Penelope had known that certain things she would never be able to consume. Not if she wished to live, so she prepared herself, hid the tinctures her mother taught her to make as a precaution from the attacks of the vindictive and vile servants that surrounded her.
Callisto knew that an allergic reaction was practically a death sentence for those with a severe enough allergy, he had seen many of his own men fall to things that were perfectly edible to everyone else but was a vile poison to another. There was no known cure for it, no treatment. So what was he supposed to do in this situation?
