Work Header

we were too close to the stars, I never knew somebody like you.

Summary:

To be honest, Shouto never really liked Tenko. He was this short, pale looking guy with black hair and blood red eyes who Touya seemed to like for some reason he couldn't quite get. He was just as annoying as his brother, if not worse. The first time he saw Tenko, he really thought that maybe it was all physical and that they'd break up within a week or two. But it really shocked him to see they managed to stay together for four months.

Now Shouto, not liking Tenko whatsoever, is stubborn enough to break them up in the most worst possible way. And things go miserably wrong.

Work Text:

Katsuki and Shouto, having been dating for about 3 months now, decided to meet each other's parents. Shouto already met the Bakugous and they've been nothing but warm and welcoming. They accepted him as their own. In short: he was approved for being their son's boyfriend. Which is of course, after they threatened to hunt him down if he ever dared to hurt their son. Shouto gulped and nodded. The Bakugous can be quite scary and protective if they wanted.

But here's the problem.

The Todorokis were a bit different with things like tradition and acceptance. Shouto's sure he wouldn't have trouble with his sexuality since his brother, Touya, is dating a guy from his grade. Both his parents and siblings know about it. What he is afraid of is them not accepting Bakugou Katsuki who is unique and pretty and angry (deep down Katsuki is a softie, Shouto concludes and would fight anyone who disagrees) and quite the catch but they wouldn't understand, obviously.

So when he announces his family, during dinner, for all of them to be present tomorrow at this table because he'll be introducing his beloved and their beautiful future son-in-law, brother-in-law, whatever, they're not so surprised. "And I'm gay," he adds in the end.

"Thank you for being honest about your sexuality with me, Shouto." His dad speaks up, breaking the stretching silence.

"Hah! I knew you are gay!" Natsuo says. No, screams. "You never paid much attention to girls anyway."

"I'm so happy for you, Shouto." Fuyumi encourages him and his mother gives him a bright smile.

And then he speaks. "Oh? I see. Who's that unlucky soul, huh?" Shouto needs to calm down. He knows by Touya's annoying grin that he's just messing with him to get a reaction, he should know better. Instead of answering back he decides to throw him a fake smile.

"So you're bringing him here tomorrow?" Shouto nods to his mother's question. "Oh my, I need to prepare something. It's not everyday my baby boy brings someone home."

"Mom, I'll help! And you two will help us too."

"Noo," Natsuo whines and Touya grumpily says from beside him. "Uh, count me out."

"Not fair. Everyone needs to do something."

"Fine. Only if you let me bring my boyfriend too." Touya conditions, raising his index finger.

All eyes land on Shouto and he realizes that they're only left of his approval since it's his event. The bicolour male looks at Touya who is staring right back at him. 'How bad can it be?' He thinks and agrees.

***

It can be very, very bad. Why did he not think of this before? He knew Touya's boyfriend, Tenko Shimura, so well then why hadn't he realised that things can go so wrong?

To be honest, Shouto never really liked Tenko. He was this short, pale looking guy with black hair and blood red eyes who Touya seemed to like for some reason he couldn't quite get. He was just as annoying as his brother, if not worse. Unlike him, Touya was always kind of open and confident about his sexuality, so he didn't hesitate introducing Tenko after a week of dating. Shouto, even with his parents' support, was a bit shy and insecure with that. The first time he saw Tenko, he really thought that maybe it was all physical and that they'd break up within a week or two. But it really shocked him to see they managed to stay together for four months.

When they arrived at the Todoroki residence, Tenko smiled cheekily at him when he opened the door to greet Shouto and Katsuki. "Well, hi, Shouto."

"Hello."

Tenko stands aside for them to come in. Fuyumi's footsteps become louder as she excitedly greets them, "Hi, Shouto and you must be Katsuki. Nice to meet you!" She envelops Katsuki in a hug.

"And you must be Fuyumi Oneesan. Nice to finally fucking meet you." Katsuki says with a real smile, hugging her back.

"Shouto, Fuyumi Oneesan, mom is calling you at the table." Tenko says from beside them.

Tenko had the audacity to call his mom, mom. He has to laugh. Shouto doesn't know how his mom and Tenko get along considering their polar opposite personalities. It's like those relationships shown in the dramas: wholesome mother-in-law and son-in-law. In Fact he has a good relationship with Fuyumi, Natsuo and his dad too. It's just Shouto who he doesn't get along with. Maybe because he can't cook or maybe because Shouto never gave him a chance to begin with.

