Chapter Text
Izuku woke up and found himself alone, surrounded by green walls. He looked around the room, searching for any sign of life. He couldn’t see anyone, or remember where he was. He slowly and warily got out of the bed, cautious of his surroundings.
He walked towards the door and left the room, finding himself in a lab of sorts. Confused, he looks for something that could give him any information at all. As he looked around he came across a journal titled “The Nomu Project”. Curious, he opened up the journal, his face twisting in horror at what was written.
Toward the back of the journal, Izuku found some notes on the possibility of using the quirkless. “The lack of a starting quirk may allow for sentience in the Nomu.”
Izuku jumped away from the journal, hitting a table and sending papers flying everywhere. Underneath the papers, a green folder was sitting on the table.
Izuku tentatively reached out and opened the folder, only to find a photo of himself alongside some notes detailing experimentation results. His stomach churned as he read the notes.
He had been experimented on.
Putting the folder down on the table, he turned around, looking for any way out of the lab. There was a door, but when he tried to open it, it was locked. He looked around, trying to find any sort of key, but there was none.
He went back to the notes searching for a clue. After reading the notes a few times, he couldn't find anything, but then something caught his eye at the corner of the paper.
Quirks, oh he could definitely work with those.
“Manifest,” the first line read.
What does that do? Does it make things appear?
Izuku tried to use the quirk, thinking of an apple, and it appeared in front of his eyes as a wave of exhaustion hit him. Huh, where did the apple come from? Did- did I make that? Or was it teleported from somewhere?
He looked back at the notes and found a description of the quirk. “Teleports the nearest object that matches what the user wants to summon.”
Wow what a useful quirk! Imagine how useful it could be for hero work! I could move the villains right into jail with only a thought! And I can teleport the villains’ weapons away from them! There’s so many uses for it- Oh I can teleport the key.
He used Manifest, thinking of the key that would unlock the door in front of him. Another wave of exhaustion hit him as a small rusted key appeared. He carefully put the key into the lock and tried turning it when he heard a faint snap.
Shoot that’s not good. The key had broken, and part of it was stuck in the lock.
Izuku looked back at the notes hoping for something else that could help him.
Wait, can I ‘manifest’ myself into the room? He tried it but nothing happened. Huh, guess I can't.
Looking back at the notes he saw another quirk called “Life Detection”. “Can detect surrounding life in a 15 meter radius.”
Izuku activated the quirk searching for someone to help him, but all that showed up were various bugs and rats. He wandered near the walls of the lab, moving the radius in hopes of finding any humans near the area.
To his dismay, he couldn’t find another human nearby. He looked back at the folder for any other information, finding a quirk named “Environment Maker.” “Allows the user to alter an environment as they wish.” Hm, does it actually change the environment itself, or does it just make an illusion of sorts?
Izuku activated the quirk and imagined the room getting colder. He shivered as the temperature suddenly dropped. Huh so it affects the actual environment? Unless…
Izuku tried imagining a wind, but when he glanced around the lab, the papers didn’t flutter. So I guess it’s just an illusion that messes with a person’s senses.
How am I supposed to escape this place...
Wait wasn’t I supposed to be in Piranha’s apartment? How did I end up here?! Where is Piranha?! Did- did he take me here? But.. why would he do that? Why isn’t he here…
All of a sudden, the greenette yelps in surprise. Piranha had suddenly appeared in front of him as he was thinking.
“What the- Piranha?!”
“Izuku- Where are we?”
“Uhm, I… don't know?”
“Oh god, okay first let’s get out of here. Wait- how long have you been here?”
“Umm… a while?”
“Okay okay, so did you find anything before I just uh, appeared?”
“Well I had a key but uhh... I kinda… broke it?”
“You- you broke it.”
“Hey! It’s not my fault it broke when I tried to turn it.”
“Okay fine, did you find anything else? Any other important information that I should probably know?”
“Imayormaynothave3quirksnow”
“You have- you know what, I'm just not gonna ask. Anyway, let’s focus on getting out. What do your quirks do?”
