Chucky's pov
He laughed maniacally, his other selves joining him.
Fuck, he was feeling good! The real victory was near and he would still get to make a massacre like the old times.
Stabbing, choking, maiming!
So many options that Chucky couldn't believe he would be able to take all of them at once. Or at least, the other Chuckys would. He would stick with the old, good stabbing to death.
It was the perfect amount of bloody and messy with a nice touch of the screams of agony from his victims until they looked like a sieve.
Damn, he missed this. The adrenaline of a great bloodbath, not just a few assholes in his ways.
It truly couldn't get any better than that.
Or could it?
No! It couldn't.
That was already perfect. If he got too greedy, he could miss his chance and Chucky wasn't in the fucking mood to have one more of his plans failing again.
He already had Tiff back, and this time, he actually hoped they wouldn't kill each other before they built their empire. It was getting really annoying, and their children weren't even there to bother him as he was kind of missing.
Shit, he was becoming a pussy. He had to go back to being a dick before he grew soft like a little bitch.
Chucky knew what he had to do! He had to kill Jake fucking Wheeler already. Make him watch as he ripped that bitch Lexy apart in front of him and cut his shitty little boyfriend's guts out of his body until he cried out.
Then, he would stab Jake so hard that no one would be able to recognize his body.
Chucky laughed darkly. Yeah, it would be a fucking blast.
No one would stop him. Not even those little shits of Andy and Kyle he should have ended years ago.
He would win this time. With his dolls, Tiff, Nica's body and… well, the Wheeler boy he didn't want but that was what he had gotten.
Fuck Jake and his weak ass! Chucky had done such a good job with him. He had so much potential. The anger, the darkness.
Oh, it would have been delicious. The kid could have been a great killer if he wasn't a damn pussy.
But he ruined everything when he dared to betray and kill him more times than Tiff and his own children ever did! Who did he think he was?
Jake was nothing. Chucky had made him something. And he would make it hurt for letting him down after he invested so much in him.
That thought made Chucky stop laughing and scowl, immediately causing the other Chuckys to stop too and face him with confused faces.
"What is it, sweetface? What is in your mind?" Tiff asked suggestively.
Chucky turned, looking at her curious smile. Great, now she thought she could get into his business.
But it wasn’t like he had something to lie about.
"Nothing. Just thinking about that pussy of Jake. How we're going to make him pay." Chucky smirked, glancing at Devon, who was watching them with a scared expression.
He would better be scared. It was because of him that Jake had weakened, and if it wasn't for his usefulness to hurt Jake, Chucky would have already cut his skin off his body.
"Can we gut him and play jump rope with his intestines? I have always wanted to try that!" One of the Chuckys said excitedly with a smirk.
Well, he could have not, but Chucky did. Strangely, he loved it but just no idea of who to do that with?
What was his damn problem?
The one next to him rolled his eyes, "You're so boring. Jump rope?! We can do better than that, right, guys?" He asked the others, opening his arms.
Oh great. Now everyone wanted to opine over the murder he would commit. It didn't matter if they were him, he was getting soft if he let them think they ordered any shit around there.
The others cheered, one in the back shouting, "We can rip his heart off with him still alive! Make him watch it."
That wasn’t even possible… Well, it was a great idea. He could make it happen.
But he was losing focus right now. He was gonna kill Jake. Not them! He had the right to choose.
"Nah, his spinal cord would be much better. He could do it slowly and then stick it down his throat. Slowly," Another in the front chuckled darkly, causing all of them to nod and do the same.
"Yeah. It will be fun," Junior giggled awkwardly but with a grin, looking between him and Tiff and then asking excitedly, "Can I be the one to kill him?"
Fuck, that was enough.
If Chucky was being logical, he would appreciate the kid's enthusiasm for killing a member of his family, but there was just a problem.
Thinking was for losers. And Jake Wheeler was his.
He got to him first, he started this when he ended his shitty father, and he would finish the kid that he had chosen.
It was time for all of them to know that.
"Shut the fuck up, dickhead!" Chucky was jumping on the little table quicker than Junior could follow with his eyes, taking a knife and pointing its point to his throat, "I'll fucking kill Jake Wheeler, no one else! And certainly not you."
"I'm- I'm sorry," The kid gasped and froze with his arms and his head raised, looking at him with fear shining in his eyes.
That was better.
Junior had to know his place in this family and if he didn't… well, his use wouldn't be much for too long.
"Oh no, sweetface, c'mon, there's no need for it. Junior didn’t mean it badly. He just didn't want to leave unfinished business with his family, after all, Jake is his cousin." Tiff giggled, raising an eyebrow, "Unless… you want the same?"
