Work Text:

"hitoshi we kidnapped someone!"

izuku was fucking frantic. they -- hitoshi and him -- were huddled up in his room with an unwilling and an brainwashed monoma who was angry with them for a multiple reasons really. it could be the fact they look like traitors, like no good villains. and they don't help their case by forcing the blond teen into silence as they panicked in the dorm.

izuku was already reduced to stress tears as he chewed on his bottom lip. he practiced the story of why the hell they were friends with a villain. why them being friends with shigaraki shouldnt be a bad thing besides the obvious and why they shouldn't think that they were betraying u.a. -- betraying all of their friends and peers, their teachers and oh god, their family. though, izuku had a vague feeling his mother would throw a fucking party if he went to jail and was finally not a hero -- that he finally can't be a hero. but he digress, he still didn't want to go through all of those nasty feelings of betrayal.

"we didn't kidnapped him izuku, we borrowed him. and besides, monoma could be visiting for all people know." hitoshi says in a deadpan as he watched his best friend walk around in a mutter of panic that was starting to brew up. he could only catch bits and pieces of it, but from what he heard, the greenhead teen was already planing what to say to the police and possibly planning on how to get out of jail. part of him wanted to be scared, wanted to be freaked out, but if anything it made him more interested in what the full plan was. yeah, hitoshi thinks that's probably wasn't good. they were heros, not villains. they don't need to go around breaking the rules or laws. even if they both still do it by just trying to friend people they shouldn't.

izuku stared at hitoshi with the most scandalized look before he whipped his head around to monoma and pointed at the spaced out teen who was sitting in a corner peacefully. his pigeon blue eyes blank and clouded, matching with his eerily neutral and still face -- waiting to be told and command from hitoshi. the only thing not frozen from the teen was his chest, only rising every few seconds to fall heavily. it unnerved izuku to see the normally hostile and snarky teen so calm, so quiet. but he knew it was from a quirk, and not any quirk; it was from hitoshis. he saw it happen, he saw how hitoshi told the teen to be quiet and to follow them. for once in izukus life, he wasnt so fascinated by a quirk. he was more scared than anything else.

"we fucked up hitoshi. this isn't asking monoma to swing by for a quick chat. this is me and you fucking up! you and me both know monoma would rather die than step foot within class a dorm.. no, actually, he would probably die. he hates our class with some people being a small exception but still! people know this and it would be weird for him to suddenly show up. we're going to get in so much trouble because of well.. me.." izuku whispered the last part while he slammed his hand over his face and ran it down with a low, remorseful groan. izuku felt many things at once, and one of those things being his regret.

izuku didn't regret knowing the older, he will never regret that, but he feels horrible for getting hitoshi in his mess. he knew the risk of trying to be happy with well a villain. someone he grew to know as a friend, as maybe even as far as a brother. he wouldn't give that up so easily. he didn't care that the world had made things so black and white that if you even break a minor law, or if you simply mess up a bit, you're suddenly a criminal scum. he knows this part of the world all too well with him being quirkless in the past. quirkless usually went unheard, and that also meant the labels. ( freak, unnatural, delinquent, crybady, and some even mockingly called him a villain in creation. )

izuku knows this, and wants to change it but he also knows how no one will be on his side. at least, not that many. he'll have hitoshi who also experience the bad side and the ugly grey area of the forced black and white world they live in. but that also meant izuku will watch his best friend be hurt and in trouble more if they ever get caught doing what they're doing. suddenly, izuku didnt like any of the wild plans of sneaking out and hanging out with his new favorite people -- shigaraki and hitoshi.

"izuku.. i can't just let him go and you know this." hitoshi says with a sigh, his joking tone dropping seeing that izuku was far more distress than he let on. he was trying his best to be the calm, voice of reason for his best friend but even he could feel his fear and apprehension dripping; pooling and weighing heavy in his stomach. he could feel the tiny hairs of the back of his neck rise as the time went on and they still did nothing about this situation. hitoshi just wanted to make monoma forget about what he overheard but izuku told him it was a bad idea. just for the sake that monoma would be confused why he's in izukus room and get angry, alerting unneeded attention. it was frustrating, but he wasn't going to pull his hair out over it.

"i know this! but how are we going to get him back to the class b dorms?! or better yet, what are we supposed to do with--" izuku paused, with a breath he heard his door knock and a voice that sounded like ochako calling out to him. for a moment, the teen felt like crying. well, more than he already was. izuku templed stared to pulse and throb from the incoming stress he was facing now. he knew ochako was probably there for the class movie night downstairs that he completely forgot about, and he and hitoshi didn't plan to deal with while they tried to figure out what to do with monoma.

