I tend to be much more of a lurker than any kind of poster. Too little belief in my own abilities and also a great deal of social anxiety, which unfortunately extends to the internet. But fandom is life for me basically. I have something like 20k bookmarks on my computer. If I'm at home, I'm on the AO3 even while watching TV.
A lot of the time I actually prefer fandom to canon because canons (especially ongoing canons) never seem to want to allow any of their people to be happy. And as someone who took a long time to find happiness, I find it hard when it's denied to the characters I adore.