What the fuck did she mean with that?
"I don't know what you're fucking talking about." Chucky snarled, pointing his knife to her now and observing Junior get less tense but look at the knife and her in panic.
Oh, so the kid was worried for his new mommy? Huh, he had no idea what Tiff was capable of doing with him at the first moment she disobeyed him.
"Oh, this is getting interesting!" His self in Nica's body cheered excitedly, smiling maniacally, "Go on, Tiff, tell him what you're talking about. I'm wanting a round two to stick that knife in your chest."
"Go get some dicks to stick up your ass, Chucky," Tiff scoffed, giving him a deadly look and causing Junior snort although he wasn't relaxed yet.
Now that was just fucking rude. He was sure he got more pussies than dicks.
His other self growled, baring his teeth and biting the air in a provocation, but before him and Tiff could attack each other like animals, Chucky rolled his eyes and shouted impatiently, gesturing with his knife, "Just spit it out already, Tiff."
That seemed to cause an effect because then Tiff looked at him and shrugged, "No need to stress yourself, baby. I just meant that you are very possessive with the Wheeler boy that isn't here with us."
Damn, okay, that woman knew him well. That was he loved her and thought about killing her at least once a day.
Now he was relying more on the loving side.
"Yeah, but what about it? I'm a possessive bastard, we had many discussions with very sharp objects over that." Chucky sneered, reminding the good old times him and Tiff tried to rip each other apart and fuck right after.
Oh, he fucking missed them. He was getting too old for that shit.
"I know, but I have seen that look in your eyes before, Chucky, you don't have to lie." Tiff chuckled, grabbing him under his arms and putting him on her lap in the way he liked.
He wasn't lying. But he definitely missed that too.
Chucky lost his focus a bit as he stared at her boobs, lowering his knife but getting back to it when she asked, "Would you like to have something from Jake, sweetface? You know you can tell me, and we will get it together for you."
"Okay, this is getting weird. What the fuck could you possibly want from Jake?! He is a loser! You can't-" Junior started and got up angrily, but interrupted himself when Chucky faced him with a grimace.
His self in Nica watched with enjoyment.
"If I have to tell you to shut the fuck up again, kid, I swear for all the serial killers out there that I will cut your throat." Chucky threatened through clenched teeth, ordering, "Now sit the fuck down."
The kid shrunk and swallowed, but sat down with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face, averting his eyes.
Good boy. Chucky liked his kids like that.
"Good one, pal." NicaChucky scoffed, raising his eyebrows and opening his arms, resting them on the sofa, "But I'm not doing shit with you and Tiff before knowing what is up with the other annoying Wheeler kid. We don't need him for nothing but a good, old closure."
He was right.
Jake was no different from Andy, a pain in his ass that if he didn't eliminate already, it would come back to mess up his plans.
But still… he was different. This was different. Chucky was tired of not having what he wanted. It was always like that, and no matter how many times he came back, it never went exactly as he had planned.
He was sick of that shit.
Chucky scowled, holding the handle of the knife tightly when he jumped off Tiff's lap - who let out a cry of surprise - and stood on the table again.
"Well, there was a reason why I had chosen that wheeler boy, and not this one." Chucky pointed the knife at Junior, who for his pleasure, had a hurt look in his eyes, "But his weak ass ended up running everything. Now I have to kill him because of it. So again, anyone gets what they want, but me!"
Chucky threw his hands up in anger, yeeting his knife up and causing it to get stuck on the ceiling.
Fuck, that was a good knife.
"Don't you think you're exaggerating, dude? If we want a dramatic bitch, Tiff is right there, you don't have to act like one." NicaChucky said, annoyed, and rolled his eyes.
Tiff smiled ironically, "Said the drama queen who was screaming of pleasure for the whole motel the first time he was fucked by a man. So noisy, Chucky."
Okay, limits! Fucking limits!
"You're going to scream when I-" NicaChucky started furiously before Chucky interrupted him. "Enough!"
He breathed deeply to calm himself down, snarling, "What I fucking mean is that this is about me. Me! I want to have what I want this time. Is that too much to ask?!" He shouted.
Was it?
To his unsurprise, Tiff had an "aww" face before she smiled slyly. He fucking deserved it. What did she fucking want now?
That wasn't time for sex. Her and his other self could fuck at another time.
"Oh, baby, why didn't you say that before? Of course you can have Jake. You don't have to kill him. It wouldn't be the first time we forced someone to be part of our family, after all. Would it?" Tiff chuckled and looked dreamingly at him.
Well, she was... right. He still could have what he wanted.
Chucky frowned, "No, it wouldn't."
