Miracle House

Summary:

No one went near Miracle house unless invited. That was the rule. Everyone knew the rule. The house was weird, and everyone in Paris knew it, even tourists didn’t go near it, the house too shiny and bright for the kind city.
So when Damian Wayne moves to Paris, he was not prepared for the effects of Miracle house, and he definitely was not prepared for the people inside of it.
Marinette, Chloe, Luka and Kagami all lived happily in Miracle house, yet they all had their secrets, just not from each other. To the outside, they were a very close group of friends that very well could be dating, on the inside... well, someone might just have to go inside the house and find a few secrets and find out the truth.

Notes:

Plot bunnies. I hate them. I don't know if or when I'll upload more of this. This is more of a fun side project that kinda just came to me while I was on the phone to my friend the other night. It's a bit of fun I guess.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

No one went near Miracle house unless invited. That was the rule. Everyone knew the rule. The house was weird, and everyone in Paris knew it, even tourists didn’t go near it, the house too shiny and bright for the kind city.

The plants in and outside of the house seemed to move, even when there was no wind.

A soothing kind of music seemed to drift from the house, even when there was no people in the house to be playing music.

Wild animals would run around the yard happily and interact with the people living in the house, yet when anyone else would try to approach them, the animals would hiss and attack them before running away and disappearing.

And the young adults that lived in the house, even weirder. Everyone seemed to know them, and they seemed to know everyone. But— not many people were actually friends with them.

No matter who you asked, the story that was told was apparently something happened in Collège that brought the four inhabitants of Miracle house together, but it also separated them from a majority of people their age. The only people matching the inhabitants ages, was a sister, and a boyfriend, no one else their age entered the house.

People also seemed to disagree about one of the inhabitants having a boyfriend. They all believed that the inhabitants of Miracle house were dating each other, for whenever they were seen in public, they were all holding hands, or climbing atop one another, laughing and screaming in joy.

The public took it to twitter as a poll as to whether or not the inhabitants of Miracle were truly dating or not, and this is how a group of vigilante detectives discovered the curious group in France, and suddenly began worrying about their youngest brother, who had recently moved not far from the dubbed ‘Miracle house’.

“I mean, it doesn’t have to be a big deal if it’s a thing on twitter, right Timmy?” Dick asked, swinging around on the chair, phone in hand as he continued scrolling through the ‘#miraclehouse’ tag on twitter, trying to safely learn more about the group without letting himself worry about his brother too much.

Tim frowned, scouring the interweb for more information on the house and group of people that lived there, hoping to anything out there that it was nothing and that his youngest brother would be safe in the new city.

“I don’t know, Dick. I’ve honestly never heard of this group before and they seem really odd, like, the entire city doesn’t know if they can trust them or not. Also, how the hell do four, just out of high school teenagers buy a mansion that size! Like, that isn’t just a house, Dick! That is a whole ass mansion!” Dick frowns, coming across another tweet that actually gave the names of some of the members which would definitely help the investigation.

“I don’t know. But here are some names, Chloé Bourgeois, Luka Couffaine and Kagami Tsurugi. Apparently that’s three of the names of the people that live in the house, I can’t get the last one, I just have a nickname, Mari. Can you get anything from that?” Dick asks, sliding over to Tim who had switched to looking up the names.

“I don’t know what I was expecting to get, but it definitely wasn’t that. But it does explain how the group managed to get a mansion at their age. I think collectively those three might be richer than Bruce. But even with the nickname, I’m still having trouble getting anything on the fourth member of the house, there are literally no actual photos of her face on the twitter, how is that possible?” Tim yelled, staring at the computer screen in shock, causing Dick to frown, looking back down at his phone.

Pursing his lips, his turned back to his brother before putting forth words that he knew was only going to piss him off, but they needed to be said. “What about magic?”

Tim instantly stiffened. He wanted to disregard the idea, but the more he thought about it, the more he knew it was likely. He figured out Batman’s identity at the age of nine for god’s sake! It should be easy for him to figure out this girls identity with just an image of the top of her head and the side of her face, but— it was as if something was stopping him.

“I hate to say it, but I think you’re right.” Dick sighed, locking his phone and setting on the desk.

“We need to warn Damian.” Dick frowned, his gaze focusing on a photo of the group of people who lived in Miracle house, each member was laughing as they were climbing atop one another in the streets of Paris.

“Yeah. I know. But how?”
