Work Text:
“Now, Machiavelli discusses how the rules of power have priority over…”
Jisung yawned, checking his phone for the nth time. It had only been a couple minutes since the last time he checked but he was bored out of his mind. He still doesn’t know why he decided to take a social studies class but there was nothing he could do about it. His arms stretched, uncaring for the students behind him as he yawned loudly. This was why he liked sitting at the back of the class, there was less likely chance the professor would spot him and he could take a nap in peace. Flipping his hoodie up, he rested his cheek on his arms that were folded over his laptop on the table. He felt his mind drift as his mind chose to focus on the low hum of the heating vent.
The temperature outside was slowly dropping as fall began. He hated the fact that he still couldn’t fight his primal instinct to sleep like the dead in cold temperature. Being a hamster was harder than it seemed. He was natural prey, a small species of rodent, that was easily panicked even when he knew he shouldn’t be.
Jisung wasn’t like other hamsters. Most tended to live peaceful lives, moving away from the hustle and bustle but Jisung loved it. He liked how lively the city was and set off for university the moment he graduated.
The school he went to was co-ed, a mix of predators and preys attended. He didn’t want to limit himself to being around just rodents his whole life so despite his naturally shy disposition, Jisung moved to the city. He tried his best to not become a loner and met Hyunjin who was from the same school as him and had entered the university at the same time. The weasel was a little less reckless than he was, steering clear of most predators if he could. They were an unlikely pair but after a while, they became inseparable. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up, Hyunjin got assigned to a different room, leaving Jisung to room with a complete stranger.
Jisung remembers how much Hyunjin prepared to move to the city. He made sure the school assigned him a prey roommate, Jisung wasn’t as picky. They were hybrids after all, they were above certain primal urges. It was a week into moving in when Hyunjin called him about his new roommate arriving. Jisung couldn’t make out much except that his roommate had scales and was scary. Perhaps there was a mix-up but Jisung saw it as an opportunity to make a new friend, an idea which Hyunjin has shot down multiple times. Jisung didn’t understand why, it was hard enough to deal with the stereotypes surrounding certain species but it didn’t mean they had to accept them as truth.
Take his own roommate, for example. Minho was a little quiet, stand-offish at times but he was polite. The most he knew about him was that Minho was a predator, tagged in his profile when Jisung moved in. But despite being a predator, he was nice. They shared a kitchen and Jisung noticed how Minho always left him some leftovers to share. It was a bit hypocritical of him to tell Hyunjin to be friends with his roommate when wasn’t able to do the same but it wasn’t entirely his fault. Minho wasn’t always home and when he was, he was holed up in his room, most likely asleep. Jisung has tried multiple times to eat dinner with him but he never accepted. He sighed out loud, the ears buried in his fluffy hair flicked. It was kind of a blessing in disguise somehow because Minho was also distractingly pretty. Jisung would probably not be able to hold a proper conversation with him without spacing out, staring at his face.
Minho was mysterious, in a cool, unbothered way that made it really sexy. Jisung sometimes imagines the things Minho gets up to outside of their shared home. Maybe he was part of a gang, he looked the part. Someone who looks hot when they’re in a fight with a little blood on their lips. Maybe he was some dancer, Jisung remembers Minho mentioning offhandedly that he had dance practice. He could definitely be an exotic dancer, he would say stripper but Jisung thinks his heart would give out if he thought about it too hard. He didn’t know Minho well enough which gave him the opportunity to imagine all sorts of scenarios, all centered on Minho’s cool and sexy disposition. Jisung had an active imagination, he liked movies especially horror and action ones. It wasn’t his fault that his roommate happens to look just like those people in the movies.
Jisung turned back to the discussion, willing his heart to calm down. He really worked himself up with that last scenario of Minho. He checked his phone once more and noticed a message popped up. He sat up so fast that he accidentally bumped his desk, rattling it and the contents on top. His neighbors threw a few pointed stares but Jisung didn’t care, cradling his phone in his hands. It was a text from Minho. He offered to exchange numbers in case anything happened and it was really just an excuse but Jisung was surprised when Minho agreed. Unlocking his phone, he tried to take deep breaths to calm himself.
Ran out of tofu. Want anything?
It was a simple, almost routine text from Minho. He had a job, apart from his schooling and had no qualms buying food to share if they needed. Jisung would pitch in, buying groceries on the weekend with his parent’s money but if they wanted anything on a whim, Minho would offer to buy. Minho was sweet but Jisung still felt a little shame asking him for things. He felt his cheeks flush, his tail moved rapidly where it was hidden in his pants. Texts like this spoke about Minho’s thoughtfulness and Jisung could pretend that this was how he treated his partners. Letting out a wistful sigh, he shot a quick text back before tucking into his arms and napping until the end of class.
No, it’s okay. (*~▽~)
The rest of the day passed like a blur. He was glad he decided to just wear a hoodie instead of dress up today, he was feeling more lethargic than usual from the cold. Hyunjin had invited him to coffee, they barely had time to hang out now. He took to joining nearly every club, in the hopes of filling his schedule enough to not be home and around his roommate a lot. As much as he missed his friend, all Jisung wanted to do was nap so he made his way back to his dorm.
There’s something to be said about instincts. No matter how far they’ve evolved, there were still some things you couldn’t get rid of. Jisung approached his room and fished for his keys when he felt the prickle at the back of his neck, his palms began to sweat. His ears were flicking like crazy and his heart rate was speeding up. He could feel his mouth fill with cotton and he knew what this was. He could hear unfamiliar voices beyond the door. His instincts knew, inside the room, there was a predator and not ones he was familiar with. His instincts still acted up around Minho but he was familiar enough for it to be easily ignored. Swallowing against the lump in his throat, he unlocked the door and pushed it open.
Jisung was greeted by a loud ringing laughter. There were at least three voices and if his hunch was right, they were all predators. He felt a sweat build, dripping down his temple but Jisung was polite and he didn’t want to seem like one of those irrational preys that were terrified at even the scent of an unknown predator.
He stepped into their shared living room and was greeted by three pairs of eyes on him. More like two pairs, the other pair nearly disappeared behind a smile.
“So you’re the roommate.” Jisung guessed he was some sort of dog. His ears stood to attention and he spied a tail that was thumping lightly on the cushions of the couch. He had a tall build but looked otherwise bored.
“Oh! He’s a hamster!” The one who spoke was sent into another fit of laughter, his ears falling flat as he threw his head back. He looked like a red fox, the fluffy tail hung over the armrest.
“Shut up, you’re scaring him.” Jisung snapped his eyes to Minho, who actually looked pretty embarrassed. He snapped at his two friends, which Jisung wasn’t even aware he had. Not that it was anyone’s fault, Jisung didn’t know why he thought Minho had no friends, of course he did. Jisung wasn’t the only person in his life, that would be dumb.
While he was arguing with himself, he hadn’t noticed that Minho had stood up and had tried approaching but stopped a few feet away, keeping his distance as if he knew Jisung was afraid of him. Which he wasn’t, not really, Minho never gave Jisung a reason to fear him.
“Hey, uh… I didn’t know you’d be back so soon. Sorry, I’ll ask my friends to leave.” The fox piped up in protest which was immediately shot down with one glare from Minho. Jisung realized that this was the most words Minho has ever said to him. He had a softer voice, sort of sing song with a little hint of a lisp? Or maybe… a hiss?
“No! No! It’s okay! I-“ Jisung slapped his mouth with his hands. He didn’t realize he yelled. Minho actually looked surprised before his shoulders relaxed slightly. Jisung cleared his throat and tried his best to look casual.
“Y-you can have friends over. I don’t mind.” Jisung put on his best smile, one he knew endeared to many people. Flashing a gummy heart smile, Minho seemed to be a bit more comforted. He nodded before turning to the two on the couch.
“Guys, this is Jisung. Jisung, this is Seungmin and that’s Jeongin.” Minho pointed at the dog hybrid and the fox respectively. Jisung shyly raised a hand to wave. Jeongin giggled before sprawling once more.
“Minhoo~, you’re roommate’s nice after all. Why don’t you invite us over more often? You’re always at our place, it’s only fair.” Most would think Jeongin was simply whining, but he glanced at Jisung pointedly after ending his statement with a smirk. Seungmin rolled his eyes at his antics while Minho fumed at having been exposed. Jisung on the other hand, was at a loss. He thought Minho was busy with work or school when he wasn’t home but the thought of him staying at his friend’s place to, no doubt, actively avoid Jisung made him more upset than he’d like to admit.
“O-oh, well-“
“See, Jisung doesn’t mind if you have us over. Right, Jisung?” Jisung jumped a little, being directly addressed by Jeongin whose bright eyes were now focused on him. His ears stood to attention, his tail moving side to side. He was about to answer when Seungmin smacked Jeongin’s head.
“Stop being a little shit. Come on, I’m hungry. Sorry for the disturbance, Jisung. And uh, sorry for… him, too.” Seungmin gestured vaguely towards a pouting Jeongin who was rubbing one of his ears dejectedly. He got up, his tail wagging a little before collecting his things and Jeongin. He patted Minho’s shoulder before waving once more to Jisung and the two left, leaving only the strong scent of canine.
An awkward silence settled over the two. Jisung shuffled his feet before glancing at Minho. The other boy was in his usual get up, a long sleeved chunky cardigan that went past his fingertips and a thick pair of joggers. He wore his fluffy house slippers which Jisung was sure was supposed to be a bunny, looking quite worn down. Minho cleared his throat before going over to their supply cabinet and grabbing some aerosol spray. It was mild scented but it was enough to mask the scent left behind. So that’s how Jisung almost never caught the smell of dogs in their home.
It was quiet save for the noise from the spray. Jisung forced himself to move, heading to the kitchen to heat up some water for tea. He might as well, then maybe he can offer some to Minho. He began rummaging through the cabinets for some tea when he spotted something in the sink. In a strainer were a bunch of strawberries. Jisung knew he mentioned it once to Minho, when he was still trying to actively pursue being friends with him. He was trying to get to know him when he asked what his favorite fruit was. They never said anything more about it and Jisung was sure he had forgotten it by now.
“Jisung, um, listen… sorry about them. They’re… well, Jeongin, he’s not used to dealing with… uh…” prey , it was unsaid but Jisung understood. Minho didn’t want to offend by assuming anything, he was sure. Although, Jisung felt his heart race for an entirely different reason, staring at the bowl of washed fruit. He turned and saw Minho hanging by the edge of their breakfast bar, rubbing his neck and avoiding his eyes.
“Minho… are these for you?” Minho blinked, raising his gaze to where Jisung was pointing and spotted the strawberries.
“Oh, no, those are for you. You like strawberries right?” Minho had said it so plainly, cocking his head to the side as if he was confused by the question. Jisung wanted to do something stupid like kiss him. He opted for a safer choice and smiled, nodding. Minho nodded to himself before leaving, heading back to his room. He was so sweet without trying and that was definitely worse for Jisung’s health, more than anything.
It was late evening when Jisung decided to camp out on their couch. The scent was nearly gone but he was still feeling out of sorts from the idea of someone else’s scent all over his things. Hamsters were territorial. So, Jisung had turned on a new horror movie, grabbed popcorn and his fluffy blanket and pillows, and decided to stay up and watch. He had no morning class anyway.
The movie wasn’t too bad, the plot was interesting at least. There were some plot twists but Jisung had seen his fair share of horror movies, he could predict at least 80% of the surprises they would put. He was stuffing his cheeks with popcorn, his fingers covered in butter and he was so focused on the movie, he didn’t hear the creaking noise coming from the rooms. He was curled up with the bowl in his lap and a blanket over his head when he heard a thump, feeling something bump the couch.
Jisung would swear up and down that he didn’t scream that loud but the neighbors would definitely disagree. He jumped so high that most of the popcorn flew everywhere, screaming bloody murder. His pulse skyrocketed as his eyes tried to settle on whatever scared him. With a hand on his chest, he shakily turned to see a figure at the end of the couch. He could easily see in the dark and he realized that it was Minho. The other boy had his eyes half shut, bundled up in an even thicker jacket and wrapped in a blanket. He was rubbing his eyes and Jisung winced, realizing the time.
“Shit, Minho, I’m so sorry.” Jisung quickly paused the movie and removed the blanket off his head.
“Did I wake you? I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to. I’ll just… Minho?” Jisung was about to ramble his apologies when he realized that Minho wasn’t responding. He got up, placing the bowl on the table, and carefully made his way to the other boy. Half his face was bathed in the dim light of the screen and he could see that Minho was actually dozing off standing up.
“Uh, Minho? Are you okay? Did… um, did you need anything?” Jisung held his hands out, as if to catch Minho in case he fell over. This was the closest he had ever gotten to him, an arm’s length away. He was worried something happened to the boy when Minho turned in his direction, still unseeing.
Jisung’s eyes widened when he saw a flash of movement, almost missing it if he wasn't quick enough. It was unmistakably a tongue, flicking out in his direction. Jisung felt his pulse quicken when Minho began moving towards him, his movements slow. He reached Jisung’s hands and he nearly drew back when he realized how cold Minho was. Was he sick? That was probably why he was bundled up. Jisung began to worry when suddenly, Minho pushed past Jisung’s outstretched arms and fell into his chest. Jisung froze. He was definitely not expecting this.
Worried that he fainted, Jisung carefully wrapped his arms around Minho’s shoulders and looked down. The older boy had his face buried in the side of his neck and he was slowly wrapping his arms around Jisung’s waist. A strong pair of arms wrapped around his narrow waist, hands gripping his sides and Jisung made the mistake of inhaling sharply as the arms seemed to tighten. Alarm bells were ringing in his head as the two were almost cuddling while standing up. Jisung was still frozen when Minho let out an albeit cute yawn before nuzzling into his neck. He was definitely not imagining it when he saw a flash of pointed teeth as Minho opened his mouth.
His pulse quickened, heat travelling all the way down his toes. A sweat immediately broke out and the prickle in the back of his neck returned. Jisung held his breath, not knowing if breathing or not breathing would help his situation. He was almost going to pass out but the solid weight of Minho against him reminded him that that would be very painful for the both of them. Jisung could feel the tip of his hands go numb as his ear flicked. The boy Jisung held in his arms was unmistakably one of the most dangerous predators known to his kind, maybe even the top predator of any prey. His roommate, beneath the cuddly sweaters and polite demeanor, was a snake.
Jisung’s mind raced. If Hyunjin was with him now, he was sure the weasel would have screamed his head off or maybe even ripped Minho off him and run away with Jisung in tow. Jisung couldn’t believe the housing committee would set up a natural predator and prey up in a room together, he didn’t want to be that guy but there were some instincts you just couldn’t fight. Jisung was still thinking when he felt Minho put more of his weight on him, getting heavier. He couldn't do much else except collapse into the couch, taking Minho with him. Jisung fell with a grunt, thankfully landing on the pile of blankets he set up. He tried his best to move but Minho seemed to lock his arms and keep him in place. Jisung groaned, this wasn’t exactly what he had in mind when he said he wanted to bond with his roommate.
