"Which color?"

Taehyung lightly fingered the several rows of lipstick testers that Seokjin had on display.

"Oh, the Dior #219 satin finish, for sure. " Seokjin returned around the last bite of his lunch he shoved into his already full cheeks.

Taehyung pulled his lips tight and hummed as his eyes washed over all the finely packaged tubes. His mind trying to piece together whatever it was that Seokjin had just suggested to him.

Seokjin huffed playfully and rose from his position squatting like a goblin behind the beautifully illuminated glass counter that was his luxury make up kiosk to quickly find and pick up the shade he suggested.

"You're hopeless." He said with a smile on as he popped the lid off and grabbed a little disposable tool to apply the shade to Tae's lips.

"Thank God I have you, Hyung." Taehyung wiggled happily until Seokjin gently grabbed his chin.

"Sit still or you'll be wearing it as blush too." Seokjin murmured firmly around his smirk.

"Oooo Seokjinnie , will you pick one for me too!?" Jimin excitedly cooed from their much larger jewelry kiosk, as he leaned over the glass counter and batted his eyelashes flirtatiously in their direction.

"Seokjinne, love, If you do, might I formally submit a request that you use whatever red you put on him last time?"

Taehyung fought a smile as Hoseok’s bright and sunny voice crackled through the ear pieces they all wore. Seokjin smiled too as he rolled his eyes and tried to focus on his task at hand.

"Oh no, not the red.."

They both paused to giggle at the very deflated tone that pulled heavily at Jungkook’s voice, even through the static Taehyung could hear the slight strain.

"What's the matter Kookie, baby? I thought you loved that color on Jimin-ah." Hoseok cooed quietly.

Taehyung glanced over at the men's shoe department as Jungkook shook his head and glared very un-amusedly at Hoseok who just waved adorably from where he stood straightening the women's Louboutin display.

Jungkook slowly lifted his hand to press the mic, "I do, that's the problem.."

"Seokjinnie, " Jimin's voice came through the ear bud deep and almost demonic as he pressed the mic to his lips, "I'll take the red, please."

Taehyung smiled as he heard Hoseok snort loudly at Jungkook’s very audible sigh.

"Isn't there better uses for company time and assets than openly flirting with one another?"

Seokjin quickly tossed the disposal tool in his little plastic waste bin and motioned for Taehyung to rub his lips together as he reached for his own mic button, "Yea, you could come over here and measure my inseam so that I might be able to get myself a pair of Armani slacks that make my ass look half as good as yours does today, Joonie."

Taehyung joined Jimin and Hoseok in cackling loudly as Seokjin bobbed his hip and blew a kiss at Namjoon's very flat expression. The big guy just shook his head and returned to rolling the lint catcher over his stock as it hung so crisply displayed under all the bright lights of the upscale department store around them.

"You gotta start doing squats if you want an ass like that Jinnie." Hoseok teased and Seokjin tossed a balled up receipt paper at him.

Seokjin returned to Taehyung’s side and grabbed up another disposable lip wand and began lathering a very lovely shade of deep red onto it.

"Here take this to, Jimin-ah," Seokjin passed him the tool and smacked him lightly on the ass as he pushed him from his kiosk, "- and get out so momma can make some money."

Seokjin looked over his shoulder as their empty store began to flood with patrons, filling in after their food court lunches.

It was Christmas time in the city, heavy foot traffic came in chaotic waves for them. But that was okay, seeing how they earned commission, they all loved the busy holiday season. It meant they went home with very big paychecks.

"Look alive lovelies, we got a fresh wave of Karen's coming." Hoseok mused before smiling warmly at an elderly woman who entered his department to begin scrutinizing every pair of very expensive shoes he had on display.

Taehyung scurried quickly over to his own kiosk that he shared with Jimin, ensuring he latched the door behind him before turning to apply the color to Jimin’s waiting lips.

"Why do you two tease him so much?" Taehyung hummed and Jimin just bobbed his eyebrows, "I thought you both loved him."

Jimin rubbed his lips together, "That's why we tease him."

Jimin glanced over Taehyung's shoulder,  "Oh? This is gonna be good."