The people around the table roared to life as they saw Katsuki. They're so happy to meet him, especially his mom. He's mainly scared regarding his dad's thoughts and even if he disapproves of his happiness then who cares what he thinks? Shouto loves Katsuki and that matters only. From his expression, Shouto concludes that he's not unhappy or anything, he's just shocked to see Shouto's type in a significant other. He might have expected everything but Bakugou Katsuki, an independent, hot tempered and sweet only-when-wants-to-be boy.

Shouto introduces his family to Katsuki and then he turns to Tenko. "This is Tenko, my brother Touya's boyfriend." Tenko waves at the blond and gestures to him to sit beside him. Shouto warns Katsuki, whispering, "He might be a little much to handle but he's only teasing." With that Katsuki goes and takes a seat beside the black haired man.

"I recognize you from school." This time Touya speaks, "You're from Shouto's grade right? The guy who snaps at anything that walks?" Shouto rolls his eyes, 'Again with the teasing.'

Katsuki's eyebrows twitched, an irritated smile played on his lips, "Oniisan didn't really notice you there. Oh wait, you recognize me? I must be fucking famous then but I, on the other hand, never heard about a Touya Todoroki until today." Katsuki says politely, yet venom drips in his voice.

Lies. Everyone knew Touya. He's the famous, hot senior and the most handsome man on campus. He's every boy's competition and every girl's Prince Charming. Too bad he's taken. Students talk about him, teachers talk about him, his grades are better than average and good at sports. He's outgoing and confident, the pride of the family. He's everything Shouto isn't.

Tenko’s laughter lessens the tension in the room. Soon dinner is served and happy chatters fill the air.

Shouto from across the table is watching how Tenko is disturbing Katsuki. He's not sure if he should interrupt. But then again he can always ask Katsuki later, so he doesn't pay mind to them anymore.

Katsuki can feel blood red eyes burning holes into his side, so he turns around to catch the culprit in action. "Quit staring and just ask me whatever the fuck you want to already."

Tenko's eyes light up at that, "You know, you're not so bad. Now, don't you think the future Todorokis should get to know each other better?" Katsuki thinks if that's necessary for a second. Then he realizes that maybe it is because he has got it bad for that halfie. Even though he's a dumbass most of the time, he loves him and wants to marry the shit outta him one day. And if he does that, he needs to get along with the rest of the family.

Getting no objections from the blond, the black haired man continues, "So, did you two kiss?"

Heat reaches its way to Katsuki's cheeks, ears burning pink. No they didn't! They've just been dating for three months and kissing is a big step, in his opinion. He shakes his head no.

"Whaaat?? You haven't? Touya kissed me right after he asked me out," Tenko shrugs. Ah, of course they had. They look like the couple to do so. "That  means you guys haven't gotten to do the fun parts of a relationship yet."

Katsuki chokes on water. "The fuck you on about, huh?" He's so frustrated that his voice cracks.

"I mean I understand you're too young. But let me tell you something. Safe sex is very important… it uh… prevents from spreading disease. You can always come to me for advice, okay? And it's gonna be your first time right? You just tell him your limits if it’s too much to handle. But once you get the hang of it, oh god," Tenko makes droopy eyes at him as he bites down on his thin lips, "the pleasure-"

"OH MY GOD STOP. WHAT THE FUCK?"

Everyone stops whatever they were doing and looks at the blond who just bursted. His face is hot and fuming and Tenko laughs at his red face, hands clutching his stomach.

***

"Katsuki, you alright?" Shouto says, his voice laced with concern. Their hands are intertwined as they walk towards Katsuki's house in the middle of the night.

"Mhm…"

"You don't sound so sure. Did you not like my family?" The last part was barely audible, more of a whisper. Katsuki knows what this means, and it needs to be fixed now.

"No, not at all. I fucking loved them. They were all so nice to me. I just find Touya and Tenko Oniisan insufferable.”

"Ah, they can be like that sometimes. Wait no, all the time. But they were just teasing. I go through them every day." Shouto sighs before continuing, "by the way, did Tenko tell you something?"

