“Wake up, dummy,” came the familiar call to rise with a nudge of his body. George struggled to open his eyes, squinting against the light quickly entering his vision. He grumbled underneath his breath, “Fuck off.” Though it came out less like words and more like a collection of unintelligible sounds that still managed to get the general feeling across.
The man above him laughed and reached out a hand to guide George to his feet. As he stood to his full height, he found he still had to look up at the man, who he once looked down on ten years ago. “I’m up, you idiot.”
Five times Dream tries to wake up George, and one time George tries to wake up Dream.
