I started this as something sweet and lovely... but it's too damn hot here and Anakin is only ever a few steps away from turning into a crazy little Vaderling by this point in the timeline, so it ended up as this mess instead. ★ Lullabies. Because Skywalkity sent me an ask: Lullabies. More specifically, the idea that as a child Anakin used to get very scared and would go countless nights without sleeping, so Obi-wan took to singing soft lullabies to him before bed, and then it's days and months and years and it's been a long time since the end of everything and One night obi-wan finds Anakin at 3am slumbering outside the door of his room, and Anakin jolts awake and he's still half asleep so when obi wan crouches besides him and asks him what's wrong he just closes his eyes and says, "i can't sleep. I haven't slept in a very long time, obi wan." So obi wan takes him to his bed and holds him and starts murmuring a lullaby to him, and his voice keeps breaking, and Anakin just holds him back tight and kisses his cheeks, the tip of his nose, the corner of his lips, the way he's wanted to ever since he was a child. 2400 words | rated T.

★ Force Ghosts. For an ask on Tumblr: can I request obikin as force ghosts as a prompt? I got this ask while I was thinking about the story of Seiriol the Fair and Cybi the Dark. They both trekked halfway across Anglesey each day to meet at a well in the middle because they loved each other so were sixth century holy bros. Which lead to this weird little fic about, I guess, being stuck in limbo because Anakin has learned absolutely nothing about letting go. 300 words | rated G
★ Reunion. For an ask on Tumblr: ROTS AU where Anakin fell but didn't kill the Younglings and Obi-Wan managed to bring him back on Mustafar (no maiming) but it still tears them both apart and they don't see each other for years... maybe Luke seeking out Obi-Wan is what prompts an angsty reunion? I feel like this one stayed fairly close to the prompt, except there was maiming... 1200 words | rated T.
★ Reverse Master/Padawan AU. For an ask on Tumblr: I can't stop thinking about the Rako Hardeen arc happening in a reverse master/padawan AU and how Anakin hiding the truth from Obi-Wan would bring up similar issues for both of them but in different ways compared to canon. I went with Obi-Wan still being the one to fake his death - not least because he has to shave off his pretty long hair to do it, much to Anakin's dismay. 2100 words | rated E. Maybe his teeth are too sharp, sometimes? Maybe his shadow and tether to gravity is too loose? I'm a sucker for all the typical Stewjoni headcanons. Then it went from there to Anakin wanting to help him through cramps, etc. To spending so much time in his head that on the plus side he can find Obi-Wan when he's kidnapped on Jabiim...
