Prologue
Feelings
When Luo Binghe first arrived at the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect he felt anxiety. He always dreamed of joining such a prestigious sect and wished to fulfil his promise to his beloved late mother and make her proud by becoming an alpha of high standing. Yet when standing in front of the mountain with its twelve peaks he felt so small, so insignificant. But he gathered all of his courage and ascended up to the mountain to be tested for his suitability to become a disciple of the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect.
When Luo Binghe's name was called as he passed the test he felt joy. He could hardly contain himself, because he was accepted! He would now become a disciple of a righteous sect; become a powerful cultivator who would protect the world from evil. He would make his late mother proud and he knew that from now on things would finally become better for him.
When Luo Binghe found himself kneeling in front of his new Shizun, he fell in love. He was still young, yet when he looked up towards his Shizun, Shen Qingqiu, he experienced an emotion he had never known before to such an extend but could only call love. His chest almost burned as if a fire had broken out that overtook his whole body, yet it was a pleasant feeling, a feeling he would never want to end. Shen Qingqiu looked like he was craved out of the finest white jade by the gods themselves where every curve, every inch of skin was moulded into perfection. He looked exactly like Luo Binghe had always believed the gods to look like and he was the epitome of an immortal cultivator; refined, elegant and regal, yet with a lofty air to him that made him seem almost detached from mortal concerns.
When Luo Binghe had tea poured over his head without an explanation, he felt heartbroken. He was left wondering if he had done something to anger his Shizun, but he had no idea what he could have done wrong as two silent tears ran down his face. Yet he refused to let it get to him, as the fire that was burning warmly within his chest did not diminish in the slightest and Luo Binghe was sure that nothing would ever make his feelings for his Shizun change. No matter how harsh his Shizun was, Luo Binghe still strived to please him in every way he could so that his Shizun would see the love he felt for him, and to better himself so that his Shizun would hopefully one day reciprocate his feelings, even if just a little.
And when Luo Binghe felt a slim yet ice cold hand push him into the fiery Abyss below, he felt resentment and hate for his harsh Shizun he once feel in love with and he swore revenge on Shen Qingqiu as he stared up at the cruel green eyes of the other man above, before the flames of the Endless Abyss swallowed him whole.