"Exactly. We always had what we wanted, sweetface. Always. We took it, and we never asked for it. Just the way we fucking wanted." She smirked, shaking her head, "It doesn't have to be different now."
They did. Yeah, they fucking did. Jake Wheeler had been his since the moment he bought Chucky.
It didn't have to be different just because like his child, he was a weak pussy. No, Chucky could make anyone a murderer. He could make anyone his.
And honestly, he really liked the kid. Enough to want to keep him whole, at least.
He still wanted to cause him pain though, but he wished to do the same with Tiff and they still were killing duro.
Literally.
He was tired of having to change his plans because others didn't collaborate. He didn't need their collaboration.
He has Charles fucking Lee Ray.
He was Chucky.
"Fine, let's fucking do it. The kid is ours and we will bring him with us." Chucky announced victorious, with a dark giggle, then looking at the other Chuckys and raising an eyebrow, "Whole. And alive, fuckers. You can butcher the others, though. We don't give a fuck about them."
They scowled and looked at each other, whispering around. It lasted a few boring seconds before they nodded and one in the front shrugged, "We like him. We are okay with keeping him in the family."
"Whole." The one next to him raised his hand and pointed out.
"And alive." The one on the other side concluded.
"Then butcher everyone else." One in the back shouted and they all started laughing darkly, Tiff and NicaChucky following.
Yeah, they would.
And Jake… he would finally be his.
Junior’s pov
What…the fuck was going on here?
Even Junior didn’t know the answer to that question.
After everything that’s happened, from killing his dad to now being in a room surrounded by serial killers and his best friend tied down and gagged to a chair, it was still a lot to process.
The only thing he knew is that he did not want Jake to be part of his new family.
Not Jake. Of all people, not fucking Jake. Not that motherfucker that made his life fall apart. Not. Him.
Did Junior hate him? Yeah, he did. No, you don’t.
Jake took everything from him, he took away his girlfriend and best friend, he kept him in the dark when Junior felt desperate enough to reach out.
Maybe they all did it to protect you, because they care.
He was alone, completely and utterly alone, after witnessing his own mother’s death. No one was there for him.
Jake tried to be there but you pushed him away, just like you always push people away when they start to get too close, start seeing the real you.
Junior hated him with every fiber of his being.
You’re a liar and you know it. You know why you truly feel this way.
Okay. Maybe he did. Maybe he hated that Jake could be himself. That he didn’t let himself give into whatever box his father shoved him into. And that caused jealousy to bubble in his stomach and fester into pure rage. Rage that he took out on Jake.
Whatever. It was not like they were ever close to begin with.
Lie. You were inseparable as kids. You played and danced and sang together. You hugged each other and held hands. He was your best friend and you were his. You were like this until you were eight, and Aunt Mary died and daddy dearest began forcing you into cross-country.
It didn’t matter.
Those memories didn’t matter anymore.
Because now he was with Chucky and Tiffany. He was feeling happy with them. But fucking Chucky didn’t want him to kill Jake. And now he wanted him to join the family?
No. This was his family, not Jake’s.
But you are family. He’s your cousin. Jake has no one left.
Junior didn’t care.
Yes, you do! Because if it weren’t for Chucky, you would have no one left. No one but Jake.
He’d rather die than to only have Jake.
Liar, liar, liar. Is that the only thing you’re good at?
Okay, Junior was hating this part of him.
The one he tried to bury years ago, the nice part of him. But for some reason, the voice or conscience or whatever the fuck it was was back with vengeance and he wanted to shut it off completely.
You love Jake. You always have. You never truly hated him. You just pushed him away instead of letting him in. You hurt him to feel better about your situation. Everything was different then. But now you both can finally be happy. You can live your best lives, killing together and finally starting over.
Junior didn’t want that, he didn’t want that at all. This was his new family, his, only his. He was not going to share.
You don’t have a choice. If Chucky wants him to be part of his family, then he will. There’s nothing you can do to stop that.
Not if he killed Jake first.
Chucky would kill you before that.
He’d like to see that three foot asshole try.
You don’t want to kill Jake, you’re just jealous, you’ve always been jealous, that’s your problem. Why can’t you just let go and finally let yourself be happy with Jake and your new family?
SHUT UP! Junior screamed inside of his own head and threw the cookie he had in his hand across the room angrily.
Suddenly, all eyes were on him.
Chucky’s-the doll-, Tiffany’s, the woman Chucky, Devon, hell, even the other seventy something Chucky dolls were staring at him. Junior had to remember to breathe, try to calm down the boiling anger inside of him and try to not seem suspicious. Throwing a whole cookie across the room probably didn’t make it any better, now that he thought about it.