He tried his best to make Minho comfortable. He tried coaxing him into a better position, nudging his arms and legs onto the couch. After a few more minutes of struggling, Jisung had managed to get most of Minho on the couch. He was sitting up, leaning his back against the armrest while Minho had his face buried in Jisung’s middle with his arms still locked around his waist. He had one leg tucked under him while the other hung over the side of the couch, sock covered toes brushing the floor. Jisung had one leg folded, foot planted on the cushion while the other was crushed under Minho’s body, really it was the best he could do. In spite of the fear that nearly paralyzed him, he was worried. If he was correct, Minho was a snake and therefore, cold blooded. It would explain why he seemed to always be in sweaters and bundled up. He was probably feeling the effects of the cold temperature like Jisung had. They had that in common, both of them tended to be more lethargic when the cold season came.
Jisung brought his hand up carefully and began running his hand through Minho’s soft hair. Like this, he resembled a cat more than a snake. If it were possible, Jisung was sure he’d be purring now. After the initial shock, Jisung began to settle even if his pulse was still quick. He was beginning to sweat but he dreaded having to strip any layers off with Minho on him. He guessed that Minho could sense his heat in the dark, seeking his warmth. Jisung wondered if Minho would cuddle his friends and he felt a pang of jealousy. He quickly dismissed it, he was being a good friend. If Minho needed to cuddle, hugging tight to the point of constricting his breathing, then damn it, he was going to cuddle Minho.
He continued petting Minho’s hair, letting his mind wander. Perhaps Minho’s heating was broken. Did he own a heating lamp? Probably but Jisung made a mental note of finding one, in case Minho was in need. He also made a mental reminder to look up what snakes were like, apart from the scary stuff. Jisung should know enough about Minho’s species, in case he was making Minho uncomfortable. After deciding on a to-do list for the next day, Jisung yawned. The remote was too far away so he couldn’t continue his movie. He wiggled a little, as much as he could with Minho preventing his movements and sighed. He managed to cover most of Minho with his blankets, hopefully he wasn’t feeling too cold and began to doze off.
The sunlight spilled in from the open windows and Jisung groaned, turning his face towards the cushions. A trail of drool rubbed into his cheek and his nose wrinkled at his own morning breath. Sighing, he snuggled against the cushions, wiggling when he realized the weight on him was preventing him from turning. His eyes fluttered open and he felt his heart stop once more. He had forgotten where he was and his head snapped up to see the top of Minho’s head still on his chest. Cursing under his breath, the ache in his neck throbbed, having suffered the position they slept in. Jisung was beginning to sweat under all the layers and he felt his leg begin to tingle. He didn’t want to move or disturb Minho but he always has so much energy in the morning, needing to expend it by taking a jog or moving around.
Jisung was still thinking of ways to pull himself out from under the boy when he heard a hiss. Jisung felt a chill crawl up his spine but he pushed down the oncoming fear, reasoning with himself that this was Minho, there was nothing to be afraid of. Jisung laid perfectly still as Minho began the process of slowly waking up. His fingers unclenched, arms moving underneath his torso. He could feel the change in his breathing as Minho blinked, looking just as confused at his surroundings. He was moving slower than Jisung expected, still feeling lethargic until he turned his face. His nose bumped Jisung’s sternum and no doubt he could practically hear his heart thumping against his chest. Minho froze and Jisung watched with fascination as his tongue flicked out, almost unconsciously.
His gaze swept upward and found Jisung already staring right at him. There was a moment of silence and Jisung almost thought that Minho would simply fall asleep again when he jumped, shrieking. The two flew apart and Minho fell off the couch, landing on the ground with an oof. Jisung was so shocked that he screamed as well, a little less than he did the first time, before crawling to the side of the couch to check on his roommate.
“Shit! Minho, are you okay?” Peering over the armrest, he looked at Minho who seemed shell-shocked. The other boy’s eyes widened and he shot up, staring at Jisung. Jisung gasped audibly without meaning to at the sight of Minho’s eyes. They were bright gold with slits instead of pupils. Jisung was sure he wouldn’t have missed his eyes before so he was shocked to see them for the first time. Minho ducked his head and ran to his room, shutting the door with a loud slam.
Everything happened so fast, Jisung had barely any time to see if Minho was okay. He could hear a faint hissing from his room when he approached. He raised his hand to knock before hesitating. Minho was probably embarrassed, they weren’t exactly close and he had cuddled Jisung out of nowhere. Moreover, Jisung had discovered what he was, a secret he no doubt kept from his roommate due to personal reasons. Jisung backed away and began cleaning up the living room. He decided to bring everything back to his room, leaving Minho’s blanket folded on the couch. He quickly changed clothes, leaving some hot water in case Minho wanted.
There was no indication that Minho would come out of his room any time soon so he cleaned his breakfast up. He shot Hyunjin a text to meet him at the library. Before leaving, he paused staring at Minho’s door. Without really thinking about it, Jisung went to his room and grabbed a thick hoodie from his closet. It was what he usually used during winters and the lining was soft. It was well worn and comfy, hopefully Minho would like it. He left it on top of the blanket with a simple note before grabbing his keys and leaving. Jisung was already a block away when he thought to send Minho a text, in case he was worried that Jisung was mad.
Hope ur feeling better!! U can pick the movie next time!! (^з^)-☆
Jisung winced, sending it quickly before he could second guess himself. The kissy face was a bit much, but he really didn’t want Minho to think he was mad. Maybe they could make it their thing, watching movies and cuddling. Jisung wasn’t exactly opposed, as long as he had hours to mentally prepare himself for how cute Minho looked when he was sleepy.
Jisung jogged towards Hyunjin who was waving at him. He was standing next to somebody he didn’t recognize.
“Hey!”
“Hi! Sorry, I know it’s early.”
“Yeah no shit, you’re buying.” Hyunjin didn’t wait for Jisung to catch his breath, turning on his heel and looping his arm with the other person there. They walked into a student cafe and sat at a booth after Jisung ordered their drinks. He learned that Hyunjin’s new friend was named Felix, a cockatiel. He had a mullet, his feathers long at the back of his head. He seemed nice, smiling sweetly in sympathy when Hyunjin left him to line up. He was in their year but moved from Australia a few years back. He was partnered with Hyunjin in a project and the two have been friends since.
“Thanks for the treat, Jisung.” Felix smiled, hi
“Oh no, it’s fine.” Jisung chuckled before tucking into his iced americano. The three chatted about the usual, their majors and classes when Hyunjin brought up why Jisung needed to see him so early. Jisung took a big gulp, already bracing himself.
“It’s my roommate. He’s… he’s a snake.” The reaction was instant and exactly what he expected from Hyunjin.
“WHAT THE FUCK! HE’S A SNAKE?!” A few heads turned to stare at the commotion and Felix’s feathers were ruffled from the shock. He smiled, waving them away and Jisung shoved Hyunjin to sit back down instead of drawing everyone’s attention to him.
“Chill out! It’s not that big of a deal!”
“What do you mean it’s not a big deal! It’s a huge deal! The biggest deal!” Felix started to laugh, trailing off to a snort when Hyunjin glared at him. He cleared his throat before laying a hand on his arm.
“Jinnie, if Jisung says it’s not a big deal, maybe it really isn’t. They’re roommates, I’m sure he wouldn’t hurt him.”
“Exactly! Thank you, Felix. Besides, if he was gonna do anything to me, then would I still be here?” Hyunjin stared at him like he had just grown a second head.
“That’s not the point! Jisung! He’s a fucking predator! A snake at that! Did you forget his prefered meat is probably a small rodent?” A few tables over, a group of squirrels stared in horror at their table. Their tails bushy and looking entirely upset at what they had overheard from Hyunjin’s screaming. Jisung tried to smile, but the group quickly got up and left.
“Can you calm down! People are staring!”
“And they should! So you can see how fucking weird you’re being about this! You just found out you’re roommate is a fucking predator and what? It’s not a big deal?” Jisung nods, sipping on his drink as he felt an incoming headache. He knew he would react like this but Jisung was sure it would be worse if he hid it from him. Besides, there was another reason he wanted to ask Hyunjin.
“Hyunjin, calm down. Isn’t your roommate a reptile too?”
“Oh my god, don’t remind me.” Hyunjin groaned, slumping over to plant his forehead on the table. They knew very little of Hyunjin’s roommate, Changbin. Hyunjin loathed to admit that he was actually very good-looking, except for the scales that covered his shoulders and back. Shamelessly on display when he walked around their dorm in a tank top. They had tried to guess early on what Changbin was, especially because his yellowish scales had spots. Hyunjin was convinced he was a venomous snake but Jisung didn’t like jumping to conclusions. He did have a rather long, chubby tail that Hyunjin had only seen once when he caught Changbin coming out of the shower one time.
“Do you mean Changbin? I think he’s nice.”
“Felix, you think everyone is nice.” Felix rolled his eyes before smacking Hyunjin.
“Well, I don’t think you’re being very nice right now. I took a class with Changbin once, he’s really sweet. You should be nicer to him.” Jisung chuckled, watching Hyunjin argue in his defense of his fear of reptiles and being eaten while Felix lectured him about stereotyping. He looked out the window and watched the crowds of people pass by. He saw a couple, guessing from their ears, felines, holding hands. He sighed, he told himself that he was perfectly content being single but cuddling with Minho reminded him of how much he missed being able to do that.
“Jisung, you okay?”
“Huh?” Jisung turned back to the table and realized that the other two had been trying to get his attention.
“Yeah, I’m okay. Sorry, I didn’t get enough sleep last night.”
“Oh?” Hyunjin piped up with mild interest, seemingly calm as he stirred his straw.
“Yeah, I ended up staying up late while Minho and I cuddled.” Admittedly, Jisung worded it that way to surprise Hyunjin which worked. The weasel gasped accidentally and began choking on his drink, sending the rest of them into a fit of laughter. Felix was nearly in tears as he patted Hyunjin’s back, still giggling. Hyunjin managed to swear at Jisung, still trying to catch his breath.
“What the fuck do you mean cuddled!” Jisung held his hands up in surrender, stomach hurting from all the laughing.
“Okay, well, it wasn’t exactly planned. I was staying up to watch a movie when Minho appeared. I was scared shitless but it looked as if he was sleepwalking. He kind of collapsed on me and we ended up cuddling on the couch. He was really heavy, okay. It’s not like I could lift him.” And even if he could, he wouldn’t , Jisung thinks to himself.
“And you just let him?”
“Well… yeah! I mean, he was really cold okay. Aren’t reptiles cold-blooded?” Felix nodded.
“Yep, they are. Which is why I think it was sweet of you to do that for him. I’m sure he appreciates it.” Felix smiled, he really did have a way of making things seem better than they were. Jisung’s smile fell before he slumped in his seat.
“That’s just it. When we woke up, Minho looked so shocked, he basically ran back to his room and hasn’t come out.”
“Maybe he’s just embarrassed?”
“Huh, yeah embarrassed that he probably thought about eating you.”
“Hyunjin!” Felix scolded Hyunjin, smacking him again as he whined. Jisung sighed, letting their bickering wash over him. He wonders what Minho was doing right now.
The rest of the day was spent trying to read as much as he could about snakes. He guessed Minho had been hiding his meat somewhere Jisung wouldn’t see. He was always curious if his roommate was vegan or not but the only protein they had was tofu so Jisung assumed. He felt a little light headed thinking about Minho eating meat. The mental image of Minho’s sinking his sharp fangs into a piece of raw, bloody steak sent a chill down his spine for reasons he didn’t want to think about just yet. He picked up some coffee on the way home, a couple of iced americanos that for some reason, Minho still liked to drink despite the cold weather.
He took a couple of deep breaths, steeling his nerves before entering. Jisung wasn’t sure what he was expecting but it definitely wasn’t Minho surrounded by heating lamps with nearly every pillow, blanket and cushion in their dorm in some sort of warm, fluffy nest. The boy in question was watching something on their tv when the door opened, and he whipped his head around to see Jisung staring.
The two stared at each other for a moment. Jisung felt like his heart was going to explode with how soft and cuddly Minho looked, nothing like the snakes he read about in books. The older was wearing the hoodie he had left him over what he guesses is another long sleeved shirt. He scrambled to get up, hissing immediately when the blankets fell away. At the sound, Jisung felt the telltale prickle but he fought against it. Willing his limbs to move, he tried (failed) to casually remove his shoes and drop off his things in the kitchen. Minho watched him, approaching slowly when Jisung thrusted the drink towards him.
“I- uh, I got you coffee… yeah…” Actually, he should have asked Minho first if he even wanted coffee. He looked very comfy and maybe he was trying to sleep, yet here Jisung was with a whole cup of caffeine. Minho, to his surprise, smiled shyly before taking the cup and taking a sip. Their fingers brushed and Jisung fought the instinct to jerk away. They drank in silence, Jisung’s leg jiggling the whole time from the anxious energy. It was a few more moments when Minho put his drink down on their counter and faced Jisung.
“So.”
“So…” Jisung wasn’t sure where they were going with this conversation.
“Do you want me to move out?” That is definitely not where he wanted it to go. Jisung immediately waved at Minho no, the sudden movement making the older boy jerk in surprise.
“NO! No, uh, no… why would-“
“Because, I’m a predator.” That was true, Jisung nodded. Biting his lip, he tried to think of how to phrase his thoughts better when Minho sighed, folding his arms.
“Jisung, you’re not dumb. I know you figured out I’m a snake.”
“What kind?” Minho looked surprised, clearly not expecting Jisung to even care about that detail but he did.
“...a pit viper.”
“Ah” Minho eyed him curiously before clearing his throat.
“Yeah, so I’m sure you don’t want to live with me. Sorry, I didn’t mean to keep it a secret but that doesn’t matter now. I’ll put in my request-“
“What? Request for what?” Jisung cut Minho off, making him look at Jisung weirdly.
“Have you not been listening? I’m going to move out.”
“What? No! I said… I don’t want you to move out Minho.” Jisung noticed how Minho didn’t seem to believe him, distrust all over his face.
“Why not?”
“Well, if anything, I should be the one moving out. You were here first, but like I said, I… I don’t want that.” Jisung wanted to lighten the mood but Minho’s eyes narrowed, trying to figure Jisung out.
“Then what do you want?”
Jisung almost made another stupid decision, like blurting out ‘you’ and outing his embarassing crush to his roommate but he still had self-control. Minho waited for Jisung to answer. What did he want? He knew he definitely didn’t want Minho to move out and he definitely didn’t want to be the one to move out either. Chewing on his lip, Jisung realized he needed to convince Minho he wasn’t afraid and the distance between them was definitely not helping. He took the last few steps until they were an arm’s length apart. Minho had his arms wrapped around him, his guard was still up when Jisung stretched out his arm.
“I just want us to be friends, Minho. I didn’t know what was wrong that night and I got worried you were sick or something. Let’s just agree not to keep any secrets, yeah?”
The rest of the night passed peacefully. Minho retreated back to his nest and Jisung headed to his room to finish some work. Or tried to, but it was hard when all he could think about was a drowsy, most likely cuddly Minho was in the living room watching movies. He stared at his homework, but after a few minutes of reading the same paragraph, he groaned. Jisung turned in his seat, facing his bed. He was feeling the effects of the cold, too. Maybe Minho wouldn’t be opposed to some company, Jisung could keep his hands to himself just fine.