"Yeah he asked if we kissed and had sex yet. He even managed to lecture me about safe sex in the span of two minutes. I really wanted to punch him that very moment like how do you tolerate them every single day!? They're straight up annoying-" Katsuki cuts himself off, sensing a very quiet Shouto beside him.

"Oi what the fuck happened to you all of a sudden?" He elbows the other, the idiot's probably thinking too hard in the little brain of his right now.

"Hmm? Oh, I- nothing. Just thinking about k-kiss…"

Katsuki lets go of his hand and grabs Shouto's collar to bring him down to his own height. "HUH? What did you say? You wanna kiss me so bad?"

"I...yes."

"Then kiss me, you idiot-"

Shouto doesn't let him finish and captures Katsuki's lips in a deep, slow kiss. Katsuki closes his eyes as they work their lips. It’s intoxicating and inexperienced but they don't need an expert to tell them it's the best fucking feeling ever. That they're soon going to be addicted, never getting enough of each other’s taste.

Katsuki pulls away to catch his breath when an equally panting Shouto speaks against his lips, "Your idiot."

***

Shouto finds Katsuki standing outside his house, waiting for him to walk together to school. Soon the said dual coloured hair boy is emerging out through the doors, but is having difficulties to balance the two cups of hot chocolate that Shouto brings the blond every morning while struggling to stay stable with his backpack sliding off his left shoulder. The blond scoffs fondly, and jogs over to help his boyfriend. "Mornin'"

"Kat, good morning." Shouto smiles helplessly, ranking his eyes over his busy hands, silently asking for the other's help.

Katsuki takes a cup and Shouto steadies himself. Just when they are to make their way out of the gate, a car, no a matte black Ferrari Portofino, stops right before them. Roof, undone and all.

From his peripheral vision he could see Katsuki already losing his shit and slightly leaning towards Shouto to take a look at the intruder and probably get some sense into that motherfucker. Shouto was quick to halt him from his actions and sighs.

Who was he kidding? Touya turned eighteen last week and now having the privilege to finally drive, his father had bought him a Ferrari Portofino as a present. Touya needs to show off.

"What are you trying to do, Touya?"

Touya lowers his sunglasses to the bridge of his nose, one hand still on the steering wheel while the other resting on the edge of the car. "Come on, Shouto. Stop being mean," he pouts, "I was just wondering if we could go to school together."

And did he mention that he goes to the same high school as his older brother. Just two years lower than Touya, making Shouto a first year.

"It'd be fun," spoke a voice from the seat beside his brother. A familiar mop of black hair ducked his head to the side to smile at the youngsters. 'Oh, this isn't gonna end well."

"You never offer a ride. Why today out of all days?"

"If we don't fucking hurry, we'll be late!" Katsuki reminds them.

"No reason. Hop in boys."

Starting from today this became a routine: the four of them going to school together every morning and back.

***

The bell chimes to life, indicating the last period of today. Touya and the young couple are seated in the car, waiting for the former's boyfriend to arrive.

Touya hums a tune, his elbow placed on the door and the other hand on the steering wheel. His head whipped towards his approaching boyfriend, both grinning as their eyes caught. Tenko is wearing Touya's red hoodie, which is obviously very oversized on his body, shorts which stay hidden by it and a pair of black demonia boots that are long enough to reach his calves.

The door of the passenger’s seat opens and the black haired man climbs in, Touya's gaze following his every move.

Once Tenko is seated, Touya removes his hand from the steering wheel and takes Tenko's left hand in his. Bringing their interlocked fingers to his lips, he peppers small kisses on the top of Tenko's hand. "How's the most beautiful person doing today?"

"I don't know. How are you?" Tenko flirts back, a sheepish smile playing on his lips.

"Well, I'm great now that I got to see you, baby."

Katsuki finds it revolting as much as Shouto. He quickly breaks them apart using a not so subtle cough.

It's during the evening when they came back to the Todoroki residence. Touya stops before the huge mansion door, letting others get out of the vehicle. Katsuki is busy putting everything back into his bag when Shouto's eye catches Tenko.

The older is on his phone, tapping loudly on the screen as he gets out first as he walks inside the mansion like he owns the place. On his way he calls for Touya "See you inside, babe," and blows him a kiss.

"Love you, baby," Touya replies back.

Shouto makes a disgusted face. "What do you even see in him?" Oops he might have said his thoughts out aloud.