Taehyung turned at the waist to watch as Jimin slid up to the counter behind them and greeted a white haired gentleman in a very expensive coat and his very young female friend, who judging by her attire and obvious flirtation, was not his daughter.

"Good afternoon Sir," Jimin cooed, looking lovelier than the woman in front of him as he leaned against the glass counter, "- how might I be of service to you?"

Taehyung turned at the sound of a throat being cleared next to him, the sight of a very portly Italian man leaned against the glass greeting him as the strong smell of cigars assaulted his nose.

"What's an angel like you doing working here?" The man said thickly through a smile as he tapped his plethora of gold rings against the glass.

Taehyung slid his best smile across his freshly painted lips and leaned very cat-like over the counter, "I get to spend all day with pretty things and handsome men, why wouldn't I want to work here?"

The compliment hit its intended mark as the man visibly puffed his chest. Tae glanced at his sausage of a ring finger, quickly identifying the reason the man was here.

"Looking for a Christmas gift for the wife today, handsome?" Taehyung cooed coyly.

"The wife, the daughter, the girlfriend in Manhattan and the one in L.A." The little man grunted and licked his lips.

How pleasant.

Taehyung let his mental social filter engage in the form of a slow blink.

"What would you recommend?"

Taehyung hummed, "Well, what do they like?"

"Hell if I know," He huffed and jabbed a fat finger against the glass, "-the wife wears a lot of this kinda stuff."

Tae slowly blinked again, "Cartier, she has good taste."

In jewelry, at least.

"You mean expensive taste." He grunted again.

Taehyung smiled and moved to unlock the display case, smoothly reaching inside to fetch the newest addition to the collection.

"This is the flagship of their holiday collection," Taehyung gently laid a very dazzling gold necklace across the white velvet display platter he had set on top of the glass,"-its a two and a half carat D VV² pendant diamond set in eighteen carat gold setting with matching chain."

"And that all means?" The man gestured vaguely to the necklace as he tilted his face to check out Jimin's bent over form next to Taehyung.

"It means it's crystal clear, lacking all color, and if there are any flaws it would be difficult for a seasoned grader to identify them even under 10x magnification." Taehyung smiled and leaned against the counter blocking the man's view of his best friend.

"How much?" The man let his eyes linger on Taehyung’s lips as he licked his own, "-for the necklace?"

Taehyung smiled, "Four thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine and some change."

His customer scoffed, "Five k for almost perfect?"

"Five thousand for a masterpiece that is perfect to the human eye." Taehyung cooed.

"Nice recovery." Jimin's mumbled voice poured into his ear.

"Okay, wrap it up, what else you got." He gestured with his hand motioning as if Taehyung wasn't moving fast enough, "-make the wrapping extra nice yea? That one is for my favorite girl in L.A. got an ass that won't quit that one."

"Pig."

Taehyung fought a smirk at his sassy best friend's very apt assessment of the current vile man that stood in front of their kiosk.

"Oh, my my my, if it isn't Taehyung’s favorite patron."  Hoseok purred in the earpiece.

"Oooo, is it the suit guy?" Taehyung saw Seokjin bob excitedly over his counter as he looked towards Namjoon's department.

"Mhmm. Twelve o'clock, coming in hot as usual."

Taehyung allowed himself a singular glance as he trailed down his glass displays to look for more items to suggest, discovering they were in fact correct. His favorite patron had returned. Though to be honest, he never came over to his little jewelry counter. He always came in, chatted with Namjoon as he paid an ungodly amount of money for three new suits every week, and left.

He was a beautiful man, built with thick broad shoulders that hourglass down to a lovely small waist. Seriously inhuman proportions that were absolutely delicious looking in every suit Namjoon put him in.

"Joonie told me he's a big shot prosecutor, Min..something." Seokjin purred happily as he leaned over his counter and admired him, and Taehyung chuckled as he watched Namjoon turn down his ear piece as he greeted him with a bow.

Taehyung paused on the BVLGARI display to fetch out a very lovely mother of pearl and diamond set in a gold pendant necklace to bring back to his customer.

He laid the new necklace across the display, and gently lifted the other up and out of the way.

