Uraraka couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment where everything had imploded, but when it did, it was earth-shattering. The altercation had started off like any other, and had just built and built until it was bursting against the glass, threatening to shatter it. Emotions were too high, anger was too prominent in the air – it was blinding, keeping the two from really seeing each other, from understanding what was happening at that very moment. There was scream from Bakugou that Uraraka had somehow known would be the final one he directed at her. It was a declaration of resignation – they were simply calling it quits. Neither had exclusively said the words, but it was understood, read between the lines and etched upon their faces – after three years, Bakugou and Uraraka were over. When Bakugou stormed away, Uraraka watched him go, her stomach already laden with an emotion that felt suspiciously like regret.

It had only been two days since Uraraka and Bakugou had broken up, and the news of it had made its way through the entirety of UA and been warped in twenty-five different ways. Uraraka had been approached by everyone, hearing every kind of condolence, congratulations, and solicitation for gossip that there was. On day one, her classmates surrounded her at all time, creating a bubble that walked with her wherever she went and constantly checking on her to make sure she wasn’t going to spontaneously erupt into tears. She appreciated the fuss, she really did, but it was unnecessary. Uraraka didn’t need to be coddled – she wasn’t fragile. She had only gotten stronger since her first year at UA. She had learned to control her emotions and had mastered the art of the straight face in a way that could rival even the likes of Shinso. She wouldn’t let feelings get in the way of her schoolwork, and her ultimate goal of becoming a hero.
Day one sucked, but Uraraka had the benefit of good and very distracting friends and a strong will-power.
Besides, on day two of her being detached from Bakugou, Uraraka had a revelation. It had come to her during homeroom, when she was doodling in her notebook and letting her mind wander to places that had nothing to do with the announcements Aizawa was sleepily reading off. She casually raised her head, and tilted it just a few centimeters to the side, and let her eyes fall onto a seat that she had spent so many mornings lingering by.
And there was Bakugou, doing the exact same thing.
They both turned quickly when they realized they had been caught, but Uraraka smirked to herself as she quickly picked back up her doodle, because that simple gesture had been enough to confirm what Uraraka had already thinking – Bakugou wanted her back. He regretted this break up. Uraraka had wanted to reach out to him since the very moment he left her dorm – she had wanted to touch his hand when they passed in the halls, wanted to lean up on her tip-toes and kiss him after hero practice, wanted to spend the nights wrapped tightly in his arms as they drifted off to sleep. It had been such a short time, and yet she missed Bakugou like she had been separated from him for years.
However, there was this thing about Uraraka and Bakugou, and it had caused more than a few arguments throughout the duration of their relationship. They were both just an eensy, teeny-tiny bit…stubborn. Uraraka didn’t like admitting she was wrong and Bakugou preferred to shout all of his problems away, and so the two of them could end up in rather explosive disagreements. It wasn’t as bad as it sounded – they had a healthy relationship before everything had gone south, truly, but everyone had their flaws. The point of it all was – if Uraraka wanted this break up to end (she did, and she knew Bakugou did too) then one of them would have to be the bigger person and break down and admit that.
Except, Uraraka didn’t feel like being the bigger person. She was always the bigger person, knowing that Bakugou was more bullheaded than her. In fact, Uraraka felt exceptionally little right then. Technically, Bakugou had been the one to initiate the break up, so Bakugou should be the one to nullify it. And maybe, just maybe, Uraraka wanted to watch him squirm, to produce a little payback for his pettiness. She was only human, after all.
So, her plan went into action, and she would begin right then. Aizawa had finished his pseudo-lecture and now seemed to be taking a micro-nap at his desk while 3A waited for the bell to ring, dismissing them to their next class. Uraraka took her opportunity, and leaned over to the desk next to her, making sure to get her face very close to her target.
“Hey, Kaminari,” she said in her sweetest sugar voice. “Did you do the English homework for Present Mic’s class?”
Kaminari stared at her, his mouth forming a small ‘o’ and his eyes appearing more dazed than usual. He shook his head slightly to regain his composure. “You’re…asking me about homework?”
"Yeah, you’re good at English, right? It’s your best subject.” She knew that was true – Kaminari wasn’t the brightest spark of electricity, but he could conjugate English verbs like an old pro.
“It is, yeah.” A blush crept into Kaminari’s cheeks. “Uh, I did it. Did you need help?”
“Mhm, I thought you’d be my best bet.” She grinned.
