Chapter Text

“Oooooh hyungie!~ Have you told him yet?”

Yoongi looked up at the voice and raised a brow in confusion at the boxy grin and bright blue haired man standing next to his cubicle. “Told who what? And I told you not to call me that Taehyung-ah.” Taehyung sat down in the free chair next to the elder, which Yoongi swears materialises out of nowhere every morning. He puts it back in the empty cubicle across the floor every evening and even when he arrives at work early, it still manages to show back up in his cubicle and give Taehyung and his other coworkers the chance to bother the elder when he’s trying to work. “Told Jimin-ssi you like him.” Yoongi deadpanned and turned his attention back to his computer, ignoring the younger. “Go away Tae-ah.” Taehyung, being the ever persistent pain in the elder’s ass, simply rolls his chair closer, and swipes the elder’s phone from under his nose. “Nah. You started it by telling me about your crush hyung.”

Yoongi rolled his eyes, “As if I had a choice in the matter..” He muttered, reaching over to take his phone from Taehyung and failing miserably. “Damnit Tae-ah. I need to get this shit done.” Taehyung moved a few inches out of reach, continuing going through the elder’s phone. “No one is stopping you hyung. Besides, why are you in such a hurry. Hm? Got a date with lover boy?” Yoongi huffed and refused to answer, turning back to the spreadsheet in front of him. Taehyung raised a brow and grinned, “You do! Don’t you?!” The elder rolled his eyes again and shook his head, almost dejectedly. “No Taehyung. I do not. We aren’t dating and we aren’t going to.”

“Oh come on, you practically worship the ground he walks on, why not?” Yoongi sighed, sitting back in his chair, clearly not getting out of the conversation. “Because Tae. He isn’t interested in me like that.”

Taehyung snorted, “Yeah okay. I’ve seen the way he looks at you hyung. He looks at you like Namjoon-hyung looks at Jin-hyung.” Yoongi just shook his head and mumbled, “We’ve talked about this Tae-ah. He’s my best friend. I’m not about to ruin our friendship just because-”

“Because you’re in love with him and you would rather suffer in silence? That doesn’t make a single bit of damn sense Yoongi-hyung and you know it.” Taehyung paused, looking down at the elder’s phone, being nosy and reading through Yoongi and Jimin’s texts. “You’re really dense hyung.” Yoongi snatched his phone away from Taehyung, annoyed. “Why are you reading our texts?” Taehyung shrugged. “Curiosity killed the cat and you can tell how interested a person is just through their texts. Which, by the way, your obliviousness is killer.”

“You’re such a brat Taehyung.” Yoongi said, putting his phone back down and going back to his work. Taehyung snuck the phone again, entertaining himself with perusing the elder’s phone while Yoongi mumbled to himself about the spreadsheet their manager Namjoon had him working on.

“Hey guys.” Yoongi glanced up at his manager, Namjoon, and grunted in greeting. “Hey Namjoon-hyung.” Taehyung replied, putting Yoongi’s phone down and turning his attention to his boss. “What’s up?” Namjoon raised a brow when he noticed Taehyung with Yoongi’s phone but chose not to comment. “Uh..Right. They’re calling for a pretty bad snowstorm so go ahead and finish up for the night and head home. And uh, Taehyung-ah? If you could actually attempt to do your work during the work day, that’d be great.” Taehyung laughed and stood up, “Nah, it’s a lot more fun tormenting Yoongi-hyung about the lov-”

“Go away Taehyung-ah!” Yoongi interrupted. Namjoon snorted, “Does that ever really work Yoongi-hyung?” Yoongi sighed and shook his head, glancing at his phone and noticing no messages from Jimin, which was unusual. “No.. it doesn’t..” He said, sounding confused as he was preoccupied with his phone. “Right, well, I’m gonna head out then. I emailed you what I’ve done so far.” Yoongi continued, standing up and grabbing his jacket and scarf. Namjoon nodded, picking up on the slight concern on the elder’s face. “Thanks. Is Jimin-ah alright?”