"do something!" izuku hissed through his teeth with his eyes narrowed. he knew later he'd have to apologize to hitoshi for how he's been acting, but for now he watched as the lavender teen ordered monoma to hide in the closet and to be quiet. with that in all place, izuku sighed and opened his door to show ochako waiting patiently with a smile.

"deku kun! oh, and shinsou! are you two coming down to join us? its movie night, tonight tsuyu and shoto picked a movie. both are dinsey, they're lilo and stitch along with rapunzle." the brown haired girl beamed, with an airy tone as she spoke happily about the movies. izuku was sure that they all have seen both of those movies ( though rapunzel more ) over a hundred times. at this point, izuku could act the movies out and they wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference. but he suppose he don't blame them, if was going to be choosing a disney movie it would've been mulan despite them seeing actually thirty nine times and yes he counted.

"not tonight ochako, we're just going to stay in my room if that's okay? ill-- we'll maybe catch you downstairs later if you guys are doing a slumber party in the common room!" izuku tried to pull off his best smile to comfort the girl, but it wasnt enough. ochakos face fell into a frown with her brown eyes widening into a look of sadness. he could tell she was upset with him not coming down, but he had bigger problems to deal with rather than the bubbling guilt that was in his chest that dared tried to suffocate him. instead he barely managed to wait to hear ochakos sputtered out 'see you later' before he had shut the door in a hurry.

hitoshi was staring at him with some sort of look -- some sort of expression that he couldn't exactly read but it felt more judgmental than anything else. he felt watched. felt vulnerable. maybe he was being dramatic, and he really was letting the pressure of things get to his head, but he was scared. if he didn't fix things, he'd lose everything. including hitoshi who looked too calm for izukus taste.

"you're freaking out." it was a statement and it was true. hitoshi while he may not be the closest of friends with izukus friends at the moment since he really don't like how they treat the teen, he could also still see the hurt in her eyes from izuku basically slamming to door in the girls face. later on, hitoshi knows izuku might talk to ochako when he's in a much better headspace and can think clearly. when he can breath without feeling as if someone will fault him for that too. but for now, hitoshi watched as izuku ignored him and rushed to the closest where monoma rested in and flung the door opened a little too hard earning a pitchy screech from the door.

izuku sighed, maybe in relieve that the pigeon blue eyed teen was still mindless as ever or the fact he was just there and nothing truly had happened yet. izuku hasn't figured that out yet, but he fell to his knees and slumped. he was tired, he doesn't know what to do, and anything he think of seemed to be bad. at least bad as in career ending wise. which, in hindsight, is still bad. he needs to make a living of himself, and rotting away in some cell in not the way to go.

"we could take him to shigaraki you know.." hitoshi muttered after a few long tense seconds of silence. izuku paused and stared at hitoshi as if the teen grew a second head. shigaraki, while mildly exasperated them, he won't hold no qualms about trying to seriously hurt or even worse killing monoma just for his silence for them. it's the last thing that izuku wants, and he doesn't need things to be worst. he would hate for things to get worst. if they ever get in trouble it'll just go from at best, them simply forcing monoma to the dorms to actually hurting him or having a freaking murder charge on their records! izuku doesnt need to deal with that.

"hitoshi no. while shigaraki might help, he won't be able to help in the long run. i- just think about it hito. shigaraki will threaten silence on monoma! what if we're ever in this situation but worse? we- we.. can't go to him. not this time." hitoshi frowned but nodded knowing it was best not to argue dispite him not fully agreeing with what izuku said. even if the way was villainous, going to shigaraki would be best. the threat of them being outed was safe. but, it just means now they'll have to watch the teen more now. its harder, and a much more tiring route than the last and its also a more dangerous one than the one he wanted to do, but he will do it. for izuku at least.

"izuku at least when things are getting harder, we will go to shigaraki right?" hitoshi asked with a hopeful tone. hitoshi could see the hesitation in his green eyes, as he slightly reeled back -- fighting with his own thoughts. but, he sighed not too long after the question and dropped his head in a nod.

"y- yea- yeah, that's fair. but for now, we need to actually do something about.. him." hitoshi hummed as he trailed his purple eyes over to the muted, clouded, blue ones. he guess they could stick to their first idea with erasing his memory then carefully sneak him out to the one b dorm. they'll have to hope they don't break the connection while they're on the move, or while they're trying to get him to the dorm. and they'll also have to hope not to run into anyone, but with class a all downstairs in the common room, they might not be too lucky with that. they could also always try to get monoma outside and send a order to get him to his dorm by himself and just hope they don't fuck that up either. they really don't have much options at this point.