After stripping his bed and fishing the rest of his blankets from his closet, Jisung marched to the living room. Minho paused his drama and turned to see Jisung were bundles of sheets in his arms, staring at him expectantly. Without a word, Minho scooted to the side and lifted his blanket. Jisung took it as an invitation and began dumping his blankets around them, rearranging it. He was feeling pretty good when he settled in the space left for him. Minho unpaused the drama and wordlessly handed him a bowl of strawberries, sipping on his drink. Jisung dug in, the two of them focused on the drama.
It was pretty interesting until Jisung felt himself begin to sweat. He was starting to feel warmer when he noticed that the heating lamps had been turned up. It was crazy to him how Minho barely broke a sweat while Jisung was nearly drowning. He didn’t want him to turn down the heating as Minho was probably in need. He nudged the other boy, making him hum while his eyes were still on the screen.
“Psst, Minho, do you mind if I just…” Minho waved him, not wanting to miss anything. Jisung shrugged and lifted the bottom of his hoodie up. Luckily, he thought to put on a muscle tee under. His head popped out after shaking the jacket off his arms and the blankets around him. He breathed easier and he stuffed the hoodie on the side when he noticed Minho staring.
“Um, sorry, it was just really hot but-! It’s okay, without the hoodie, I’m feeling much better.” Jisung smiled, wrapping the blankets around his shoulder instead. It was odd, having Minho so close to him yet not feel any warmth from his body. Minho was still staring when his tongue flicked out. Jisung swallowed, making sure to keep his eyes on Minho’s eyes and not on his tongue. He read that snakes smell with their tongue, despite the years of evolution, it was still part of Minho. He seemed to have woken up then, turning back to the drama. Jisung forced himself to calm down, it wouldn’t do to have his heart beating so fast or else Minho might think he was afraid.
“D-did… you want to… cuddle?” Minho froze and Jisung could hear a faint hiss. He didn’t want to overstep but he figured that Minho would be too shy to ask for it himself. Not that Jisung wanted it, this was for Minho’s sake not his.
“...we don’t have to. That night… I, uh, one of the lamps broke and I wasn’t in my right mind. Sorry.” Minho’s voice was gruff and stilted. If it were possible, Jisung thinks Minho’s blush would mirror his own from the heat. He was a little sweaty but it wasn’t too bad. He opened his arms and Minho turned to him in horror.
“I don’t mind, promise. You were shivering really bad last time. If I can help, I want to.”
“You… want to? You want to be that close… to me?” Jisung could think of a number of ways where he could be much closer to Minho but he threw those thoughts away. He nodded confidently and smiled, one arm out while he patted his lap. Minho stared at him hard.
“Minho, it’s okay. I don’t mind, I like cuddles.” Jisung put on his best smile, he knew the one Minho definitely couldn’t resist. He watched Minho’s resolve crumble as he curled down and let his arms snake around Jisung’s waist. They rearranged themselves, mirroring the same position Jisung had them in.
Jisung may have made a mistake. In removing his hoodie, he had bared more skin than he intended to. The arms holes in his muscle tee dipped to his mid torso and his shoulders were completely bare. Minho was still in his hoodie but he had his arms squeezing his waist, hands gripping the fabric. Jisung kept his eyes on the screen, letting Minho wiggle around to find a comfortable enough position. He could hear a muffled huff as he squeezed his arms a little tighter, making Jisung grunt. Minho was strong, that much he could tell and he tried not to think a little too hard about that fact. He still had a blanket around his shoulders but he reached over to cover the rest of Minho up with the other sheets.
All in all, it was a very comfortable nest even if it made Jisung sweat a little. Minho didn’t seem to mind as Jisung was like his very own heating pad. He had dug his face into Jisung’s tummy, making him fight back a giggle from the ticklishness. Jisung tried to calm down, doing his best not to think about where Minho’s head was close to. He was focusing on the drama, his ears straining when he felt something on his arm. He felt himself nearly choke, holding his breath as Minho’s tongue flicked out and touched his skin. His mind zeroed in on that point of contact. He could feel his blood nearly vibrating beneath his skin when Minho spoke.
“You’re scared.”
“...no.” Jisung’s mouth was dry as he tried to swallow against the lump in his throat. Minho was only smelling him, that’s all. Minho was simply using his tongue to smell Jisung’s scent. He wasn’t licking him because he wanted to taste him, that’s definitely not what’s happening. Minho made a little noise and began pulling away. In a panic, Jisung leaned his arms over Minho’s back to keep him in place.
“I-I’m not scared, Minho.”
“Your heartbeat would beg to differ.” Minho’s voice was muffled against his shirt which was starting to feel a little damp.
“N-no, just warm. The lamps are really warm.”
“Oh… did you want them off or-“
“No! It’s fine, Minho. You need them and I’m feeling okay, promise.” This seemed to settle Minho. Jisung was still leaning over him, hands planted on his back, and he noticed how much wider Minho’s build was. His waist was thicker than his but it still tapered off to make his shoulders look broad.
“You’re nervous.” Jisung jerked once more when he felt Minho’s tongue flick against his skin.
“I-uh… I guess.” Jisung could feel the vibration against his body when Minho hummed.
“But, you’re not afraid of me?”
“No, I’m really not.” Jisung could answer that confidently. He was really not afraid of Minho, he never gave the hamster a reason to. Aside from his natural instincts, Jisung was really fine in Minho’s presence except when he did that stupid tongue thing.
“I… uh, read about you- I mean! I read about snakes… like you…” Jisung tried to fill in the silence, the air was either extremely warm or thick with tension. Either way, Jisung could feel the back of his shirt soak through. He could feel the way Minho’s back rippled when he let out a chuckle. He pulled back a little and Jisung let his hands fall to the side as Minho lifted his face to him. His eyes were bright, Jisung learned that reptiles tended to wear contacts so their eyes wouldn’t give them away. Jisung hated that, he thought Minho’s eyes were beautiful and it must have been hard to have to wear contacts even at home just to hide from him.
“Oh, you did? And what did you learn about me then?” Minho looked highly amused, supporting himself on his arms and caging Jisung’s lower half. Jisung looked down at him and tried to wrack his brain for some facts he managed to learn, trying to show Minho how much he meant it when he said he wanted them to be friends.
“You, uh, you’re like me! You hibernate when it’s cold.” Minho chuckled, shaking his head.
“No, not hibernate but something like that. My metabolism slows down and I tend to be a little slower and groggier when it’s cold out.” Jisung nodded, remembering how slow Minho’s reflexes were that night. Minho looked at him, cocking his head to the side patiently.
“You smell with your tongue!” As Jisung mentioned it, Minho’s tongue flicked out before drawing back into his smirk. He wasn’t able to stop his eyes from following the movement, only snapping his gaze back guiltily when he realized Minho was watching him.
“Yeah, I do. We don’t really have to anymore but scents are much… sharper with my tongue. It… tastes better, if that makes sense.” Jisung was definitely not thinking about what it meant for Minho to not just smell but also taste his scent. He tried not to look disgusted at how he was probably sweaty and gross beneath Minho.
“Um…”
“Is that all? I’m sure you learned other things, too.” Jisung did, he devoured a couple books on snakes and reptiles in general but his mind was nearly blank in the face of Minho’s hypnotic eyes and the tiny flash of fangs when he spoke.
“I… well…”
“Really, Jisung? You must have learned a lot of things, right? Like the environment I’m used to, my supposed personality… my diet.” Minho had a teasing glint in his eyes, as if he was testing how far he could poke at Jisung until he backed off in fear.
“I… learned you eat meat…”
“Mmm, I am a carnivore. Do you know what snakes typically like to eat?” Jisung felt the cotton fill his mouth. Really, he must look horrible with all the sweat. His pulse began to quicken as Minho’s smirk turned sharp before inching closer. Jisung felt himself lean back, nearly vibrating in the effort of his core keeping him from falling.
“Um, you- I mean, s-snakes like… rabbits, b-birds…” Jisung felt his voice trail off before he could finish as Minho drew closer. The distance between them felt electric, the hairs on his arms were standing as Minho kept his body off of Jisung’s. For some reason, this made it even harder to breath. Minho’s tongue flicked out and Jisung swallowed audibly.
“...a-nd-“
“And tiny… little rodents… like… you.”
Jisung fell completely back as his heart rate shot up, his chest rising and falling rapidly as Minho whispered every word with a hiss. When he fell, eyes wide, Minho suddenly drew back and began to laugh. Louder than he had ever heard him laugh before. He was clutching his belly, laughing with tears in his eyes. Jisung felt a flush of embarrassment after realizing that Minho had been teasing him. He kicked at Minho but to no avail, as Minho continued to cackle.
“It’s not that funny!”
“Yes it is! You looked so scared! I bet you thought I was gonna eat you.” Minho was still gasping for air as he wiped his tears. Jisung pouted, kicking a few more times before folding his arms. After Minho calmed down, he began cooing at Jisung, coaxing him from his not-really-there anger.
“Aww, Jisung, come on, I was just kidding.”
“... I know. Besides, some of those books are outdated anyway. Some of it probably doesn’t even apply anymore, evolution and what not.”
“I mean, you’re right but then again, some still do.” Minho nodded next to him, his smile still hadn’t faded as he sipped his drink. Jisung thinks he likes that smile on him, even if it was at his own expense.
It was true, what he said. Some books were considered outdated as hybrids adapted more to modern society. Biology facts and anatomy books were constantly being updated. Jisung took a long swig from his cup, trying very, very hard not to think about a particular anatomical fact about snakes. He took a deep breath, fanning himself with his short and very pointedly did not ask to verify whether or not that certain fact was still true.
“Hey, if you’re feeling hot, I can turn one of the heating lamps off.” Jisung turned and noticed Minho was fiddling with the strings of his hoodie. Try as he might, he still couldn’t suppress the shiver that came from the idea of shutting off one of the heat lamps. Jisung smiled, deciding to put him out of his misery.
“It’s okay, Minho, really. You might just have to deal with cuddling a sweaty hamster if you’re up for it.” Jisung joked, watching Minho’s cheeks turn pink.
“...yeah, I’m still up for it.” Minho put his drink back on the table before turning back to their forgotten tv. He put on a random animated movie before pulling the sleeves back over his hands.
Jisung suppressed the urge to coo at the sight of his surprisingly small hands disappearing into the sleeves of his hoodie. He moved around again, trying to find a comfortable position, he did not want a repeat of that stiff neck. Once he found a good spot, he opened his arms and let Minho shyly nudge his way back to his chest. He lifted his back a little and let Minho’s arm wrap around his middle. They cuddled as they watched the film, Jisung absent-mindedly petting Minho’s hair. It was nice despite the dampness on his back, next time, they’ll have to work something out.
They made it into an unspoken routine and Jisung was starting to look forward to the cold weather because it meant Minho needed a cuddle buddy and Jisung was perfectly happy being a glorified heating pad. Did it help that because of this, the two had started to become friends? Absolutely. Did becoming Minho’s friend and seasonal cuddle buddy worsen his feelings for him? Absolutely, yes.
They realized that they had more in common than most but they still didn’t hang out outside their dorm, a fact Jisung was still trying to change. He needed to find a way to get him to join them without scaring his friends and what better way than through a mutual friend. A mutual friend in the form of Felix’s cattle dog boyfriend, Chan who coincidentally was Minho’s old roommate. It took a little bit more convincing for Hyunjin but Jisung gave him several chances to back out, going back and forth until hours before and Hyunjin yelled at him to get his order right. Jisung was nervous. He wanted his friends to like Minho and he wanted Minho to like them. He didn’t want to think about how this was like introducing his boyfriend because they were definitely not that, just roommates.
He fidgeted in his seat when Hyunjin kicked his shin to get him to stop. He spaced out while Hyunjin had been making yet another conspiracy theory on what his roommate could be instead of doing the normal thing and just asking. Jisung had reminded him of that option, multiple times and he has yet to do so. He made sure to get both menus for the table, unsure if Minho or Chan would prefer meat. His phone buzzed and he quickly checked to see who it was from.
Running late. :P
Jisung bit his lip. Minho wouldn’t lie to him and flake, right? He was overthinking this. Minho was running late because of class, not because he was dreading hanging out with Jisung in the real world. He quickly replied, making sure to sound just as enthusiastic.
Boo, just skip!! I’ll buy you coffee. (づ≧◡≦)づ
Sure, bribing was bad but he just wanted to make sure Minho wouldn’t change his mind last minute. He didn’t receive a reply so he tuned back to what Hyunjin was saying when Felix and Chan had arrived. Jisung waved them over and Hyunjin jerked a little at the sight of Chan's teeth when he smiled. He was broad, shorter than Felix but clearly more built. He seemed very sweet but Jisung noticed how Chan hadn’t let go of Felix since they came in, moving his chair so close that they had virtually no space between their elbows.
“So, Jisung, you’re Minho’s new roommate?” Jisung snapped out of his thoughts and quickly nodded before even registering the question.
“Ah yeah! It’s been fun, Minho is very nice.” Chan chuckled, stretching his arm to the back of Felix’s chair.
“Yeah, he is. Don’t let his scowl fool you, he’s a sweetheart.” Hyunjin let out a little snort of disbelief, shaking his head.
“Sure, especially since now, he’s buttering Jisung up to eat him.” Jisung shot Hyunjin a glare, he hoped the weasel wouldn’t make comments like that when Minho was around. He didn’t want to upset him. Chan only laughed, leaning his head into Felix’s neck.
“I gotta say, we were kind of surprised they’d stick a prey in there with Minho when I moved out.” His voice was slightly muffled, his tail wagging as his face was buried in Felix’s neck.
“There was a mix-up and I had no choice… but! I’m glad I got to room with Minho, it kinda worked out in the end.” He rubbed his neck, feeling his ears twitch slightly. It did work out eventually, they were friends now.
“Glad you think so, Minho needs more friends.”
“Well he has a pair of canines? One’s a fox and the other is a dog, I think. They live in our building but I’ve only seen them once.” Felix perked up at this, making Chan whine when he moved away to lean towards Jisung across the table.
“A fox? Do you mean Jeongin?”
“Yes! And the dog was Seungmin, do you know them?”
“Yeah! They’re my roommates. Although I'm rarely there, I’m usually with Channie.” He smiled brightly, patting his boyfriend on the head. The cutlery nearly fell off with the force of Chan’s tail thumping against the table. Felix laughed, pushing Chan’s face away a little when he began nuzzling. Hyunjin made a puking face and Jisung stifled a laugh.
“Seungmin’s gonna be so mad you called him a dog.” Felix snickered. Jisung was confused, if he wasn’t then what was he? Sensing the obvious confusion, Felix clarified.
“He’s a dingo! But lots of people think he’s a dog. It's a bit of a sore subject.” Ah, Jisung knew that. Lots of people would get his species wrong but he didn’t really care that much now.
The table was filled with idle chatter, drinks being served when Jisung felt a pair of hands cover his eyes. He nearly jumps out of his skin when he hears a voice close to his ear.
“Guess who?”
His heart rate shoots up until he recognizes the voice. Willing his heart to calm down, Jisung whines before prying Minho’s hands off him. He’s definitely not thinking about the way Minho’s voice sounds pitched low and close to his ear. He wonders if he imagined the fleeting touch of his tongue on his lobe.
