Work Text:
Time dragged on and on in Donghyuck's classes. What was it again? Passing like molasses? Donghyuck wasn't even sure what molasses were but the word reminded him of moles and Donghyuck was never good with chemistry.
His teacher was waxing poetic about some book or another they were supposed to read for class but next to no one actually did. Donghyuck groaned and stretched over his desk, letting his gaze wander, well, not wander as much as he directed it somewhere he wanted.
Mark was diligently taking notes like the nerd he was, the sun glistening on his hair. His eyes shone in a honey brown and the little moles on his pale skin looked as cute as ever. Mark's lips were formed into a tiny pout as he concentrated.
On his arms were scribbles. Some of his own, some Donghyuck had put there during the second period, the only period the teacher hadn't seated them separately yet. Mark's own scribbles were big enough for Donghyuck to make out, a cat, a dog and a sun. Donghyuck swooned, letting out a long sigh, feeling the smile spread on his face.
God, if Donghyuck was as good with words as his teacher he'd be waxing poetic too. Mark was just so beautiful, so brilliant, so... everything, Donghyuck had no choice but to feel this way about him. Maybe it was love maybe it wasn't yet but Donghyuck sure as hell didn't care when Mark turned around to grin at him before turning back around.
He sighed again. Yep, it was way too late for him, no matter what it was.
“Hyuckie, we're still on for the party, right?”
Donghyuck hummed, tipping back in his chair and tilting his head back.
“Yeah,” he said with a strained voice, “it's Hendery's party, do you really think he'd let us off the hook if we didn't show?”
Mark slapped at Donghyuck's knee, successfully getting him back on the ground. It didn't actually have any real force behind it and if it had been anyone else, Donghyuck wouldn't have budged, but this was Mark and Donghyuck was whipped.
He was so whipped, in fact, when he slapped Mark's knee as well, as a revenge in a way, he could barely hold back his smile.
Mark rolled his eyes and slapped Donghyuck's knee once again as he clarified, “I was talking about us going together, you dingus.”
“Of course we're still going together. Including the sleepover. That's how it's always been, dingus.”
The bell rang just as Donghyuck spoke the last word, making Donghyuck both curse and bless it. Sticking his tongue out at Donghyuck, Mark got up and stretched. The movement made his shirt ride up just a little, just enough to expose a sliver of skin. Just enough to make Donghyuck imagine- Nope, no dirty thoughts today. Begone, thought.
Donghyuck followed Mark, getting up and stretching as well.
“Self Study sucks, no one really does the homework in school anyways.”
“Just because you don't do it doesn't mean no one else does. And also, you're just lucky to be smart enough to be able to just sit down in front of your homework and, poof, it's done. Fucking smart-ass.”
“Mmh, but you love it,” Donghyuck cooed, throwing himself at Mark and winding his arm around his shoulders. He sort of hated saying stuff like that but at the same time, he supposed those would be the only times he'd have the chance to.
Mark rolled his eyes again but he brought his hand up and linked their fingers together. He bumped their heads together and grabbed their bags, complaining, “I don't love it. You call me a nerd but then you're over here breezing through all the formulas and whatever while complaining you're not good at it. I hate it, actually. You suck.”
Donghyuck only grinned and took his bag from Mark, slinging it over his shoulder. They made their way out of the room and headed towards the one Hendery and Lucas had their class in.
Technically, Mark and Donghyuck's day had already ended with Self Study, the school not requiring them to be present during that period if it was their last, but they had promised to go out with their friends for some ice cream before the party in the evening.
Jeno, Renjun and Shotaro were already leaning against the wall next to Lucas and Hendery's room, students only barely avoiding bumping into them. Renjun raised a hand in greeting when he spotted Donghyuck and Mark, shouting, “Hey, losers, over here.”
“Yeah, we know, dumbass,” Donghyuck retorted, lightly shoving at Renjun's shoulder. Mark went into a handshake with Jeno, consequently slipping out of Dongyuck's grasp. Donghyuck had to resist the urge to boast about their handshake, to show off their connection. Being jealous of Jeno for a simple handshake wasn't exactly something Donghyuck was proud of.
“Oh, you're here,” Lucas' voice pulled Donghyuck out of his thoughts, making him smile instead. Lucas just brought positive vibes with him, it was impossible not to feel good around him. “Let's go, Jaemin and Dejun are already waiting out front. Jaemin even remembered to bring his pills today.”