“Sure, but if I help you with this, you gotta tutor me in Hero Ethics.” He smiled back and Uraraka laughed.
“Deal!” She put a hand on his shoulder and then chanced a look at Bakugou – he was staring right at her, face red and teeth clenched.
Good.

Day three and the world was aligning perfectly with Uraraka’s plan. As third years, their training regimes were intensive and exhausting and in order for the students not to burn out, both class 3A and 3B were given one day per month to let loose during their regularly scheduled classes. It was a sort of field day, and each month they selected an activity they wanted to partake in. Like things often were with UA, it became a fun excuse for the students to absolutely beat the shit out of their schoolmates in the context “letting off steam”.
Last month, it had been a series of races, and Uraraka had been sure that Bakugou was actually going to kill Juzo for softening the ground and making him trip and face-plant. She had hidden her face in her arm so that he hadn’t seen her laughter.
Today, they had decided on a game of soccer, which had been largely the work of Tetsutetsu and Kirishima, who had become obsessed with all sports as of late. To no one’s surprise, Bakugou strong-armed himself into being the captain for 3A, and Awase was chosen by his classmates to represent 3B.
“Half-and-half,” Bakugou grunted at Todoroki, who jogged over to his side.
“Kaibara.”
“Kirishima.”
“Kamakiri.”
“Pikachu.”
"Hmm…Uraraka,” Awase pointed in her direction, and Uraraka startled a little. She was athletic, sure, but she didn’t think she would be picked so early on in the game, and especially not by the 3B team. Although, she had always been fond of Awase. She noticed Bakugou glaring daggers in Awase’s direction, and a small smile curved upwards onto Uraraka’s lips. She practically skipped to Awase and beamed at him. “Good choice,” she told him, and winked. Awase went red and stammered out a response before composing himself and giving her a bright smile.
“Hope so,” he teased back.
Kirishima had to smack Bakugou’s arm to get him to make his next selection.
The game started with Hagakure blowing on a whistle, and then everyone was off running. Uraraka didn’t know much about soccer, but she knew the basics – don’t let the other team get the ball. The rest, she would leave up to her competitiveness.
It was a close game, the whole time. Team Bakugou had the slight advantage, with Kirishima scoring two goals against Setsuna, who couldn’t detach her limbs fast enough to match the speed in which he lobbed the ball at her. When the score was 3-3, Uraraka came head-to-head with Mina. The pink girl seemed to find the whole thing hilarious and practically gave Uraraka the ball – much to Bakugou’s dismay, which he made clear by lobbing his most colorful insults he had in his vocabulary at Mina – and she took it and flew down the field with it. Uraraka had learned to control her gravity over the course of three years, and now she had it down to a science, able to manipulate it in certain parts of her body so that she remained light on her feet and able to run faster.
Uraraka returned gravity to her right foot and kicked across the field to the goal, knocking it clean in past Kaminari’s outstretched arms.
“AHHH!” Awase bellowed, sprinting to Uraraka from half a mile away. He crashed into her, almost throwing them both onto the ground. Uraraka squealed with laughter, letting Awase pick her up and swing her around. “You’re a hero! A badass!” He yelled to her before setting her back down on the ground.
“Carrying the team, huh?” Uraraka asked after she caught her breath.
“Keep it up and maybe I’ll name you MVP,” he smirked, and Uraraka nodded determinedly. Awase ran back to his position, and Kaminari rolled the ball in his hands.
“Oi, Bakugou,” he called, throwing it back to his captain. The ball bounced off Bakugou’s head with a thud, but he hadn’t even seemed to notice. His eyes were locked, fire raging in them, onto Uraraka. She gave him one fleeting smile, then devoted her attention back to the game.

Over the next few days, Uraraka upped her flirtation game to a gold-tier level. She was practically a seasoned professional at this point, having mastered the art of fluttering eyelashes, swinging hips, and giggling. She flounced over to Sero during their free time and asked him if he would make her a swing out of his tape. When he happily obliged, she let him push her in it, kicking her feet and laughing with joy. The other girls all wanted their turns after her, and Uraraka was fine with that, because Bakugou had taken one look at her and stalked away into the dorms.
During one of their common room hang outs with class 3B, Bakugou was in the kitchen cooking something hot, while Uraraka convinced Tsuburaba to use his quirk to attempt to give her a Brazilian blowout in order to make her hair extra shiny. The boy had been embarrassed and muttered that her hair was pretty already, but he had done his best anyway, and really, it had turned out pretty well. She used her phone to snap a picture, and urged Tsuburaba to jump in it with her. He did so, and while they were both grinning away, the fire alarm began to blare, and Uraraka turned her head towards Bakugou, who was staring openly at her, holding a flaming pan.
