or a couple of papacies later.
5- Papal Guard Quarters. Just like the real-world Pope, the Pope here has a royal guard; they are stationed in these quarters, where they undergo training and indoctrination.
6- Guest House. The Church occasionally receives important visitors who can stay in this house; it features a beautiful garden and a transport portal—located in the smaller circle—that brings guests directly there.
7- A small Church of Surshana. I imagine that, in the future, the Church of Surshana would break away from the Faith of the Six Gods, given their similarities. For political reasons, Ainz would agree to this "union," but Surshana would still play a minor role—perhaps as a sort of apostle who heralded Ainz's arrival, or something similar. A lesser god, in the grand scheme of things.
8- Statue of Surshana.
9- I’ve completely forgotten what this building was supposed to be. (Laughs.) But I imagine that, in the future, it would emerge as an administrative building, or perhaps serve as a base for printing religious newspapers, propaganda posters, and the like.
10- The Art Museum. Ainz loves art, and there is an art school in this universe. In the future, famous artists would create incredibly valuable works of art. Furthermore, the Empire sent some important pieces there, as did Ainz—contributing one or two himself. It would take about three hundred years to fill the entire museum, so it didn't appear all at once. It is entirely based on the Louvre.
11- Tribunal. I’m certain that Ainz’s Church would be viewed as a place to seek justice. There would be a dedicated division of priests trained in law to judge criminals who transgress not only against the tenets of the Black Justice faith but also in more delicate matters that the Empire would surely refer to them.
12- Ecclesiastical School. A school for the priests who will staff all the buildings. To serve the Church as priests—or even as judges—they must graduate from here. Believe me, it is a massive structure.
13- The School Sports Court. Because, even though they are priests, they value physical fitness and a healthy upbringing.
14- The Library. It is enormous. A large school requires a large library, after all, given the curriculum covering both religious teachings and the law.
15- The Observatory. The Church of Black Justice also dedicates itself to the study of astronomy; in the future, many discoveries would originate here.
16- Mausoleum and Gardens. This is a massive mausoleum that Ainz commissioned in honor of his friend at the end of the latter's life. Although Jircniv would not remain dead forever, Ainz still wished to honor him in some way; the result is a beautiful mausoleum and a famous tourist attraction, as are the surrounding gardens.
The gardens are vast and divided into sections, featuring impeccable landscaping and flowers found nowhere else—courtesy of Ainz.
And that’s about it. I could certainly expand on this further and go into more detail, but honestly, it doesn't matter all that much. I just wanted to share a bit of the lore from my universe and what I imagine might happen in the future. With Ainz as a god now, I picture something similar to what happens in *Elden Ring*: gods living alongside their subjects on the same earthly plane. I’m waiting for the novels to conclude to see how things actually play out, but that’s what poetic license is for, right?

Life and other things are keeping me busy, but I’m happy to see more stories about this couple popping up lately; I like to think I had at least a small hand in that, but it doesn't really matter. Keep writing. They deserve more stories. Jircniv is simply wonderful, and with Ainz... well, it’s sublime.
