Crusing

Summary:

Tyler Cole and Kyle Browne go on a cruise. Fun, mishaps, new friendships and sexy times ensue.

Notes:

Uploading another old story -- this was written in 2014.

I can't remember what cruise line I took the itinerary from.

Again, any and all mistakes are my own.

And I'm just posting all my old writings for posterity. If they get read, that's a bonus.

Chapter Text

When Tyler and Kyle looked into going on a cruise, they ended up booking through a gay and lesbian specialty vacation company. It was definitely going to be a trip to remember.
“Cozy,” Tyler observed as he shut the door to the stateroom he and Kyle were assigned for the duration of their trip.
“Not much of a view,” Kyle noted, as he pointed out the lack of a porthole.
Tyler moved passed his partner and zipped open his suitcase. “How much time are we going to spend in here anyway? There is so much to do on this ship.”
Kyle joined Tyler by the bed and opened his own bag and hung up his clothes. “True, And so much to eat, too! I bet I gain at least five pounds this week.” He picked up a shirt and tossed out the wrinkles.
“There is a fitness center on board,” Tyler reminded him.
Kyle looked at Tyler as if he had two heads. “You’re shitting me, right? I’m on vacation. Eating right and exercising have been tossed out the window.”
“Suit yourself. Don’t bitch to me when we get home.” Tyler finished putting away his clothes and placed his now empty suitcase on the floor.
Kyle picked up his open suitcase and tossed it next to Tyler’s then crawled across the bed and pulled his boyfriend down so they both were laying on the bed. “There are other ways we can work up a sweat,” he said, as he tugged at Tyler’s shirt.
“I thought you wanted to be on deck when the ship disembarked,” Tyler said in between being kissed and stripped.
“Screw that,” Kyle suggested. “Let’s christen this bed.” He pinned Tyler and kissed him senseless.

Kyle wanted to not get dressed up for dinner. He was on vacation, dammit, and refused to pack a suit. Tyler didn’t argue with him. Even the casual dining would be quality cuisine. They chose kakis and polo shirts. That was about as dressed up as they wanted to go.
The ship encouraged the passengers to mingle and in the dining room they chose, all the tables had four place settings. There was a buzz in the air; the excitement of departing on an adventure filled the air.
Tyler and Kyle entered the dining room and waited as the host seated other guests. The room was very large, several hundred would be served over the next few hours. Cool shades of blue and green adorned the room to give it an ocean feel. As Tyler and Kyle admired their surroundings, they didn’t see another couple enter the room. The other couple was having a minor disagreement over the menu choices and weren’t looking as they arrived. The two couples collided.
“Sorry,” four voices apologized at once.
“No problem,” Kyle said. “We weren’t paying attention.”
“Neither were we,” said the black haired guy.

***************************

Dan Foster and Nick Taylor were on their first vacation in many years. Both of their jobs kept them extremely busy - Dan as a Physicians Assistant at a busy hospital, and Nick’s as assistant to the director of their local Parks and Rec council. A long weekend here and there was all they could squeeze in. When their schedules finally allowed time for a week long trip, they jumped at the chance. A cruise was all the enticement they needed.
After they checked into their cabin, they wandered throughout the ship taking it all in. They walked in companionable silence, enjoying the sea air. There were many other couples who were generally enjoying themselves and plenty of singles making it blatantly obvious they were available for a quick fling while at sea.
“I think we could spend the entire week just people watching,” Dan joked.
“Yeah, we could also make up stories about them,” Nick added. They both laughed.
They visited some of the shoppes but didn’t want to buy any souvenirs on the first day. Plus, they agreed they would find something one of a kind on an excursion.
Dinner time arrived and they stood outside the seafood restaurant glancing at the menu on display. “Maybe we should go to one of the other restaurants,” Nick said.
“Why?” Dan asked.
“I’m suddenly not in the mood for seafood.”
“Why?” Dan asked again.
“This is stupid.” Nick grabbed Dan’s hand and dragged him into the dining room.
And immediately collided with another couple.