“Dude, what’s going on with you?” Kirishima asked Bakugou once they had filed out of the common room and been accounted for by a very harassed-looking Aizawa. “You’re usually such a good cook!”
“Fuck off, Shitty Hair.”
On day four, Uraraka was getting in her workout in the evening. As it turns out, Bakugou had the same idea, and was in the middle of spotting Kirishima when she walked in. She waved cheerfully to Kirishima, and found her own rack to claim. She had been working on increasing her weight when squatting, and had come close to breaking her personal record. Bakugou always spotted her, but clearly, that was not going to happen today.
Thankfully, there were others in the gym who would gladly assist her with her problem.
“Hey, Uraraka!” Tetsutetsu beamed at her. “You need a spotter?”
“You read my mind,” Uraraka simpered.
With Tetsutetsu encouraging her, Uraraka was able to up her weight and smash her personal record. When the bar fell back down onto the rack, she jumped up and down, high-fiving the boy and waving away his praise. Somewhere, on the opposite end of the gym, there was the deafening thud of heavy weights being thrown, and the slamming of the gym door being closed.

Uraraka loved lunch time. It wasn’t just that she got a free meal (though that was at least seventy percent of it) but also the fact that she got to catch up on all the shenanigans of all of her schoolmates at UA. Immediately after her breakup with Bakugou, Uraraka had worried that she would lose her friends in the fall-out, because the Bakusquad was a loyal entity. To her surprise, it hadn’t been a problem at all. Mina had waved her over like nothing had happened at all, and when Bakugou had sat down a few minutes later, everyone just keep their cool. Bakugou stayed on his side, guarded by Sero and Kirishima, and Uraraka stayed on hers, sandwiched between Mina and Tsu.
Today, on day five, Uraraka took her usual seat next to Mina, but today on the other side of her was Shinso. He regarded her with a bored expression on his face, but Uraraka knew better than to be offended. Shinso could be having lunch with the World’s Most Interesting Man and he would still manage to look like he’d rather be napping.
“Hi, Shinso," she said lightly. Bakugou was across the table, far enough away to not be able to overhear their conversation, but close enough that she could see the vein in his forehead twitching.
“Hi, Uraraka,” Shinso said back. She scooted closer to him, subtly, but noticeably enough that if someone was possibly glaring holes into the back of her head, they would realize.
“Ooh,” she looked down at his plate, momentarily distracted from her ploy. “Can I trade you for your onigiri? I didn’t think I wanted it but yours looks good.”
Shinso assessed her plate. “Sure. For your curry rice.”
“Aww, I wanted that too!”
Shinso grimaced, but then smirked. “Fine, just take it then.”
Uraraka beamed and made a grab for the onigiri, but Shinso held it away from her. “First, admit to me what you’re doing.”
“Huh?” Uraraka played dumb, but she knew that she wouldn’t be able to trick Shinso. He was too good at reading people, too observant. “I’m just…”
“Trying to make Bakugou jealous,” Shinso answered for her.
“No!”
“Don’t make me brainwash you.” Shinso shook the onigiri in the air and Uraraka let out a huff of defeat.
“Keep your voice down,” she hissed at him. Mina was too engaged in a conversation with Hagakure about whether she would rather date Ms. Joke or Mount Lady to pay any attention to what Shinso was saying to Uraraka, but she could never be too careful. “Maybe that’s what I’m doing, what’s it to you?”
Shinso tossed her the onigiri and she fumbled, but managed to catch it in her arms. He laughed. “Nothing, it’s just pretty obvious and I think it’s stupid. If you’re so set on making him jealous, you clearly want a reaction out of him, and he spends all his time staring at you. You two clearly want to work things out, so why not just do it?”
Uraraka blinked at him. “It’s not that simple.”
“Why? You still love him?”
"I mean…yeah.” She bit her lip. “You think I’m stupid. I don’t know, I just…he’s so stubborn sometimes. I just wanted to make him jealous enough to do something about it.”
“Well, I do think you’re stupid, but,” he tossed an arm around Uraraka’s shoulder lazily and whispered in her ear, “pissing Bakugou off is something I can always get behind.”