The elder glanced at Namjoon, who was wearing a knowing look. “Uh, yeah. I guess. He had a lunch date with someone earlier and he hasn’t text yet so I’m assuming it went well..” Yoongi frowned, ignoring the twinge in his chest. “Anyway, drive safe Joon-ah. Tell Jin-hyung I said hi.” He didn’t allow Taehyung or Namjoon to reply, and left quickly, going to his car and cursing at the snow, which was already falling heavily.

-----

“Yoongi-hyung! Are you here?!”

Jimin knocked on the door of his best friend’s apartment and let himself in, bending down to pick up the calico cat that greeted him at the door. “Hey Shadow..” He gave the cat a scratch under the chin and deposited her onto the couch as Jimin walked further into the seemingly empty apartment. “Where’s your elusive owner, hm?” Jimin muttered, more to himself instead of the cat. Once walking through the small 2 bedroom apartment and confirming that it was indeed empty, Jimin huffed and looked down at his phone which had been radio silent from the elder since last night. He had told Yoongi he had a lunch date this morning with a man named Kihyun, who turned out to have only one goal in mind and was really arrogant and talked about himself the entire time. “Damnit hyung..” Jimin plopped down onto the couch and smiled at the cat who immediately curled into his lap for pets. He sent another text to Yoongi and turned the tv on to wait.

It had been nearly 3 hours since Jimin had text the elder, and although he knew that Yoongi was most likely just busy with work, he was a little disappointed he hadn’t heard from him. It wasn’t like him to not answer and he figured he had upset the elder somehow. He sighed and turned his attention to Shadow, who was sat against his leg and purring softly. “Oh Shadow.. What are we gonna do?” He had long since come to the conclusion that Yoongi only seen him as a friend and although Yoongi refused to go on dates with literally anyone, Jimin had tried to move on and had tried to date other people, but the same problem kept it from getting serious. His heart just simply couldn’t give up on the elder. Shadow just turned her head and bumped it into his hand, asking for more pets and purring loudly. “Okay.. Why don’t we start the kettle and start on dinner?” At the sound of dinner, Shadow jumped down from her spot and trotted over to where her bowl sat. Jimin snorted and gave her a scoop of her dinner, smiling at the happy meow and purr she gave. “Now then. What does hyung have for dinner..”

----

Yoongi finally managed to get his car parked, though it was 3 blocks away from his apartment, but the snow was getting far out of hand and most of the parking spots were covered completely or already taken. The radio had mentioned it being one of the worst of the season, if not the past decade and he made a disgusted face at the fact that he was going to have to start walking in it. By the time he reached his apartment building, he was completely covered in snow, and had been sprayed with snowdrifts from the snowplows that were trying to clear the streets. He tried to shake off as much of the snow as possible before entering the building and made his way carefully up the stairs. He made it to his floor where he could smell something delicious being cooked and as he got closer to his apartment, he realised that the smell was coming from his apartment. His phone pinged and he noticed a text from Taehyung.

Taehyung-ah

Hope ya got home safe

Enjoy your date ;)

Yoongi

It’s not a date Taehyung

Taehyung-ah

Denial doesn’t look good on you hyung

He likes you

Yoongi

Taehyung-ah

Yoongi rolled his eyes, muttering to himself as he walked into the apartment.

Dinner was nearly ready when Yoongi showed up, Jimin settling on simple and comforting. He was in the middle of cutting up some fruit for himself to go along with it when the door opened.  “Stupid-.. Pain in my-... fucking bullshit-...” A deep voice muttered to no one in particular and had Jimin giggling. “Rough day then hyung?” Yoongi rolled his eyes and peeled his coat and shoes off, clothes soaked through from the snow. “I thought I told you that you were allowed one snowstorm a year Jiminie?” He said, opting to tease the younger instead. Jimin laughed, “It was a good deal! I just couldn’t pass it up hyungie.” Yoongi snorted and started to enter the kitchen before Jimin stopped him. “Uh-uh. You go shower and change first. You’re drenched and covered in snow and ice.” The elder raised a brow and then couldn’t help the chuckle when Jimin reached up and dusted snow out of his hair. “Point made.” The elder waited for the younger to turn around and then pulled him into a back hug which had Jimin squealing and laughing. “Yoongi-hyung!! Let go! You’re gonna get me wet!”

