Work Text:

"'Sup bitches?" rang clearly throughout the batcave, bringing it's occupants attention over to the Red Hood.

Everyone was lounging around, the atmosphere domestic and calm.

"Jace! Long time no see." Dick greeted warmly, if not slightly less interested than he should've been if he wasn't directing most of his attention at the wide, glowing monitor of the batcomputer. He was currently more focused on his case files, typing away.

"Dickie." he responded, accompanied by a slight nod.

Jason took his helmet off, taking a moment to scowl at the scratch that had recently adorned it. He would need to get around to fixing it soon. Dick clacked on in the background. Tucking his helmet under his arm and up against his side, he turned to his youngest brother.

"Todd."

"brat."

Damian was currently indulging in mindless drills, rolling and ducking and swaying on the graphed out part of the floor indicating where the training simulator was.

He blinked at him, and then proceeded to return to ribboning the simulated sparring partner. It dissolved soundlessly while two more appeared at his side. He dug his elbow hard into the chest of the one closest to his arm, throwing it off balance. While it stumbled around he buried his katana into where the heart would be on an organic enemy, then twisted around after pulling the sword out and sliced the head off the other one.

'What a fucking gremlin' Jason thought proudly. He grinned inside his head and then glanced over at Tim, who was sitting propped up against a bench in the back corner of the cave.

He had his headphones on and seemed to be watching something on his laptop, he hadn't noticed Jason was there.

Inwardly he decided if he should be an asshole or not, weighing his options.

He walked over to where Tim was, careful to tread lightly. His steel toed boots made little sound as he made his way over to the other side of the cave, making sure to stay out of Tim's line of sight.

Once he was positioned behind Timmy, he pulled the headphones off in one swift motion while simultaneously speaking "hey timmers." loudly into his ear. Being an asshole was so much more fun.

"GAH What the fuck- oh hi Jason you BITCH." Tim put a mock look of anger on his face before reaching up and grabbing his headphones, not bothering to get up. Jason stuck his tongue out at him, Tim stuck his out back.

"I'm watching an ocean documentary, go away" He said, halfheartedly shooing him away with his hand.

"It's always you ocean documentary bitches that hold the most spite in your hearts." Jason said, smiling.

"There's just something about watching whales swim around for two hours straight that instills a deep burning hatred for everything within me" Tim answered, already turning back to his laptop.

'I wonder how many whale documentaries damian must've watched to become the spiteful little bitch he is' Jason thought, chuckling outloud at the thought.

He glanced around again at his brothers, feeling a spark of pride as Damian shish-kebabbed two dummy's onto his sword. Dick was hunched over, staring intently at the screen while occasionally taking a sip of his iced coffee. Now that Jason was looking at him again, he couldn't help but notice how dicks pink fuzzy sweater with a donut on the front looked a little familiar.

'So that's where that went' he thought, mentally planning on retaliating via some sweater theft of his own. He couldn't wait to slip on one of Dick's comfy college hoodies, he could practically smell the lavender detergent and feel the soft fabric hanging off his arms already.

He side eyed Dick, checking to make sure he knew nothing of his evil plans, and he didn't.

'What a common fool. he is no match for my fat juicy brain.'  he thought, feeling smug.

Jason headed over to the stairs leading up to the manor, mentally preparing to see his old man. He was not looking forward to explaining Bruce's missing shiny car. Oh well.

He took one last glance down from halfway up the stairs, eyes sweeping over his brothers. he could hear Dick's click clacking and Damian's grunts and the sounds of his blade slicing through the air, if he strained his ears he could also make out Tim's muttering about 'whales slaying them other wrinkly finned bitches', apparently.

Jason felt a fondness he never would have guessed he would feel, and he dissappeared up the stairs.