“Sounds like he has some drugs,” Shotaro remarked as they started walking, Donghyuck and Mark falling into step next to each other. “Not just lactase.”
“Maybe he does,” Donghyuck murmured, leaning closer to Shotaro but the younger only gave him an unimpressed look. Next to Donghyuck, Mark snorted and shook his head. Donghyuck's dumb heart skipped a beat at the thought of Mark liking his humour. Of course he liked his humour, they were best friends.
That was something Donghyuck seemed to constantly forget. They were best friends, not a couple, not people who could be intimate with each other in the way Donghyuck wanted them to be, made moves to be, so often. He should get a grip and stop trying to be closer to Mark than he was supposed to, for his and Mark's own good. Still, Donghyuck knew he wouldn't just be able to stop being clingy all together. That was just him and he wasn't going to let his own feelings take it away from him.
Mark, scrunching his nose in that disgustingly adorable way, chuckled, “If anyone in our group had drugs it would be Jaemin. And he'd probably make better money with it than Dejun with his actual job.”
Mark's pinky brushed against Donghyuck's and Donghyuck nodded as he tried to form a coherent sentence in his brain. Hendery saved him though, falling back from where he'd been walking with Lucas and the others, grinning, “Dejun's underpaid. I could make better money with a baking sale than he does with his job in a month.”
Again, Mark's pinky brushed against Donghyuck's. Mark turned to look at Hendery.
“Maybe we should tell him to find a different job.”
They brushed again.
“The day Dejun gets brave enough to quit is the day I'm gonna confess my love to him.”
Again.
“That sentence would've been more impressive if you didn't do it every day.”
Again.
“I know. It's still true though, unless I, for some reason, stop doing it in the future but until he seriously tells me to stop I don't think that's ever gonna happen.”
Again. Donghyuck had enough. He hooked his pinky around Mark's and pulled just slightly, enough to command Mark's attention. Mark looked at Donghyuck's eyes, down at their pinkies and grinned.
If Donghyuck didn't know Mark was a total dork and Donghyuck just had a casual crush, he would have blushed. But, alas, he'd known him for years and almost all of his feelings were internalised now, so Donghyuck only squeezed Mark's pinky and pretended his head wasn't filling with all the ways to describe the feeling of their hands being linked like this. And Mark didn't even know the impact he had on Donghyuck.
When their group stepped out of the school, Donghyuck almost immediately spotted Jaemin, the younger obvious with his eccentric blue hair colour. Sometimes, Donghyuck wanted to have Jaemin's parents just so that he could dye his hair pink or something. Donghyuck's own parents were weird in the sense of letting him go to parties and leaving him alone at home for a few days but not letting him dye his hair.
“You're late,” Dejun complained when they finally reached, only to be drowned out by Hendery screaming, “Dejun, love of my life, light of my day, the cutie to my pie! Did you know that I love you?”
Dejun groaned but let himself be very enthusiastically hugged by Hendery while mumbling, “I hate you. I hate you so much.”
“The cutiepie thing was new though,” Mark commented as they all started walking again, Hendery still clinging to Dejun. “You've gotta give him credit for that. I, for one, would've never thought of that.”
“Why would I give him credit for harassing me?”
“Ah, but you're letting him harass you.”
“I am not-”
“It's because he loves me just as much as he loves mint choco,” Hendery piped up, looking smug. Dejun jutted out his lower lip but didn't say anything else, so Donghyuck just smiled and shook his head. He would never get the dynamic of those two.
Their friends in front of them were bickering over something or another, Donghyuck could pick up something about ice cream flavours, Dejun and Hendery next to them were in their own little world and Mark and Donghyuck were walking with intertwined pinkies, watching their friends like an old couple on a park bench.
It ended up like that often, their group splitting as they walked but ending up a big chaotic mess as soon as they sat down or generally just arrived wherever they were headed.
This time wasn't any different. As soon as they had arrived at the café and everyone had ordered and gotten their respective ice cream, it got loud.
“I wanna sit on that bench, it's the most comfortable.”
“Then sit on that bench but we're not all gonna fit anyways. I say we should go over to where we can all sit on that weird long thing.”
“Let's just sit on the ground.”
“That's so unsanitary.”
“Fuck you.”