Katsuki and Touya both give him a look. Katsuki's one was cooperatively more threatening. He grabs his hand and drags him out of the car.

Once they reach the safe of his room, Katsuki speaks up, "You don't say that to someone who is the boyfriend of the person you hate."

"I know… it just happened."

Katsuki shakes his head, "What did he do to you for you to hate him so damn much?"

"Don't you see? What they have is all physical, Kat. And with how he acts I'm not sure if he even likes Touya. And his bitchy attitude every time he's over like he fucking owns this place." Shouto huffs.

"They're eighteen. I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing."

"He's after the money. I never saw them being emotional with feelings."

"It's private-"

Angry grumbles from their starved stomach interrupts their talk.

"You hungry?"

"Uh huh."

They step down the spiral stairs and make their way to the kitchen, "Let's see if there's anything to eat-"

A sight to be seen. Kitchen is supposed to be for cooking. But this is… pure filth. Tenko and Touya making out on the counter. The taller male has the other trapped against the white counter, hands wrapped around his lithe waist. Tenko's arms are thrown over Touya's shoulders, fingers messing up the white locks. The sucking noises were getting louder but none of them spoke a word until Tenko let out a moan.

Sounds of fake gags makes them pull them apart to look at their direction. "Get a room goddammit!" Katsuki yelled from the door frame.

"Maybe we do." Touya finally declares and the black haired boy has got little to no time to react before he is suddenly being picked up by the thighs. Tenko giggles the entire time when Touya switches to princess style and carries them up to their room.

"What the fuck was that?" He asks the bicolour boy, waving his hands around dramatically. Shouto shrugs, he's way too hungry to care.

"Oh look, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Mom must have made them before she left."

"Awesome! I was really craving some, so bad."

***

They kept on finding pb&j sandwiches, sometimes hot chocolate, sometimes cookies, brownies whenever Katsuki's over, it became frequent. And coincidentally Tenko stays over too given Shouto's parents are often busy or overseas and they have the house to themselves most of the time.

But they're just too damn annoying. Shouto is used to Touya's antics by now but his damn boyfriend just won't stop pestering them. Especially Katsuki. He would ask them random stuff which is completely off topic. But they tolerate him because he makes excellent, mouth watering breakfast during the weekends.

And the couple is extremely shameless. The amount of PDA is concerning: making out limitlessly, no matter the surroundings. Witnessing his brother become a completely sappy, obedient puppy around Tenko is by far the worst. It's like the black haired man has him wrapped around his little finger. Shouto and Katsuki can be pretty cheesy themselves but it's all behind the doors. Touya lets Tenko sit on his lap while he's gaming with his friends, eating, watching T.V., literally anytime even if there are like a hundred other vacant sofas in the room.

"They're kinda cute," Katsuki looks over to the older couple. Both holding a console, blue and red eyes focused on the screen in front of them, Touya's muscular arms fastened around Tenko as he sat on his lap as always. They look comfortable.

"Yeah but I'm getting sick of this." Shouto sighs before continuing, "I just want them to break up already."

Katsuki frowns at that, "Even though I don't care but isn't it their business, Shouto?"

"I suppose, yes."

The topic is dropped and the conversation ends then and there.

***

None of them talks about it until it's the end of the weekend and they're back to school. They've separate classes on Monday so Katsuki lightly kisses Shouto's cheeks in the hallways. There are a few more minutes left till classes start.

And that's when they hear whispers beside their locker. Tenko is leaning against one of the lockers, looking up at Touya who is intently listening to whatever the black haired man is telling. They're holding hands, swaying them side by side, Shouto observes yet again.

Katsuki calls for his attention and Shouto can't help but avert his eyes back to the cute blond who is currently sulking due to the lack of attention provided. "Pay attention to me, fucker." 'Ugh, he's so adorable.’ Shouto chuckles and kisses the pout off Katsuki's tempting lips. He steals a few more kisses when he hears…

"God, I'm so gonna marry you one day!" Those words gain Shouto's concentration back. Seems like Touya decided to cut off Tenko's rant with a kiss that's too intimate for a hallway full of horny teenagers. Few gasps and squeals were heard around them but it's Tenko and Touya, so...

A book comes in between them, forcefully separating them from sucking each other's souls off by none other than their math teacher, Aizawa. He glares at the couple and indicates them to head to class.