Yoongi laughed and shook his hair out over Jimin’s shoulder who whined and swatted at the elder. “Damnit Yoonie! Go away!” Yoongi continued laughing and let the younger go, dodging the smacks that Jimin tried to land on him. He disappeared into his room and left Jimin to finish dinner. Jimin glanced at Shadow, who was sat on the counter and had clearly been watching her owner and him and was definitely judging. “Oh hush you.” Jimin said, ignoring the blush that was creeping up his neck and leaving his cheeks twinged with pink. He calmed his racing heart as best that he could, finishing dinner and the fruit, putting together their plates and adding two steaming cups of tea to the counter where they usually ate. Yoongi came out of the shower, grey sweats, a white t-shirt and his black hair damp and hanging in his eyes, which had Jimin swallowing and looking away with an even more prominent blush than before. Yoongi seemed not to notice, or at least chose not to react, because he simply sat down at the counter next to Jimin and nudged his side with his elbow. “Thanks for dinner Minnie.” Jimin mumbled, “You’re welcome Yoonie.”

“So what are you doing here, anyway?” Yoongi asked, putting his now empty dish in the sink. Jimin frowned and followed suit, “What do you mean? I told you I was here? Twice actually. But you never replied.” Yoongi mimicked the younger’s frown. “I haven’t gotten any texts from you since you told me about your date last night.. Which, by the way, how did that go?” Jimin stared at the elder, now even more confused. “Hyung, I’ve sent you like 15 texts since last night..” Yoongi pulled out his phone and handed it to Jimin before turning his attention to the dishes, “I haven’t gotten anything from you Min. I would have replied if I had, you know that.” The younger took the phone and unlocked it, noticing it was still on the text conversation between Yoongi and Taehyung. Jimin frowned at the fact that Taehyung had called the elder ‘hyungie’ and even more so at the mention of a date, and quickly backed out of the texts. He went to the elder’s messages between them and realised that he was right and that none of the messages sent had gone through to the elder. “That’s weird..”

He grabbed his phone and sent another text which went through without an issue. He shrugged, “I don’t know what happened. You’re receiving them now..” Yoongi shrugged with him and finished washing the dishes. “What did you send me?” Jimin shrugged again, walking into the living room and plopping down on the couch. “Nothing important.” Yoongi hummed in reply and left it at that. “How did the date go?” Jimin snorted and made a face. “Terrible. All he was interested in was fucking.” Yoongi ignored the surge of jealousy that coursed through him at that and schooled his expression as Jimin ranted. “All he wanted to do was talk about himself. His workout routine, and how many guys and girls he’s been with. Nothing but an arrogant piece of shit. I told him if all he wanted to do was fuck then he could fuck himself and leave me out of it.” Yoongi raised a brow and joined the younger on the couch. “Good on you.”

Jimin hummed in acknowledgement, reaching for the remote and flipping through the channels until he settled on his favourite movie channel. Yoongi sat back, reaching for his cat, who had finally joined the two and clambered into his lap and began purring. “Such a pretty kitty.” He mumbled, scratching under her chin and raising a brow at Jimin who was smiling at the two. “What are you smiling at?” the elder teased. Jimin snorted and sat back on the couch, “You.” He supplied simply. Yoongi continued to watch the younger and couldn’t help the small smile that snuck on his lips.

------

They put on a movie and Jimin curled into the elder’s side with a relaxed sigh, falling asleep almost immediately and leaving Yoongi alone to watch the film and be endeared by the younger’s soft sighs as he slept. The elder scrolled through his phone, noticing he had a slew of texts from Taehyung.