Donghyuck snorted as he watched Renjun slowly losing whatever was left of his sanity, ending in the elder screaming, “Shut the fuck up, we'll end up sitting on the ground anyways! Why do you always have to argue about the same thing every time? You know how it's gonna end.”
“It's fun,” Jaemin pouted, hooking his arm under Renjun's and snuggling into his side.
Renjun was right though, they always argued and then they decided to just sit on the ground in the grass or on their jackets because then they could sit in a circle without bothering anyone. Donghyuck watched as Mark made the first move to sit down, throwing his bag and jacket onto the ground and holding his ice cream high as he sat down. Sitting down next to him, Donghyuck witnessed the tragedy from up close.
Mark, with his massive-ass scoop, licked once, long and happy, and then watched with horror as his ice cream fell to the floor. Everyone stopped for a second, in the middle of sitting down, before they started laughing, Donghyuck included. Mark's lips slipped into a pout and he brought out his puppy eyes as he held his, now empty, cone in front of him, a bit towards Donghyuck.
“Hyuckie...” Donghyuck was weak against Mark as it was and paired with puppy eyes and that whining tone, he was already gone. Still, he held his ground a little bit, telling Mark to throw his fallen ice cream away if he wanted some of Donghyuck's. Mark did as told, whining under his breath as their friends re-enacted the tragic scene.
Donghyuck chuckled and joined in, boasting that he had had front row seats. Renjun voiced his disappointment in not having them.
“He's never gonna live that down, is he?” Shotaro asked and everyone agreed at the same time with various words.
When Mark got back though, everyone had moved on already, loud conversations establishing themselves in their group, every single one of them involved in at least two. Donghyuck was discussing which transformer was the most attractive with Lucas and Shotaro, while, from time to time, chiming into Jeno, Jaemin and Hendery's less heated conversation about the new Lego movie.
Mark sat down next to Donghyuck again, scooting closer and leaning in to immediately slurp at his chocolate chip ice cream. With Mark's head so close, Donghyuck used the opportunity to plant a kiss right on his temple.
It was moments like this that Donghyuck was grateful for being affectionate with everyone because that was what made it possible for him to sometimes give in to his urges without alarming anyone. Mark only scowled a bit as he pulled away, a bit of ice cream on the corners of his mouth, but didn't say anything. Instead he leaned in again and slurped a bit more before pressing a sticky, chocolate kiss onto Donghyuck's cheek.
It was kind of disgusting honestly, which had probably been Mark's goal, but Donghyuck's face still tingled and his heart soared.
No denying it, he was never gonna get out of what he had gotten himself into.
Donghyuck flopped down on his bed with a groan and Mark followed, landing beside him. Turning his head, Donghyuck shuffled closer, successfully pressing their sides together and burying his face in Mark's neck.
“I don't wanna go anymore,” he mumbled, “I wanna sleep. Tell Hendery that I suddenly fell sick or something.”
Mark chuckled and shook his head.
“Nah, we gotta go. I just hope he didn't invite too many people, they always try to talk to me and it stresses me out,” he sighed while petting Donghyuck's head. “You're the social butterfly out of the two of us, why do they wanna talk to me?”
“You're, like, the top student.”
Mark only let out a long groan in response before rolling away from Donghyuck and off the bed, landing on the floor with a quiet thump. Donghyuck followed his example, groaning, rolling, landing. Silence.
“We should get up.”
“I don't wanna.”
“The party starts in, like, an hour.”
“We should just be fashionably late, y'know, like the cool kids.”
Mark laughed from the other side of the bed and Donghyuck could hear his bones cracking as he got up. The elder yawned and said, “I don't think three hours counts as fashionably late when it comes to parties with half a curfew.”
“A curfew nobody cares about,” Donghyuck retorted but took Mark's offered hand to get pulled off of the ground. Their hands stayed connected for longer than Donghyuck thought was normal but maybe he was just imagining things according to his fantasy of Mark liking him back.
“It's still a curfew,” Mark grinned as he let go, turning around to grab his ‘party clothes’ he had jammed into his school bag.
“Let's just get ready.”
“Does a party still count as a party when you have to get your own alcohol?” Lucas mused a few hours later, lounging on Hendery's living room couch. Donghyuck only hummed in response, feeling like he was gonna melt and be one with the couch cushions soon. He was just not feeling it and it didn't help that he had lost Mark somewhere in the crowd a while ago.
