If only

Summary:

Park Jimin was a cynic. Too jaded to believe in hope. In being saved. In being happy. In being fulfilled. That stuff was for other people, he didn't deserve it. Meeting the pack of alphas who are invested in saving him, Jimin isn't sure if this will turn out to be a dream he never knew he had or a living nightmare. He isn't ready to find out.

Chapter Text

Park Jimin was ready. He always was. Maybe not this time though. His heat had just passed and he was tired. Cleaning his room and removing any traces of his heat had taken all his remaining energy. No one needed to know that though and it wasn't like anyone cared either way. If you were to ask him, then yes, he was ready. For whatever the world wanted to throw at him, he was ready; just as long as his trusty old friend stayed with him.

The ceiling was bare. Four years in this shithole and the ceiling was still bare. He could've decorated, had enough money and could probably sway the Duke into allowing it, for that, still he chose not to. As he laid there staring at his bare ceiling his life flashed before his eyes. He wasn't dying at least not yet. The pill he had taken was just starting to kick in and everything seemed just within his reach. His bare ceiling turned many colours. He could see a better life where he didn't have to sell himself to live. A life where maybe he was a dancer or a painter or a scientist, anything aside from this. This shell of an existence. Maybe this is why he never painted. White was such an amazing backdrop for all his fantasies.

He shook his head and laughed bitterly at himself for dreaming of anything. It was hopeless and stupid to wish for any better. He should be content. He had had worse, seen worse, lived worse.

"You have new clients, Doll," the dull voice came through.

He hadn't been paying attention. If he had, he would've heard the lock click and the door open. A little slow on the uptake, Jimin's face formed a frown. No clients were to see him for the next 36 hours after his heat so maybe the servant was confused. Maybe he was new.

He slowly turned his head to meet the familiar face of Flute. The one who always escorted his clients. Flute wasn't his real name, he knew as much. The only person who knew real names of everyone here was Duke and he only knew Duke's real name. Not because it was customary, but because he knew Duke when he was nothing and had nothing. No one addressed each other by their actual names except maybe for Jimin and his few friends. Then again, none of his friends worked here.

Seeing Flute here meant that there was no error which begged the question why Duke would assign clients to him knowing full well he was out of commission for the next few days. Duke knew he had just gone through his heat and that too all alone as Hyung wasn't here to help him through it.

"Tell them I'm indisposed," he replied duly.

"You know I can't do that. Duke would have my head," Flute said eyes widening.

"I'm high as fuck and I can't entertain. Plus, my heat just ended which you know." This was getting irritating. He hated Fluke who walked around like he was any better than them seeing as he wasn’t a whore. Jimin much preferred what he did to being Duke’s lap dog. He knew for a fact that Flute belonged to the long roster of alphas Duke fucked, so really, who was he kidding? He was worse off than all of the whores in this fine establishment, Jimin though wryly.

"I know but Duke said they especially ordered you so put on your acting face and do your work. "Flute was getting frustrated.

"What do you mean clients? How many are there? You know I only see one at a time. I don’t partake in orgies and even if I did, I’m too tired for an orgy right now," he was getting tired of this conversation.

"There are three alphas. They paid a lot and insisted on seeing you which is why Duke decided to waive a few of the rules," Flute said, faux sympathy colouring his voice. Jimin scoffed. "Take a shower and get ready. I can stall for about 20 minutes."

He gave Flute a thumbs up and continued staring at the ceiling. Jimin grumbled getting up dazedly and trudging to the bathroom in his room. He stood under the shower eyes glazed over for 10 minutes. He couldn't hear his Omega with how drugged he was. That was fine, awesome even, he didn't need to have any more voices on his head. He dresses in record time putting no effort in his appearance as he usually would. They would just have to do with his acting for he had no strength to even put on make up. He towel-dried his hair and turned on the blow drier. Run it through his black hair before robotically styling it into messy look, his specialty.

The knock on the door was loud and obnoxious, normal for Flute. Jimin did his breathing exercises thanking the universe that he was high off his mind and not his usual anxiety-ridden self. He apologized to his body and his omega for the damage they were about to face and wished for the umpteenth time that Jackson and his Hyung were here to stop this.