“Well, Manifest can teleport stuff to me but I can't teleport myself, Life Detection detects life around me in a 15 meter radius, and Environment Maker can create illusions that mess with people's senses. I don’t think Life Detection or Environment Maker are gonna do much in this situation considering I’ve already looked for people nearby who could help but there wasn’t anyone so-“
“Focus, Izuku, we need to get out of here, you can ramble about your new quirks after we escape.”
“Ah right, sorry.”
Piranha started looking around the room, and a green folder caught his eye. The vigilante went over and opened the file, his eyes widening in horror as he read.
“Izuku, you’ve.. been experimented on?”
“Uhh… yes? PleasedontbemadI’msorryi-“
“izuku, why would I be mad? It’s not your fault you got kidnapped and experimented on, so why would I be mad?”
“Uhhhh..”
“Alright kid, let's get out of here. We can deal with this after we get out of here.”
Piranha looked around for a way out and spotted a window.
“Hey why don’t we smash the window and climb out?”
“Okay uhhh,” a rock shows up in Izuku's hand “Here's a rock.”
“Oh thanks,” Tereri grabbed the rock and flung it at the window. “YEEEEEET!”
The glass from the window shattered, hitting the ground outside.
“Piranha why did you yell yeet?”
“Because why not?”
“Fair.”
“Okay umm I’d go first but I don’t think you could reach the window so I’m gonna boost you up first okay?”
Izuku nodded, climbing onto Piranha, who was kneeling down. He got onto the windowsill and waited for the vigilante to come up.
As Piranha let go of Izuku's legs, the green-haired boy suddenly slipped backwards with a yelp.
“NO!” The vigilante’s eyes widened in horror as he tried to climb up to grab the kid’s hand.
Piranha reached out to grab Izuku but he missed. “IZUKU NO!” The vigilante could do nothing as he watched the green haired kid fall to his death.
As the young boy hit the ground, there was no resounding noise, but rather a boing as the boy jumped back up.
“W h a t ?”
Piranha looks back up in confusion.
“April Fools?” The boy says with a shy grin on his face as he jumps into the air.
“Wait but how-“
“The floor is a trampoline!”
“But how the hell did you set this all up!?”
“Who says I was the one who set it up?”
“Then who- holy shit it was those two girls who like to play god wasn’t it?”
Bzzz Bzzz. The vigilante pulled his phone out of his pocket and saw a text.
You have been added to: 2 gods and a fish
“The hell is this!?”
Alui: This, young fish, is your creator.
Aix: creator-s plural. Also known as the gods of the world ur living in.
“The fuck?”
Aix: language! There’s kids around.
Alui: yeah, who knows how many kids are gonna be reading this?
“STOP BREAKING THE 4TH WALL!”
Alui: no.
“Um Piranha who are you talking to?” The cute green haired boy looks at the vigilante in confusion, who had been yelling at his phone furiously.
“Two annoying girls trying to play god, namely the ones who helped you set up this prank.”
Alui: who says we’re only trying to play god? For all you know, we are god.
“God doesn’t set up stupid pranks with a 10 year old kid.”
Alui: Touché.
Alui: hey u want to see something cool?
“Huh?”
Alui: watch this video
“What- this is from a 200 year old video game.”
Alui: no ur just 200 years in the future tereri
Aix: Don’t be a spoil sport Tereri, we didn’t even kill anyone!
Alui: yet
“Don’t scare the readers, you sadistic authors. You fall off the face of the earth for two months and you come back for this?!”
Aix: wow you really gotta go there?
Alui: Ouch.
Alui: Now look who’s breaking the 4th wall.
“I hate the both of you.”
Alui: Love you too!
Aix: Hey! You sure you wanna say you hate the people with the power to instantly kill you?
“Yes I do. Maybe I want to die.”
Aix: Me too, me too
Alui: no u don’t
Alui: both of u nO
As this exchange went on, a small boy watched, confusion clear on his face. “Um Piranha please don’t die-“
Alui: now look, you’re scaring ur baby chaos brother
Aix: *gasp* how could you! I say like I wasn’t just agreeing that dying wouldn’t be so bad.
Alui: both of u stop being bad influences for the dear readers plz
“Don’t worry Izuku, I won’t be dying anytime soon.”
Aix: oki
Alui: or will you
“Don’t the two of you have better things to be doing? Like writing the next chapter.”
Alui: Touché.
Aix: That’s my cue to go- bye!