Uraraka’s eyes widened, but then she couldn’t help herself – she leaned into Shinso and she laughed. Maybe she was being stupid. Maybe this whole thing was ridiculous, but she had to admit, she was enjoying Bakugou’s reactions. Whether or not that made her a terrible person, she couldn’t say, but again, she was only human.
"Don’t look now, but…” Shinso removed his arm just in time for Bakugou to stomp over, fury radiating off of him in waves. “Hey, man, what’s up?” He asked him calmly.
Bakugou seemed to be incapable of speech. His face was red, his eyes were dangerous, and his stance was predatory. He ignored Shinso completely, and instead turned to Uraraka. “We need to talk. Now.”
Shinso winked at her, but she couldn’t react, because Bakugou was grabbing her arm and dragging her out of the lunch room. She could barely keep up with his pace, and he didn’t stop until they were in an abandoned hallway, right outside of the boy’s restroom. Bakugou didn’t release her arm.
“What’s your fuckin’ deal?” He growled at her, turning her so that she was facing him. Her back was almost to the wall, and Bakugou towered above her. “You doing this shit on purpose? Flirting with every goddamn extra in this school?”
“Why do you care who I flirt with? You dumped me, remember? I’m allowed to flirt with whoever I want,” Uraraka levelled with him. Bakugou never intimidated her, not even when they were first years. She had always been the one to stand up to him, the one to knock him down a peg. Bakugou had shown her respect that he was not willing to show anyone else in the class, and Uraraka knew she had earned that respect. She had fought tooth-and-nail for it, never letting Bakugou perceive her as weak. He never would.
"Fucking – ” Bakugou stomped his foot in frustration, like a toddler throwing a tantrum, and Uraraka couldn’t help but smile at the mental image. “What’s so damn funny, cheeks?”
"You’re jealous. Admit it. You can’t take seeing me talk to other guys because you’re jealous,” she taunted him, watching his face turn even darker at the accusation. Uraraka had gotten him now – she had the upper hand, she had won, she –
Bakugou pushed Uraraka back against the wall, and in one swift movement, he snatched her hands and held them above her head. His body crowded her, and they began to breathe each other’s air. “I have nothing to be jealous of. Those extras don’t have shit. You’re mine.”
Uraraka gasped when Bakugou bit down on her neck so hard that she was sure it would leave a bruise – marking her, claiming her. Normally, this move would end her, would completely destroy all self-control, but not today. She wouldn’t be defeated that easily. “Am I?” She kept her voice steady. “I was under the impression that we broke up.”
"Biggest mistake of my fucking life,” Bakugou mumbled against her skin. Shivers broke out over her body and she unconsciously relaxed into his touch.
But she wasn’t done yet. She yanked her hands out of his grip and shoved him away from her, and glared up at him. “Say you’re sorry.”
Bakugou narrowed his eyes at her and made no indication that he was going to apologize. Instead, he grazed his hand over her hip, his fingers teasing along the underside of her skirt. He ghosted above the skin, not quite touching her but if he just pressed a little closer…
Uraraka snapped herself out of it. She would not fall for his charms – not until he apologized. If Bakugou wanted to play dirty, then fine, Uraraka would play dirtier.
“Say you’re sorry, Katsuki.” She brought her palm to his crotch and squeezed hard.
The effect was immediate. Bakugou let out a hiss of pleasure and grabbed Uraraka’s face, bringing it to his own, their lips hovering just a centimeter apart. “I’m sorry, angel face,” he breathed, "so fuckin' sorry," and that was all Uraraka needed to give in.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into her, and Bakugou obliged, slamming their bodies against each other. He kissed her desperately, frantically, like an addict and God, Uraraka understood the feeling. She teased her tongue against his lower lip, sighing into his mouth when he opened it for her.
“Fuck, missed you,” Bakugou’s voice was husky. His hands trailed down her body, fixating on every curve, ensuring that no part of her was neglected. They started at her collar bone, over her chest, slowing at her stomach for long enough to deftly unbutton her blouse.
That was enough to wake Uraraka up from the lust-filled incarnation of a wet dream she was experiencing in a very public place. “Katsuki,” She choked out. “We can’t – not here.”
“No problem,” Bakugou growled in her ear, and then his hands were moving again, gripping her under her thighs and lifting her into the air. She yelped, but let Bakugou toss her over his shoulder and slip them both into the boy’s restroom. She let out a giggle when he swung her around and let her back on the ground, and it turned into a moan when he pulled her into a stall and crowded her back against the wall.