"How about this one, for the wife?" Taehyung ran his fingers over the necklace softly, "-The mother of pearl inlay is a very elegant touch."

He turned to grab the velvet lined box that went with the man's first selection, setting the diamond necklace gently inside before closing it and laying it next to his POS system.

He turned back to the man, leaning on his palms against the counter as he waited for his assessment.

"What do you think?" He said with a small smile, "Is it perfect?"

"It'll do, and I'll take two of these for the other two." The man jabbed the glass with his little sausage finger once more.

"Would you like tennis bracelets in silver or gold?" Taehyung mused as he set the second necklace in its branded box.

"Doesn't matter." He huffed in return.

Taehyung grabbed the tray with the gold ones, "Eighteen carat, I assume? You seem like a man that buys only the finest things."

The man licked his lips and smirked, "How much?"

"One thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine...each. " Taehyung bat his eyelashes at him.

"And how much for you?"

"Fucking gag me."

Taehyung smirked at Jimin’s heated voice in his ear and leaned across the counter towards his vulgar customer, "More than you could afford."

The man laughed loudly with a deep chesty laugh, garnishing the attention of everyone in the immediate vicinity, "I like your spirit, beautiful."

The man leaned on his elbow across the counter as Taehyung retracted and began entering in the items for him to purchase.

"Do me a favor and wrap those nice and pretty for me, would ya doll?”

Taehyung smiled sweetly and held out his hand for the man’s method of payment to be deposited, “Of course, it’ll be nine thousand and ninety-one seventy nine today sir.”

The man frowned slightly as he dug his ungodly thick wallet from his back pocket and fetched a wad of hundred to shove into Tae’s waiting hand, “Keep the change doll.”

Taehyung smiled tightly, more grateful for the four hundred and fifty dollar commission he just made off the man than the nine dollar tip. But hey, tis the season.

It wasn’t long till he handed the man back his receipt and turned with the four boxes to their center counter. It was there that Jimin and him had set up their wrap stations. He carefully moved Jimin’s already wrapped gift as Jimin was busy with his guest once more, to set down his own.

“Uh-oh..”   He barely heard Hoseok’s voice, at this point they were all good at tuning out the conversation as they focused on their tasks.

“Mayday..Mayday!”  He frowned as Jeongguk’s voice was nothing but background noise when he squatted and ferreted through the rolls of wrapping paper for the one he wanted to use today. He chose a pretty gold and white. He stood with the roll and leaned forward to grab a matching ribbon.

“We have a code red, I repeat, code red!”

Taehyung giggled at Seokjin’s crystal bell of a voice that sang out over the walkie in his ear. He took his time cutting the little squares and rectangles he would need to wrap the little velvet boxes just right.

“Well, this is an interesting turn of events..”

Taehyung smiled and he folded the first box up pristinely, adding the ribbon for the perfect touch. It seems like Namjoon felt like participating with their antics once more.

“Kim Taehyung,” Hoseok’s voice hissing his name aggressively made him jump slightly, “-if you don’t stop wrapping that italian sausage of a man’s things and turn around, so help me god!”

Taehyung knitted his brows together with a surprising amount of attitude and whipped around quickly in the direction that he knew Hoseok would be standing. But it wasn’t Hoseok he saw. Instead his eyes meet the lovely rounded eyes of the big shot prosecutor, Min something.

“Oh, Hi,” Taehyung leaned lightly against the counter behind him and cleared his throat. He blinked several times and tried to compose himself and for a second he swore he saw a smile pull at the corners of his full lips, “Hello, can I help you?”

“You can,” He said with a warm, thick, deep voice and Taehyung swore he heard his knees declare their last will and testaments under the assault of it. The very handsome man glanced at the unfinished wrappings behind him, “-when you are done, of course.”

“Oh, yes,” Taehyung glanced over his shoulder, blushing instantly at his spaciness, “-I’ll be right with you.”

“Take your time, you're a busy man,” The man smiled slightly and shifted to brush his dark bangs back up off his forehead, “-and I’m a very patient one.”