“You scared me! I almos-“
Whatever Jisung wanted to say disappeared when Minho came into view. Belatedly, he realizes that this is his first time seeing Minho dressed up, instead of his usual cardigans. Jisung isn’t sure why he’s that surprised, he always assumed Minho dressed exclusively in thick sweaters but then again, it was Minho.
He was in a thick white turtleneck and a leather jacket with lining and a giant brown fleece long coat. It was the only familiar thing on him, similar to the oversized fluffy cardigans he always wore. His eyes looked normal and his hair was slicked back, styled to show his forehead. Jisung felt extremely underdressed and this was just a normal day. Minho looked insanely good, slim pants hugging his thick thighs. He quirked his eyebrow when he noticed Jisung checking him out. He cleared his throat and Jisung’s gaze snapped up to meet his, a knowing glint in his eyes. The tension was broken when Chan noticed Minho.
“MINHO!” The dog launched himself and Minho nearly fell over when Chan hugged him, his tail wagging excitedly.
“Hey, Channie. It’s been a while huh?” Minho looked annoyed but fond, patting Chan. Felix smiled, shaking his head at his boyfriend’s behavior before pulling him away. Chan whined but was immediately sated when Felix turned his head back to his neck. Minho chuckled, brushing his clothes before leaving his coat on the chair. He sat next to Jisung who was trying his best to focus on his face, which arguably wasn’t better.
“Felix.” Minho nodded before stealing Jisung’s drink and taking a sip. Jisung didn’t protest, still stuck in a daze.
“Hi, Minho! It’s been so long. I didn’t even know you had a new roommate already.” Jisung seemed to zone back in then, looking at the two.
“Wait, you know each other?”
“Yeah, who do you think introduced them?” Felix nodded, petting Chan’s leg.
“I was on the dance team when Chan visited Minho, and that’s when we met.” Jisung made a little ‘oh’ before taking back his drink. He was about to sip when Hyunjin kicked him hard under the table.
“Ow! What the fuck was that for?”
“Your drink, dumbass! He drank from it.”
“So what?”
“So, you can’t drink from it!” Jisung was visibly confused and a little annoyed at Hyunjin who was staring at him as if he were dumb. He didn’t understand why he was embarrassing him like this in front of Minho when the older boy plucked the cup from him. Jisung watched as Minho’s eyes narrowed slightly, tongue flicking out before taking a sip while staring pointedly at Hyunjin.
“Oh, because he’s afraid you’ll die, Jisung. Haven’t you heard? I’m venomous.” Minho was smirking but he could tell there was a little bitterness in his tone, the word ending with a low hiss that made Hyunjin visibly jump.
“What? Why would I die? You would never hurt me, Minho.”
“Does he know that?” Minho hadn’t taken his eyes off of Hyunjin, fingers gripping the cup. Jisung was afraid it would shatter in his hands. To his credit, Hyunjin looked ashamed, fidgeting in his seat.
The table was quiet, save for the low hissing that came from Minho. It set them on edge. Chan’s ears laid flat, his tail hanging limp. There was a growl he was trying to surpress. Felix was gripping his hand, in an effort to help him. Jisung felt the prickle in the back of his neck come back, goosebumps exploding all over his skin. Minho was leaning over in his space as Hyunjin sat across from Jisung. Hesitantly, he flexed his fingers before placing it on Minho’s shoulder.
“Minho, he’s just being dumb…” Minho shrugged him off, before moving back to sir properly.
“It’s whatever. Just so you know, it’s not involuntary okay? It’s not like I go around poisoning people.” Minho folded his arms and turned away. Jisung had his hand on his arm, trying to placate his anger. This meeting was not going how he wanted it to.
The rest of the meal was a little tense but luckily, Felix’s bubbly personality was able to dispel most of the tension. Hyunjin left after stuttering an apology and Jisung groaned thinking about how much this meeting probably set back whatever progress he had with Minho. They didn’t see each other the rest of the day. That was probably for the best, Jisung would have gotten into way more accidents with his eyes unable to leave Minho the whole time.
He braced himself as he neared their dorm, coffee in hand in case. Jisung opened and was greeted by a blast of hot air.
“Fucking- Minho? Shit, it’s so hot.” Jisung felt sweat pool on his temples, armpits and even the back of his knees as he was still bundled up from outside. He set the coffee down, stuffing them in the fridge in case they melted. He shrugged off his coat and took off his jacket. He was left in pants and a long sleeve but it was still hot. Minho exited the bathroom and Jisung sighed in relief. He looked like he usually did, dressed down in casual wear. He was wearing Jisung’s hoodie and a pair of baggy sweats with socks. He looked surprised to see him there.
“Jisung? Oh, I’m sorry. It must be so hot, wait-“ Minho quickly made his way to one of the heating lamps, it glowed red and Jisung could see the heat waves emanating from it. He fanned himself, reaching out to stop Minho before thinking twice about touching the older boy with sweaty palms.
“It’s okay! You need it more. I’ll be fine.”
“Jisung, you look like you just dumped a bucket of water on you.”
“I’ll be fine. I’ll just change into something more appropriate.” He waved Minho’s concern off. He was glad that there didn’t seem to be any bitterness left from earlier.
Rummaging through his closet, he picked out something to wear. He was also affected by the cold weather, lethargic feeling seeping into his bones but he was also greeted by what felt like a summer heat wave in his own home. He settled for a light button down and some long shorts. He grabbed his things and went to the bathroom, noticing Minho sipping on the drink he had brought and facing the tv. After a refreshing shower, Jisung pulled on the polo, leaving the middle button close while the rest were open. He could feel the heat crawl from under the door. He made sure to rub on some deodorant and left the bathroom, hair still damp.
“Hey Minho, are you sure the neighbors won’t complain? I think the heat might seep into the walls.” Jisung was drying his hair when Minho turned. He rolled his eyes before turning to fully face him when he froze. Minho was kneeling against the backrest, hands hidden by the sleeves while Jisung stood by the door, waiting for a response. Belatedly, he realized Minho wasn’t looking at his face but at his chest which was a little pink from the heat and exposed. He flushed from embarrassment but resisted the urge to cover up because he'd be damned if he let Minho pass up the opportunity to check him out so shamelessly.
Minho’s gaze trailed from his chest to the sliver of stomach that was exposed down to his legs. His tongue flicked out unconsciously. Jisung swallowed, knowing that his clothes might already be sticking to his damp skin. He coughed and Minho’s eyes snapped up to his, bright and golden.
“Um, Minho…?” Minho hummed, clearly not listening. Jisung hid his smile behind his hand at how droopy Minho’s eyes were. Clearly the cold was still getting to him. Jisung stifled a laugh as he watched Minho stumble off the couch and groggily make his way to him. The older dragged his feet, swaying like a drunkard until he almost tripped and fell into Jisung’s arms. Jisung was prepared at least, grunting a little under his weight.
“Oh my g- Minho, wait, let’s… let’s move to the couch yeah?” Jisung was trying to rearrange Minho in his arms but the snake was almost dead weight against him. He was struggling slightly, Minho’s face was smushed against his chest. He patted his cheeks to keep him from falling asleep standing up. Jisung was still trying to help him stand when he felt his arms begin to tighten. He coughed a little at the sudden constricting feeling when Minho seemed to gain a bit more consciousness, or maybe not as Jisung thinks Minho wouldn’t be this forward if he were fully aware.
Jisung couldn’t even twist in Minho’s hold and he held his breath. He read that snakes tighten around their victims when they exhale and he didn’t want to test the limits of his ribcage. Helpless against his hold, Jisung yelped when Minho lifted him effortlessly and made his way back to the couch. He felt a swooping feeling in his stomach at the sudden show of strength. Jisung held on tight until he was unceremoniously thrown onto the couch. He only had a moment to catch his breath when Minho was on him, coiling around him. Arms snaking around his torso and thighs locking around his legs, Jisung could feel a faint vibration against his chest and he guessed it was coming from Minho.
Lifting his head, he noticed Minho’s eyes were shut. His arms seemed to stop tightening and he let out a shaky breath. Unfortunately, he was now free to deal with the unfortunate situation he has found himself in. Lying completely awake underneath a snake boy that seemed intent on using him as a heating pad, clearly taking no mind to the growing issue in his shorts caused by his effortless show of strength. Jisung tried to breath, thinking of other things that did not involve very strong thighs squeezing his hips. He still felt a little worry, Minho seemed clingier than before. Maybe the chill really got to him today. Pulling his arms from under him was a challenge but he managed after a little wiggling. He sighed, letting his hands rest a little above Minho’s head. He let his fingers run through Minho’s unstyled hair, fluffy and loose.
After a little while, Minho stirred. He yawned, jaw unhinging to expose very sharp fangs dangerously close to Jisung’s tummy. His soft, fragile tummy that could easily be pierced by his fangs like butter. Minho’s mouth could open quite wide and his fangs were long, based on the skeletons in the book Jisung read, they were probably longer than they seemed. He could feel his heart race, spread warmth all over his body. This made Minho snuggle deeper into his chest, nose turned towards his diaphragm.
His mind hadn’t left the conversation from earlier. Minho confirmed that yes, he was classified as a venomous snake. It meant that his venom paralyzed his victims, rendering them powerless against him. Nowadays, the effects aren’t as bad in human form although in huge doses, it could still cause death. Jisung felt it once. Really, it was his fault.
They were both home, Jisung assumed, when he saw two identical cups on the counter. Back then, he didn’t know what Minho was. Carelessly, he grabbed the cup closest to him and drank without thinking that it didn’t belong to him. The effects were slow but he had felt his lips tingle. His tongue went a little numb and he found himself dizzy. When he laid down, he was so out of it, he didn’t realize that his vision had gone hazy. He tried to move his fingers but it was like his limbs no longer listened to his brain. He was sweating, feeling only a mild tingle from his toes. Looking back, Jisung thinks that he was probably paralyzed from the tiny bits of venom left in the cup that Minho drank from. His body flushed it out thankfully, he woke up after and felt a massive hangover. When he checked the kitchen, Minho had cleaned up and left a note about having leftover cheesecake in the fridge. Jisung sighed, smiling down at the boy cuddling him. That was probably Minho’s way of apologizing to him, even if it was Jisung’s stupidity to blame.
Jisung tried not to think about what it would mean if Minho’s venom came straight from his mouth, injected right into his blood. Would he be able to move? To struggle? He’d be completely paralyzed and Minho could have his wicked way with him. Jisung blinked back the sweat dripping from his forehead into his eye, his thoughts racing from the idea of letting Minho have his way with him. That wasn’t healthy right? He was prey, he should be afraid of being rendered defenseless against Minho. And yet, despite the fear there was a simmer heat that seemed to lick up his spine at the thought of Minho taking him. He wouldn’t hurt him, not really. If anything, Minho would just end up feeling guilty for even accidentally doing anything to Jisung. He was nice and he didn’t want to hurt him or make Jisung fear him.
His fingers twitched, running through Minho’s hair before letting it slip down to his neck, fingertips brushing the collar of the hoodie. Against his better judgement, he let his fingers slip into the jacket and he had to hold back a gasp when he realized Minho was shirtless underneath. He let his hand wander, disappearing under the hoodie when he felt it. It was smooth, a little hard like a fingernail and clustered together. It was his scales. Jisung realized that he had yet to see what Minho’s scales looked like.
Unlike Changbin, Minho’s didn’t show up on his face or neck. Jisung hasn’t seen his bare arms or legs though so he guessed that maybe Minho had some scales there too. He slipped his hand further into the jacket, careful to not wake the sleeping boy and felt the broad expanse of Minho’s back. There was obvious muscle there, a hidden strength underneath those layers of fluffy sweaters. From this angle, he could reach his upper back but that was fine. Minho wasn’t even sweating, his skin cool to the touch under the heat of his palm. He should be a little bit more embarrassed of his wandering hands but Minho hadn’t stirred and Jisung’s brain was getting a little fuzzy, not entirely conscious of his actions.
He let his fingers dance across the cluster of scales on Minho’s skin, wanting more than anything to see the way they looked in the light when Minho shifted. Jisung froze, his heart rate began to race at the thought of getting caught with his hand in Minho’s hoodie but the older boy didn’t seem to care. His tongue flicked out, making Jisung’s stomach twitch and he nuzzled into his belly. Jisung had to stifle a laugh at the ticklish feeling, his sharp nose digging into his belly when Minho yawned again. Only this time, he was facing Jisung’s belly.
Jisung watched with wide eyes as Minho’s nose scrunched cutely, contrasting the deadly fangs that were revealed. He sucked in his stomach best he could but Minho had opened his mouth wide, moving his head a little bit back and the arch of his fangs framed the middle line of his abs. There was a moment where time seemed to freeze. Jisung unconsciously gripping Minho’s bare shoulder, nails digging into his back as the end of Minho’s fangs dipped very lightly into his skin. It was a soft touch, like a needle against a pillow but Jisung could see the dip of his skin, giving way to the sharp point of Minho’s fangs. He noticed the nearly invisible string of saliva connecting the upper and lower halves, watching it snap and drip onto his skin. He let himself imagine it was Minho’s venom, dripping on his skin and letting it absorb into his pores. Logically, Jisung knows that’s not how it worked but this wasn’t the time for rational thinking. His eyes followed the little trail it left as it dripped down his side, disappearing into the cushions.
“You… truly have a death wish, don’t you?”
Jisung was sure that if he didn’t die of cardiac arrest then, he would now. He nearly jumps out of his own skin at Minho’s voice. He could feel the vibrations from his chest and instinctively, clenched his hand and dug his fingers into the meat of his shoulder. He still had one hand in Minho’s hair and immediately dropped it at the sound of his voice. Minho’s lips brushed his stomach as he spoke, fangs still lightly brushing his skin. He wondered how that long set of sharp teeth fit in his mouth, surely it was difficult to speak or eat sometimes. Jisung brought his wandering mind back to the conversation after being silent for a few minutes.
“I-I… no…” That wasn’t really helpful but higher brain function left Jisung the moment Minho picked him up like he weighed next to nothing. Minho seemed amused at his answer, lips curling into a smile. His eyes were still shut and his long lashes fanned over his cheeks as he spoke into Jisung’s skin.
“No?” Jisung felt the puffs of breath against his damp skin and began to mentally berate his past self for thinking wearing such a flimsy top was a good idea. Minho chuckled under his breath, his fingers spread wide against Jisung’s back.
“Perhaps not… you don’t seem too scared to touch me while I sleep. Or are you too afraid to do it while I’m awake?” Jisung winced, almost drawing his hand back like he was burned from where it was laying against Minho’s back. But if he drew back now, then it would really seem like Jisung was trying to hide something and there was really no point in pretending now. Minho’s eyes were still shut and Jisung was glad for small mercies. He doesn’t know what would happen if Minho’s knowing gaze was directed at him, afraid his face would give away all his thoughts.
“N-no, I was jus-“
“Just what? Curious? What about Jisung?”
Minho’s eyes fluttered open then and Jisung tried to swallow against the lump in his throat. Really, this was getting to be too much and small rodents like him were known to die from their hearts going half the speed Jisung’s was at right now. Minho lifted himself slightly, any trace of grogginess gone from his eyes. His eyes were bright and attentive, taking in every detail. He should be scared from the small slits but it seemed more fitting for Minho’s eyes to look like this, a pair of gems shining on his face. Minho still wore the slight smirk, cocking his head side to side as if taking Jisung in, in every angle. He could feel his gaze searching, for what, Jisung wasn’t sure. His chest was off of Jisung now, leaning his weight on his elbows as his arms stayed wrapped around Jisung’s torso.