Yoongi-hyung?

...........

Hyung?... I’m in danger.. aren’t I?

Yoongi groaned and tossed his phone to the side, ignoring the texts and cursing internally. He knew he should have never mentioned his crush on Jimin to Taehyung. He was a chaos demon in disguise and loved to interfere in people’s love lives, if Namjoon and his now partner Seokjin were anything to go by. It took all of two weeks of Taehyung being involved for the pair to end up dating and it seemed as if he was the next target. Jimin stirred at a particularly loud part of the movie and blinked the sleep from his eyes, causing Yoongi’s heart to clench at the cute, sleepy expression Jimin gave him. “Enjoy your nap?” the elder teased. The younger rolled his eyes and sat up with a yawn, “Yes I did. How was the movie?” he teased back, knowing the elder hadn’t bothered to pay attention. “A masterpiece. Truly tragic you missed it.” He grinned and Jimin mirrored him, grinning and shoving Yoongi’s shoulder playfully. “Oh whatever hyung.”

The snow still hadn’t stopped and as it was getting very late, Yoongi turned the tv off and stood up to get ready for bed. Jimin stood up and followed the elder to his bedroom. The second room was an office and when the younger spent the night, although they were still very adamant on their feelings to everyone but themselves, they still shared a bed. And clothes. Jimin rooted through the elder’s closet to find a pair of pyjamas and landed on a hoodie and a pair of sweats, gathering them in his arms and disappearing to the bathroom to take a quick shower before bed. Yoongi made sure both phones were plugged up to their chargers next to the bed and then climbed under the covers, making sure to leave enough room for the younger.

--------

The next morning, Yoongi woke to find the younger curled into his chest, lips parted and a soft, sleepy expression on his face. The elder didn’t want to disturb the younger but he desperately needed the bathroom and after a quick glance at his alarm clock, realised that Shadow was going to start reigning havoc if she didn’t get her breakfast. So he slowly moved away, grimacing when Jimin tightened his grip on the elder’s shirt and mumbled incoherently under his breath. Yoongi tried again, giving a reassuring pat to the younger’s back and finally managing to extract himself. The elder disappeared to the bathroom first and then the kitchen to give Shadow her breakfast and to start on breakfast for Jimin and himself. He went back to the bedroom to turn off his alarm and retrieve his phone, noticing a few texts from Namjoon.

Namjoon-ah

I’m sure you’ve looked outside but work is cancelled

Just FYI

Also, please don’t kill Taehyung-ah

Despite the fact he doesn’t work when he SHOULD

He does work and I need him

Yoongi

He deserves what’s coming to him

He’s a brat and a pain in the ass

And deleted my texts

Jimin’s texts more importantly

Namjoon-ah

Ah.. I see..

How is Jimin?

Yoongi

He’s fine

He was here when I got home

Because he was worried

Thanks to Taehyung

Namjoon-ah

I’m sorry on his behalf then

But he does have a point

Yoongi

Not you too Joon come on

I get enough hell from Tae and Hobi

Hell even the intern you hired has started on it

Namjoon-ah

Jungkook-ssi?

Yoongi

Yes

Namjoon-ah

Well… I mean..

Yoongi

Joon

Namjoon-ah

Just think about it hyung

Taehyung means well

Personally if it gets the two of you together.. Can it be so bad?

Yoongi sighed, turning his attention back to the breakfast, finishing it up as Jimin woke up and stumbled into the kitchen. Yoongi made Jimin a cup of coffee, adding too much sugar and creamer to be considered coffee anymore but knowing the younger preferred it that way. “Thanks hyungie.” The younger mumbled, taking the cup and sipping the sugary drink. “You’re welcome Minnie. Have a seat, breakfast is almost done.” Jimin nodded sleepily and rounded the counter to sit down, laying his head on the countertop and causing Shadow to wander over in interest and paw at the blond hair that Jimin had yet to brush. “Yah, Go away!” the younger whined, swatting at the cat and huffing in annoyance when she decided to pounce his head instead. “Hyung!” Yoongi laughed and grabbed the cat, dropping her to the floor. “Now, now Shadow, you know Jiminie isn’t a morning person. At least let him finish his liquid sugar first.” The younger rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at no one in particular.

