Best Boy's Birthday Party

Summary:

Today's July 15, and it's Izuku's birthday! However, Izuku thinks he could skip it and simply forget about it because of his past.

Oh, he was dead wrong.

Notes:

This is my Birthday fic for the greatest boy and character throughout MHA (fucking fight me), Izuku Midoriya!

Happy Birthday, Izuku!

Work Text:

Izuku Midoriya had his strange days, you don’t need to be smart to know that there will always be days where things just go in a weird direction. Things that just… decided to get unique or special to make it different from any other day.

Thus, that is the situation where Izuku was in.

For context, today was his Birthday, and he was going 17.

At first, Izuku would disregard it, he never had any good birthdays ever since the day he was revealed to be Quirkless. Being Quirkless was hard, nobody liked him, nobody wanted to be friends with the Quirkless, useless Deku, and nobody would even care about what would happen to him.

Especially when it’s his birthday.

Granted, his mom would come in and try to make his birthdays at the very least decent every time, and while he respects his mother for trying to make him happy, she didn’t need to waste her time and things on nothing like his birthday.

Soon, he would forget it and simply just move on his day, thinking it was just like any other day. He didn’t care about his birthday anymore, as sad as it is to say; he has accepted the fact that nobody would want to celebrate his birthday, or even have him get a good one at all. So he just skipped them, even with Inko’s attempts.

So, what was going on with Izuku?

Well, for one thing: His phone was gone missing. He usually puts his phone on the table where his laptop is at as well as his portable gaming consoles his mother was able to buy for him to help him be happier.

He had checked everywhere for it, but he still couldn’t find it.

But he had no time, as he needed to get to class.

So after dressing up, he also noticed something else.

The fact that everything was quiet.

With his class, being everything but peaceful and quiet was the new normal everyone came to accept because of his classmates.

So with everything being quiet was just not normal, for his class at least.

There’s also the fact he hadn’t seen everybody since yesterday, and that slightly nerved him.

But he had to push the urge down as he gets ready for class.

So after putting his uniform on, he walked to the Common Room, and he felt the urge come back in full force as he saw nobody at all.

It was like he was the only one here.

At that moment, he realized what was going on.

He was late.

With that thought, he sacrificed his hunger for breakfast and quickly ran out of Dorms using a bit of Full Cowling to help him go faster.

He continued running to the Class 1-A Classroom, worried at how late he must have been.

‘Oh, man! Oh, man! I must have been so late! I hope Aizawa isn’t too mad… but I highly doubt it…’

Once he reached the door, he pushed it away.

“I’M SO SORRY MR. AIZAWA, I DIDN’T-“

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZUKU MIDORIYA!!!’

“…mean to be late….?” He faltered as his eyes widen in shock.

He was NOT expecting his whole class, the whole staff, as well as Inko, Mitsuki and Marsu, Eri, Kota (with the Wild Wild Pussycats on his side), and the Big Three!

The chairs were either stacked, or simply used by other people, and it looked like a party with unopened pizza boxes, a big cake, sodas, and other kinds of food.

“What…..?” He muttered as he walked in, numbly looking around, still in shock.

He was greeted with the smiling faces of his friends, as well as confetti and many decorations in the classroom.

“Wh-what’s going on?!” He said, snapping out of his shock, still processing everything right now.

Ochako giggled as she walked up. “It’s your birthday, you goof! Why else would we do this?”

“B-But… I didn’t tell you guys about my Birthday, how-“

“It’s me you idiot.”

Izuku blinked as he turned his head to face Katsuki, who looked at him with his usual glare, but it was missing the usual anger he always had.

“When you were asleep, I figure that I let the extras know about your day, you think we would skip your birthday?” Katsuki said, raising an eyebrow.

Izuku chuckled nervously as he felt all pairs of eyes on him.

The floor is really beautiful now that he thinks about it.

“Yeah… sorry… I.. didn’t have any good birthdays for being a late bloomer, I didn’t think Kacchan would tell anyone about it and I didn’t think you all would do so much for my birthday…” Izuku said as he looked away from everyone, blushing in shame and embarrassment.

Ochako softly smacks his head. “Deku, give yourself some slack! After what you did for all of us, we would not deserve you if we didn’t do your birthday! You did so much for us Deku! Now we want to give our thanks for everything did! Can we do that? For today? Please?” Ochako said with a smile as Izuku stared at her.

Izuku blinked and then he did think about this.

They did this.

All of this.

For him.

But, he only did the things he did because it was the right thing to do. Because that’s what a hero does.

“I…” He said as he begins to shake, being overwhelmed by literally everything that is happening.

“I… don’t get it…” He said, his voice wobbly as he felt something form in his eyes.

“Deku…” Ochako said as she stared at him.

He looked up to everyone with tears running down his cheek as he flashes a teary smile at them.

“Thank you… thank you so much…!” He sobs as he covers his face and begins to break down and falls to his knees.

Ochako smiled down at the sobbing boy as she got on her knees and wraps her arms around her best friend, feeling her shoulder dampen as he held her tight.

“Happy birthday Deku, you deserve it…” Ochako said, feeling only a few tears leaking out of her eyes.

Everyone either smiled and stared at the scene with amusement and joy.

He thinks he didn’t deserve them, didn’t he..?

After some time of crying, Izuku lifts his head, his face going a bit red in embarrassment as he realized what he did.

“I… I’m sorry Uraraka, I didn’t mean to cry on you or make everyone uncomfortable… I was just… happy…” He said as he wipes away some tears.

She chuckled. “It’s fine, you goof. We just want you to have a good birthday.”