“Just… I wanted-“ Jisung was trying to speak against a heavy tongue, Minho’s gaze heavy as it focused on him. His mouth filled with cotton and he felt significantly out of breath.
“Wanted what? What do you want, Jisung?”
And wasn’t that the million dollar question. What did Jisung want? He wasn’t even sure himself, he didn’t know what he was allowed to want. Sure, he wanted to be friends with Minho and he wanted Minho to be okay the first few times they did this. But over time, he just wanted to be able to get close with the older boy. Cuddling and hanging out was fun, his company was enjoyable. Did Jisung want more? Maybe. Probably, but that was weird, wasn’t it? He should be terrified of Minho, maybe he was a little bit but definitely not enough to want to be away from him.
Jisung wasn’t like other hamsters. He liked horror movies and big cities. He loved feeling the adrenaline rush that left his heart racing and his finger tingling. He didn’t care about whether or not his roommate was a lethal predator, maybe he did but not for the reasons one should. Jisung knew Minho was still careful with him. After all the time they spent together, Minho was still afraid of pushing too far and scaring Jisung away. He was only less self-conscious when the cold hit and he got lethargic. This teasing was more than anything they had ever done or Jisung thought they would ever do. He thinks he likes this Minho, the one that smirked dangerously and teased him. The one that didn’t hold back his strength or fangs, going as far as pressing them against Jisung’s skin. He liked this Minho because he was reckless and didn’t treat him like some tiny prey that would run the moment he dropped his fangs. Jisung knew Minho was still a little afraid he was going too far and he decided that he would do anything to dispel that nonsense fear.
Jisung sucked in a deep breath, looking into Minho’s eyes. Flexing his fingers against the smooth scales of his back before answering.
“I want to see you.” Minho’s eyes narrowed then, like he wasn’t sure if Jisung meant what he said.
“...are you sure?” His hushed tone betrayed Minho’s earlier confidence. His eyes fell, looking pointedly everywhere else besides Jisung’s face. He was a little comforted to know that he wasn’t the only one feeling embarrassed.
“Of course I’m sure, Minho. If it’s okay with you.” Jisung let his hand brush against his back one last time before drawing it back, slipping it out from inside the hoodie. He looked earnestly at Minho looking away until he glanced at him. He nodded wordlessly before peeling himself off.
Jisung would mourn the loss of his weight against him but then Minho straightened up, sitting on Jisung’s thighs and grabbed the edge of the hoodie. He took one last look at Jisung, as if gauging whether or not Jisung was backing out. Jisung smiled, placing his hands on Minho’s knees comfortably. That seemed to comfort Minho as he stripped off the hoodie with a flourish, letting land on the pile of blankets on the floor. Jisung couldn’t hold back the gasp as he took in Minho’s newly exposed skin.
He was right, most of Minho’s scales were littered across his chest and collarbones, some clustered on his middle and dipping down his waist to his hips. They were on his shoulders, crawling down his biceps to his forearms. Jisung guessed that there was more on his back. He leaned up against his elbows and gaped at Minho, his scales seemed to catch the light. They were reddish brown in color and seemed to glow against the light from the lamps. Jisung was mesmerized at how the lights danced on it and he didn’t realize that his hand had reached out. He nearly drew back when Minho grabbed his wrist.
“I’m sorr-“
“It’s okay, you can… touch.” Minho let him go, letting his arms fall limply to his side. Jisung lifted himself up, and hesitantly reached out.
His skin was cool to the touch. His fingers traced the scales that coiled around his waist down to his hip bone. He let his eyes follow as his fingers moved to touch Minho’s arms, the scales gradually increased in size as he went further up to his shoulder. There were clusters on his chest and stretched across his collar bone. They were smooth to the touch. Jisung felt Minho shift above him as he continued to poke and prod at the scales. He could feel the weight of his stare boring into his head, as if daring Jisung to recoil in disgust or fear. But Jisung felt none of those things, the scales were beautiful. He hated the fact that Minho hid them under his clothes, probably so that people didn’t fear him like the way he hid his eyes with contacts.
Before he gave into another stupid urge like kiss then or worse, lick them. Jisung cleared his throat before pulling away, finally looking up at Minho.
“Your scales… they’re beautiful.” Minho huffed a laugh, looking away bashfully.
“Yeah… I know.” Jisung scoffed, even like this Minho was still cocky but at least that meant he wasn’t uncomfortable. He leaned against Jisung’s thighs, eyeing Jisung curiously.
“Did you want to see my back, too?” Jisung bit his lip before shaking his head. Minho shrugged before stretching, his arms above his head. Jisung had to physically stop himself from gaping at how Minho’s body rippled, the scales catching the light. Minho smirked before letting his arms back down.
“Okay, so are we good-“
“Can I touch your fangs?”
Jisung wanted to punch himself right now. Just one solid hit, that would be great except Minho might beat him to it. He said it in one breath without thinking and Minho looked at him blankly. There was really no way around what he said. He was definitely overstepping boundaries? Who in their right mind would let someone’s grubby hands in their mouth? Jisung felt the urge to punch himself again when he watched the blank stare morph into amusement. Minho’s eyes crinkled as his lips curled, his shoulders shaking a little as his giggles bubbled up out his chest.
“You want to what? Touch my…” Minho began to laugh, failing to stifle it. Jisung felt himself pout as Minho laughed at his expense but then again, at least he wasn’t freaked out.
“Just! Just forget about it. It’s dumb.”
“No, no, I- hah… it’s okay. It’s okay, I’ll you stuff your fingers… in my mouth-“ Minho collapsed into a fit of giggles, falling backward. He was clutching his stomach, laughing at the ridiculousness of Jisung’s request. Jisung on the other hand, drew his knees closer and folded his arms, still pouting.
“Aww, Jisung. Don’t be upset.” Minho lifted his head, drying tears from his eyes. He was nudging Jisung’s knees with his foot but Jisung resolutely refused to look at him.
“I’m not upset.” He was, but he didn’t actually mean it. Jisung was a little embarrassed but like he said before, it was okay as long as Minho was happy. He was whining a little while Minho kept nudging him, cooing at him to get him to not be mad.
“Jisungiee~, come onn, don’t be upset. I’ll let you touch my fangs. Come here, come onn.” Jisung grunted, moving a little away as Minho was more or less kicking at his legs. He spared a glance and there he was, slouching shirtless against the armrest, looking entirely too gleeful at Jisung’s shame. Once he noticed Jisung’s eyes on him, he switched his smirk to a pout, looking way too cute for the situation at hand. He noticed how the tips of his fangs peeked out, pressing into his plush lower lip and he wonders how Minho doesn’t accidentally cut himself. Sighing, he accepts defeat and tries his best to keep calm when he faces Minho.
“You’re too far, come heree. I’m getting cold, come.” Minho was gesturing, arms waving wildly while he stayed lying down. Jisung didn’t think Minho meant that Jisung would get on top of him. Sure, Minho had done that but that was fine with Jisung. The opposite was a little too unnecessary in his opinion.
“Y-you come here. Get up, you lazy noodle.” Jisung crossed his arms after nudging at Minho’s leg. The older boy narrowed his eyes at him and Jisung is starting to regret ever opening his mouth.
“You’re the one who asked. I’m doing you a favor but you’re telling me to get up?” Minho looked entirely too self satisfied as Jisung grumbled. He took a deep breath before crawling up to sit on Minho’s lap. He held onto the backrest for support and settled on Minho’s thighs.
Jisung knew he was flushing bright red, his polo seemed way too open and his shorts rode up his thighs with his knees on either side of Minho. The older boy didn’t seem to mind, smiling slightly before leaning his head back against the armrest. He had his hands folded neatly over his chest and opened his mouth wide, revealing his long sharp fangs. Jisung felt dizzy. Instinctively, fear wrapped around his heart and he felt his limbs lock. His pulse was quick, blood rushing all the way down his toes. Minho looked like the picture of serenity, with his head leaning back and mouth wide. He tried not to focus on the lewdness of his position and breathed through the fog that threatened to overtake his mind. Minho seemed content to let Jisung take things at his own pace.
After a while, Jisung had one hand on the armrest next to Minho’s head for support as he leaned over. Truthfully, he was interested in his fangs. After seeing x-ray like pictures of it, he wanted to see if the whole length of it really fit in his mouth. Jisung leaned close to Minho’s open mouth and he noticed Minho clenching his fist. Perhaps resisting the urge to snap his mouth shut. He breathed deeply to steel his nerves before cautiously reaching a finger out. Jisung felt it brush against the pad of his index finger and a shiver ran down his spine. He felt Minho tense beneath him, almost vibrating as he kept still while Jisung brushed his finger on Minho’s sharp teeth.
It was smooth, a few ridges and he could tell where the venom would be injected. He brushed his finger again until he reached the sharp point. He felt that haze come back, a sort of hypnotic pull that seemed to come naturally from Minho. Jisung pushed against the point slightly, watching it dip into the callous on the pad of his fingertip. It was probably sharp enough to draw blood. What would happen then? Would Minho acquire a taste for hamsters? For Jisung’s blood? He’s heard of predators going feral, would it be the same for Minho? Would he inject poison into Jisung’s bloodstream? Rendering him helpless but not enough to knock him out. Did Minho want him fully conscious if he decided to… what? Eat him? Rip him apart? Swallow him whole? Did snake hybrids even do that anymore?
Lost in the haze of his thoughts, Jisung hadn’t realized he was pressing harder until a sharp pain exploded from his hand. Minho seemed to snap out of it as well, eyes wide and he ripped Jisung’s hand off him, snapping his mouth shut with a hiss. Jisung could feel the burn lick up his arm, a fire spreading quickly. He whimpered, it didn’t hurt that much but the suddenness of it took him by surprise. Minho wrenched his wrist to him and Jisung watched through teary eyes as he squeezed his finger. He watched a drop of blood fall turning into more as Minho squeezed harder. He looked frantically at Jisung, cold palm cradling his face as he looked into his eyes. Jisung wanted to tell him he was okay but the sound of his blood rushing in his ears muffled everything as his mouth filled with cotton.
“Jisung! Jisung! Fuck, you’re so stupid! Oh my god, stay awake. Jisung, stay awake!” Minho was slapping at his round cheeks and Jisung fought against the creeping darkness to listen to Minho. He needed to stay awake. He didn’t like the panic tone in Minho’s voice and he tried reaching out to tell him it was okay when he found that he couldn’t move his right arm. Grunting, he tried again and realized that it felt mostly numb.
“M-min…”
“Jisung, oh my god. It’s okay, you’re okay. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” Jisung thinks distantly that Minho was saying this to himself as Jisung didn’t feel too worried. He began to breathe a little easier when his heart settled and realized that it was mostly blind panic that threatened to take him under. He still felt a little foggy but he thinks that it was mostly fear that sent his poor heart into overdrive. He tries to communicate as much to Minho but the older boy kneeled next to the couch, their only point of contact was him holding Jisung’s hand.
It took a few more minutes before the haze began to settle. Jisung blinked a little slow, lifting his head to see Minho had moved away from the couch. He was curled up close to one of the heating lamps at the edge of their coffee table. His head was resting on the table, hood up and a blanket wrapped around his shoulders that looked suspiciously like Jisung’s. He groaned, rubbing his eyes and realized that he still couldn’t move one arm. The sound makes Minho jolt but other than that, he hadn’t moved. Sighing, he looks over to where Minho was sitting probably cold on the floor.
“Minhoo… Minho, come here. You’re too far, you big noodle.” Mimicking Minho’s earlier turn of phrase, Jisung let his hand hang by the side of the couch. He contemplated chucking a slipper at the older boy when he shifted, lifting his head a little to look at Jisung. His chin resting on the table, with the hood and blanket over his head, he looked like the most harmless thing on the planet. Jisung smiled softly, trying to coax Minho to come to him.
“Minhoo, I’m cold. Come here, don’t be sad. I’m fine, see?” He put on his best smile and Minho continued to blink at him. He sighed, this is exactly what he didn’t want to happen and here was, causing just that. He leaned his head back again, letting his offered hand hang by the side of the couch. It was quiet for a few moments until Jisung heard a shuffling noise. He turned and watched as Minho, still wrapped in the blanket, shuffled over to Jisung. He promptly threw himself on top of Jisung’s prone body, making him grunt at the sudden weight.
“I’d cuddle you properly but my arm’s still out of commission.” There was an immediate hiss in response and Jisung had to grip Minho’s arm to prevent him from moving away. It was a little too early to joke about that then. Jisung waited for Minho to settle once more, cuddling him except there were layers of sheets between them. This made him upset, missing the way Minho felt against him with no blankets between. Jisung tried tugging at the blankets to no avail.
“Minho, what’s all this? Are you that cold? I can barely see you.” Jisung whined, tugging weakly at the sheets when he saw Minho gripping them tightly around him. Jisung sighed, leaving the blankets be. He rested his hand over the giant mass of blankets, sweeping his hand back and forth and listening to the sound of the fabric.
“Minho, it was my fault. I’m sorry I shouldn’t have touched your fangs.”
“...I’m sorry, too.” Minho’s voice was muffled in the layers. Jisung felt his chest clench at how weak it sounded.
“Please don’t feel bad. It was my fault. I wasn’t thinking and I did that. Don’t blame yourself.” Minho shifted, lifting his head until his eyes peeked at Jisung. He offered a soft smile and Minho began to wriggle in place, shifting a little in the blanket burrito. Once settled, he looked pointedly at Jisung’s still numb arm. Jisung tried flexing his fingers but felt nothing. Minho seemed a bit more relaxed in his arms at least.
“...it’s not permanent.” Jisung lifted his eyes to Minho, who was still staring at his arm.
“Oh? So I won’t lose an arm then?” Jisung wasn’t sure if he could joke but Minho simply snorted.
“Of course not, dumbass. What got you was just residue. I wasn’t actively trying to poison you.” Jisung noted with relief that Minho was starting to sound more annoyed than upset and that infinitely better.
“Right, right… So your venom, is it just this?” Minho eyed him skeptically.
“What do you mean ‘just this’? Jisung, you just lost all feeling to your arm.”
“Well, yeah but… could you, um, paralyze my whole body? Hypothetically, I mean.” Jisung didn’t know why he asked that but it just came out of him. Thankfully, Minho seemed to seriously consider his question.
“I guess… but it’ll have to be mostly residue so it doesn’t stop your heart. Maybe pricked in a few places.”
“Like my finger but all over?”
“Mhm, just a little prick but all over your body. It’s more controlled that way.” Minho seemed to be thinking about the logistics of it, absentmindedly nodding to himself. Jisung on the other hand was beginning to sweat for very different reasons.
The image of Minho dragging his fangs on sensitive points of his body, pricking it carefully and losing control over his limbs, one by one as he watched, helpless to fight back made his stomach swoop. He managed a casually strangled out hum, petting the blanket covered lump. He was starting to feel much more grateful at the many layers between them. Clearing his throat, he tried to think about other things when his mind unhelpfully supplied one last fact that had been burning in the back of his head since he had learned of it. With much difficulty, he tried to act casual as he tried not to focus on his paralyzed arm and the little factoid that managed to worm itself into his brain.
