Work Text:
It was another sunny day in Yu Cun, another sunny day after Zhang Qiling came back from the Bronze Door. And yet, it was another day Wu Xie had to let the other man go for his mountain patrol routine.
He was reluctant— always reluctant— to let the man go, which was why they were still sitting on the floor, in their bedroom with Zhang Qiling trapped between Wu Xie's thighs. The former was hugged from behind by the latter.
"It's almost midday." Zhang Qiling said.
"Not yet," Wu Xie squeezed even tighter.
"Wu Xie," Zhang Qiling tried to pry Wu Xie's hands as gently as he could, which earned him a click of tongue.
The younger let go unwillingly, and allowed himself to be pulled up to his feet.
"Tianzhen! The sun is already high, how long will you keep Xiaoge inside, the longer he stays the longer he will come back."
Pangzi shouted from outside.
"Shut up, Pangzi!"
Zhang Qiling smiled at their little banter, but mostly at how adorable Wu Xie was, all displeased by his soon departure.
With his glove hands, Zhang Qiling reached out to the back of Wu Xie's neck, pulling him closer for a forehead kiss. "It's only 5 days. Be good." He said.
Wu Xie tried not to sigh at that, he simply nodded.
Taking back his hand, the man deliberately let it grazed softly over Wu Xie's cheek then turned around and, finally, walked out from their room to the first floor.
Zhang Qiling just stepped out of the front door, just more steps to the stairs, but then something, or more likely someone, crashed on his back.
"Bring back some fish!" Wu Xie’s arms tighten around his waist, and voice muffled on his deep blue jacket.
"Hm, ok."
"Shit! Both of you! Spare this Pang ye single ass will you, not in front of our house."
Zhang Qiling patted Wu Xie’s hands once again before resuming his steps. Another pat to Pangzi's shoulder as a silent bye and to convey the usual message, then at very least, went out from their yard.
Still standing on the porch, Wu Xie watched as Zhang Qiling’s back disappeared from his sight. “Ck, I miss him already.”