Shouto is so done with this fake relationship. He wants it to end, really. And then as if on cue, a girl beside him speaks up.

"I wish that Tenko Shimura would just disappear." Says a girl with dyed red hair from second year. "My chances with Touya are practically gone cause' of that bitch like Touya's probably not even into guys. He's just acting up by Tenko's influence."

"Did he seduce Touya?"

"I mean it's possible. He's such a slut."

Shouto's brain lights up with a new found idea. He needs to tell Katsuki. By the time he looks back to Katsuki, he's long gone. 'Fuck. He messed up.'

***

Katsuki avoids him the entire day. Between class breaks, during lunch too. He finally confronts him at the end of school outside at a secluded area in school grounds. Students are playing soccer in the distance.

The blond avoids his eyes, gaze locked to the ground as Shouto tries to talk to him. "Kat, look at me please." The latter does not bulge. He tries again, "Listen, I'm sorry okay? I promise not to do it again." This time Katsuki does look up and it breaks Shouto's heart into pieces. His lover's eyes are shining with unshed tears, ready to let go any moment. "No, no, no. Please don't cry, Katsuki. I can't handle it."

"You're the one who's obsessed with breaking off your own brother's relationship. You barely even talk to me now, Shou and you're telling me not to cry!?" Shouto stays silent. "Today I called you at least eight times and you couldn’t care less to even say goodbye. It's like I'm the one who is carrying this relationship whereas you're too focused on someone else's relationship than yours. After all this, you don't get to tell me anything, Shou!" His voice cracks at the last sentence, Shouto pulls the shorter for a tight hug. Katsuki lets him hold him as he sobs on Shouto's shoulder.

"I'm sorry, Kat. I didn't realise you were hurting. Please don't cry, I love you." Shouto plants a kiss on top of Katsuki's forehead. He feels the hands around him tightening when he hears a small "I love you too, dumbass."

***

Shouto has to carry out his plan no matter what. After fixing the issue between them, he thinks it's finally the right time to share the plan with his lover.

"Shouto we're not doing that. That's just so harsh-"

"No, you're not getting it." Shouto interjects. "I don't want my brother living off false hope and wasting his time on someone who is only after money and fame."

"You don't know their side of the story. What if they actually love-"

"That's impossible. Have you heard the rumours about Tenko and him being a slut?"

"No. I think he's sweet even if he can be hella annoying at some point. And I'd like to judge a person considering my own experience rather than believing sick rumours."

"Okay but you know that they won't last one way or another so let's just make the process faster."

"Wasn't Touya talking about marriage the other day?"

"He's naive and doesn't know he's getting played." Shouto, ignoring Katsuki's objectives, asks again, "Are you in or no?"

"Okay, god, fine!"

***

Shouto is lounging in his room when he hears a series of frantic knocks interrupt his activities. He opens the door with bored eyes to see Touya perched against the door. "What?"

"You coming to Chisaki's party this Friday?"

"Uh, yes?

Touya flashes him a toothy smile, "Great."

Out of curiosity, before he could stop himself, the words were already leaving his mouth, "Is Tenko coming?"

"Yeah but," Shouto freezes at the pause then exhales in relief when he watches Touya fake cry, clutching at his heart dramatically, "he'll be going separately."

'Perfect.' Shouto thinks to himself. This way they'd get more time to carry out their plan properly.

***

Shouto and Katsuki are too early for the party. Katsuki smacks him due to his desperate ass. They find the same red haired hallway girl from that day, Ana, who Shouto managed to convince. It'd be beneficial for both of them, he said.

Ana apparently liked Touya and wanted Tenko to disappear from her sight forever. Now all it was left was to assemble everything to their places. After some time, more people began to swarm in and Shouto spotted Touya right away, talking to one of his friends. It's hard to miss when the other is sporting white hair.

Shouto gets close and takes the elder's phone from the counter and then smiles coyly as if nothing happened. Ana without a sign, straight up walks over to Touya and starts conversing.

"Still on it?" Katsuki speaks for the first time in a while.

Shouto nods. It's time. The music starts bursting out of the speaker and the dance floor gets filled almost immediately. Touya's phone pings in Katsuki's, showing a new notification from none other than Tenko. The contact is saved as "Sugar <3", Katsuki coos. The text reads: are you there already? They decide to not text back.