Taehyung rolled his lips between his teeth and nodded slowly as he turned back around. He leaned on his palms for just a second to collect himself before he began wrapping once more.

“Oh..that was awful..” Jimin whispered quietly over the headset and Taehyung clenched his jaw as he glared at him.

“Why, what happened?” Hoseok hissed.

“Well firstly TaeTae led with, ‘Oh, Hi, Hello’...”

“Well how many of us here can say we would respond any better if a man as good looking as that talked to us. Hmm?” Hoseok hummed playfully.

“You have a boyfriend,” Jeongguk said flatly, “-two of them to be exact.”

Taehyung couldn’t help but snort and he could hear Seokjin’s giggles from behind him.

“Oh shush you, you know I think you are the hottest thing on god’s green earth.”

“Mhmm.” Jeongguk hummed and Taehyung giggled harder as he heard Jimin struggle to keep his composure and not burst out laughing as he was ringing out his guest.

“Oh, save your judgment for when you can hold a decent conversation around Joonie’s thighs in a pair of basketball shorts.” Hoseok sang sassily.

“Why do my thighs always have to be brought into things?” Namjoon huffed tiredly.

“The real question is why aren’t they brought into more things dear.” Seokjin spoke with a smile heavy in his tone.

Taehyung turned around and grabbed up a little paper bag to effortlessly slide the packages into and pass to his first guest, who was standing appraising the newcomer’s form in a manner that screamed ‘i have an inferiority complex’.

Taehyung blushed as he realized the man’s eyes were on him, just patiently and silently watching him, “Happy Holidays, Sir.”

“You too, doll.” The little Italian man grunted and snatched the bag before departing with a strong limp.

Taehyung pressed his palms to the glass and leaned forward slightly, peering back into his eyes through his lashes coyly, “Now, how may I be of service to you..Mr..?”

“God Damn, Get it TaeTae!”

Taehyung smiled as Hoseok’s voice rang out in his ear.

His new patron glanced at the ear piece and then back into his eyes, “Min. Min Yoongi, to be exact.”

He stepped forward, his hand landing next to Taehyung’s as he leaned against the display in between them.

“Well, who are you shopping for Yoongi-ssi?” Taehyung allowed himself a glance across the front of him as he leaned against the counter. Even through his sweater Taehyung could see the muscles that defined him.

“I have a date tonight, and I want to get him something he’ll never want to let go of.”

Taehyung blinked away from him, having to reconcile himself with the enormous wave of disappointment that flooded him. So this handsome stranger had a date, of course he did, he was literally stunning and well spoken. He had prospects, unlike Taehyung who was twenty-seven and working in retail still.

Taehyung looked down and leaned back away from the counter, taking a second to run his hand through his own sandy blonde hair before making eye contact once more, “Silver or Gold?”

Yoongi twisted his lips playfully and glanced down at the jewelry lit upon display beneath him, “I’m not sure. What would you recommend?”

Taehyung swiped his hand over the glass near Yoongi’s, gesturing to the necklaces laid out so beautifully across white velvet, “Well gold is classic, a staple, a ‘go-to’ if you will..”

Yoongi nodded and hummed deeply, his eyes seemingly more on Taehyung's hand than the jewelry he was motioning towards. Taehyung swallowed down the little bubble of excitement at the placement of his eyes and continued, “-an silver is cool and elegant.”

Yoongi’s eyes rolled up the length of his arm and lingered for a moment on Taehyung’s mouth as Tae ran the tip of his tongue across them to wet them.

“Mhm..” he hummed deeply and met his eyes once more.

Taehyung felt his eyelashes slightly flutter as he took a breath in, “-but personally, I prefer white gold. It has the durability and longevity of eighteen carat gold, with all the riveting elegance and style of the most platinum silver.”

God he smelled good. What the fuck kinda of cologne was it? He’d never smelled it before but it was some sort of sweet and woody concoction that held little tangy notes of citrus and made Taehyung’s mouth water.

“Then let’s do white gold, I want it to last a long time.”

Taehyung looked back at the glass counter to regather his wits as Yoongi looked back at his lips once more. He rolled his bottom lip between his teeth and bounced his leg lightly.