“Fuck, kid, is Tiff’s baking really that bad?” The woman Chucky asked with a laugh, Tiffany throwing a “Fuck you, Chucky!” at him-her?
God, he didn’t know-for his comment.
Junior’s face felt warm, mostly from embarrassment. “No, I-sorry, I thought there was a spider.” He lied, putting his hands on his lap to resist the urge to throw something else.
"You're such a bad liar, kid." Chucky-the-doll sneered, narrowing his eyes with suspicion, "What's really up with you?"
Junior swallowed, asking himself if Chucky could read minds with his voodoo shit. Could he?
Of course not! That was fucking stupid.
Right?
"Leave him alone, Chucky. You have your own anger issues and no one bothers you with that." Tiffany defended him, and Junior had never been so glad to hear her sweet voice.
"You do. All the fucking time." Woman-Chucky? rolled his-her eyes, causing a discussion between the three of them that drove the attention away from him.
Junior sighed in relief, feeling grateful for the distraction. He knew he had to tread lightly, especially around Chucky. He couldn’t let him know that he was going to kill Jake anyway.
But how? How should he do it?
He had a knife now.
He could just stab him.
Multiple times.
Until he was practically unrecognizable.
Yeah, that could work. Or he could choke him to death, watch his face turn purple and blue until there was not a breath left in him. Those were a couple good options that had him feeling good.
But not fully.
There was a sense of uneasiness at the thought of his cousin dead, especially by his own hands.
God, why did Junior need to overthink everything? He wanted him dead! That’s all that mattered!
But why was there a part of him that didn’t want this?
Because you don't truly want that!
Oh, yeah, it was that stupid good part of him. The stupid good part that just wanted them all to be one big happy family that killed daily.
A part that desperately wanted Jake to be part of this.
But as Junior thought about how determined Chucky was to have Jake be in their family, how he wanted to use Jake since the beginning and not him, it caused the anger and jealousy to stew inside of him.
He didn’t want to share, not after having something so amazing.
So Junior will have no choice but to kill Jake.
He just had to make sure that Chucky wouldn’t find it or suspect that he did it.
Just that.
In all honesty, Junior never wanted to hurt Lexy.
He really did care about her, even when she was a bitch. He wasn’t the best either. They both displayed the worst parts of themselves to everyone, even each other. And despite everything, despite breaking up with her, he didn’t want to kill her.
So Junior tried the next best thing.
Get her to join them.
So he lured her inside the theater, until they were both behind the projector screen. Her eyes were worried, scared, fearing for him. As if he was the one in trouble.
It would’ve been sweet, to be honest, had the situation been entirely different.
The fear in her eyes shifted when she finally saw the knife in his hand. She wasn’t afraid for him anymore. She was afraid of him.
“Junior…” Her voice was quiet, cautious almost.
All he did was smile at her. “I was thinking that we should get back together.”
Lexy looked almost surprised, still nervous and fearful, “Really?”
Junior nodded, not letting go of the knife. “All my life…I was afraid. Afraid of everything. Afraid of my father…I was even afraid of you. But now, I’m not afraid anymore. Because of Chucky…he taught me to not be afraid.”
Tears seemed to spring into Lexy’s eyes, as if she had come to a realization about what was happening. About what he did to earn Chucky’s trust, “Junior…you can’t trust him. He’s using you.”
Junior shook his head, refusing to hear it, “No, you’re wrong—”
“Juni, please don’t do this.” She took a step toward him, causing him to raise his knife just slightly, a silent warning, despite her using the nickname that always had his heart racing. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything. But this isn’t you.”
“This is who I am, Lexy. This is who I’ve always been. Chucky just helped me realize that.” Junior said with his head high, still having the knife raised.
He wouldn't back down. Not this time. Never again.
“No, it’s not,” Lexy insisted but this time, she didn’t step forward, “you’re kind. And you’re sweet. You’re loyal. You were so good to me, even though I was such a bitch. You always forgave me, even when I didn’t deserve it. You’re a good person. You’re not a murderer.”
“Yes, I am.” He spoke quickly. “I’m a murderer. I killed my dad. Please…don’t make me kill you too.”
He did it. He was better now. He was who he was supposed to be.
Another step closer to him, another raise of his knife.
“You won’t kill me,” She was trying to reach out to him, trying desperately to bring him back. “Remember, you said that you’ll catch me if I fall. Now, I’ll catch you too.”
Junior’s hand was shaking, every part of him screaming.
Why couldn’t she just listen? Why couldn’t she understand? Why couldn’t she just join them and they can be happy together, to start on a fresh and bloody slate?