He nodded as he took a deep breath and stood up, with Ochako following him.

Izuku turned to everyone else and bowed down. “Thank you!” He said, raising with a big smile on his face.

Tenya smiled back. “Don’t thank us Midoriya, you deserve this, I’m simply glad you're happy with this!” He said, his hand chopping the wind.

Mina nodded and got up to the boy. “Yeah! Your one of us Midori! Let’s just have fun! But first!” She then pulled out his phone and gave it to the boy.

“That’s my phone! What did…?” He said as he got to the lock screen and opened it.

His eyes widen at the Discord application as he saw his group chats.

And one of them was not added in before.

“This… is the Girls Group Chat?! What?!” He exclaimed in shock.

The boys must not have heard of this as they also stared at the girls in shock.

“Yep! With the vote count of 6 by all of us, we have declared you as Honorary Girl! Congrats Midori!” Mina said, smiling at the boy who is blushing up a storm.

Everyone was very shocked at this; they did not expect that to be their gift!

“MIDORIYAAAAAA!!” Everyone turned to see Denki and Minoru glaring at Izuku and getting to his space.

“WHY THE HELL ARE YOU GETTING SO CLOSE TO THE GIRLS, FUCK OFF!!!” Minoru said, trying to snatch Izuku’s phone as he glared in venom jealously at the boy.

“YEAH! WHAT ABOUT US?! WE NEED SOME GIRLS TOO!!” Said Denki as he also tried to snatch Izuku’s phone.

Both of them were easily stopped by Kyoka’s jacks.

“Oh shut up you idiots, we think Green was the best choice out of all the boys.” Said Kyoka, slightly blushing as he glared at the duo.

“I… don’t know what to say, but I won’t break this amount of trust for you girls! Thank you for the gift, I guess!” He said as he bowed to the girls, who could only chuckle.

After that little moment, everyone soon began to give gifts to the boy.

He had countless gifts, but they were very varied.

He was very happy as he and everyone dig in, everyone having fun and enjoying their time with everybody.

There were many games to play, each that were incredibly fun for Izuku to have and how much he did it many times, to the amusement of everybody.

From Hot Potato, to then Marco Polo he had a blast and got the hang of it, beating his friends and family many times as he learned more and more.

Then there was Arm Wrestle, with Izuku mostly dominating at the game thanks to his muscles, with Shoji being the only one he was not able to defeat.

There were many laughs and cheers throughout the birthday, it was so different from when he only had his mom.

This was the best birthday he has ever had.

But it’s not over yet though…

As Izuku talks with Eri and Kota, he heard Ochako walking behind him, so he turned around to face her with a smile. “Oh hey Uraraka, what’s up?”

Ochako was playing with her fingers as she blushed, not looking at him but instead at her shoes.

“I... I’m sorry Deku, I didn’t have enough money to buy something for you.” She said, feeling… not bad but something else.

“Oh, it’s okay Uraraka. I-“

“Ochako.”

“H-huh?”

“Call me Ochako… I… think we should have been calling our given names, huh?”

“O-oh… well, in that case, call me Izuku!” He said, also blushing as he scratched his hair.

They didn’t notice most of everyone staring at them with a chuckle and smile, while a certain few pray for what is going to happen.

“But I do know I have something else, to give. I know you would like this!” She said, beginning to get more embarrassment over time.

“O-oh? What is it…?” Izuku questioned as he looked all over her, before seeing her move up close to him.

“I…. this!!” She said before planting her lips on his.

Izuku’s eyes widen as he felt her lips touch his as he froze.

‘H-H-HOLY COW!!! A GIRL IS KISSING ME! A GIRL IS KISSING ME, AND IT’S URA-OCHAKO!!!!’ His mind going wild at her ‘gift.’

However, she pulled away, thinking of him doing nothing as something bad. “W-wait, you didn’t like it? D-Deku! I’m so sorry-“ Before she could speak, his mind made up and got up to her as well, pressing his lips on hers again.

Ochako flinched at his attempt, before relaxing and wrapping her arms around his neck and Izuku gripping onto her hips while the duo takes each other’s first kiss.

At that point, everyone had cheered for the new couple, in their ways at least.

Aizawa could smile at his problem children as he shook his head.

The girls cried and celebrated for Ochako’s love being accepted.

The boys cheered for the boy’s success except for Minoru who was crying blood at seeing one of his girls being taken away, but nobody gives a shit about him though.

Inko was crying waterfalls while Mitsuki and Masaru tried to calm down and support the mother for not flooding the room.

Kota had simply false-gagged at the sight while Eri smiled happily at seeing her ‘Papa’ find love, now seeing Ochako as her ‘Mama.’

Most of everyone was very approval of the duo, now a couple.

After a minute of kissing, they pulled away for oxygen as they both smiled at them, ignoring everybody,

“I… love you Deku,” Ochako said, clearly looking like she was going to cry to see that her crush has finally liked her bak.

“I love you too Ochako..” He said, grinning a stupid grin as they both hugged each other tightly.

Suddenly, they felt something on their legs and looked down to see Eri hugging them with her smile targeting them.

“Papa! Are you and Mama Chako together?” Eri said, her words making Ochako blushed with her being called Mama.

It was no secret that Eri saw Izuku as a father and a doting one at that.

The couple chuckled as they got down and picked Eri up carefully, both smiling at the little girl.

“Yeah, I’m your Mama Eri,” Ochako said, tears rolling down her cheek as she smiled.

Izuku could only smile at the both of them as he hugged them back.

Yeah, this was the greatest Birthday he ever had.

And he would do his past 100 times just to be at this point of his life.

The happiest point in his life yet.