“How do you think it’s going?” Jeongguk whispered.

“I don’t know I can’t tell, Jiminie fill us in..” Hoseok hissed.

“I am also genuinely curious, and I can’t see shit from here..'' Namjoon mumbled deeply.

“He’s making Taehyung help him pick out a gift for his date tonight..” Jimin quietly murmured and Taehyung rapidly blinked, unable to hold his thoughts together.

“Bummer..” Seokjin mumbled.

Taehyung closed his eyes and rolled his tongue over his bottom lip.

“Of course he finally gets to talk to him an-”

Taehyung’s eyes flew open as the earpiece gently fell away from his ear. He turned his face to look wide eyed into Yoongi’s amused expression as he let the little black piece fall against Taehyung’s waist.

“My apologies,” Yoongi murmured deeply, “-but I prefer your undivided attention.”

Taehyung blushed instantly, “I'm sorry..” he breathed and averted his eyes.

“Why are you sorry?” Yoongi hummed and smiled softly as he tilted his face slightly to be able to look into Tae’s eyes once more.

“I’m not sure..” Taehyung chuckled breathily, “I hope you didn’t think I was ignoring you.”

Yoongi shook his head, “I don’t think you are capable of something as callous as that, but you were definitely distracted.”

Taehyung chewed lightly on his lip and looked down at Yoongi’s mouth as it pulled into a very charming smirk, “I was.”

Taehyung clapped his hands together, “So we want white gold, and we want to wow, yea?”

Yoongi chuckled deeply, “That sums it up so far, yes.”

Taehyung began to look at the collections nearby, “Necklace, earrings...rings?”

He hesitated on the last one, not really eager to help this man pick out an engagement ring today.

“Earrings,” Yoongi said surprisingly quickly, “-He’s got an exquisite profile I’d love to see accentuated with this elegance you speak so highly of.”

What a lucky guy, this date of Min Yoongi was. Taehyung would give anything to be described in such a way by the magnificent monument to all the potential of man that leaned like a GQ model against his glass counter.

‘I’m actually quite new to the city, and I work too much to get out. So I wonder if you could do me another favor?” Yoongi mused.

Taehyung hummed as he continued down the line of displays.

“What’s the best place for a really nice dinner?”

Taehyung sighed slightly, what was a really nice place?

“There’s this very lovely little restaurant on fifty-third street and Belmont,” Taehyung smiled softly as he lingered looking at several sets of earrings, the memories of pausing outside their large glass windows and looking wistfully at all the couples enjoying candle lit dinners flooded his mind, “-I’ve always wanted to go there, and they have great reviews. It’s called Reynaldo’s, but it’s by reservation only, and I don’t know if you’d be able to get one on christmas eve.”

Taehyung bent down and selected three different styles to pull gently from the case. He paused as he turned to walk back to where Yoongi lingered waiting, with his phone to his ear.

“Hello?” He began with a very smooth voice, “Yes, I’d like a reservation for two tonight for a Min Yoongi, say nine pm?”

Taehyung smiled and chewed on his lip as he sauntered back down to him and set the three sets on the velvet display in front of him.

Yoongi chuckled, “Yes, the Min Yoongi.”

Taehyung scoffed lightly, were there really so many of those in this city that he had to clarify that?

“Thank you, I appreciate you so much.” Yoongi pulled the phone from his ear as he looked down at the earrings. He looked from them and up to Taehyung’s face, his eyes washing over all of Taehyung’s features as he tucked the phone into his coat pocket.

“No, these aren’t it,” Yoongi mused, “-not special enough..”

Taehyung twisted his lips and thought as he glanced over his jewelry collection. His mind racing through all of his options.

“How about this,” Yoongi leaned closer to him and Taehyung blushed as he looked back into his dark eyes, “-show me your favorite pair in this whole store..”

“My favorite, huh?” Taehyung murmured softly and arched a brow.

Yoongi smiled and hummed.

Taehyung breezed away from him heading straight for the Tiffany display on the very end, and focal point, of his kiosk. He reached in, knowing exactly where his absolute favorite pair were located. If he couldn’t have them, and he couldn’t have Min Yoongi, then at least he knew he could have Min Yoongi looking forever at that pair of earrings and maybe occasionally thinking of the fair beautiful man who sold them to him.