The two ate breakfast and spent the day in quiet domesticity, the usual habits of being together falling into place, Jimin scrolling his phone and occasionally giggling at a meme or video, Yoongi leaning back on the couch and Jimin’s head in his lap while he had his laptop perched on the arm of the couch. They cook lunch together, floating around each other and working in contented silence. Dinner was much the same, floating around each other and occasionally mentioning drama with work, commenting on a movie or show they were watching, ignoring the weather outside and lost in their own cocoon of comfort. They were back on the couch, Yoongi leaning over his laptop, working on something Namjoon had emailed him, Jimin scrolling through his phone.

It was getting late and the boredom had finally gotten to the younger, making him restless. Yoongi was still engrossed in his work and even though the younger tried to get the elder’s attention, he was inevitably ignored. "Hyung, come on! I'm bored!" Yoongi sighed and sat back, rubbing his eyes from the strain of staring at his laptop and winced at the tightness in his shoulders from being slumped over for so long. "Sorry Min. You know how I get. Besides, I need to get this done."

"I'm sure Namjoon-hyung won't be bothered by you taking a break. Anyways, it's almost 10." Jimin said, sitting up and tossing his phone to the side of the couch. "Already?" Yoongi asked in slight shock. "Why didn't you say something sooner?" The younger shrugged and stretched, standing up and going into the kitchen. "You were too focused on your work so I thought I'd just leave you to it." The elder frowned, standing and following the younger as if being pulled by a magnet. "Since when do you care if I'm focused on my work?" Jimin snorted and grabbed two cups from the cabinet, pulling down the hot chocolate that the elder kept specifically for him and starting the kettle for some hot water. "I'm allowed to have my moments hyungie." The younger said, turning to face Yoongi who was directly behind him. The elder raised a brow and nodded slowly, "Mhm.. sure you are."

"You didn't work yesterday and you get restless if you're not working on something, so.." Jimin shrugged again, trailing off. Yoongi gave him a soft smile and opened his arms to pull the younger into a hug. "Thanks Minnie." The younger blushed and hugged the elder back, resting his head on his chest. "I didn't do anything hyung."

"You don't really need to do anything for me to thank you and appreciate you Jimin-ah." Yoongi said quietly. Jimin blushed even more, burying his face into his best friend’s chest, whining in embarrassment. "It's true though. I'd be lost without you."

"Yoonie…" Jimin whined again, trying to hide the blush on his cheeks. The elder chuckled and gave the younger a gentle pat on the head before pulling away and taking over the hot chocolate making process. "Sorry Jiminie." He said, though clearly teasing.

The kettle beeped, signifying it was ready and the elder fished out the pack of marshmallows that he had hidden specifically from the younger, knowing that Jimin would have eaten every last one of them if he knew about them. "Hey! I didn't know you had those!" The younger exclaimed, annoyed. Yoongi snorted and laughed, pouring two packs of cocoa mix into Jimin's cup, along with a handful of the marshmallows. "That's because I hid them. You would have eaten them and then we would have had none for now." Jimin pouted, huffing dramatically as he watched the elder make his drink. Jimin honestly loved when they were domestic like this. As if they had been together for years and not just platonically. It was getting harder to hide the blushing and the longing stares, and even harder to explain them away. He wanted to believe their friends and say the feelings were returned but he also didn't want to ruin their dynamic. They got along so well as it was now, what if he brought it up and it ruined everything? What if Yoongi didn’t want him around anymo-

"Earth to Park Jimin? Hello ? Min?"

"Huh?" Jimin blinked and stared in confusion at Yoongi’s hand in front of his face, which was snapping its fingers to pull Jimin from his thoughts. "What?"