YangYang, who had just recovered from his cold, however, spoke, “Asking your parents to buy you beer and bringing it with you doesn't count as getting your own alcohol. Not to mention that Hendery literally invited people who always bring alcohol because they're allowed to buy it.”
“How does he even know those people?” Shotaro asked, almost sitting on the armrest in an attempt to keep a safe distance from YangYang. Donghyuck shrugged, as did YangYang. Lucas made some kind of low noise before answering, “His brother was in their year and he befriended them way back in elementary school.”
“He has a brother?” Donghyuck wondered, his question getting drowned out by some girl bursting into the room with a loud shout, telling everyone to get up and dance, before pulling out a bluetooth speaker and playing some bass boosted remix of a song Donghyuck originally liked. With all the bass he couldn't make out which song it exactly was, though.
Donghyuck made a face and painstakingly got up with the help of Lucas, not to dance though, but to trudge into the kitchen next door to get something to drink. Something non-alcoholic, preferably.
Normally, Donghyuck was more hyped for parties but today he just wasn't feeling it, tired and missing Mark.
He got himself a glass of apple juice and leaned against the counter in hopes of anyone he knew to appear and talk to him. Technically, he could go looking for Mark but ever since he had seen him laughing way too brightly at something some cheerleader had said, followed up with him leaning into her personal space, Donghyuck had felt his motivation to do so dwindling. Maybe he was being petty or something of the sort but he didn't care too much how it looked. Curse those feelings of his.
"Hey Donghyuck, long time no see, huh?” someone said and Donghyuck looked up, feeling like the voice was familiar but being unable to place it.
“Ten,” Donghyuck greeted when his eyes landed on the Thai man, the several piercings and sharp eyes immediately registering in his mind. “How's your dance class going? Sorry I couldn't come anymore.”
“It's fine. It's not like you just quit without any explanation. Feel free to come by anytime and just pop in, though, if you still like to dance.” Ten smiled, clinking his glass against Donghyuck's. There was something so relaxing about him, Donghyuck immediately fell back into casual conversation with him as if they hadn't not seen each other for years. That allowed Donghyuck to learn that Ten was apparently one of the guys in Hendery's brother's year and also his boyfriend, leading to Donghyuck commenting about how he had learned of Hendery's brother just this night but he had known his brother's boyfriend for years. Ten had laughed at it.
Talking with Ten was easy and made Donghyuck more awake. People squeezed past them to get to the drinks but they didn't move anywhere else, Ten admitting to hiding from ‘the youth’ and Donghyuck not feeling like getting back out there.
“We should go.”
Donghyuck startled at the voice right next to his ear, not having seen anyone come in. He turned his head and came face to face with Mark. The elder leaned in, one hand settling on Donghyuck's waist, his head almost hitting his shoulder. “The stress isn't good for the baby.”
Despite himself, Donghyuck glanced down at Mark's stomach before looking back up at him again.
“What baby?”
“Me,” Mark deadpanned before closing his eyes in a drawn-out blink. Donghyuck had to hold back a laugh as he nodded, winding his arm around Mark.
“Did people try to talk with you again?”
Mark nodded, shifting his gaze towards Ten. He squinted for a second before a smile made its way onto his face as he said, “Ten, I haven't seen you in years. How's it going with the business? With Kun?”
Donghyuck wasn't even surprised Mark knew about Hendery's brother and his relationship with Ten atop of that. Somehow, Mark knew way more than Donghyuck did at all times even though Donghyuck was supposed to be the super smart one. Well, being smart didn't have anything to do with knowing about other people.
Ten grinned and answered Mark in the same way he had Donghyuck. Everything was fine, everything was going to continue being fine in the foreseeable future. Donghyuck looked at Mark as he talked with Ten, the other boy's eyes still obviously tired but shining with genuine interest. Ah, Donghyuck was a fool for those eyes.
“Didn't you say we should go?” Donghyuck whispered to Mark when there was a lull in the conversation, ‘the youth’, apparently Renjun, having found Ten and pestering him about art something or another, Donghyuck couldn't keep up. Mark hummed and leaned even more into Donghyuck, pressing the sides of their heads together.
“Yeah, let's say bye and go. Uh, I'm tired but I also wanna tell you something but, like, not here.”
Donghyuck raised his eyebrows but complied. They made their way over to the furiously gesturing Ten and Renjun to say goodbye, only getting a fleeting yeah, bye before they continued doing whatever they were doing.