Chucky would want him to kill Lexy. To prove that he truly was a man. While he knew he should, he couldn’t do it. The voice was shrieking inside his head, having him stay completely still rather than to put the knife down or rush towards her and end her.
Please don’t make me do this, please don’t make me do this, please don’t, Lexy please, please I love y—
Then he heard a voice from the other end of the theater. A voice angrily calling out for Chucky. He knew that voice like the back of his hand.
Jake.
No, don’t—!
But Junior drowned out that voice and tossed it aside, his eyes hardening as he stared at Lexy. “If you want to live, you will leave. Right now. This is a family matter.”
Lexy’s eyes widened, horrified, realizing what he meant and was about to do. “Wait, Junior, no—!” She was quick to move, grabbing his arm that wasn’t holding the knife just as he started to turn away.
“Lexy, let me go right now—!”
“Junior, you can’t do this, he’s your cousin, please!” She begged and for a moment, she sounded a lot like the Voice inside his head.
He didn’t want to hurt her, he didn’t want to hurt her…but he needed her to stay out of the way and be safe.
“I’m really sorry, Lex.” Junior said before pulling his arm away from her and roughly brought it down on her head.
The impact was hard and it sent her to the ground, unconscious. He winced, not wanting to have to hurt her like this and he almost stopped to make sure she was okay.
But Junior heard Jake’s voice again and was reminded of his mission. So he spun on his heel and rushed toward the other end of the theater, knife tightly in his hand until he and Jake were finally face to face.
No one moved.
For just a brief moment, they stared at each other, eyes wide, until Junior finally smiled. “Found you.”
And with that, he lunged forward with his knife raised above his head.
Jake was quick to move, just barely avoiding the slash of the blade. “Junior, what are you—?!”
He didn’t have time to finish before Junior tried to slash him again, moving angrily and blindly. He was being sloppy but he didn’t care. All he could focus on was trying to kill Jake.
“Why you?” Junior growled, his voice low. “What’s so special about you? Why does Chucky want you?”
“Junior, whatever Chucky’s telling you, it’s not true,” Jake spoke slowly, trying to keep his distance as Junior continued to try and advance to him, “He’s a killer and a liar, this isn’t you—”
“Why does everyone keep fucking saying that?!” Junior screamed in anger and rushed forward, the blade narrowly missing Jake’s shoulder.
"Stop!" A stuffed scream came from Devon and Junior whipped toward him, seeing his best friend's expression contort in anguish and concern.
For Jake. Not for him.
Jake really got to steal everything for him?
With him distracted, Jake shoved him to the floor. He landed hard but then he moved quickly, on his knees and stabbed Jake in the back of his leg before he could run away.
Jake let out a yelp of pain and fell to his knees, Junior quickly getting up and tackling him to the ground. He was on top now, struggling with one hand to keep Jake down and the other gripping his knife tightly.
For a brief moment, this situation was familiar. They were seven and would playfully fight with each other, Junior usually getting the upper hand and would wrestle Jake to the ground. They would be laughing and smiling, having the time of their lives as they tried to tickle one another. He remembered this memory as clear as day.
But this wasn’t like that time. Not anymore. There were no smiles and laughs. This was life or death. And Junior had to win. He was a man and would prove his worth to Chucky.
Don’t do it, don’t do it, you don’t hate him, you love him, he’s the last of your family, don’t do it—
“Shut up!” Junior snarled out loud to the Voice, finally managing to pin his knees against Jake’s arms. “This is it, Jake. It’s been a long road, but this is it. You took everything from me. You’re a fucking curse. And now, I’m gonna take your life. It’ll all be over soon.”
Jake was still struggling, still trying to push and buck him off but couldn’t. “We were trying to protect you! We didn’t want you to be part of this, please, Junior, you have to see that he’s just using you!”
Devon nodded desperately from where he was all tied up, as if to give support to Jake’s statement, moving the chair a bit from the ground.
It only angered him.
Junior clenched his teeth and pressed the cold blade to his cousin’s cheek, some of the blood that was already on there now getting smeared on his face. “It doesn’t matter. I have nothing left. My dad is dead. My mom is dead,” his voice cracked slightly as he thought about his mother before focusing on his rage, “But now I have Chucky. I have him and Tiffany. And I won’t let you take this from me!”
He leaned back slightly, bringing the knife down to Jake’s throat, pressing it slightly. “See you in hell, Jake.”
But just before he could make the cut and finally secure his spot as the last living Wheeler, a new voice spoke up: “The fuck do you think you’re doing, kid?”
Fuck.
No, no, no.