"I've been trying to get your attention." The elder said, a slight look of concern on his face. "Oh.. uh. Sorry hyung. What's up?" Yoongi pointed at the hot chocolate and held out a bowl of strawberries that Jimin had missed him grabbing. "Oh- thanks Yoongi-hyung." The younger took the bowl and cursed himself internally for the panic, already feeling his face heat up once again. "You're welcome.. Hey, are you okay? You've been pretty flushed the past few days. Like more so than usual. I know the cold has some part in it, but I don't want you getting sick." Yoongi asked innocently, noticing the blush. It only succeeded in causing the blush to deepen and Jimin to nearly bolt from the kitchen and leaving the elder alone and confused. Yoongi blinked and sighed, shaking his head slowly and grabbing his own cup of hot chocolate to follow the younger back to the living room.

Jimin was curled on one side of the couch, his hands wrapped around his cup and holding it to his lips, sipping slowly and keeping his eyes trained on the tv. Yoongi sat next to him, taking one of the strawberries and biting into it, swatting at Shadow who had decided she wanted to join in on the snacking. "You can't have strawberries Shadow, they're bad for you." He noticed Jimin watching him and gave the younger a small smile. When the younger looked away without responding, the elder gave a dramatic sigh and took the cup of cocoa from Jimin and sat it on the small table in front of the couch and then turned his body to face the younger. "Okay. What's going on Jimin-ah? This isn't like you." Jimin swallowed and tried to ignore the look the elder was giving him. "Nothing's going on hyung, really."

"I don't believe you Min. I know you better than anyone. You keep flipping moods and I'm starting to get whiplash." Yoongi said, attempting to tease the younger. Jimin frowned and looked away, not responding. "Minnie?" The elder spoke softly. "I didn't mean it in a bad way.. it's just that. I worry if I've done something to upset you sometimes. Especially lately."

Jimin shook his head, speaking carefully. "You've not done anything to upset me hyung. I'm just.. I'm just thinking." Yoongi’s brow furrowed, "Thinking? About what?" When the younger spoke, it was barely a whisper and the elder nearly missed it. "Us." Yoongi’s throat went dry and he tried to ignore the stuttering in his heart, "Oh.. what.. uhm, what about us?" He replied, almost as quietly. Jimin turned his head and looked at the elder, gauging his reaction, as if he were steeling himself and needed encouragement. Yoongi met his gaze, hoping to convey all of his emotions in the look. "Do-.. do you like me Yoongi?" The elder tried to hide his surprise and before he could really think about his actions, he found himself nodding. "More than friends?" Jimin asked, watching the elder’s eyes grow wide and his cheeks tinge with pink. Yoongi didn't trust himself to speak and nodded again, swallowing and trying to slow the crashing heartbeats against his chest. Jimin bit his lip, processing the answer and unsure of what to say now. Yoongi opted to fill the silence, asking the same. "Do you like me as more than friends Jimin-ah?" The younger nodded, focusing on the cup of cocoa. "I thought it was obvious, honestly."

"I'm really dense, as everyone has constantly reminded me." Yoongi said, chuckling. Jimin snorted and giggled, "That's an understatement hyung."

"Yah! You're supposed to be on my side!"

"Well if the shoe fits.." The younger teased and squealed when the elder pounced him, tickling him. "You brat!"

Jimin squirmed under the elder and squealed again, giggling madly as he was tickled, finally catching Yoongi’s hands and pushing them away from his side. "You've made your point hyung! No more tickles!" The elder raised a brow in challenge, "With that attitude? Oh I don't think so." To which he managed to get his hands free from Jimin's hold and continued attacking his sides until they were both breathless and Jimin’s face was red from laughing so hard. The awkwardness seemed to have disappeared which both were secretly thankful for. They were both aware it would need to be addressed but for the time being, they sat up, finished their hot cocoa and turned their attention to one of Jimin’s Christmas romance movies.