Finding Lucas in the next room over wasn't so hard as he basically towered over everyone else. YangYang, Shotaro, Dejun and Hendery were crowded around him, hanging into his every word as he spoke a mix of English, Korean and Mandarin, maybe even some Cantonese.
Donghyuck glanced at Mark and Mark glanced back. Both of them broke into grins and decided to just send a message on their group chat since none of them would probably even notice anything else at the moment.
As Donghyuck opened the group chat, he saw that Jeno and Jaemin had apparently had the same idea, having sent a message saying they were tired and gonna leave, wishing everyone a good night. Donghyuck decided to just send, same. It had to suffice.
Mark removed his arm from around Donghyuck, instead taking his hand and, goddamn that definitely more than crush, Donghyuck's heart rate went through the roof. How dare Mark be all cute and cuddly and warm and still take Donghyuck's hand?
Mark's warm smile, soft gaze, gentle squeeze of his hand made Donghyuck about faint, everything accumulating at once. Donghyuck wasn't used to such gentleness, such softness, while holding hands with Mark and he doubted he'd ever get used to it at all.
Oh man, Donghyuck was totally fucked.
“So, what did you want to tell me?”
Donghyuck and Mark were lying on Donghyuck's bed, comfortable under the covers, Donghyuck's night light being the only source of light.
It had bugged Donghyuck all the way back and while they were getting ready for bed but he hadn't found the right time to ask and Mark hadn't said anything in particular so Donghyuck had waited until they were in bed.
Next to him, Mark took a few quiet breaths before turning to his side. Donghyuck turned as well, looking at Mark, at the way his eyes shone in the barely existing light.
“I searched something up on wikihow but I'm gonna skip, like, all of the steps. Kinda,” Mark said and that wasn't exactly what Donghyuck had expected. He didn't know what he had expected but Mark telling him he was going to skip every step of a wikihow article wasn't it.
So he furrowed his brows and asked, “Okay, and what does that have to do with me? Should I congratulate you on skipping wikihow steps or something?”
Mark snorted and shook his head. He scooted a little closer to Donghyuck, tentatively holding out a hand. Donghyuck, though confused as to what all of this was, reached out and linked their fingers, their hands resting between them on the bed.
“Is everything okay? Normally you don't do this out of your own volition,” Donghyuck murmured, receiving a huff in return.
“Yeah, everything's just fine. I just thought you'd appreciate me being more affectionate, what with your weird overly intimate ways,” Mark replied. Donghyuck let go of Mark's hand to hit the elder's shoulder and regretted it a second later as he realized he couldn't casually slide his hand into Mark's again.
Still, he protested, “I'm not weird or overly intimate, you ass. You're weird.”
Mark stuck out his tongue at Donghyuck and reached out to ruffle Donghyuck's hair a tiny bit forcefully. Donghyuck whined and pulled away, getting ready to counterattack. He threw the covers back, quickly crawling over to Mark and throwing himself on him, tucking the blanket under the boy as fast as he could.
Mark squirmed, letting out a weird little scream. He somehow got his arm free but Donghyuck was fast enough to wrestle him down, just barely holding him. However, they had wrestled like this countless times before and apparently Mark knew how to handle Donghyuck now. He held still and leaned up just a little, enough to press his lips against Donghyuck's knee, startling him.
Mark used the opportunity of Donghyuck's grip weakening to free both of his arms this time, turning and throwing Donghyuck off, landing on top of him.
“You little-” Mark spat through gritted teeth, his fingers finding their way to Donghyuck's sides, causing Donghyuck to scream and flail.
“No! Let me live! Let go, you sneaky bastard!”
Mark laughed but let up after a few more seconds, falling heavily down next to Donghyuck, heaving almost as much as Donghyuck.
“Because of you we got totally off track,” Mark rasped. “Man, I gotta drink something.”
“You're getting old,” Donghyuck joked, still breathless, but he still got up, groaning as he did so. Mark only huffed and forced himself up as well, scooting to the end of Donghyuck's bed and standing up.
Just as Donghyuck turned to leave his room, Mark stepped up from behind him, slipping his hand into Donghyuck's, just like he'd done at the party. Donghyuck didn't even startle this time, only squeezed Mark's hand and started making his way out of his room, through the hallway, into the kitchen.
“D'you want water or something else?”
“Nah, water's good enough.”