“Are you okay, Jisung?”
“Huh?”
“You’re body temperature. It spiked. Are you still hurt?” Jisung wanted to berate his body for betraying him like this. How could he find pleasure in this when Minho was clearly still guilty and upset! He shook his head, petting him.
“No, no pain. Sorry, it’s… it’s just really warm.” It wasn’t technically a lie, Jisung felt like he was in a sauna. Minho seemed to have forgotten the heat lamps surrounding them.
“Oh! Sorry, let me.” Jisung watched as Minho untangled himself from the blankets, throwing them in a heap on the floor. He seemed to have recovered from his bout of sadness and resumed his earlier position cuddling Jisung. He sighed in contentment as his cheek pressed against Jisung’s tummy, arms wrapped around his waist.
Except now, Jisung was truly in trouble. His shorts were not exactly thick and he doubts it could cover whatever reaction he had to his current situation. His arm tingled, from the toxin and the numbness and he kept his hand in Minho’s hair. He tried to focus on that, fingers running through his fluffy hair when Minho nuzzled him again. Jisung stared up at the ceiling, forcing himself to focus on the water stain shaped like a mushroom instead of the very pressing weight of Minho’s chest on his lower half. He was starting to feel better when he felt Minho speak into his tummy. He looked down and noticed Minho staring up at him.
“Huh?”
“I said, you wouldn’t lie to me, right Jisung?”
“N-no, of course not.” Minho nodded.
“What were you thinking about?”
“...wha-“ Jisung swallowed, trying to fake cluelessness.
“When you touched my fangs, what were you thinking about?” Jisung swore internally. He didn’t think Minho would ask but it made sense for him to want to know what his friend thought about the lethal weapons in his mouth.
“Um, just… just that they were, uh, pretty sharp.” Jisung smiled, petting Minho but the older boy didn’t look convinced.
“Is that it?”
“Minho, if you’re asking if I was afraid of you, then I’m not.” Minho’s eyes narrowed but it held a little playful twinkle. Jisung rolled his eyes.
“Okay, maybe I’m a little afraid but I don’t fear you, Minho. I know you won’t hurt me.” Jisung knew this with his whole heart. It was the truth and he hoped Minho could see that he believed that.
“Hmm…”
“What?” Jisung was getting more nervous while Minho stayed silent. He was starting to think that Minho had lost interest when his gaze returned.
“But you want me to.”
Jisung thought a bomb could explode in the room and he still wouldn’t have noticed. Jisung knew how he probably looked. His eyes widened, his mouth slightly agape as he stared in horror at Minho’s statement. He could feel the flush of embarrassment from the tips of his ear down to his chest, maybe the blood even flowed to his paralyzed arm. Minho looked nonchalant in comparison, a barely there smirk to show that he knew he just hit right on target. Jisung was probably holding his breath, he’s not entirely sure how he begins breathing but he does, spluttering out excuses.
“W-what! Huh? N-no, no! No, I-“
“I could smell it on you.” Jisung faltered then. It was a losing battle as Minho began lifting himself up and crawling towards his chest. He was careful about the numb arm when he wrapped his arms around his torso, feeling the constriction against his ribs.
“You… could smell it… on me…” Minho nodded solemnly. As if to prove his point, he squeezed suddenly, punching a gasp out of Jisung. His tongue flicked out before he relaxed his hold once more.
“I think, ’taste it’ is more apt. I wasn’t sure at first. Until… that meal.” Jisung’s brain was trying to keep up but it was drawing a blank and it seemed that Minho could clearly see it on his face.
“The first time you introduced me to your friends. I flashed my fangs after you nearly drank from the cup. Your pulse quickened, I could tell your body temperature spiked and I could taste the way your scent shifted.” Jisung was cornered. How did he forget that this was an apex predator whose senses were probably a hundred times sharper than his own. He shifted a little but Minho was still holding him tight.
“Min-“
“You’re afraid of me but… you don’t hate it. You like the way my presence makes you feel. You like the fear that paralyzes even before my venom can even touch you.” Jisung was starting to feel a little distressed at how on the nose Minho was being. Was he really that obvious?
“You’re a little adrenaline junkie, huh?” Jisung froze then. Minho’s tone had an edge of bitterness, he would go as far as to say jealousy even. Did Minho think he felt this way about all predators? Jisung shifted, holding Minho’s chin and forcing him to look into his eyes. He needed to clear this out now, before they get into even more misunderstandings and really, Jisung is just tired at this point.
“Minho, I… I don’t react like this with anyone else, okay? It’s just… it’s because… you’re-“ Jisung gestured lamely to Minho’s everything. The older boy looked even more confused.
“I’m what, Jisung? A snake?” Jisung squeezed his eyes shut. He groaned. When he thought about confessing, he definitely didn’t imagine what it would be like. One arm paralyzed and just dripping with sweat underneath a very confused Minho, who was still hugging him.
“No, not that. I mean, that’s part of it I guess but… I just… It’s because it’s you, Minho.” Jisung was trying his best here but he thinks the heat may have melted his brain and turned it into soup. He really hoped he was making sense and Minho’s confusion morphed into realization before ducking his head as a blush spread across his cheeks.
“You really do have a death wish, Han Jisung.”
“Huh?” Minho looked up at him then, his eyes soft and his smile even softer. He looked exasperated and fond, that seemed like the usual when dealing with Jisung.
“Only you would have a crush on a fucking snake, you rat.”
“Hey! I’m a hamster, okay! That’s different!” Jisung protested, making Minho laugh. His giggles vibrated from his chest into Jisung’s and he felt his heart swell at the fact that Minho didn’t think he was weird. He felt the older boy bury his face in his neck, giggles tickling his neck.
“You don’t think I’m weird?” Jisung asked shyly, turning his face to the side. His lips brushed against Minho’s hair when he lifted his head humming, looking as if he was really thinking about it. Jisung hit his shoulder lightly and Minho laughed.
“No, I don’t think you’re weird. As long as you don’t think it’s weird that a snake fell for a ra- a hamster.” Minho flashed him a smile and Jisung knew he tripped over his words on purpose. Minho crawled up until their faces were level. Jisung knew from how sore his cheeks were that he hadn’t stopped smiling. Minho’s eyes crinkled, leaning over him. Jisung didn’t know if he was allowed to do anything, still unsure what their confessions would mean. Minho rolled his eyes before pressing his lips against his smile.
It was a closed mouth kiss but it still took him by surprise. His heart rate shot up and his free hand gripped Minho’s waist. Minho smirked and began pressing once more. Jisung sighed, as much as he enjoyed this, he wanted more. He parted his lips slightly to catch Minho’s lips when he realized the boy was keeping his mouth shut on purpose. Jisung’s eyes fluttered open and noticed how Minho looked hesitant.
“We don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to.”
“N-no… I do, I want to, it’s just… my fangs…”
Minho trailed off. Jisung was so incredibly stupid sometimes. Of course, Minho couldn’t kiss him like that. There was a huge chance he might cut his tongue accidentally and as thrilling as it would be for Jisung, he thinks maybe Minho would be too self-conscious. Suddenly, Jisung had a great idea.
“I know, here, you take the lead. I know you’re scared of hurting me so I’ll just… I’ll try not to move around so much.”
“Jisung, I-“
“Please? I just… I want you to kiss me, properly.”
Minho looked a little hesitant but Jisung knows that Minho could never truly resist him. And he meant it, he wanted to kiss Minho properly. Taste him on his tongue, even if he might go a little numb after. If they did it like this, then Minho would be able to control the kiss a bit better and prevent Jisung from accidentally getting too excited and nick his tongue. Minho sighed, annoyed but mostly fond before cradling Jisung’s cheek in his palm. He offered an encouraging smile, even pursing his lips and making Minho giggle. He was a little nervous but at least Minho seemed to be too, it was comforting to know he wasn’t alone.
Minho took a deep breath before pressing his lips against Jisung once more. He melted against Minho, parting his lips but he stopped himself and waited for Minho. They kissed like that, breathing through their nose until Jisung felt Minho’s thumb push lightly against his bottom lip, pulling his lips apart carefully. He sucked in a breath when they parted when Minho tilted his head and licked the corner of his mouth. He gasped and Minho smirked against his lips before repeating the same movement. He mouthed at Jisung’s lips before the younger boy began to respond in earnest. Jisung licked at Minho’s mouth before he felt a thumb trap his tongue against his lower jaw. He whined, unable to move with Minho’s thumb trapping his tongue. Minho shushed him and began licking into his mouth. He moved his lips against Jisung, tongue moving around his own thumb blocking the way. He was tasting him but Jisung couldn’t do the same.
He knows this was his idea but he didn’t really think it through until he realized he couldn’t ravage Minho’s mouth the way he wanted to. He whimpered as Minho continued to kiss him, his thumb tucked between Jisung’s teeth and trapping his tongue. He felt the press of his fangs against his lips and wanted nothing more than to lick them with his tongue. He struggled underneath Minho but Minho held fast, tightening his thighs around Jisung’s waist. Minho shushed him, pulling away and trailing kisses across Jisung’s cheek and jaw. He left Jisung to bite his thumb, tongue still trapped as he whined.
Jisung could feel the brush of his fangs against the underside of his jaw and he felt the swooping feeling at the thought of Minho’s fangs so close to where his pulse was racing. His artery throbbed underneath his skin and he was about to vibrate out of his own skin when Minho pressed kisses all over the junction of his shoulder. He managed to suck some bruises, making sure not to bite down. Jisung gasped and moaned, unable to do much except hold on tight to Minho’s bicep. When Minho’s hand slipped down to his chest, Jisung lifted his head and began kissing Minho’s jaw. Minho huffed a laugh at his eagerness but soon realized that the hoodie was blocking him. He quickly threw it off and Jisung was greeted by the beautiful expanse of scales on his skin.
Giving into his want, Jisung kissed the clusters of scales, feeling the smoothness against his mouth. Minho was panting above him and it encouraged Jisung until he bit down on Minho’s shoulder. Without thinking, Minho hissed and Jisung jumped, jerking away in case Minho was hurt. Minho, on the other hand, looked shocked that he even did it.
“Are you okay? Is something wrong?”
“N-no, I liked it. I was just surprised, it’s okay.”
Jisung realized the both of them had so much to learn about the way their instincts naturally responded to each other. They both eventually settled into kissing less aggressively while cuddling. Jisung didn’t think it was going to be this hard trying to kiss the boy he liked. It was worth it but still, he wanted more. Minho seemed content resting on his chest, kissing down his jaw and neck.
“Hey, Minho.”
“Hmm?”
“I… There was something else I read about…” Jisung had his head tipped to bare his neck while Minho nuzzled and sucked marks on his skin. Now that they’ve established their attraction with each other, plus the fact that Minho wasn’t at all put off by Jisung’s affection, he figured if there was any time to ask that it would be now.
“Snakes… when they, um, in the wild… uh, during that season, you know, um… and they, you know, do the, uh, the thing-“
“Jisung, baby, you’re going to have to be more specific than that.” Minho mumbled against his neck, kissing over the marks he left and making Jisung squirm. It was incredibly distracting. Jisung’s breath stuttered as Minho’s tongue traced up to his ear.
“It’s just, uh- ah, I-I was wondering if-ah, if…”
“If what, Jisungie~?” He recognized that tone. Jisung knew Minho well enough to know when Minho was simply teasing him for the hell of it and already knew whatbhe was going to say, he just wanted to hear him say it. Jisung squeezed his eyes shut and took a shaky breath, now or never.
“Iwaswonderingifyouhadtwodicks!”
Now, Jisung was very sure there was not only one bomb but two, maybe three, being set off unnoticed in their shared home at this very moment. Minho froze above him, pulling back slightly. Jisung wished more than anything that he could just disappear into the air like mist or melt like ice cream under the lamps but alas, he can do neither of those things. Jisung kept his eyes firmly shut when he felt Minho’s body ripple above him. He let out an undignified squeak when Minho rolled his hips down, his lips close to his ear.
“Is that what you’ve been thinking about this whole time, baby? Here I thought you liked me for my shining personality.”
“H-huh? No! No, that’s not-, I was just-!” Jisung spluttered out. A bit of feeling was back in his arm but he still wiggled helplessly under Minho’s weight.
“Shhh, I was just teasing, baby.” He could almost hear the smirk in Minho’s tone. He nearly choked when Minho rolled his hips down, with a bit more purpose against Jisung’s hip. He felt a stirring in his lower bell.
“I-I… I just… I read that, snakes they… uh…” Jisung trailed off, his mind stuttered to a halt when Minho continued to grind down on him, thighs bracketing his hips. He had one hand gripping Minho’s waist while the other was valiantly trying to come back to him. Minho was laughing in his ear, a barely there, breathy sound that tickled him.
“Mmm, and what if I said yes, Jisung? What would you do?” His heart was thudding in his chest. Jisung could feel the bulge in Minho’s pants digging into his hip, what would he do? He didn’t really think that far ahead in terms of sex and now, Jisung’s brain filled with thoughts of what had to be done if Minho did in fact, have that .
He would need a lot of prep, a lot more than usual. He’s had sex before but he’s never given a thought to double penetration. Would it even fit? Jisung tried to imagine being speared by not just one, but two dicks. They were probably both adequately sized, Minho wasn’t small, he certainly didn’t feel like it. Jisung felt his mouth dry and water all at the same time. His brain might actually leak out of his ear, being stuffed so full and completely surrounded by Minho. He’d feel it for days, maybe weeks. Minho was strong, naturally stronger than he was and he could easily bend him in half and ensure he couldn’t walk or remember his own name. Minho licked the shell of his ear and the sensation brought him back. He heard a whining sound, then realized it was coming from him.
“Aww, baby, do you really want it that bad?” Minho blew into his ear and Jisung realized he was also grinding against him, rutting his hips upward.
“I… I- ah,”
“Look at you, I’ve barely done anything and you can’t even think straight. You’re so cute, I could just eat you right up .” Really, the threat of being swallowed whole by his newly acquired snake boyfriend should not have sent his horny brain into overdrive but it did, and that’s where they were at now. Jisung let out a whimper mixed with a moan, his hips moving against Minho. The older boy let out a wicked laugh, pressing his fangs harder against the vulnerable skin of his neck.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you? If I just bit you, left you paralyzed and helpless while I fuck you with two cocks? I’d take a little nibble here and there, you wouldn’t mind, would you?” Jisung thinks Minho is about to witness irrefutable proof of spontaneous human combustion. He was so close to begging for something, grinding alone was sending him into a lust spiral and the thought whatever was in Minho’s pants was sending his mind to the gutter.
“But, alas, certain facts are out of date. Sorry, Jisungie, you’re stuck with a snake that’s got only one.” Minho pats Jisung’s cheek lightly, his tone so casual it was like they weren’t talking about his dick or lack thereof.
“O-oh,”
“Ouch, baby, you don’t have to sound so disappointed.”
“No! I’m not! I promise! I… I was just curious…” Minho faced him, smiling sweetly before kissing him then giving his nose a little nibble. It made Jisung laugh and removed the little anxious ball that made its way into his chest.
“You sure you’re not disappointed?”