----

After another cup of cocoa for Jimin and tea for Yoongi, a late night snack of popcorn and another cheesy romance movie, neither had brought up their confessions or addressed the fact that Jimin was practically in the elder’s lap for the second movie, cuddled into his chest with Yoongi’s arms wrapped around the younger’s waist and holding him close. Yoongi’s phone pinged with a notification from Namjoon which was a link to their local weather station’s website that talked about the severity of the storm and the power outages that people were experiencing. “Let’s hope it doesn’t hit our power too.” Jimin mumbled, reading the article along with Yoongi, who nodded in agreeance.

Jimin extracted himself from the elder’s lap and stood up, going to the window to see the progress of the snow. “Wow, It’s really coming down out there..” Yoongi stood up and followed him, moving to stand directly behind the younger and peer over his shoulder to look out the window. Snow was piled up on the small windowsill and the road was completely covered, looking like something out of one of the christmas romance movies they had been watching. The younger spoke quietly, his focus on the peaceful looking street. “It looks so pretty and peaceful outside hyung.” Yoongi hummed softly, not looking at the snow. His focus was on the side profile of his best friend and the owner of his heart. The street lights cast a soft glow on the younger’s face, soft skin, pink cheeks and plump lips. “Yeah.. pretty..” Yoongi replied, his voice soft and his heart beating wildly.

Jimin glanced at the elder and felt the heat in his cheeks growing, his heart matching the other’s tempo, crashing against his chest. Yoongi didn’t move back when Jimin turned to face him. His eyes searched Jimin’s face, noticing the quickened breaths, the shade of red creeping up his neck, the nervousness and constant flickering in his eyes, flashing between the elder’s eyes and his lips, silently asking. Jimin’s lips parted slightly, gulping, steeling himself. “Yoongi..” Soft. A whisper that could have been missed if it weren’t for their close proximity. If it weren’t for the focus Yoongi was giving him. The elder’s hands found their way to the younger’s waist, settling there, touch soft and careful. “Jimin-” Yoongi paused and swallowed, speaking more firmly, his eyes not leaving Jimin’s. “Are you okay with this?”

Jimin started nodding before Yoongi had even finished speaking. The grip on his waist tightened, and he felt his back touch the wall next to the window, the elder pushing gently, stepping closer and closing the already thin gap of space between them. “Hyung..” the younger whispered, tilting his head closer. Yoongi closed the distance then, his lips brushing lightly against Jimin’s, not really a kiss, a touch, unsure, a soft gasp escaping the younger, a groan leaving the elder. Jimin’s arms wrapped around Yoongi’s neck and pulled the elder in, melting into the kiss that Yoongi deepened. It was sweet and chaste, lips moving together, fitting together as if made for each other and each other alone. Yoongi could taste the hot chocolate on the younger’s lips and it made it even sweeter, even more lovely.

“Fuck..” Yoongi was the first to pull away, dizzy with the lack of oxygen, not even trying to hide the smile that blossomed on his face and grew even more when Jimin let out an annoyed whine and pulled the elder back in for another sweet tasting kiss. “Minnie..” Yoongi started to speak, but was cut off, Jimin’s hands in his hair and pulling him back in. The elder groaned, giving in easily, his hands moving from Jimin’s waist to his hips and pushing him harder against the wall, brain fuzzy and fire in his veins at the eagerness from the younger. Jimin moaned and Yoongi cursed internally, his grip tightening on the younger’s hips. He forced himself from Jimin’s lips and ducked his head to leave a trail of open-mouthed kisses down the younger’s throat. “Oh my fucking- Oh god Yoongi-” Jimin whimpered and melted under the attention, glad for the support of the wall behind him as his head fell back to give the elder more room, which he gladly took advantage of. “Fuck Jimin-ah.. You taste so fucking good-” Yoongi mumbled against the younger’s neck, drawing out soft moans as he continued to kiss the soft flesh. He lifted his lips back to Jimin’s, swallowing the pretty sounds and moaning into the younger’s mouth, forcing his tongue between his parted lips, licking gently and groaning when Jimin sucked on his tongue, fingers tangling into the elder’s hair.