Donghyuck hummed and opened the cabinet to take out two glasses, the first one almost slipping from his grasp when Mark sidled up to him and placed his chin on Donghyuck's shoulder.
Swearing, Donghyuck gripped the glass tight. He set it down maybe a bit too violently before turning with wide eyes, Mark's dark brown ones almost too close for his liking. In the brightness of the kitchen light, Donghyuck could make out tiny specks that were a little lighter. He couldn't believe he had never noticed them before, considering it made Mark's eyes even more beautiful.
“Um, you alright?” Donghyuck asked and Mark nodded, pouting, “I just wanted the water now.”
“And you get that by... putting your head on my shoulder?”
“Mh, yes?”
Donghyuck snorted, shaking his head. He didn't exactly know what was going on but he didn't have that much against Mark being more affectionate. At least now that he had himself under control just a bit more.
As it seemed to be Mark's wish, Donghyuck grabbed the water bottle and poured most of it into the glass he had set down, picking it up to hand it to Mark.
Thanking Donghyuck, Mark backed off and let go of Donghyuck's hand, instead leaning against the countertop next to him, gulping down the water.
“Slow down or you're gonna choke,” Donghyuck warned as he poured himself some water as well. Mark didn't listen, he never did when it came to things like these, continuing to chug the water as if he would die if he took a little breather in between.
Taking a sip of his own water, Donghyuck rolled his eyes, already anticipating Mark almost dying.
However, it seemed Mark wasn't the one who would almost die, it was Donghyuck. And the cause was Mark.
Just as Donghyuck took another sip, a bigger one this time, Mark finished his water, slammed the glass down on the countertop so hard it cracked a tiny bit and said, very loudly and very confidently, “Donghyuck, I like you very much. Please go out with me.”
Donghyuck choked on his water, spluttering all over the place as he coughed it up. He set his glass down as carefully as he could with his body shaken up by coughs, curling in on himself.
“Oh shit,” Mark swore, immediately by Donghyuck's side to lay a warm hand on his back, rubbing circles, thumping a little. “Sorry, I didn't think you'd be that surprised. Also, I think I kinda broke your glass just now, um, sorry.”
“Fucking hell, Mark,” Donghyuck croaked. He clung to the counter as if it was his lifeline, trying to process what had just happened. Mark's exclamation, confession if Donghyuck wasn't somehow wrongly reading into things, had come out of nowhere and Donghyuck had honestly never even thought he'd get one. In his dreams maybe but never in reality.
Looking back on it now though, Mark had been sending signals since a while back, lingering touches and looks, initiating skinship by himself more often, going along just a bit more willingly with Donghyuck's schemes.
Still, Donghyuck could hardly believe it. He took another sip from his own glass to get rid of that nasty feeling in his throat before turning to face Mark.
The older boy was standing there, a shy smile on his face and his shoulders hunched a little. The hand that had been on Donghyuck's back had fallen back to Mark's side, picking at his pajama pants.
“I'm gonna be honest with you,” Donghyuck started seriously and Mark nodded with his puppy eyes already on full display. “I never thought I'd almost die after getting a confession from you.”
Mark sighed, the tension that had been in his body mostly leaving as he lightly hit Donghyuck.
“Just respond already, you doofus,” he pouted as he crossed his arms, looking way too cute like that.
Donghyuck grinned, grabbing Mark by the hips to pull him closer. Mark stumbled a little and caught himself by placing his hands on Donghyuck's shoulders, his pout now accompanied by a frown.
Softly, Donghyuck brushed Mark's hair away from his forehead before placing a kiss on the older boy's nose.
“I like you very much, as well. I'll go out with you, Mark Lee.”
Mark beamed the smile making butterflies run wild in Donghyuck's stomach and the glance Mark directed towards Donghyuck's lips making his head fuzzy.
“Can I kiss you?” Mark asked just a second later and Donghyuck didn't waste any time to nod.
Their lips connected in a sweet kiss, broken glass and initial tiredness forgotten as Mark kissed Donghyuck in his kitchen and Donghyuck kissed back. Mark's hands were warm and comfortably heavy in Donghyuck's hair, on the back of his neck and for a second, Donghyuck had enough time to think how much of a pity it was that he couldn't pull him closer.
“You make my heart beat faster and body all tingly when you're as cute as you are,” Mark mumbled when they pulled away and Donghyuck silently agreed.
Though Donghyuck was done for, maybe Mark was too.
