Madrigal without the present? Yes, she is, but that doesn't mean she was any less talented, the fact that she didn't have a power made her work 100× harder to "make up" for her lack of gift, and eventually the family is all noticing.

Chapter 1: your way

Right after Mirabel's gift ceremony, she realized that she would have to try 100× to prove herself, to take care of the village, to make the family proud, she knew it was going to be a long and painful road, but that didn't stop her from trying.
