"That's not how it works," Orga answered for him, a little too quickly. Fast enough that several eyes turned to him with raised eyebrows. He coughed and ducked his head a bit, trying to hide behind his bangs. "Nobody's married to anybody. Right, Mika?"
"Right," Mikazuki agreed, "Otherwise I'd be married to you, too."

Summary
Cooper’s been shot, and Albert still doesn’t know where they stand with each other. Which is symptomatic of who they are. You could fill a book with everything left unsaid between them; not that Albert’s planning on writing it, but he’s got a fair idea of how he wants it to end. Maybe not with sunshine and roses - some people aren't meant for happy endings, and he’s pretty sure that includes him - but with honesty and hearts laid bare. Tonight isn’t quite that, but it’s a start.