Shouto's own phone pings next. It's yet again a text from Tenko.

[Tenko]: hi :) are you guys there already? where is touya? please tell him to reply my texts

[Me]: We're here. I haven't seen Touya, though.

[Tenko]: oh

[Me]: Why?

[Tenko]: i kinda lost my way think you can fetch me? [location inserted]

[Me]: Sure.

He takes one last glance to check on Touya, he's reluctantly dancing with Ana. Seems like she had dragged him there. 'Fantastic.'  "Kat, I want you to make sure Touya doesn't run away from the scene."

The blonde rolls his eyes and mutters a "Whatever." Then Shouto's off to business.

From the distance he could see Tenko standing by the bus stop. He calls for him, waving a little and red eyes snap at him. His outfit is...nice. Tenko's wearing a white turtleneck, tucked in black shorts with numbers of chains hanging around his waist, dangling with every move. His eyes were adorned in black smokey shadow, lips shimmery.

"How's my outfit? Do you think Touya would like it?" Tenko asks as soon as he's within reach. "I put so much effort in my makeup, I hope he does."

"You look okay?"

"Thanks, that really explains a lot." Tenko chuckles and Shouto almost feels bad.

They arrive shortly, the place still blasting with up beat music, horny teenagers up against each other's bodies, grinding desperately.

He finds Katsuki in the exact same spot where he left him and from the corner of his eye he can see Touya still dancing with Ana, a bit too close but it's okay anyway. Shouto walks Tenko towards their direction, Katsuki's eye catches his from across the room, he gulps as if to ask Shouto again if they're really, a hundred percent sure.

"There is Touya," a bit loudly to convey the message: Tenko is here. Tenko looks around trying to find his boyfriend in the crowd. When he finally spots him, he's off.

Before Touya could register Tenko, Ana pulls Touya for a kiss. Right in front of Tenko. Tenko's smile drops as he stands there. Shouto could see a hundred emotions flash through those red orbs in a couple of seconds than he had ever seen. Hurt, betrayal, loss. He wonders if it was a mistake. Well, it's too late. What's done is already done.

Touya shoves Ana away, wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and finally looks around to the sudden quiet atmosphere around him. It was pin drop silent, the music died ages ago. Blue eyes met those hurtful red ones which were currently staring at him as if he'd seen a corpse.

Katsuki rushes to Tenko's side, holding him to calm him down. Shouto expects Tenko to scream, demanding an explanation from his now ex-boyfriend, instead Tenko fixes his gaze to the floor as it's the next most interesting thing. He's shaking.

"Tenko-"

"Please." He sternly cuts Touya off. He then gently pushes Katsuki's hands, offers him a small reassuring 'I'll be fine’ smile, it doesn't reach his eyes, and marches out the door.

Touya chases after his lover but he is long gone.

***

Everything falls back into place after the incident. Touya hasn't come out of his room for a week, meaning he missed one week worth of school work. No water, no food, no response when someone knocks. No pb&j sandwiches.

Tenko hasn't showed up at school either.

"Shouto, we need to talk. Now." Katsuki suddenly says after school. Not waiting for any answer, he grips the dual coloured man's wrist to take him to an empty janitor room. They're speaking in hushed voices. "Tenko didn't come to school today as well."

Shouto raises a brow, "And?"

"Aren't you being an asshole right now? This is really serious. Your brother is depressed, Tenko isn't here. It's clear that they're both hurting."

"I understand my brother's case but it's a facade for Tenk- '' A sharp pain spreads across his right cheek. He just got slapped by his Katsuki.

"I ain't buying any of that bullshit anymore. I've put up with your sorry ass for a long time but not anymore. You either go tell them the truth and apologize or lose me for good. Don't call me until you've sorted things out, fucker." With that his lover walks away, and Shouto could just watch his retreating back, holding his still stinging cheek.

***

With Katsuki's words playing in his mind, Shouto microwaves some rice and curry and stands before his brother's door who hasn't come out for a week. Shouto isn't really good at exchanging soothing words nor good at providing comfort. But this is the least he can do for his brother. He deeply inhales and knocks. No answer.

"Touya, if you don't eat you're gonna die."

"Go away." Comes a muffled response from the other side of the door.

