Chapter Text

Bakugou couldn't think he just ran. Ran as fast as he could.

Heart pumping, muscles aching, sweat drenching clothes; running.

He couldn't think. No the emotions would catch up with him. So he just ran.

It had been 3 months 4 days and 2 hours since Izuku had jumped.

Inko had just called his mother. She said he was waking up. How would Bakugo face him? Why had he even said it? It was so stupid. Now the nerd would never achieve his dream. But would he even remember?

Maybe Bakugou could just say sorry. But that wasn't right heroes never apologize because they’re always right. That's what he had always been told; that's what he believed.
He gritted his teeth and turned towards home. There was no point delaying the Inevitable. He would just have to face it.

...

Izuku groaned. He tried to move his body but all he felt was pain. He heard quiet sobbing beside him He tried to turn his head to see who it was. But couldn't even do that. He tried to speak next but his voice was gone. His throat was dry as if he had hadn't had anything to drink for months. A light shone painfully in his eyes Izuku blinked. What was going on? The last thing he remembered was standing on a roof. He was talking to someone important. But why were they on a roof?

There was a blonde man. Was he the important person? Maybe. Perhaps... no wait there was someone else. They had been dark and cloudy. The blonde man left and then a manmade have clouds was there. Dark clouds as if a storm full of purple lightning was brewing. If he hadn't known about quirks, He would have thought a demon was after him.

Maybe it was a demon. He'd offered him something. Something terrifying. But he couldn't for the life of him remember what it was. The sobbing was coming back this time Izuku turned his head to see his mother sobbing and holding his hand. He couldn't feel it. He looked down at their joint hands uncomprehendingly. Why couldn't he feel it?

Then he remembered he had been pushed. He looked at his mother and tried to speak again. But all that came out was some croaking. And nurse brought him a cup of water with a straw. Gratefully, he drank it. His throat was parched. He opened his mouth to speak again to tell them what had happened and to ask about why he couldn't feel his body but his throat clogged up as his mother beat him to the punch.

"I'm sorry," She sobbed over and over in a disturbingly familiar way. Izuku's heart broke and he started crying tears of his own frustrated that he was unable to respond to her in any way. For the first time in a long time Izuku dreaded the thought of his future. What would happen to him?