“Yeah, I guess it would have been a lot if you did have...that.” Minho hummed, nodding while his fingers played with Jisung’s hair. His ears twitched when Minho’s finger came close.
“So you’re not mourning the loss of my non-existent second dick?”
“No! You’re perfect the way you are, I promise! I would love to have sex with you!” Minho nearly choked on a laugh, nearly headbutting Jisung as Jisung blushed all over at his statement. He meant it but he didn’t mean to be so forward about it. He buried his face in Minho’s chest while the older boy howled above him. It took awhile for him to calm down, wiping tears of joy from his eyes.
“Aww, Jisungie, don’t be so shy now.” Minho cradled his face, squishing his cheeks as he lifted his face to look up. Jisung stared up at Minho who seemed entirely amused and fond at Jisung’s ridiculousness.
“I’d love to have sex with you, too.”
“O-oh, I…” Jisung’s fingers were flexing on Minho’s hips. Well, they both said that they would love to but now what? Would they just go at it on the couch? Jisung shifted a little, as comfy as it was for cuddling, he doesn’t think it would be practical to have sex for the first time on their couch. Minho kissed him once before Jisung felt him begin to move away. He panicked hugging his torso and smushing his face to his tummy, making Minho laugh above him.
“Jisung, baby, as much as I love this couch, I would rather we not have sex in a place either one of us could fall over and crack our head open.” Jisung noted the tone of amusement. Minho was right.
Jisung quickly let go and Minho moved to stand next to the couch. He stretched his arms before turning to look at Jisung. Smiling, he moved towards him and knelt down to face him. Jisung froze and watched as Minho brought both his legs down, fixing him to sit facing forward with him between his legs. He must look incredibly confused as Minho giggled, reaching up to kiss him on the nose before kissing a trail down his chest. Jisung sighed, leaning his head back as Minho made his way down with careful, feathery kisses. He deftly unbuttoned his polo and kissed all over his bare skin. He stopped right above his waistband, making Jisung squirm in protest.
“Jisung, you know I can’t suck your cock right? I don’t think you’d want my fangs so close to your dick.” Jisung felt his traitorous dick jump at the thought. Minho paused, as if he could see right through him.
“Hmm, maybe you would like that.”
“Minho, please I-“ Jisung laced one hand in Minho’s hair, just to have something to hold on to.
Minho made quick work of his shorts, pulling it down and tugging it off his feet. His underwear strained against his hard cock, the head peeking out of the waistband. It was noticeably damp but Minho decided not to comment. Jisung was shaking slightly when Minho drew his face closer. He pressed a light kiss on Jisung’s inner thigh before looking up.
“Jisung, you have to keep very, very still for me, okay? Can you do that baby?” Jisung nodded, not trusting himself to speak. Minho eyed him carefully, kissing him close-mouthed before hooking his fingers in Jisung’s waistband. He gasped, feeling the cool air hit his skin as Minho carefully pulled his underwear down. Jisung wanted to hide from Minho but his full focus was on him. He lifted his hips slightly and they managed to remove the underwear, leaving Jisung shaking and leaking in an unbuttoned polo. Minho was still in his pants and he didn’t seem to have plans of removing them, yet.
Minho took one last look at Jisung. He nodded silently, to assure him that it was okay and Minho took it as permission. He began kissing lightly on his inner thighs. His hair barely brushed against his aching cock but Jisung bit his lip. He needed to trust Minho or else there may not be a repeat. He watched as Minho’s light kisses turned into open-mouthed kisses, sucking marks into the sensitive skin. He felt his cock jump when Minho’s fangs flashed while he kissed him. They were dangerously close to a very vulnerable part of him and the resulting rush of lust nearly made him pass out.
Minho continued as if he didn’t notice Jisung’s turmoil, but knowing him, he was fully aware of the effect he had. His fingers dug into the meat of his calves as he continued kissing and sucking bruises. He moved upward, trailing kisses on Jisung’s v-line. Jisung could feel his abs tense as Minho kissed across, dipping his tongue lightly into his belly button. The head of his cock brushed against the underside of Minho’s jaw and he nearly jumped at the proximity. Minho’s eyes flashed at him, making Jisung dig into his seat before returning to what he was doing.
Jisung wanted to cry. Minho showed no signs of stopping, his hips and thighs were littered with bruises but his cock remained untouched. He was leaking steadily on his lower belly and he was sure he was making a mess of the sheets he was sitting on. He had his hands gripping the cushions to hold himself back. Minho seemed to slow down, sucking hard and deeper. It began to hurt, the bruises blooming darker against his tan skin. He let out a breathy moan and felt his dick twitch. Jisung’s never done it before but maybe today is the day he finds out whether or not he can cum untouched.
Jisung watched helplessly as Minho sucked a dark bruise very close to where he needed attention. Minho paused, tongue flicking out to taste his skin. Jisung noticed then how tense Minho’s back was, how he shut his eyes and breathed shakily through his nose. Perhaps he wasn’t the only one affected. Jisung let out an aborted thrust, a small almost unnoticeable movement but Minho caught it. His eyes flashed and he grabbed Jisung’s hips immediately. Jisung whined, pouting at Minho for relief.
“Please, please, touch me, Minho. Please! It’s okay, just- anything, please- ah!” Minho’s tongue flicked out and touched his cock. It was so quick, Jisung almost missed it. He froze and realized Minho looked just as shocked. He was holding himself very still and Jisung realized that Minho was holding himself back as well. A part of him thought it was really sweet, Minho didn’t want to be careless again but a bigger part of him just wanted Minho to throw caution to the wind and fuck him.
It seemed that having a taste was the answer. Minho’s eyes would not move from his dick and it twitched under his gaze. Jisung could see the way Minho’s lips twitched, his hands gripping his thighs to steady himself.
“Jisung, listen to me. You must keep still, whatever happens, okay? Do not move.” Minho was staring at his cock like it was steak and Jisung realized he couldn’t see him nodding.
“Yes, yes, I promise.” Minho squeezed him one last time before leaning in. Jisung sucked in a breath, holding it in anticipation.
Minho opened his mouth slightly and let his tongue snake out of his mouth. He licked the beads of precum off the head. Jisung gasped at the sensation. Minho shut his eyes, biting hard on his lips as he shuddered. He took a few deep breaths before licking again. Jisung was worried that Minho didn’t find it appealing when Minho opened his mouth a lot wider. Saliva pooled in mouth as his tongue continued to lap at Jisung’s dick.
Jisung swallowed back a moan, shutting his eyes at the sensation. He was gripping the couch hard to prevent from bucking up into Minho’s mouth. He didn’t want to look because he knew that he would see Minho’s fangs out so close to his cock and he’d blow immediately. Arching his back slightly, his head fell back as he moaned at the ceiling. Minho was so close to having his dick inside his mouth. He could hear breathy moans below him and that removed any thought that Minho wasn’t enjoying the way he tasted. He wanted nothing more than to fuck into Minho’s mouth, knowing very well he had no gag reflex, uncaring of the sharp fangs that could cut him. He didn’t care, he just wanted relief. He wanted Minho to just do something.
“Oh fuc- Minho, Minho, please, please, baby do something, I just, please- ah! Pleas-“
Minho shushed him. It was absolute torture, Minho lapping at his cock and barely able to wrap his lips around him without running the ridk of slicing him open. Minho seemed to be struggling as well, having tasted him there was sending his sense into overdrive. Jisung watched as Minho had to physically fight down his urges. Saliva dripped from his mouth to Jisung’s cock and the visual of it hanging off his fangs was enough for Jisung to need to grip himself to calm down. Minho didn’t get mad when Jisung decided to hold himself tight at the base, his tongue licking at his fingers as well. Jisung felt how wet it was, a mix of precum and drool and he felt like crying. Seriously, this wasn’t even a blowjob and it was already sending him into a mental breakdown.
He continued to blink up at the ceiling, still gripping tight when he felt a kiss on the head. Minho pressed a firm kiss before moving down his length. Jisung could feel the way they were both trembling, doing whatever it took to hold back from accidentally hurting each other. He felt the imprint of his fangs against his lips and he wanted- no, needed to feel them on him but Minho didn’t seem to trust himself. He tried to imagine what was going through his mind. The heady scent of arousal wrapped around his tongue and the taste of Jisung’s skin, it was as sexually arousing as it was appetizing. He could tell from the way Minho looked at him, like he wanted to fuck him brainless then finish it off by eating him up. He moaned at the thought, feeling his fingers find Minho’s hair and grip him hard. He could feel the butterfly kisses on his thighs shooting sparks behind his eyes. It alternated with the licks from Minho’s deft tongue and he thinks he split his lip from biting down too hard.
Jisung was so lost in his thoughts, he hadn’t realized that Minho was talking to him. He turned his head and noticed Minho had sat up straight, pressing his whole front against Jisung as he rested his head on his shoulder.
“...huh?” Jisung’s voice croaked, throat dry under the heat of the lamps. Minho was trembling slightly, burying his face in his neck.
“I thought… I lost you there.”
“Wha… why?”
“You came, Jisung.” Minho was panting, moving his body away to reveal streaks of white against the tan skin of Jisung’s stomach. It wasn’t a lot, he was still hard but he still did cum and he hadn’t even noticed. Jisung looked down and lifted a shaky hand to swipe through the mess, a little disbelieving he managed to cum from a few light kisses. He didn’t even need to jerk himself off.
“I…”
“Jisung, if… if you want to stop here, that’s okay. I won’t be mad, baby.” Minho whispered against his skin, lightly kissing over the hickeys he put on Jisung’s shoulders. It was just that, despite having initially orgasmed, Jisung still felt that itch. It burned through his blood and it made him want to jump up and scream. He was so tightly strung and it didn't help take the edge off. He looked over and noticed Minho's impressive bulge, straining against his pants. He could clearly see the outline and he wanted it in him, in any way that he could have it.
“No… no, please, don’t stop. I still want…” Jisung furiously whispered. He wondered why Minho wanted to stop here, when he was clearly in need of relief. Jisung reached over with the intent of cupping Minho when he was pinned against the backrest. He yelped at the sudden show of strength and heard a low hiss from Minho’s throat. He turned to the side and noticed he was shaking his head as if to clear it. Minho shifted, his glowing eyes meeting Jisung’s dark gaze.
“Jisung, I… This is difficult, for me… I don’t want to hurt… you.” Minho looked like he was having a hard time speaking, saliva escaping the corners of his mouth. His fangs were clearly impeding his speech and he seemed to be creating copious amounts of saliva instead of venom, letting it fill his mouth. He swallowed audibly and Minho’s sharp eyes followed the bob of his throat. Hesitantly, he pressed his hand against Minho’s cheek, urging him to look into his eyes.
“You won’t… can’t hurt me, Minho. I know you, it’ll be okay.”
“But, what if I-“
“Minho, you don’t… you don’t know how much I fucking want this. Please, whatever happens, I won’t hate you, I promise. Baby, please, I just need you. Please.”
Jisung was past the point of being too ashamed to beg. He’d beg on his knees if he has to. He felt like his soul was close to just tearing itself apart if Minho didn’t touch him but he also knew how terrified Minho was of hurting him. He had seen how he reacted earlier, even if it was Jisung’s fault and he didn’t want to make him uncomfortable but he wanted this. Minho needed to know that Jisung wants this just as bad, maybe even more than him.
Minho eyed, still a little skeptical. Jisung did his best to pour out every want, need and truth he had into his gaze, letting bleed into his eyes. Minho seemed to see it because he shut his eyes and took a deep breath. Jisung lifted his hand and pressed against Minho’s shoulder blades, feeling his back expand and contract. He kept his eyes shut when he drew back, took both of Jisung’s hands in his own and kissed his knuckles.
“Okay… okay, Jisung.” He let out a breath of relief at Minho’s words.
“I need you to go to your room and get comfortable, okay? Lie down and relax. I… I will need some things.” Jisung nodded, only half understanding what Minho was saying. Minho looked into his eyes and kissed him, feeling Jisung melt against him. He pulled away when Jisung tried to deepen the kiss, squeezing tightly on his wrists.
“Go.”
Jisung was in a daze as he tried to get up. He nearly fell over when his knees buckled but he caught himself, throwing an unconvincing thumbs up at Minho. He stumbled into his room and threw himself on his bed, letting his own scent comfort him. He nuzzled into his pillows, breathing in the smell when he senses a shift in the surroundings. He forces his territorial instincts to calm down when he realizes it’s Minho standing outside his door. He runs his hand through his sweaty hair. Jisung was right, the heat did seep into the walls and it was getting stuffy in his room. He forced himself to relax, letting his head fall back and waited until Minho was ready to come in.
The door clicked open, the only indication of Jisung noticing was his ears. He took deep breaths before opening his eyes. Minho stood by the door, grey sweats pulled low. He could see that he was only half hard now but he was sure the both of them would be fully there in a few minutes. He let Minho take him in, lying prone on the bed, fully naked. Minho stepped inside and left the door a little open. Jisung couldn’t take his eyes off him. His curtain was open and the light from the outside hit his scales in a way that made the colors dance on his skin.
It was quiet save for their breathing as Minho stopped at the foot of his bed. Jisung wondered if he was waiting for him to come closer. He lifted his head to meet Minho’s gaze and was immediately met with a hiss. His eyes widened and he let his head fall back, not wishing to seem like a challenge. He could feel the bed dip and he knew that Minho had gotten on the bed close to his feet. His toes twitched, he considered holding his breath when he felt a touch on the arch of his foot. He jerked from the ticklishness. Minho was kneeling by his feet, hand trailing from his foot to his ankle. Slowly walking his fingers up to his thighs, caressing him. Minho’s gaze followed his hand, tracing the lines of veins that pulsed under his skin.
“M-minho, please do something-“
“Jisung, there are many things I want to do to you… quite a few would be considered dangerous. I don’t want… I’m trying my best to… hold myself back.” Jisung whined, he wanted to know what Minho was thinking. He was unreadable to him. He wanted Minho to take what he wanted as much Jisung was willing to give, which was everything and anything.
“Don’t,” Minho’s eyes snapped up, his hand freezing on Jisung’s thigh. Jisung swallowed, trying to gather his thoughts.
“I know you can tell when I lie, Minho. I’m telling you what I want. Minho…” Jisung reached out a hand and Minho let him cradle his jaw, following as Jisung laid back down until the older boy was above him, supporting himself on his elbow. He hated how hesitant he looked, wanted to wipe away the worry in his stare.
“...don’t hold back, baby. Take me, I want you to, Minho. Don’t hold back.” Jisung knew they probably needed to talk about this more but right now, there was a pressing problem straining against him in Minho’s pants and he thinks he is likely to die of horniness more than anything else.
“A-are you sure?” Jisung could see the way Minho was gripping the sheets, half-expecting them to tear beneath his fingers. He smiled, reaching up to kiss Minho’s nose. Sweeter than expected given the situation, but he needed to assure Minho he would be okay.
“Yes, Minho. Now fuck me like you want to eat me.”