"I'm not moving till you open the door." His brother was stubborn as fuck but the same blood runs in his veins too so he's stubborn as fuck too.

Minutes later there are footsteps heard from inside, and the door opens to reveal a damaged version of his brother. He looks like a zombie, dark circles, red rimmed eyes, clothes haphazardly thrown here and there. "Come in."

Shouto follows suit, what in the world happened here? He sits on the edge of the bed, noticing a shattered glass on the floor. Not having the guts to come clear, he switches to something else. "Touya, you alright? You know you can talk to me if you do. I'm always here to listen." Every single word came from heart, it was him genuinely caring for his broken brother.

Touya's eyes water, "I'm not okay, Shou. Tenko...I lost him. I didn't kiss that girl, I promise. She forcefully did it. Oh god, I'm so scared that it's pathetic. Can't man the fuck up and go explain myself. The way he looked at me that night, the hurt in his eyes. How can I ever face him when I'm the reason he's hurting?" Shouto wipes the tears out of Touya's face, pulling him for a hug. "I love him so much, Shou. He kept me sane. Honestly, I used to get high often you know, then I don't remember when was the last time I got high after I met him. It's like my life has been turned miraculously upside down. He was like this entire different world for me which I could jump into whenever I needed comfort, love, and sometimes without a reason."

"Did you try to-"

"Yes! He won't pick my calls or read my texts." Touya sniffs, "He won't believe me."

"I'm sure he would if you tell him you're innocent."

Touya shakes his head, "That's the last thing he would do, considering his past relationships all ended with his partner cheating on him and leaving. He's so insecure about himself. And the fact that he wouldn't even try to blame me and start questioning his flaws, all bizarre thoughts. He really trusted me and I had to earn it. I did the one thing he's insecure and scared of."

Shouto feels extremely bad. Tenko... is not the person he imagined him to be.

***

Shouto convinced Touya to attend school again since it's unhealthy. What he didn't expect was his brother leaving without him. So he asks him during lunch. "Why didn't you pick me up this morning?"

"Oh. It was Tenko's idea to pick you guys up before school. He said that I should make good use of my car rather than just show off and take good care of my little brother. I didn't think it was necessary anymore to pick you up. But if you want, I can tomorrow." Shouto's face falters.

And then it clicked. The pb&j sandwiches, car rides, laundry, breakfast, lunch, dinner, everything. His mom was never present in the first place. It was Tenko who took care of them. Of him. Like a little brother.

He'd make snacks for them every time he's over, knowing that Katsuki and Shouto would be hungry. They never needed to ask, it was always already there. He never asked anything in return, just silently asking for acceptance. Those occasional kind smiles, small banters, teasings.

Yet Shouto did something so hideous to someone who cared for him. He had failed to see through Tenko. Guilt washed over him like waves, his knees began to wobble. He needs to find Katsuki and make things right again.

Being separated from his lover is hurting Touya more than Shouto has anticipated of being hurt while in a relationship. Tenko is hurting too, it breaks his brother to see Tenko hurt. It's not worth it. For his brother's happiness's sake, it's not worth it.

"Katsuki." He grabs a hold of the blond's wrist, whom he hasn't spoken to in two days, and twirls him around.

"Will you come with me?"

Without further interrogation, Katsuki agrees.

***

Tenko peaks through the half opened door, Katsuki and Shouto are standing on the small porch of the house. Oh, so he lives alone.

"If you're here for Touya, please leave." His voice is hushed, broken, like a lost angel.

"No. Please just listen to us. It'll take ten minutes. I swear."

Tenko hesitantly opens the door wider and ushers him in, offering them tea but they refuse. The black haired man seems smaller than ever with puffy eyes and nose a similar shade as his eyes. Looking paler, disheveled, dead in Touya's favourite orange hoodie.

Shouto takes Katsuki's hand, they're warm like the very first time. The blond squeezes his hands encouragingly and Shouto jumps straight to the point.

"It's all my fault."

***

Touya couldn't register the guest at the door because once he opens it, he is met with a handful of his love. Tenko jumps, trusting Touya to catch him before wrapping his bare legs around the taller's waist. And Touya effortlessly catches him, and enfolded him in his arms. As if he's afraid of letting Tenko go a second time, he'll never let go. Over Tenko's shoulder he could see Katsuki and Shouto standing outside. But that's not his priority now.