Shrugging the doubts off his shoulders, he grabbed and twisted the door knob. Flute's diabolical grin was the first thing he saw. He surpassed it like he did every time the other brought new guests. He put on his best fake smile and turned to the others who stared at him. The scent of the three alphas was strong and he knew it would linger in his room for days to come. He grimaced. Then he quickly fixed his face.

"Hi," the first alpha said. His lips pulled up to show bunny teeth in an attempt at a smile even though he was clearly uncomfortable. The alpha looked young and awkward. Jimin almost smiled. This one would be easy to handle. He could do him first and be done within minutes. Then he would be on his way and Jimin could continue with his day as planned. He waved at him shyly knowing it would rile the younger alpha some. He then turned to his companions who had been watching the interaction with clear interest.

"Would you like to come in?" he asked coyly, smiling shyly. He almost laughed at the immediate reaction. The first alpha with bunny teeth jerked forward almost smashing into him in his rush. One of the other alphas chuckled deeply. Jimin turned his gaze in time to see the dimples peek through. In a not so intoxicated state, he would have found the alphas attractive.

"I'm sorry for him," the alpha said with a deep voice. "I'll try to rein him in." For a second, Jimin wondered if that was possible and if so, how it could be done. Instead of asking, he just smiled and turned to trudge into the room letting the other two let themselves in.

Jimin hoped that they hadn't noticed his unfocused eyes but they probably had. He smelt light anger in the last alpha's scent. He internally shrugged. This was shaping out to be a long afternoon.

Jimin was really tired. He didn't know why he was put up to this. He had no energy to entertain and no desire to do so. Fluke had closed the door as he left leaving him with three alphas he was supposed to somehow please. He dropped himself on the bed as the alphas stood around the room filling it with their combined scents.

If Jimin had been slightly more lucid, he would have noticed the mating marks on their necks. The five distinct mating marks on each of their necks. He might have also noticed the fact that their scents almost complimented each other to the point that you couldn't clearly identify or separate their scents.

Jimin turned to study the alphas in his room. The one with the dimples was standing slightly in front of the group as if he was the leader or something. He was tall, taller than the other two. He stood calmly as if confident in his position and masculinity. Jimin knew the type; alpha male, probably ran his own company or shit like that, liked to impose on everything and everyone, cocky and sure of himself; not to mention insufferably proud and egoistic. Jimin almost scoffed. It was hard work to keep his face neutral.

Dimples was wearing a three piece grey suit with a black shirt, top button undone. Had he come straight from his office? Jimin wondered where his tie was. He looked like the type to wear one, to seem more imposing. The shortest of the trio stood on the right of Mr. Dimples and probably outranked the bunny looking boy. He had black hair like Jimin and stood as if he was bored. Like he couldn't give two fucks if he tried. He was dressed in black jeans and a black button down. He looked so much like a cat; disinterested and bored out of his fucking mind. Kitten, that would be his name, Jimin concluded. He looked back at Jimin with distrust. Jimin wondered why he had come if he so obviously did not want to be here.

The last of the bunch was standing awkwardly taking in his room. Bunny looked uneasy. He wore back jeans and a black hoodie. Jimin could see a hint of tattoos on his hand and he briefly wondered how many tattoos the kid had. He dismissed the thought knowing that by the end of their time together he might have the answer to his question. His hair was long and tied at the back of his head messily with some strands escaping to fall on his face. He was tall, almost as tall as Dimples and it was evident that he worked out. Jimin hid his sigh and feeling the exhaustion in his bones he just wanted to get this over with.

"Okay, so who's going first? Bunny? Dimples? Kitten? Or am I supposed to take two at once or all of you at the same time? Come on. Let's get this over with. I need sleep," he said, tired and bored. More so tired though. He had a feeling he might fall asleep as they fucked him. He broke into a grin and almost chuckled at the thought.

If he had been any more lucid than he was at the moment, he would have noticed the shock on Bunny's face or the grimace on the cat looking man or the anger on the guy who had been displaying his dimples not too long ago. But he wasn't. He was high as fuck so without taking into account his guests, he started disrobing.