A switch flips and Jisung only has a second to see it when Minho nearly devours his mouth. He grips Jisung’s jaw and he struggles a little to test his hold but it doesn’t budge. Minho still seems intent on making sure he doesn’t move too carelessly and hurt himself. He moans and lets Minho take and take, licking around his mouth and the back of his teeth. His hips buck up, hissing a little when his half hard cock meets the cloth of Minho’s sweatpants. The older boy makes his way down, sucking and kissing over the marks all the way down the length of his body. Jisung knows to keep his hands to the side, gripping his sheets. His hips make aborted little thrusts but he manages to keep them down.
Minho opens his mouth and spits right on Jisung’s cock. Jisung moans, making him smirk. He blows a little, making his cock jump at the sudden damp air when he feels it. It's a slight tingling sensation that makes his eyes roll back and his cock jump. He leaks onto his stomach, making an even bigger mess. The tingling sensation doesn’t stop however making his dick throb in a different way. His confusion must show on his face as Minho stops his ministrations to look up at him.
“Do you like it?”
“Wha-?”
“It’s very little, can you feel it?” Jisung’s brain takes a few seconds to reboot at the sight of Minho’s cherry red lips and glinting fangs. He blinked once when he figured it out. The weird tingly sensation felt sort of familiar and he guessed that maybe Minho mixed a little in his saliva when he spat. The thought sends a chill up his spine and his stomach swoops. Minho chuckles into his thigh when he sees the pieces click in Jisung’s mind.
Jisung wanted more. He wanted to feel that all over his body, it didn’t make him feel numb but it was enough to shoot his instincts into overdrive. The adrenaline rushed through his veins and he felt sparks down to his toes. He watched as Minho opened his mouth and brushed his fangs against the vulnerable skin on his inner thigh. Jisung tensed, seeing the way his skin easily gave way to the sharp points. It made Minho laugh breathily, as if he couldn’t believe the way Jisung was reacting. Which was annoying, considering Jisung had been repeating himself since earlier.
Minho’s eyes flashed up to him and Jisung nodded once. He waited a beat before Minho turned back to his thigh and began adding a little more pressure. Jisung felt his pulse spike, his heart jumping as his lungs burned from the lack of air. He was holding his breath in anticipation until he watched his skin give way. A tiny bead of blood rose to the surface, it was small like what his body would give if he had pricked his finger on a splinter. In the back of his mind, he knew he'd had paper cuts worse than what Minho had done. But that didn’t stop his instincts kicking into overdrive at the sight of a predator making him bleed. Jisung keened, high in his throat and Minho had to hold his legs down before he ended up kneeing him in the head.
Jisung began to struggle more in Minho’s hold, making the older boy exert a bit more strength to hold him down. He moaned, feeling the weight against him. Pushing his legs apart more, Minho settled on his knees in between him. He leaned over, his tongue flicking out against his twitching cock. Jisung threw his head back with a gasp. He gripped Minho’s biceps as he focused on trying to calm down. Minho continued, flicking his tongue from base to tip, tonguing the slit where he was leaking on his stomach. It was still a good distraction, considering Jisung was out of his mind from their earlier foreplay.
He was completely out of it, he almost missed the slight pressure against his hole. He made a little confused noise while Minho kissed his hips. Jisung lifted his head a little and noticed the bottle of lube next to his feet. So, maybe he was a little more out of it than he realized as he didn’t hear or notice Minho even having the lube. He jerked when he felt the slight pressure against him, making Minho look up.
“S-sorry, just-ah, a little cold. ‘S okay, k-keep going.” Jisung smiled shakily before letting his head fall back. Minho kissed his tummy before pushing a little harder. It was always difficult with the initial stretch. He breathed through it, letting Minho pump his finger in and out. After a while, Jisung whimpered, wanting Minho to move faster. The older boy chuckled but indulged him, he figured he tortured Jisung enough.
He stretched him until he was up to three fingers and Jisung was squirming. Minho littered careful kisses all over his tummy while his cock made a mess. Curling his fingers while purposely avoiding his sweet spot, it was probably for the best as Jisung was sure he’d cum immediately. Jisung didn’t even notice the steady streams of pleas and begging while Minho stretched him. He was close to kicking him in the back when Minho straightened up. Jisung held his breath, gripping the sheets as Minho pushed his pants down.
His cock slapped against his tummy, it looked like a normal cock. Jisung doesn’t know why he expected it to look different. There were small clusters of scales on his hips but his cock had none. Minho pumped himself and Jisung felt his mouth water at the sight. He tightened his grip on the bed as Minho jerked himself off to alleviate some of the pressure.
Minho sighed as he touched under Jisung’s hungry gaze, leaning back and blindly reaching for the bottle of lube and a condom. He tore the wrapper, fumbling as he put it on. He noticed how Jisung’s thighs trembled in anticipation. He put some more lube on his ass and himself, wiping the excess on the bed. He carefully positioned Jisung’s legs over his shoulders to open him up more. Jisung flushed, reaching out to hold Minho’s hand. He squeezed and smiled and Minjo felt compelled to give him a light kiss.
“You ready?”
“Y-yeah.” Jisung’s voice was shot to death and he was trying not to impale himself on Minho’s cock. He forced himself to relax as Minho guided his cock inside. He pushed and Jisung gasped when he slipped in. He was halfway when he stopped, moving in and out to get used to the stretch. Minho’s head dropped, his hair covering his face while his arms trembled. He was still cool to the touch and Jisung pawed at his shoulders to get him to look up.
“M-minho, baby, please kiss me-ah!” Minho looked up, leaning forward and kissed Jisung as he pushed in some more. Jisung wrapped his arms around his shoulders, nails digging into his back when he was flush against his ass.
“Shit… fuck, Jisung, a-are you okay?” Jisung was right. Minho was decidedly not small at all. He felt a little dizzy from being full and the fact that it was Minho. He buried his face in his neck while Minho rubbed his arm to comfort him.
Jisung nodded and Minho began to rock against him, only shallowly thrusting. Jisung whimpered, mouthing at Minho’s neck when he pulled all the way back and thrusted back in. Jisung screamed before biting down hard. Spurred on by his reaction, Minho gathered Jisung into his arms and folded him over. He fucked into him, the force pushing Jisung up until he hit the headboard with the top of his head. Minho continued to fuck him hard, no longer holding back.
Jisung was getting close, eyes rolling back aa he moaned freely. This was better than he imagined. He rolled his hips down to meet Minho’s thrusts and cried out when he felt Minho hit his prostate. He could feel his orgasm building once more, his cock making a mess in between their stomachs. He gripped himself at the base, trying to stave off the oncoming orgasm, he didn’t want it to end so soon. Minho was grunting in his ears, a low hiss escaping his mouth. He snapped his hips into Jisung, angling to aim at the spot that made his toes curl and his hole tighten around him.
“Baby, are you close?” Minho kissed the shell of Jisung’s ear, feeling the soft fur. Jisung was beyond words, responding only with a whimper. Minho noticed that he was holding himself tight. He thought at first Jisung was about to cum but he realized Jisung was actually trying to stop it. Minho smirked, he could tell Jisung was close, the way his hips were losing its rhythm trying to meet his. He wanted Jisung to lose control, unable to stop himself.
“Jisungie~ what are you doing? Don’t you want to cum already?”
“N-no, ah, no, no, not yet, pleas-ah! not yet, not-“ Jisung cried out, nearly choking on his own words when Minho changed his position. He flipped him over and wrangled both hands behind his back. Minho held his wrists with one hand, forcing his legs to spread so he could stay between them.
Like this, Jisung was completely exposed. His face was turned to the side as he drooled on the pillow. Minho groped his ass, spreading it. He spat in his hand and reached under Jisung to grab his dick. Jisung moaned at the sensation but he pulled his hips away from Minho’s fist. Minho guided his cock back into Jisung’s hole before forming a loose fist around his cock. He gripped his wrists behind his back before pushing cock in. The movement pushed Jisung’s hips forward and his dick into Minho’s hand. He leaned over and kissed Jisung’s shoulder while he continued fucking him, only now Jisung had Minho’s fist to fuck his dick into.
He cried out, unable to get away from the friction from Minho’s hand as his hips were pushed by Minho’s dick. Jisung could feel the orgasm coming as he fucked into Minho’s fist while getting pounded from behind. After a while, he didn’t even realized Minho stopped moving, losing himself as he thrusted forward into the rough hand and back to Minho’s cock. Minho smiled against his neck, mouthing at the bruises and letting Jisung chase his high until he froze beneath him.
“Ah, ah, ah! Min-! Minho! Fuck! Ah!” Jisung’s hips stuttered as he moved faster, impaling himself on Minho’s dick while his fist worked him through his release. The earlier orgasm on the couch did nothing to lessen the load as he hit his own chin and made a mess all over his chest and the bed. Jisung continued to fuck into Minho’s fist, crying from the sensitivity but unable to stop. Minho began rocking into him again, feeling him tighten around him. Swearing under his breath, he fucked into him roughly.
Jisung sobbed from the over sensitivity, his cock feeling raw where it was still held in a loose fist. Minho grunted, the sound of their skin slapping spurring him on while Jisung’s pathetic cries echoed around the room.
“Mi-minho! Ah! Ah! Please, please, Minho- ah!” Jisung wasn’t entirely sure what he was asking for. His brain was devoid of anything except ‘Minho’ and what his body was doing to him. He had let go of his wrists, moving his hands to grip Jisung’s waist and push him down against the bed. Jisung sobbed as his cock rubbed against the sheets, feeling a bit of liquid dribble out. One of Minho’s hands still had his cum and Jisung angled his face towards it. He coaxed it into his mouth and he sucked on Minho’s fingers while Minho plowed through him.
“Fu-uck! Shit, Jisung, ah! I- fuck!” Minho thrusted faster, losing his rhythm when he came. The force of the orgasm knocking his breath from his lungs as he emptied out into the condom. His hips kept going until his legs shook from overstimulation. He pulled out and flopped over to Jisung’s side.
Their harsh breaths filled the otherwise quiet room, the low buzzing from the heat lamps were muffled. Their chests moved rapidly as they tried to catch their breath. Jisung looked dazed, his eyes half-lidded as he suckled on Minho’s fingers. Minho turned his head, as if only now realizing Jisung had his fingers in his mouth. He pulled his hand away, against Jisung’s whines of protest and forced himself to push his weak body up. He kissed the pout off of Jisung’s face, smiling into the kiss. Jisung sighed, lips barely moving as he struggled to keep his eyes open. Minho pulled away, mumbling against his mouth that he would be back and shakily made his way into the bathroom.
Jisung was staring, unseeing at the ceiling when Minho came back with a damp cloth. He wiped them down and threw the condom and wrapper in the trash. He cooed, coaxing Jisung into his arms until he had him in a good position and lifted. Jisung nuzzled into his neck as he carried the sleepy boy into his room. Depositing him into his bed, Jisung belatedly realized that the blankets from the couch were all there. He snuggled into the nest, burying himself in Minho’s scent. He was about to drift off when he felt the bed dip behind him. Jisung sighed, shifting his body until Minho spooned him, kissing the back of his neck. He gave up fighting against the oncoming sleep and let himself drift off to sleep.
The first thing Jisung noticed when he woke was how sweaty he was. Groaning, he wiggled against the damp spot on the bed sheets. His eyes were still shut as he shifted under the weight of what felt like a bag of bricks on his chest. Keeping his eyes shut, he grumbled weakly as he tried to move under the crushing weight against his chest. He was really sweating now, feeling the drops from his temples go down to his ears. He let his hands grope freely as his arms still felt a little weak. He made a little noise of surprise when he felt something like the cool side of his pillow. He shifted, wincing from the pain until he successfully turned on his side. He heard a muffled noise and threw his leg over the cold pillow thing, wrapping both arms around it and sighing contentedly.
He felt a pair of arms curl around his waist, hands flat against his back. Jisung wrinkled his nose in disgust, his back must be sweaty and gross. He shifted when he felt something pointy against his chest. He grumbled, wiggling until felt the arms tighten around him.
“Stop moving.” Although, the voice was muffled and sounded a bit more like ‘shoph mophing”. Jisung peeked one eye open and noticed several things.
One, he was definitely not in his room. The windows were covered, blocking out the sun. The bed was in a different spot and it was significantly hotter. Two, he was not alone. Three, he was naked.
Jisung almost jerked back in surprise if it were not for the arms that held him. He looked at the fluffy head of hair buried in his chest and his eyes widened when Minho tipped his face up.
“You look surprised to see me.” Minho’s morning voice, that was certainly going into Jisung’s vault of ‘sounds that make his insides perform a full gymnastics performance’. Jisung blinked at him until the memories from last night came flooding in. He flushed, the blush spreading all the way down his neck and with a yelp he covered his face in shame. He turned his face into the pillows so fast, he ended up kneeing Minho in his side.
“Ow! Jisung, it’s too early for this.” Minho groaned, rubbing his eyes. His body was still feeling sore, on the account of the weather making his body more sluggish. He was usually fine the morning after but the cold was really making his body feel lazy. He almost turned to face away from Jisung when he noticed the younger boy burying his face in the pillows, and screaming. Minho squinted when his ears picked up the soft high pitched muffled screaming. He yawned, reaching out to pet his back he noticed Jisung’s tail. He never really looked at it before, due to its size. It was very small, a fluffy twitchy thing. Minho held in a giggle and reached out to touch it. He managed to pat it once before Jisung jerked away, inevitably falling off the bed.
“Jisung! Are you okay?” Minho peered over the side to see a naked Jisung flopped over like a starfish. Jisung groaned.
“Fuck, that hurt. Yeah, I’m okay.” Jisung winced trying to sit up and regretting it immediately when the pain in his ass flared up. He fell back and turned to see Minho blinking over at him from the bed, a blanket on his head.
“Minho, I think you broke my legs. I can’t walk. You’ve crippled me, you overgrown noodle.” He tried to go for threatening but all Minho did was a slow blink in response before slithering back into the sheets.
“Hey! Don’t leave me down here! Take responsibility or else!”
“What are you going to do? Wiggle your cotton tail at me?” Minho’s voice sounded slightly muffled, as if he had buried himself in the blankets.
“You asshole! I’m not a fucking rabbit!” As if forgetting the fact his legs were basically jello, Jisung jumped up and tackled the Minho shaped lump on the bed. Minho yelled, trying to throw Jisung off.
“Fucking-! Jisung! Stop! Ew, you’re still naked! Get off me!” Minho struggled, his face scowling but his eyes were bright. Jisung was determined and stuck his fingers in the blankets until he found Minho’s sides. He tickled and pinched him until he yelled.
“Ha! That’s not what you said last night!” Jisung took to rubbing himself in spite while Minho yelled at him, barking out a laugh.
“You’re disgusting! Ugh, I hate you so much!”
“Noo~ you don’t! You like mee~!”
Jisung laughed as Minho fought against the giggles that bubbled in his throat. His eyes flashed and suddenly, he flipped the two. Jisung fell on the bed with an ‘oof’, feeling slightly terrified at Minho caging him in.
“Heh… Minho… baby, I was only kidding. You know what, I should go get changed and-“
Minho pounced then, tickling Jisung’s sides. He let out a shriek and squirmed against Minho. His pleas for mercy went unheard as Minho continued to tickle him. The older boy blew raspberries in his belly and Jisung gasped for air, begging for him to stop as Minho continued to giggle at his pain. Next time, he’ll know not to wake his boyfriend up before his alarm and to go to sleep with at least a pair of underwear on.
