Chapter Text
Bugs and Daffy sat at a cafe table. Bugs holding a coffee, and Daffy had tea, and cake.
"What are you doing tonight?" Daffy asked, grabbing his fork, and stabbing a piece of the cake.
Bugs rested his elbow on the table, his chin buried in his hand, "nothing really."
Daffy frowned, and he raised an eyebrow, "nothing?"
"Nothing," Bugs answered. His eyes wondered over Daffy's deep eyes, and lovely, black as night feathers, "why?"
Daffy frowned, and looked over Bugs' soft fur, and lovely long ears. Really, Daffy should have said something along the lines of 'well, lets go out together!' it's what they sometimes do. Go out for lunch, or go for a walk around the park, but... well. The two were best friends. Well, Daffy liked him a bit more than a friend, a lot more than a friend, however Bugs didn't run that way. At least, not as far as Daffy was concerned. "No reason," he lied, sipping his tea.
Bugs looked over Daffy, his eyes tracing Daffy's pear shaped body. Daffy really is a beautiful sight. If Bugs was honest, he'd throw everything away if it meant making Daffy happy, he'd throw everything away if Daffy asked, he'd throw everything away if it mean Bugs could ask Daffy out on an actual date, not a hang out, a date. Bugs found Daffy hilarious, and cute, a real riot, and he was... well, Bugs liked Daffy more than a friend liked a friend. But, they're friends, and Bugs wouldn't push it, "okay..."
Daffy looked down to the table, and drew circles with his index finger. Maybe he should just ask Bugs to hang out? But, what if it goes horribly wrong? "You got your eye on anyone?" Daffy asked suddenly, and before he could stop himself. He winced, and immediately felt everything grow tense between them.
"Uh, yeah..." Bugs said, the 'you' was left unsaid, "why?"
"Well, I wouldn't want to keep you away from the girl." Daffy said, voice harsh, and jealous. Who had Bugs' attention?! Who was she?
Bugs' eyes widened, and said, "no! No, no! You're not, don't worry! I prefer you!" How else could he say he likes Daffy, without specifically saying 'I like you, Daffy'?
Daffy smiled shyly, and looked down, but... well, Bugs was always a bit softer around him, nicer. So, who knows if the rabbit was telling the truth? "Yeah, well... I have to go anyway..."
"What? But, you've not even finished you—"
Daffy stood up quickly, pushing the chair back. It slammed to the ground with a loud clatter, "I know, but things to do, places to be! Bye Bugsy!" He rushed off, his beak a bright red because; who calls Bugs 'Bugsy'?! 'Could I be anymore obvious?!' He thought, completely embarrassed.
'What did I do? Does he hate me?!' Bugs thought frantically, and his mind fell back to the last few shows that they did together, to try and find if anything could have upset Daffy. No, nothing, nothing out of the ordinary. He sighed, slouching into his seat. He just hoped he could fix this, he didn't want to loose his duck.
He got up, back slouched, going on a walk. Well, it would have been a walk in which he reflected upon his and Daffy's friendship, with a one-sided crush on Bugs half, as it had been for years, literally since they started to work together, until Elmer Fudd popped out of nowhere, trying to shoot him. As usual.
Bugs, deciding this would be the perfect distraction, ran off with a bright smile plastered on his face, dodging bullets.
"You irascible bunny! Come back here, you screwy rodent!" Yelled Elmer, chasing Bugs through the park, gun pointed.
Bugs kept running, kicking up dust as he did, smiling. He froze suddenly, halfway down the path, and looked to you, "l'll be with you in a second, folks, after l finish with nature boy here." He promised, jabbing his thumb in Elmer's direction.
A gun was slammed against his temple, and Bugs went stiff, his eyes wide and panicked. There's no Daffy to help him get out of this one, oh no! But, to hide his worry, remembering that Elmer never gets him, he calmed down and gave Elmer a smug look, his hands behind his back.
"All right, you pesky rabbit. I've got you now!" Elmer grinned, and cocked the gun, but suddenly, a ramp slammed on, shaking the ground, and turning him into an Elmer Fudd pancake. "Ouch!"
