When Monster Masquerade came this year I was busy so I put it off. However I'm still busy now, and have like 7 days left... So I'm speed running the events rn. Though it would be funny if the Pumpkin Patch Prose I wrote this year was related to what I wrote last year.
It works out tho, bc the mod who rps are Sweet Bat in the livechat calls Vampirella her auntie which is perfect bc I gave my Vampirella a big sister... lmao
Anyway, here's the art I did this year:
Vampirella took a sip of her tea as she turned the page of her novel. The fireplace was going and all was well in the world.
Thump
Her eyes narrowed. What was that? My bats are all asleep.
The noise came from the grandfather clock near the fireplace. So she floated over to investigate the noise. As she listened in, there was another clockwork sound that didn’t belong to the tall time teller.
She rips open the door of the clock to reveal it’s inner guts.
A life size doll stands before her. He looks indifferent to his hiding spot being sniffed out. “Hey,” she begins, “you must be that third cursed doll squatting here!”
“Ah.” He noises, the satin ribbon of his hat falls downward. “Yes, I have run into the other two before.”
She grumbles something unpleasant and thinks about the blue dress wearing giggling one and the other with button eyes and brown curly hair. The one before her seems to be a living porcelain doll, and a well dressed one at that.
She can appreciate the small things.
Vampirella sighs and backs up to let the other step hoove out. “Since I fancy your attire, I’ll let you off easy. Either leave my residents at once or call someone to pick you up.”
“Oh. Okay.” And the mild mannered doll walked out of the sitting room and down the hall.
The vamp goat inspected the inside of the clock to check if the intruder did any damage to it. When she found no fault to the webwork of gears and cogs, she hurried down the hall after him.
He stood snug to a window, the very same one a certain flying goat went through last year. “Aren’t you going to take your leave?”
“Uh… I called my best friend to come and pick me up.”
Getting impatient, she sighs and motions to the left. “Then I suggest you wait in the near the front-
Crash!
A pink blur smashes straight through her viewing window and tackles the living doll into a hug.
To her horror she realizes she knows the rude pink blur.
“Oh! Auntie I’m sorry! I didn’t realize this was your manor. I just got really excited when Forgotten Friend finally told me where he was!” Vampirella looks in default and contempt at the broken glass that stained her lush carpet. “Sweet Bat…” her tone is a warning, “I have doors .”