“Never gonna let anyone have you, hear that, angel face?” Bakugou made quick work of her uniform, finishing what he had started in the hallway and throwing her shirt and tie onto the floor. “No one makes you feel like this.” He lifted her body again and rolled his hips against her, grinding right against the thin material of her underwear. “No one but me, got that?” He snapped the back of her bra and moved his face to her breasts. He tentatively licked at her left nipple, swirling his tongue around tantalizingly slow before sucking it entirely into his mouth. He maintained eye contact with her the whole time, and Uraraka whined.
“Got it,” she panted, bucking her own hips into Bakugou, needing more contact between her legs.
Bakugou released his hold on her nipple with a wet pop, and smirked dangerously at Uraraka. “You want something, angel?” He let his hand wander under her skirt. One finger pressed lightly at the front of her underwear. She writhed against him. “Who’s gonna give it to you, huh? One of those extras?”
“No!” She clutched her legs together, aching for some relief.
“You’re fucking right. I am.” Then he yanked down her underwear and discarded them onto the floor. “I’m gonna give you exactly what you want.”
He started to rub her, giving Uraraka the delicious friction that she had been desperate for. She rutted against his hand, begging him with her actions for more, more. Bakugou happily obliged, and he captured her mouth once more as he toyed with her. He slid in one finger, then two, and with every whimper that Uraraka let out, Bakugou increased his pace.
“Kat – Katsuki, fuck!” She wheezed. Her cheeks were flushed, her mouth was hanging open, and she couldn’t take her eyes off Bakugou. She gripped his shirt to pull him closer to her. “I want – ”
“What do you want, angel? Tell me.” He continued working her, and when she didn’t answer, he pulled his fingers out. They were slick with moisture, and he grinned deviously at them. “Tell me, Ochako.”
“I want…you,” she managed, weakly.
"Only me?” He taunted.
"Only you,” she promised. She moved her hand back to his crotch and felt how much harder he had grown, how badly he wanted her. She unzipped his pants, and helped him out of them. When his boxers joined her clothes on ground, she wrapped her hand around him. “Only ever you. No one else.”
Bakugou kissed her, hard, as she began to stroke him languidly, tantalizingly. Bakugou growled against her lips. “We’re not taking this slow.”
"No,” Uraraka agreed, and she picked up the pace. Bakugou groaned and rocked against her hand, whispering expletives under his breath. “But this isn’t what I want.”
“Show me what – fuck – what you want then,” he demanded. Uraraka smiled, and then she released Bakugou’s erection after one final tug, and she turned so that she was facing the wall. Leisurely, she lifted her skirt and bent over before throwing her head back to shoot him a wanting look.
“Fuck, I love you so much,” Bakugou groaned. “I love you. I love you. I fucking love you.” He lined himself up with her, caressing her before settling his hands onto her hips. “I’ll show you how much I do. You’re my fucking everything. I was such an idiot.”
“You’re talking too much, Katsuki,” Uraraka urged him. “We can talk later. Show me now.”
Bakugou nodded tersely once, and then, all at once, sunk into her, letting out a blissed moan as he filled her. He moved slowly at first, giving Uraraka a chance to get used to it, but he wasn’t gentle for long. He switched his pace to punishing, and Uraraka met his thrusts by slamming back into him. She threw her head back as she matched his rhythm. He tangled his hands into her hair and pulled.
“Katsuki!” She could no longer control her volume, could no longer keep herself for crying out for this man. With his free hand, he gripped her hip, and slowed down. He moved with slow intent, torturing her. He pulled out, then crashed back into her, causing her to lose the ability to make any coherent noises. Uraraka’s body was a whirlwind of pleasure, emotion, and desire. She burned for him. She needed him. She was so – so close.
“Please, Katsuki, faster.”
Bakugou grunted, then obeyed, pressing his body against her as he sped up his thrusts. It was enough to undo her. She let her face fall against the cool bathroom tile as she fell apart around Bakugou, letting the ecstasy encase her as she found her release.
Bakugou followed soon after, calling out her name before he collapsed against her, pinning her to the wall. Neither said anything for a moment, and the only sound in the room was the sound of their intermingled breathing.
Bakugou peeled himself off of her, and then pulled her to his chest. He kissed the top of her hair, and then let out a deep breath. “Well, you made your fucking point,” he muttered, and Uraraka gave him a questioning look. “I’m never letting you go ever again.”
Uraraka smiled, and tightened her arms around him. "Good idea."