Bugs rattled, and jumped with the shaking of the ramp. He hummed, and looked up the ramp to see five aliens, one green, one purple, one blue, one red, and one orange, who seemed to be the leader. In case you didn't know, in order of written, these are; Bang, Bupkus, Blanko, Nawt, and Pound.
Pound stepped forward with his chubby body, and grinned, "one small step for moi..." The others yelled, and fist bumped the air in triumph.
"One giant leap for Moron Mountain!" Yelled Bang, jumping forward, slamming a flag down with the sign of 'Moron Mountain' on. However, he accidentally stabbed it into Pound's foot, and he screamed in pain.
Bugs rocked on his feet, looking down to Elmer, who had stars around his head. "And one whopper headache for Elmer Fudd." He stopped smirking, and looked up with a frown, seeing the aliens walk down the ramp. Huh, they're small... just barely past his foot, and they really had to look up to look into his eyes. "Diminutive, ain't they?" He shrugged.
"We seek the one they call Bugs Bunny." Bang said, looking up to Bugs, not yet realising he was talking to Bugs Bunny.
Bugs swallowed, he knew he would get out of this, he always does! However, it doesn't make him any less nervous! He crossed his arms, looking at ease.
"Yeah, Bugs Bunny." Smiled Nawt, looking around excited.
"Have you seen him?" Asked Bang.
Bupkus looked around, while Blanko looked blank.
"Where is he?" Asked Pound.
"ls he around?" Asked Blanko.
They really had no idea he was Bugs Bunny! He looked to you with a gleam on his eyes, and a subtle smirk. He looked to the aliens, and hummed, rubbing his chin, "Bugs Bunny, Bugs Bunny." He pointed to them as if having a thought, "say, does he have great big long ears? Like this?" He pulled at his big long ears, the very same ones he let's Daffy mess with when the duck is either stressed or bored. He leaned over the aliens, showing off the ears.
They all smiled, and began nodding, all calling out in unison.
Bugs rubbed his chin, squinting as if thinking. "Does he hop around like this?" He jumped off, getting on all fours, and hopped around a tree and a bush, and then past the aliens, who all nodded with big smiles
"Does he say, 'What's up, doc?' like this?" Bugs shot back over to them, and leaned on Pound who seemed angry with the rabbit now. (How dare Bugs use the small alien like that?!) He pulled out a carrot, eyes closed, and chomped on it, "what's up, doc?"
The aliens all cheered, hands raised in delight, jumping for joy.
Bugs had already begun to walk off as he waved his hand dismissively, "nope! Never heard of him!"
They all sagged, pouting and let out pitiful whines.
"You know," Bugs whispered, looking to you. "Maybe there is no intelligent life out in the universe after all." He smiled. He couldn't wait to tell Daffy this! His duck would find it hilarious! He hummed, minding in his own business.
A loud laser was shot. The surrounding area of where he stood was lit aflame, the sky was red, and the trees gone, the floor black, and the piece of land he stood on was surrounded by a big crater now, he couldn't leave. He was grey, smoking, and his whiskers were ruined, and his ears were straight out to his side, then fell back against his head.
"Hold on there, Mr. Looney Tune." Bang said.
Bugs turned around with a gulp. For once in Bugs very long life, he was terrified. His hands shot up.
The aliens stood their with evil grins, and large guns pointed at him.
"What do you think we are? Stupid?" Asked Bupkus annoyed.
"Don't move a muscle." Nawt warned.
Pound grinned, "okay, bunny, gather up your Tune pals. We're taking you for a ride!" He laughed evilly, and Bugs stared at him.
"Totally. All right!" Blanko smiled, jumping with a ditsy smile. He rushed to Pound, "so, like, where are we going?" Pound stared, unimpressed, and slapped his face. Blanko flopped side to side, dizzy, "are we there yet?"
But all Bugs could focus on was the chains Bang and Nawt held... oh no. He just hoped that Daffy would be safe with whatever these alien's wanted...