Junior froze, eyes wide as he stared at the doll in front of him. “You wanted Jake. I-I got him for you. Whole and alive. Just like you wanted.” He said, hoping to god that he sounded convincing enough.
"Really, kid? Because it seemed like you were about to fucking murder the same kid I told you not to." Chucky raised an eyebrow with a sinister smile, which looked so creepy in his doll self.
The knife he grabbed from his pocket completed the image.
Junior wanted to argue. To lie again and insist that Jake was fighting back too much and he had to threaten him with a knife. But the cold and maniac look in Chucky’s blue eyes said otherwise. He couldn’t lie or excuse him out of this.
He was silent, the only sounds audible were Jake’s heavy breathing under him, none of them moving. Finally, he spoke. “He’s weak. He won’t be anything you want him to be. You don’t need him!” Junior said sternly, his grip on his knife still tight and still against Jake’s throat.
But when Chucky laughed, cold ran through his veins.
"I don't fucking need anyone, kid. I want them! And I have them." Chucky snarled, gesturing angrily with his little arms.
It should be ridiculous, and it was, but at the same time it still made Junior feel like he had to explain it even more.
He needed Chucky to understand.
"But you have me. I killed my dad. I will kill for you, as you want. We can be a family." Junior said with a hesitant smile.
They were a family. Chucky couldn't choose Jake over him.
He was better.
Junior fought and killed to have this.
He deserved that.
"Wake the fuck up, kid! How pathetic can you be?" Chucky sneered, pointing his knife off at him, "You're nothing to me. The only reason I kept you was because you were useful and Tiff liked you. But you're no fucking part of this family. You're just the stray dog I found. A mere replacement for Jake."
No!
No, no, no, no.
Junior fought for his place in that family. He killed his fucking dad when Jake couldn't even kill Lexy, who had been a bitch to him.
He did the job. He was perfect this time.
Why did Jake still get it all? Why did he never stop taking everything from him? Why did he always win?
Junior felt angry tears rolling down his face.
"Awww. Are you going to cry like the little bitch you are?" Chucky questioned mockingly, laughing and approaching them, "But first, get the fuck off the other Wheeler boy, kid. I don't want your dirty blood on him when I kill you."
No.
Junior clenched his teeth, scowling.
"Junior. I told you so. He was just using you like he did to me. But we can take him down together. We can make him regret it." Jake spoke softly but firmly, trying to convince him.
Together? It was too late for together for them.
It isn't, you love him, you don't have to do that, it can be like before-
Enough! Jake had ruined his life. He was responsible for all of that. For Junior losing his new family.
He had to pay.
And if Chucky didn’t want him in his family, Junior wouldn't let him have what we wanted either. He wouldn’t let Jake get anything else from him.
He would end that right the fuck now.
"It's too late, Jake. Too fucking late." Junior giggled maniacally before he quickly and suddenly removed the knife blade from Jake’s throat and exchanged it for his hand, holding it firmly and holding the point of the knife over Jake’s heart.
"No!" Chucky and a still gagged Devon screamed at the same time, both in despair but the last one in anger too.
Good. They would watch what he would do to Jake.
He didn't care what happened to him after but Jake finally died tonight.
"Oh, is that all for Jake? He really is special, isn't him?" Junior scoffed, then shouting angrily, "But he isn't! He is just a fucking loser."
He is more than that and you know it. He is your cousin, he is your family.
No, he wasn't. He never was.
"Junior, stop-" Jake started but was interrupted by Junior holding his throat tighter, enough for him to breathe with difficulty and struggle against him but be too weak to fight.
He looked good like that. Below him. As the fucking loser he was.
That was where Jake has always belonged. Beneath him. Not able to hurt him as he had been doing.
"How does it feel? To have someone take what you need from you?" Junior questioned bitterly with a mocking chuckle, but he got serious when he saw Chucky sneaking on him from the corner of his eyes.
Little shit.
He immediately pressed the end of the knife against Jake’s skin and raised his head, looking Chucky in the eyes and tilting his head, "If I were you, I would back off, Chucky. I have the Wheeler boy's life you want in my hands."
He had the power now. No one would manipulate or control him.
That was Junior’s moment.
"The hell you have, kid, we both know you won't kill him right now. Let Jake go and we can solve this like men. Whoever wins, get him." Chucky argued, opening his arms.
Junior burst in laughter, ignoring the look of panic in Devon and Jake’s eyes.
Did Chucky really think he would fall for that? He wasn’t like him. He didn’t need his ego fucking things up.
He wouldn't give up control of the situation like an idiot.
