"I don't want to kill you." The blonde huffed, pouted really, blowing a strand of hair out of her face for a brief moment. She scowled and clicked her tongue, seemed almost offended, though Ujiko couldn't possibly imagine why. "Well. I don't really want to kill anybody; I just, like, get really in the mood and loose control or whatever sometimes." She shrugged, and he hummed, unsure exactly where this was going.
Unsure where- Toga? Her name might be?- even came from, or how she got here. Unsure what, exactly, she thought she could do to him, one of Sensei's most loyal supporters. Especially when she wasn't even paying attention to him, monologuing like a dumb thug and not even noticing as he reached for the defense-fail-safe-
Fuck. Or not, apparently, as there was now a knife directly in his hand.
"This isn't like that, though." She continued, tone falling flatter, as he gritted his teeth through the pain and ripped the knife out. His eyes widened as he realized that there was a strange sheen to the blade- it was coated in something. When did she- "I'm totally lucid, for once- it's super weird, but it makes sense. The thought of becoming you, even for an instant, is fucking repulsive." She spits, and she's wearing a disturbing expression. Something between disgust and satisfaction.
His world started to fade away as she crept closer, and he felt something like dread for the first time in years.
"You- you aren't allowed to kill me." he bites out, half mumbled, entirely desperate.
(He doesn't wonder 'is this what the dozens of children I've kidnapped have felt?' . He doesn't see the irony at all.
She sees the lack of reflection in his eyes, and finds it in her endlessly-expanding heart to hate him even more.)
"No, I don't want to kill you." She reiterated, grimacing, maybe mishearing him and maybe ignoring him entirely. "But I want you dead, and no one else has the balls to do it, so I guess I'll make due." A considering pause that makes him hold his breathe (even though, with the way his lungs are starting to constrict, he can't afford to) and hope for the best. "Though, you make a point. Shiggy's gonna fucking end me for this." She giggled, and all hope faded as she stands in front of him and glares at him. "It'll be worth it, though, if you won't be able to hurt anyone I care about anymore." She says firmly, cold in a way her psych eval and everything he's ever heard about her insists she can't be. It's fascinating.
Unceremoniously, like he's nothing, she stabs him twice; once through the throat, and once through the heart.
He dies with a million questions on his tongue, in his mind, documented in books and hard drives- he dies with so much more to do, so much to learn.
And the unhinged, relieved laughter of a teenager he'd never met before, frustratingly, didn't answer a single damn one of them.