“These.” Taehyung breathed reverently as he set them down like newborn babies. They were a pull through style, with long white gold strands meant to hang down on either side of the lobe. Each strand encrusted with flawless tiny little diamonds, while the bottoms were adorned with white half carat hunks of sparkling gemstone. They quite literally sparkled and glowed in any light and Taehyung was absolutely enamored with them.

Yoongi looked away from Taehyung’s smiling face and glanced at the earrings, his eyes trailing after Taehyung's fingers as he softly petted them, “They are stunning.”

“They are perfect.” Taehyung whispered.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Yoongi look back up at his face, and he felt his cheeks beginning to burn once more.

“Try them on.”

Taehyung looked at him wide eyed, “-What?”

“I want to see what they look like,” Yoongi smiled from ear to ear, “-won’t you try them on for me please?”

Good lord. Never in his life had man been able to make him swoon like he just did. Taehyung cleared his throat and broke eye contact, swallowing roughly as he reached up and removed his current earrings. He very gently pulled one of them through and returned to resting his palms on the counter as he peered through his lashes at Yoongi once more. He knew his cheeks were flushed, and honestly he was begining not to care anymore.

“Both of them, please.”

Taehyung licked his lips once more, blushing even harder as Yoongi’s eyes flicked to the motion. He shifted once more to lift the other one and slide it through his other ear. He blinked several times and then turned to look into Yoongi's waiting expression.

“What do you think?” Taehyung cooed, he didn’t mean for that to come out as flirtatiously as it did, or maybe he did. Only God knew as he was losing his mind under the sheer heat that was radiating from Yoongi’s slightly amused expression.

Yoongi lifted his hand from the counter and reached up to brush some errant strands of Taehyung’s hair from his temple and tuck them behind his ear. His warm fingers taking their time around the back of his ear and down the length of the earring. All the while the backs of them grazed down the side of his neck.

Taehyung closed his eyes and took a deep breath in, his lip unconsciously returning to roll itself over his bottom teeth to be chewed on nervously. Taehyung opened his eyes and glanced at Yoongi out of the corner of his eyes, his breath getting stuck in his throat as he watched him unashamedly admire Taehyung's features.

“Beautiful.”

Taehyung blushed, he knew that Yoongi meant the earrings, but it felt like he was referring to him, and the idea melted him entirely. He cleared his throat and leaned against the counter as he looked away once more.

Yoongi chuckled softly, “I’ll take them, thank you.”

“Mhm,” Taehyung quickly reached up and pulled them from his ears, “-would you like me to wrap them too?”

“That would be lovely, thank you.”

Taehyung glanced down at his very sculpted hand as it slid his metal black card across the glass. Taehyung smirked to himself as he nestled the earrings into their mint blue Tiffany’s gift box. He really did find it unnaturally attractive that Yoongi hadn’t asked the price, he just slid over his card without batting an eye. Taehyung wondered if he cared at all that he was purchasing seven thousand dollar earrings for his date tonight. If he did, he didn’t show it. All he did was lean there like the year’s sexiest man and admire Taehyung as he rang them up.

“It’s such a shame to have to work on Christmas Eve..” Yoongi mused deeply.

Taehyung smiled as he slid him his card and receipt to sign, “It’s not too bad, I make lots of money.”

“I hope they don’t keep you here too late, I’m sure you have plans with your family tonight..”

Taehyung frowned slightly as he pulled a roll of glitter covered silver and light blue paper and set it on his wrapping station, “The store does close early, I’ll probably be out of here by eight fifteen at the latest, and no I don’t have any plans tonight.”

He leaned forward to pick a lovely white decorative ribbon to go with the packaging.

“Oh? You don’t” Yoongi sounded surprised, albeit also like he was speaking through a smile, “Not even friends?”

“My friends are all in serious relationships,” Taehyung paused and blinked as he registered what he was about to say, “-with each other actually. So I have a case of perpetually the third or fourth wheel”

He chuckled at Yoongi’s slightly confused expression as he turned to gather the little light blue box, “Fourth wheel?”