He  carries the both of them inside the living room and situates himself on one of the sofas. Tenko on his lap as he snuggles his nose on top of the soft black hair of his lover. He missed Tenko's sweet vanilla scent, missed this closure, missed his laughs and his clingy hugs. And his voice, "Touya." Tenko's voice gets muffled by Touya's shoulder which is now wet with tears.

He hugs the smaller closer, "Tenko, please stop crying."

"I'm sorry, I should've given you a chance to explain but I was too shocked with what I saw."

"Shush. I know, I know, babe."

"You know how insecure I can get with relationships. I really trusted you, I still do and with you I never heard those voices in my head any longer. But then I saw you kissing someone else and everything just crumbled and went down on me. The voices were back, telling me that it's my fault. I began to think what I did wrong and if I'm not enough-"

"You are always enough."

Tenko sniffs, "I was like this is who I am now. That no one will love me because I'm pathetic and that they only pity me. I was so scared of the thought that one day you'll get tired of my sass, my stubbornness, my teasing, my face, of me and watching it happen...broke me. I didn't wanna lose you. I really love you, Touya."

Tenko's arms are still tightly secured around his shoulder, hugging him. "Tenko, baby, look at me." There is still so much pain evident in those red eyes and Touya wants nothing more than to take them all away. His arms around Tenko instinctively tightens.

"Then Katsuki and Shouto showed up. Told me everything and even though I wanted to beat their ass, I wanted to see you first and apologise."

"I'm happy that we're fine now. I'm sorry too. I even went to your house a few times but couldn't get myself to face you when I know that it's me who caused you so much pain."

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions."

Touya shakes his head and strokes Tenko's cheeks. "Don't say sorry. It was that girl- wait what? Shouto and Katsuki? What did they tell you to come running even though I didn't explain shit to you yet?"

"This was all their plan to separate us, Shouto's mainly. Katsuki was unwilling. A trap which we easily fell into. And that girl wanted you for yourself so they invited her to the plan too. Too bad now you're off limits again." Tenko smirks at the last part.

Touya can feel rage build inside him. But he's also glad that at the end of the day Shouto realised how much Tenko means to him. That he finally acknowledged their true love.

Shouto and Katsuki enter the room, looking as guilty as ever but Touya being the responsible brother he is, gives the younger brother a piece of his head.

"Touya, we're sorry. No, I am sorry. Katsuki isn't involved at all. He even tried to stop me many times. I know you won't forgive me that easily for how much pain I caused you and your lover. But I'm willing to do anything to earn you and Tenko's trust again."

"That I won't, little brother but you should know better than to just niggle in someone else's healthy confidential relationship without talking to us first about whatever doubt you had with our love, that is."

"I'm sorry."

"I think you understood what you did was really wrong."

"I did. Sorry."

"Now stop apologizing and come here."

Shouto looks at Katsuki who is smiling at him, silently encouraging him to go. He's welcomed in a warm hug, practically being sandwiched between Tenko and Touya. He doesn't realise he's crying until Tenko reaches out to brush the tears off his face. He then calls out Katsuki to join in. A lovely group hug, promising trust and love.

Katsuki offers hot chocolate but it's just an excuse to let the love birds spend some more time alone so soon he, along with his oblivious boyfriend, are scrambling out of the room and into the kitchen.

As soon as the youngsters are out of sight, Tenko grabs a hold of Touya's face and smashes their lips together. He really did miss him. Touya's hands travel downwards and under his orange hoodie and soon finds himself to realise something odd.

"Babe? Why are you only in your underwear?" He asks, clearly weirded out.

"Oh uh. I didn't think they'd show up so suddenly. I didn't think I'd leave my house today so I was only wearing underwear and your hoodie. And then they told me everything, my first instinct told me to get to you."

"So you ran this entire way with just a hoodie on and no pants!"

"Touya, it's not a big deal. No one saw me, stop being so jealous!

"Even so!!"

Katsuki and Shouto reappear, this time with four cups of hot chocolate, chuckling at the elder couple's silly quarrel.

Everything is back in place. The four of them fall into playful banters like they always do. Tenko and Touya finally smiling and happy again after an enormous misdeed.

Katsuki subconsciously smiles too, then turns towards Shouto to already see him smiling at him. He scooted closer to his lover, gaining a kiss on the forehead.