Yoongi finally pulled away again, ignoring the tightness in his pants and putting his focus on the flushed cheeks and kiss swollen lips of his best friend. “I’d apologise for attacking you like that but truthfully I’ve been dying to kiss you for years..” Yoongi said softly, an almost apologetic look on his face. “Don’t apologise hyung. I wanted it too.” Jimin replied. The elder gave an awkward laugh and scratched the back of his neck. “Right. So..it’s.. uh.. It’s getting pretty late..” Jimin gave a teasing smile and pushed off from the wall to get into the elder’s space again. “You’re adorable when you’re flustered hyung.”

“I’m not flustered.” Yoongi replied to which Jimin snorted at and raised a brow at the obvious tent in the elder’s pants. “Sure you aren’t.” The elder huffed, ignoring the look and turning his attention to the dirty dishes on the coffee table in an attempt to hide the redness on his cheeks. Jimin helped him carry the dishes to the kitchen and washed them while Yoongi dried them. The elder sat the last cup down and turned to the younger. “Hey Min?”

“Hm?”

He didn’t really want to beat around the bush so he came out with it, pulling a startled look from the younger as he did. “What does this mean for us?” Jimin blinked at him and bit his lip, “Uh,. I was kinda hoping it meant we were dating now..” Yoongi nodded, “I want that too. It’s just you kinda moved on and dated other people so-” he trailed off when the younger grabbed his face and pulled him in for a kiss. “I only dated other people because I thought you weren’t interested in me like that hyung. I absolutely prefer you over anyone and would much rather have you. If you’ll have me, that is.” The elder blinked and smiled gently, leaning in for a quick peck on the lips. “Of course I want you. So I guess officially I have to ask then.” Jimin giggled and pulled away with a wide smile as he waited for the elder to speak. “Go on then.” Yoongi laughed, “Jimin-ah. Will you be my boyfriend?”

“On one condition.” Yoongi blinked, not expecting the answer and nodded, “Anything.”

“I get to be the boyfriend.” The elder deadpanned and Jimin dissolved into a fit of laughter, falling into Yoongi’s chest and causing him to catch the younger before he lost his balance. “It really wasn’t that funny Min.” Yoongi huffed, though he was definitely amused by Jimin’s reaction. “Besides, we both know I’ll be the boyfriend in this dynamic.” Jimin laughed harder and Yoongi couldn’t help be completely smitten for the giggling mess of his boyfriend. “Okay, no more sugar for you. Time for bed.”

Jimin finally composed himself and Yoongi dragged him along and into the bathroom where they went through their nightly routine of brushing their teeth and washing their faces, only this time was made longer with both of them interrupting to steal kisses and catch the other staring with a silly smile on his lips. Yoongi finishes first and makes sure both of their phones are plugged in and then once again climbs into the bed and ensures there is enough room for the younger. The younger scurries into the room joins the elder under the blankets, glueing himself to his side and kissing him eagerly which causes the elder to laugh and return the kiss. “It’s bedtime Jimin-ah.” Jimin pouted and tried to go in for another kiss which the elder deflected. “Baby.. it’s nearly 3 am.” The pet name seemed to satisfy the younger because he huffed and took the hint, dropping his weight onto Yoongi’s chest and relaxing into the elder’s arms. “Fine. Have it your way then, scrooge.” Yoongi snorted and pressed his lips to the top of Jimin’s head, “I’m sorry baby. Forgive me?” Jimin rolled his eyes and then sat up slightly to hover over the elder. “Tell me you love me and I’ll think about it.” Yoongi raised a brow and easily complied, staring directly into the younger’s eyes as he spoke. “I love you Jimin-ah.” Jimin’s face broke into a wide smile, one of Yoongi’s favourites that caused the younger’s eyes to disappear. “Okay fine, I forgive you.” he paused, looking back into the elder’s eyes, “I love you Yoongi-hyung.”