Taehyung giggled and glanced at Jimin who was making a weird face and pointing aggressively at his palm, “Yea, i’m blessed to live alongside a very sassy throuple.”

“I bet that makes wine nights a hoot.”

A hoot? Why did that make this young and dashing man sound like a sixty year old man. Taehyung giggled and began effortlessly wrapping the little box.

“Oh all my friends are truly a blast, I’m blessed to have found a family amongst them” Taehyung smiled warmly to himself as he tied up the bow all nice and pretty.

“Sounds lovely.” Yoongi cooed deeply.

Taehyung smiled widely from ear to ear as he turned around, giggling to himself at the slightly widened expression that washed over Yoongi’s face for half a second. Almost as if he was dazzled by Taehyung for a moment, or at least that's what Taehyung hoped for.

“It is.” Taehyung set the little box on the counter between them, “I hope you have a great date tonight Yoongi-ssi.”

He blushed as Yoongi unashamedly let his eyes roll over all of Taehyung’s smiling face, “Me too.”

“Happy Holidays.” Taehyung bowed slightly.

“Excuse me!” Taehyung turned at the waist to look at the older woman that leaned over the counter at the end of the kiosk, literally waving to flag him down, “Can I please get some assistance?”

“Happy Holidays.” Yoongi cooed deeply and Taehyung felt himself blush even though he was no longer looking at him.

“I’ll be right with you ma’am.”  Taehyung smiled warmly.

Fucking Karens. Taehyung fought the urge to frown as he righted himself to look back once more at Yoongi, only to look upon his back as he walked out of the store. He smiled  and swayed in place lightly, rolling his lip between his teeth to happily chew on it. He glanced down at the counter to grab up his velvet display panel, when he froze in place.

The little gift was still there.

Untouched.

Right where he had placed it.

His eyes flicked back up to try to find Yoongi but he was gone. Gone for his date and forgot his very expensive gift. He reached for it, planning to move it to a safe place till Yoongi inevitably came rushing back for it, when Jimin slammed into his side.

“Open it!” Jimin hissed into his ear.

Taehyung knitted his brow and looked him up and down, “What? No? I just wrapped it, and besides it's not like it’s mine.”

“It is yours,” Jimin grabbed it from the counter and placed it in his hands, “-he left it for you.”

Taehyung frowned and rolled his eyes, “No, he just forgot them. They are for his date.”

“Kim Taehyung, I swear to god you are the most stubborn and dense man I have ever met and that’s saying a lot because we both know and love Jeongguk,” Taehyung giggled lightly with him, “but as your best friend I need you to trust me when I tell you that man left this on the counter intentionally for you.”

“Hello!?” The woman called.

“We’ll be right there, patience is a virtue ma’am.”

Taehyung snorted at his very sassy and very rude best friend, “How do you know?”

He blushed as he rolled it in his fingers, could Yoongi have actually left it for him?

“ I saw him write something and slid it inside, then he smiled as he slid it across counter and waited for you to pick it up to wrap it.” Jimin excitedly looked down at the box.

“That’s very vague..” Taehyung murmured.

‘So open it, and if I’m wrong then you’ll just re-wrap it and he’ll never know the difference.” Jimin shrugged and hummed.

Taehyung glanced playfully at him then ripped the paper off. He paused as he ran his thumb over the lip of the box, what if Jimin was wrong? Was he ready for that level of disappointment?

He rolled both his lips between his teeth and opened it slowly, gasping as a small card slipped out. Him and Jimin flailed wildly as they tried to catch it before it hit the floor. Jimin caught it successfully and held it close to his face as he inspected it.

Taehyung looked at the side he could see, quickly identifying it was a business card with all of Yoongi’s personal information. But Jimin’s eyes were fixed to the back of the card, a smile blooming widely on his features.

“What does it say?” Taehyung hissed, unable to stand the anticipation.

Jimin smirked and flipped the card around casually in his fingers and Taehyung read the quickly scrawled sentence. It was a simple sentence, but it was one Taehyung knew would change his life forever.

‘See you at 8:15, beautiful.’
