It was morning and when you arose the spot next to you was empty. You groan as you slowly sit up, yawning and stretching. There was a certain smell of coffee coming from the kitchen, you slip out of bed to investigate it. There was Childe sitting on the table and appeared to be waiting for you. When he sees you he greets you with a close eyed grin “good morning y/n~” and opens his arms for you to hug him. You oblige and shuffle over and comfortably settle on his lap while greeting him back with a “morning...”
You both sat there for a while before Childe gave you a kiss on your forehead and told you with a cheerful voice “I have plans for us today, go get ready so we can go!”
Begrudgingly you leave Childes arms to go to your shared bedroom to freshen yourself up for the day. While you were changing you noticed that somehow a little star conch found its way into your pocket. “Where did this come from?” You mumbled to yourself. Maybe you forgot you had it in your pocket, you shrugged it off, thinking nothing of it and put it in your nightstand.
You leave your bedroom only to be greeted with the sight of Childe holding a bouquet of Glaze Lillies. “You like these flowers do you not?” You look at Childe in shock before smiling and laughing “I love them, thank you for these.” you take the flowers out of his hands and affectionately caress a petal from one flower.

For the rest of the day Childe had dragged you around Liyue buying you little ornaments that he thought you would like, he even took you to Liuli Pavilion to eat like the gentleman he is.
You both ended up in the beach by the end of the day, the sun setting while you and Childe hold hands whilst walking down the shore.
You and Childe end up watching the sunset, you both sitting together on a rock while letting your feet soak on the ocean water, your head was on his shoulder and his arm was wrapped around your shoulder.
“Childe, darling.” Childe hums in response. “thank you for taking the time to make plans for us today” you say and give him a peck on his cheek. Childe smiles and rests his head on yours “I want you to be happy whenever we’re together, of course I’d want us to spend time together”
You both sit in silence for a while before Childe speaks up “y/n did you know that if you put a star conch to your ear and listen closely you can hear the whispers of what your heart desires?” You look up at him curiously “is that so?” You spot a nearby star conch on the sand and you get up to go grab it and then you make your way back to your boyfriend. Childe laughs “put it up to your ear and listen closely” he stands up and leads your hand holding the star conch up to your ear. You inhale deeply, cover your other ear, and close your eyes to focus. Childe smiles at how serious you looked with your face scrunched up.
“I heard something!” Your eyes suddenly snap open and with starry eyes you look at your lover. “What did you hear?” Childe asks with a soft smile. You hum “it sounded like a heartbeat, it reminds me of yours. What does that mean?” Childe let’s put a mischievous grin “it means we’re soul mates” you feel you face heat up from his words “Don’t say such mushy things!” You say while looking away with a hmph.
Childe laughs at your actions and takes your hands “it’s getting late we should go home now. Shall we?” You nod in agreement and both of you collect your things and make your way home together.

“You can go ahead and take a bath before me I’ll go put the stuff you got me away” you say once you both got home. “Okay~ I hope you enjoy the things I got you” your partner says before going to the bathroom. As you were looking through the things you felt something in your pocket, taking the object out you see that’s it’s the star conch that you grabbed at the beach. You smile softly and open your nightstand to put it next to the other star conch from this morning. However those weren’t the only star conches you had....there were more in the bag of the things Childe got you. It dawned on you that Childe was the one who put the star conch in your pocket in the morning. You giggle and shake your head “he’s ridiculous...”
“Who is?” Childe appears at the bedroom door with sleepwear on and his hair still wet. You laugh “You are, silly. What are all the star conches for?” Childes face flushes a little and he scratches the back of his head “well...I thought you would like them because I remember you saying that they reminded you of me and I wanted you to have them so if I’m away then you can look at them when you miss me...”
Your eyes widen at his response “You sappy idiot, I can’t believe I fell in love with you” you say as you walk up to him pepper his face with kisses as he smiles and laughs. “Only for you my love”