"I'm not stupid, Chucky. You don't think I can do this? You think I'm a pussy like him, don't you?" Junior looked between Jake and Chucky, smirking as he slowly circulated the end of the knife on Jake’s skin, not taking any blood from it but leaving marks, "But it's just a few inches and I cut it through his heart. It won't be that hard. Even a kid could do it."
The voice in his head was screaming louder, screaming at him to put the knife down. To put it down, help Jake back up, and run the fuck away from here as fast as they possibly could.
But Junior couldn’t.
He couldn’t. Not after everything.
It was too late.
No, it isn't.
It was far too late for Junior and for Jake. Their relationship could never be repaired.
Yes, it can. There’s still time, there’s still hope, don’t do this!
"You do that, kid, and I will fucking kill you. I will dismember you and make you choke in your own blood as I play with your guts." Chucky shouted furiously, and Junior had never seen him so angry.
That was for Jake, wasn't it? Well, it seemed like he wasn’t the only pathetic one there.
Junior didn’t move. He could do it. Say “fuck you” right to Chucky’s face and stab Jake right in the heart, never breaking eye contact. He should. He absolutely should.
But instead, he tried to bargain one last time.
“He’ll never be what you want him to be,” Junior started, still restricting some of Jake’s air with the hand on his throat, “He won’t kill for you like I have. He’ll be dead weight. He’s nothing.”
He’s not nothing, he’s everything and all you have. He is yours!
Once again, he ignored that voice. He didn’t have time to deal with the literal voice of reason or whatever the fuck it was.
"And what makes you think I gave a shit about that? I can turn anyone into a killer. You didn't even take me more than a few hours." Chucky scoffed, smiling slyly, "I don't want you, kid. No one does. Get over it and man the fuck up."
For a moment, it felt like Junior was the one to be stabbed in the heart. Like Chucky was holding the knife and not him. He wanted to cry again, felt the tears of anger and pain burning in his eyes, but he couldn’t.
He couldn’t give Chucky that satisfaction.
Why was he even surprised? No one wanted Junior. No one cared about him. They only cared about what he could do. Running, dating, killing. They didn’t care about him.
So why did he try so hard? Why did he try so hard all these years?
Maybe it was that feeling to make someone proud. To fit in and be whatever they wanted him to be. But it was never enough.
It would never be enough.
After a long moment, Junior’s hand slowly loosened around Jake’s throat, allowing his cousin to finally breathe properly. It took longer to pull the knife away from his chest but he finally did, his movements robotic.
He didn’t move away from Jake and if anyone saw his face, they would think that Junior was emotionless.
Maybe he was emotionless.
He just felt…numb. He was tired and it felt like he was falling into that catatonic state, the one he almost fell in after killing his father.
Junior was just completely…done.
"Junior…" Devon's stuffed voice coming from his side caused him to numbly look at his best friend, seeing his eyes full of tears but a relieved and sad expression on his face.
Before he could even apologize to him, Junior suddenly felt a weight hit his torso, throwing him off Jake and on his back on the ground. He grunted with the impact, but when he saw what, or better, who exactly had pushed him, he just leaned back and breathed heavily.
It was Chucky. The bastard was standing on his belly, smiling creepily.
Junior could try to fight him and stop his death, but he was too tired for it. It took everything he had to not be sobbing right now and he just wanted it to end already.
"It's the end of the line, kid. I can't say it was a pleasure to meet you, but you did the job for a while. I have been looking forward to this shit." Chucky laughed darkly and raised the knife, the blade seeming to shine.
So this was it?
This was how he was going to die?
He figured it could be worse. If Chucky just stabbed him now, he’ll die in a couple minutes. That’ll be okay. It wouldn’t be too painful.
At least everything would be over. No more pressure, no more pain, no more nightmares, no more hiding himself and crying himself to sleep at night because he was too scared to stand up to his father.
And he could finally see his mom again.
He really missed her. He hoped she would be happy to see him and she wouldn’t feel lonely if he was there with her.
They could be together forever now. If he didn't go to hell as he very likely would if it existed.
A single tear left the corner of Junior’s eye, falling down the side of his face. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. The apology wasn’t for Chucky, not at all.
But for Lexy. For Devon. For Jake. All of the people he failed.
He’ll never have a girlfriend again to hold and kiss.
He’ll never have a best friend who would ramble about true crime to him all the time.
And he’ll never have a cousin to make amends and start over with, so they can finally be friends.
So Junior closed his eyes, ready for the impact as the end of the knife came towards him.
“Wait!” Jake suddenly screamed out, causing Junior’s eyes to snap open and Chucky’s knife stopped just half an inch away from his chest.
Jake was standing up now, hands out and his eyes wide with…Junior couldn’t quite tell.