"sneak him back? i mean.. what else are we going to do. its probably best if we wait until our class fall asleep from the movie night, it'll be easier." hitoshi told izuku who agreed, or at the very least just shrugged and didn't complain at the plan. hitoshi frowned but leaned against the wall, he knew it'll be a few hours before they will be able actually to do something but hitoshi is used to waiting hours upon hours. he had to do it thanks to him no being able to sleep well at night, and now him doing things like this with izuku.

for a moment, hitoshi allowed himself to think back for how they even get into this mess. they're usually more careful for the most part. they try to talk alone most of the time during lunch in their usual spot, and during that time is the time they plan what their next action is going to be or if they're even going to do anything this or that week. both him and izuku knew that they were starting to come off suspicious to their friends and if anything, they had a plan for if any of their friends found out.

but when monoma, instead of going to anybody else in the damn room he had to come to them when they were in the middle of talking about shigaraki and how to see him without the teachers and classmates knowing this time. of course, instead of his usual 'class b is better than class a' snark, monoma had went dangerously silent. izukus eyes had widen, with his eyes started to tear up with a storm of emotions brewing in them. he was starting to panic, on the inside at least. and hitoshi couldn't do much, they were in a public area. they had planned for their friends finding out, hell -- they even planned for some of their teachers, but not monoma. he never seemed like a problem or real threat to hitoshi nor izuku.

hitoshi didn't know exactly how they had managed to get monoma into the dorms, he want to call it luck -- seeing as no one was there when he told the teen to follow them. or it could have been their extremely good timing, his classmates weren't that far back either. all he knows is, he remembered having to find monoma -- which was stressful -- before getting the blond teen alone so he could do the deed of brainwashing. he was glad he did find monoma when he did, he was close to nezus office. that could only mean he was more than willing to snitch on them.

"hitoshi.. how are we going to know when the class is sleep?" izuku asked, clearing the silence they once had. he didn't mind, the silence was tense and he felt uncomfortable just sitting in it for even a second. he could see hitoshi lazily look up at him and shrug, he also didn't have a answer to that. they were just going to wait and hope when they go down they didn't get caught. izuku had frowned at that, he didn't like that at all. but, he didn't say anything, izuku just curled up into himself, allowing his negative emotions take over his body. he felt bad for a lot of things, and he felt paranoid at the moment.

izuku could feel the soothing yet so mockingly voice, whispering in the back of his mind telling him things were going to go bad. he knew things were going to go bad -- they should have did things differently. and now that he was thinking, instead of taking monoma to their dorm in a panic, they really could've just led him away from nezus office then told him to forget... great, now izuku feels like an idiot.

"izuku stop that." hitoshis voice came out strong, yet so calm and gentle. he only peered up at the other teen with a frown in confusion at what exactly he needed to stop. hitoshi smiled at him, or gave him a smirk of some sorts that felt comforting dispite the smile itself not being warm nor welcoming. he tried to smile back, but it came off forced, and awkward and a poor attempt next to his best friends. instead, izuku sagged his shoulders and allowed himself to just give his attention to the other teen and see what exactly he wanted and see what exactly izuku did wrong.

"you're blaming yourself, right? i mean im partly -- if not mostly -- to blame. i took monoma here, i took him to your room, i did all of this. what did you do? nothing. im the one that put us in this situation.. so, please stop taking all the blame or at the very least share some of the blame, don't hog it." hitoshi lightly joked with a cute, little, wink. he was trying his best to cheer up the green haired teen, which seemed to work. the other latter had rose painted over his freckles as he smiled. it was small, a bit wobbly too, but it was more genuine than the last. hitoshi sighed in relief at the better mood of izuku. he doesnt think he can handle izuku being sad again. at least not soon, it hurts seeing him upset. and because of his mistake.

"mm.. we can go now, if you like. i don't hear that many people. and this class is loud. they might still be up, but.. we're going to be using the stairs to avoid the elevators so we don't alert them. though it'll be a problem when we reach the common room if there's still people in there.." hitoshi eventually said, peaking izukus full attention. his viridian green eyes shinned with something hopeful that they were finally going to be doing something, even if it was a bigger risk than to just wait another hour or two.

