Chapter Text
Ochako Uraraka’s face filled almost the entirety of the screen. Her eyes wider, and rounder, than they usually were, her cheeks as pink, if not pinker, than her friend Mina— who was seated right beside her, watching— her lips spitting out incomprehensible words as she tried to compose herself for the camera.
“Oh my god… oh my god …”
Mina’s look of concern is barely visible through the screen when the question is asked.
“Chako, are you okay?”
She shakes her head back and forth, a look of disbelief now resting on her face. The camera zooms out with a little shaking. They’re sitting on a bench right outside of the dorms. Mina gently rubs her as Ochako tries yet again to find her words.
“How in the hell did I not realize I was in love with him?”
She gets up and starts pacing, the camera shaking with every step she took. Mina is heard chuckling as she gets up and follows the shorter girl.
“Hey, it’s not your fault… you didn’t know you liked you know who back in our first year until Yuga pointed it out to you… or how you didn’t know you liked T—“
“Mina. There’s being oblivious, and there’s being an idiot. I’m clearly an idiot.”
Mina opens her mouth to retort but was interrupted by a groan. “He’s so out of my league oh my god. Winning first place in the sports festival for the past two years? Interning with Best Jeanist? Having a work study with both Endeavour and Miruko? He’s literally one of All Might’s favourite students, oh my god.”
“He sure is something isn't he? Although, I wouldn’t go around assuming he was out of your league when you’re literally one of the best heroes in our class,” Mina states as though her words were nothing but fact alone, “but you know how he is. He likes it when people are upfront about things. So what are you gonna do?”
Ochako takes a few more steps before stopping and the sound of a door opening is heard before both girls continue their stroll into the dorms.
“What can I do Mina? I don’t even know if he likes me back.”
The phone is seemingly ripped out of her hands with little to no resistance other than a curt hey!’ from the brunette. The screen is now shaking haphazardly and the background noise intensifies the closer they seemed to walk towards their other classmates.
“Now that’s just something you’ll have to find out yourself, don’t you think?”
