Chapter Text
Harmonia Greengrass stood up from her chair in the wedding table, and casting a Sonorus, looked everywhere around her. "Hello and welcome everyone! Thank you so much for coming to our daughter's wedding. My wife and I are so happy for this wonderful event, so that we have decided to gift to the newlyweds their honeymoon trip!"
"Oh Mother!" A crying Daphne Greengrass hugged her mothers, while her new bride Pansy watched with wet eyes.
Lucius often wondered when his son Draco would find a good boy and finally get married. He wanted to see some grandchildren before he left this world, damnit!
Sensing his mood, his husband Narcissus took his hand in his. "Next time it's gonna be our Draco, I just know it." Narcissus said, hoping to calm the storm that brewed inside Lucius. After 25 years together, he knew his husband's moods better than his own.
"Let's pray it's so, Narcissus, my love." Lucius said, and then prayed to Morgana. Fervently.
In the mean time, Draco Malfoy made his way through the guests, hoping to catch up to Theo. Everywhere, he saw men with their husbands and women with their wives, some chatting, some dancing, and wondered how on earth he would ever tell his dads that he was a pervert.
That he was a heterosexual man and he liked women. Not to mention Granger. Every time she saw Granger with Lavender Brown he wanted to smash something. Lavender always kissed her, touched her, made her laugh. And it was killing him that he had to play the happy gay man and be their friend.. At least Potter and Ginny Weasley weren't so handsy with each other, but on the other hand, Harriet 'Harri" Potter didn't do it for him. She and Ginny Weasley were a match made in heaven, and he was in fact invited to their wedding next year.
Just when he thought he caught a glimpse of Theo, someone stopped him. It was Gregory Goyle, and he was eating him with his eyes.
"Hey Drake. Wanna dance?" Sensing his parents near and not wanting to disgrace them just yet, he accepted Greg's hand and they went in the dance floor. Oh, when this reception was gonna end?
In the other side of town, one Hermione Granger, was wrestling with her untameable curls, again. She was gonna be late, again, because her hair refused to conform in any type of hairstyle that restricted them. She hoped Lav wasn't gonna be too mad at her, since it was their anniversary dinner. Oh well, she could always make it up to her later. She hoped.
Finally, having managed to wrestle her hair into something tolerably passing, she put on some perfume and her black heels and left. Her red dress was flowing and fell somewhere on her thighs. Lavender would love it.
Apparating to the new restaurant, the Silver Wing, she gave Lavender's name at the front desk, where she was then directed into a secluded area. Thank Merlin that Lavender had at least thought of that. She was often so loud and boisterous, that she was heard from everywhere. Talk about trying to escape the Prophet with her.
"Mione, Merlin, you look stunning!" Lav said, getting up and kissing like she hadn't seen her for days. Hermione kissed her back, feeling light headed from excitement and happiness. Lav had remembered that it was their anniversary, thank goodness. Last year they had take out Chinese cause Lav had forgotten and gone out with Harri instead. Thankfully she made up, but she was still a bit sore about it.
"Mione, I hope you don't mind, but I ordered for you too. Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce and a glass of red Chianti, right?" Hermione was shocked. Lav had actually remembered what she liked and ordered it!
"Darling, you're amazing! That's exactly what I wanted! How did you remember?" Hermione said, at awe with her girlfriend.
"If I want you to keep me around, I have to learn from my mistakes, right?" She smiled so adoringly, that Hermione couldn't resist and kissed her. Thankfully, the food arrived shortly after and it was delicious. Lav told her about Fred and George's latest news, Ronnie's too, since she was working at their joke shop, helping them, and Hermione told her about the latest Ministry gossip. Hermione also reminded Lav that they had promised to help Draco look a birthday gift for his dad, Narcissus. They, meaning Harri, Ronnie, Lav, Draco and Hermione, had all had become
fast friends at their second year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, and they had never stopped since.
After their dinner, Hermione followed Lav to her home and they made love. She sighed happily in Lav's arms, snuggling closer to her warmth. She had no idea that in a few short days, her life would become a huge twisted mess.