"Is this how you do business? I wonder how you're the most popular one here," Jimin heard as his sweatshirt was halfway through his head. He hadn't seen who had spoken but it was clear the short one. His was the only voice he hadn't heard. His voice was smooth and low. Mesmerizing. Jimin finished pulling the shirt off his head and turned to the guy who was regarding his with a bored look. Bunny gulped and stared at his half naked body. Jimin almost laughed. Almost. Bunny was doing wonderous things for his ego. The client was always right, he sang in his head over and over. He pulled a little smile.

"How do you think business is conducted?" Jimin asks feigning interest. If he only knew how much Jimin wanted to just fall back on the bed and nap or sleep or better yet die. He only realized that he had broken character as soon as the words were in the air. Jimin mentally facepalmed. He was supposed to be the shy new virgin omega. Damnit.

"I don't know," Kitten shrugged, "I thought for sure that there would be a lot more posturing, a talk maybe. I definitely thought there would be some form of foreplay. I mean you didn't even ask for our names."

Jimin scoffed, "Foreplay? I think you're confused. You're here to fuck not make love." Warning bells went off in his head. He should have not said that. Before he could process, Kitten grabbed him by the arm, turned him and pushed him down onto the bed on his stomach. His body didn't even protest seeing as the nerve receptors were slowed down by the drug and the exhaustion. He resisted the urge to growl at the alpha. He didn't want any trouble. He heard a sigh behind him and knew that Dimples looked probably done with the entire situation.

"Is this how it's done?" Kitten asked, a smirk in his voice.

"First off, let go of me," he stood when the alpha backed off. "Secondly, you should have asked first." His words were starting to slur a bit.

"I thought you said we weren't going to talk?" Kitten gave him a smug look. Jimin almost smiled. The guy was funny.

"Ugh," Jimin sighed, feeling out of his depth with the entire thing, "give me a moment please." With that he walked to the glass door that led to his balcony. He sat on the swing he’d had installed there and grabbed a cigarette from the pack which he always kept there. He lit it and started smoking to calm his nerves, watching the world go by. It was early afternoon and the city was loud with everyone going about their day. A tiny bird parched right there on the railing and Jimin watched it, blinking slowly as the drugs seeped in further. He could probably wax poetic about birds and freedom bu he was too high and jaded. This was probably a bad trip. He needed to at least sober up some and get ready for his performance. The slight breeze was doing wonders for him.

Entertaining these alphas would probably go down as the best performance of his life, he thought chuckling humorously.

He felt the scent of sandal wood coming towards him. Dimples.

"You should really quit. It's a bad habit. Those could kill you," the smooth voice said from the entrance to the balcony.

"This is the habit you're worried about?" Jimin scoffed in incredulity.

Dimples chuckled lightly. "Touché."

"If you don't mind me asking, for how long did you pay for me?" Jimin asks after a beat.

"The guy said for as long as we wanted." There was slight tinge of anger in his sent as he spoke of Duke.

Jimin's brows raised almost to his hairline at the reply. These alphas must be rich to satisfy the money-hungry Duke. Even Jimin didn't know his actual rates but he knew he was the most expensive of the escorts in this godforsaken place. For the alphas to have given the Duke enough to even force Jimin to work when he wasn't supposed to.... Jimin went back to his cigarette.

The silence was comfortable, Jimin smoking and Dimples watching curiously. He finished his cigarette and dropped it into the equally strategically placed ash tray. He looked onto the other side of the balcony and sighed.

"Could you pass me a drink. The whiskey please," he asked politely to the alpha who had stepped onto the balcony.

Dimples furrowed his brows. "Is that really for the best? You seem to already be intoxicated." So they had noticed.

"I wasn't asking for your permission, Mom," Jimin said getting up and walking past him to swig the whiskey straight from the bottle. After taking five swigs, he put the bottle down and turned to the man who had been watching him steadily, "Alright, let's go. I'm ready for whatever debauchery you and your friends want to unleash."

He walked past Dimples and into the room where the other men were. Dimples got in after him and closed the balcony door effectively closing them in.