"re- really? then.. when we reach the common room level we can use the darkness as our advantage since our classmates watch movies in the dark, and hope even if someone is up, they won't notice monoma." izuku explains to hitoshi. the plan was simple enough, they could hope that their classmates if they notice them that they won't notice monoma. which, is probably asking for too much, but the greenhead teen can hope. the plan wasn't secure, nor was he sure was it going to work but it was better than nothing. and currently, it was all they had besides all the ones that including testing fate.

"sounds good to me. monoma, follow me." the two of them, including the mind controlled teen, made their move. with izuku in the front, he left out of the room as he led them down to the stairs and quickly yet quietly down the stairs. he was also on the look out for other students, though, he was sure that no one would use the stairs if they were up. they would take the elevator if they wanted to go anywhere such as back to their rooms or even each others rooms. though, izuku didn't have to worry too much as they all made it successfully downstairs and standing at the dark entrance of the common room.

it was silent for the most part, with the tv volume on low and most of the teens sleep or nearly there. izuku could see everyone was either wrapped up and uncomfortably laid out on the floors or they decently made arrangements on the couches. but even then, some had manage to hang half way of the couch -- bringing some unlucky classmates with them in their sleep. izuku could already feel the back and neck pain as he tried his best to lead the two teens through the mess that the class made during their movie night.

"why don't our classmates clean up after themselves." hitoshi whispered in an annoyed and disgusted groan as he stepped over one last person and some trash along the way, to make it out the door with izuku. he was glad that part was over with, but the harder part of how they should get monoma back was a problem. he could always just tell the teen to do it -- that way it wouldn't look as suspicious to them, and it'll be easier for them.

"they're just having fun, it'll be clean by morning. they're too scared of aizawa killing them for all of that mess." izuku joked, though he was mostly serious. it took one time for their class to leave a big mess like that, and one time for all of them to never do it again. that man is terrifying. hitoshi snorted in agreement as the two if them slowly and quietly reach outside before pausing in their steps. izuku took a glance over at the pigeon blue eyed teen who just idly stood there with them. izuku didn't think they'd be able to get into class b dorm, at least not without causing more trouble than necessary. and really, hes had more stress in one day than he's needed. hes sure breaking into the other heros class dorm won't turn out lucky for them.

the green haired teen sighed as he glanced up at hitoshi, who was also staring at him with a smile that was patient, caring, and accepting of any order izuku had to say. he was more than willing to do anything that izuku wanted, even if he disagreed. after all, they were in it together and he'll be there for his best friend.

"we should let him go, on his own. and i mean by that is you order him to go.. it might be risky but, you know.. its safer than us trying to get into class bs dorm." izuku gave a hesitate explanation with his bottom lip captured between his teeth. he could feel his nerves bubbling under his skin, he didn't like the idea of losing track of monoma; so many things could go wrong. monoma could manage to break out of the hold, and remember the things that happen. and then if he remembers, they'll be in trouble, and then things will go from bad to worse. but, izuku took a breath calming down, he has to trust hitoshi like hitoshi trust him. if bad goes to worst, they'll go to shigaraki and do something about it.

izuku stilled his ever rising nerves as he watched as blond teen was going away, walking like a stiff -- brain dead servent. hitoshi frowned as he placed a hand on top of izuku, trying his best to give him comfort but it felt so useless seeing the teen turn his head and give him mere forced out smile as if he was trying to ignore his own feelings and stay strong for hitoshi or his own self. the purple haired teen could only sigh in tiredness from the long day as he tugged along izuku so they could get back to the dorm before aizawa noticed they were out. but, hitoshi was sure at this point his dad noticed they were gone. it was curfew, and no doubt that later on they'll get a talking to. he guess they'll have to make up another story, this time why they're out so late.

but for now, hitoshi didn't bother to focus on that long. he had a friend to comfort, and worries on if they did a job right of silencing monoma. he knew by tomorrow he'd know, and he'd hope that they really aren't forced into any uncomfortable corners.

Notes:

i would like to come out and say this is a mess and im surprised i manage to write it.

like,, inspiration on this?? gone. but i knew what i wanted so at least we got something oop--

also, technically this was going to go way.. fluffier and nicer. monoma was going to be friends with them and not become a threat???

but that changed since i thought it would be more fitting. also.. these two have been getting away with the shit they do too easily? isn't that boring?? like they brainwashed AIZAWA!

speaking of which, yes that has consequences since now monoma isnt a friend in this. yayie :)

anyway! i hoped you enjoyed this hot mess!