Fear, maybe? Fear of what? Chucky? Couldn’t possibly be for him. Why would Jake care about him?
"What the fuck is it, Jake? I don't know if you realized, but I'm in the middle of something here." Chucky asked, annoyed, pointing to him and Junior and then to Jake, "I will deal with it soon, just wait for your turn."
“I-I’ll go with you,” Jake started as he took a step forward, limping from the cut Junior made on his leg, “I’ll go with you and-and I’ll do whatever you want me to do. Just…please don’t hurt Junior. Don’t kill him.”
Was Junior hallucinating? He had to be, there was absolutely no way that Jake was actually trying to…save his life? What the fuck?
“What the fuck are you doing?” Even Junior had to ask Jake, eyes wide with shock and confusion.
"Saving your life, you idiot." Jake said teary, a sympathetic and exasperated little smile on his face.
Junior stared back at Jake as if his cousin just grew another head. “Fuck…you’re more stupid than I thought you were.”
Jake had to be stupid. There was no other logical explanation. Did Junior choke him a little too much and Jake lost enough air to go to his brain that he forgot what just happened not even five minutes ago? Let alone the last few years of their “relationship”?
Yeah, that could’ve happened. It made sense. Why else would Jake be trying to fucking bargain with the literal devil to try and save his life.
"Aww that's all very ridiculously sweet of you boys." Chucky mocked, looking at Jake as he passed the end of the blade over Junior’s chest playfully, "But how do I know you truly will do the shit you said, Jake? You're a very stubborn and sneaky boy that gave me a lot of problems."
“I’ve never lied to you,” Jake argued firmly, “I have been stubborn and sneaky, but I won’t do it now. I’ll do whatever you want me to do. I’ll…I’ll kill whoever you want me to. I won't put up a fight. I won’t ever betray you again. Only if you don’t kill Junior, Devon, and Lexy.”
Devon and Lexy, Junior could understand. Devon was so obviously Jake’s boyfriend and he supposed he and Lexy were friends now.
But him?
Junior?
The one who bullied him because of his own anger and jealousy. Who insulted him for being gay. Who called him a freak because he liked dolls.
Him?
Was he even fucking worth this?
Junior knew the answer. He wasn’t. But why was Jake trying so fucking hard after everything?
Why did he have to be so good and sacrifice himself for him too?
"Tempting offer, kid. Very tempting." Chucky said thoughtfully, and honestly, Junior had no idea if he would accept it or not.
Chucky wanted Jake in his family, but out of everyone Junior knew well that he could have it without his cousin's collaboration. Which meant he could kill him, Devon and Lexy without hesitation.
It didn't bother him that he died, he actually was very fond of the idea, but not Devon and Lexy. They didn’t deserve that.
"Okay, I like that. We have a deal." Chucky's smile grew sharper as he looked between Junior and Jake.
Jake visibly sighed in relief while Junior’s eyes widened in horror as the cousins looked back at each other.
What the fuck had Jake just done?
There was a sliver of Junior that felt relieved. He was going to live. He’d have another day to be alive.
But the rest of him didn’t want this. He was tired, he was exhausted, he didn’t want to keep living and now Jake has taken away his chance to die.
He took away his chance to see his mom again.
Junior wanted to be angry but couldn’t. Not anymore. He didn’t have any more rage left in him.
Not when Jake was going to sacrifice himself and be forced into a psycho serial killer family just for him.
When he would give up on everything for him, Devon and Lexy to live.
He had always been the best of them.
And maybe, just maybe…there was just a tiny seed of hope in his soul, hope that everything could be better between them.
A stupid hope that didn't see how impossible it was.
"Hold him tight there." Chucky said neither towards Junior or Jake, but behind them, where Devon was.
From the corner of Junior’s eye, he could see a familiar woman behind Devon, a shiny blade against his throat.
It was Chucky. The woman version of him. Of course. He wouldn’t be surprised if the entire theater was just surrounded by Chuckys.
Please don’t hurt him, he’s innocent, please leave him alone. Junior thought to himself, hoping and praying that Chucky would follow through on his deal.
Well, his deal to let Lexy and Devon live.
He couldn’t care less about himself. He would embrace death with open arms.
And it seemed like his wish could come true.
Before Junior could realize it, Chucky turned his knife in his hand, holding it by the blade. His eyes widened.
"Nighty-night, kid." Chucky said and hit the handle of the knife on his face, with a strength that a toy shouldn't have.
Junior immediately felt the twinge pain and his face turned to the side with the impact. He heard Jake shouting through the ringing in his ears and saw the blur of his body moving towards him between his narrowed eyes.
He closed them when darkness swallowed him.
