So Quiet Down

Summary:

“Hello, Sooyoung-ssi. Do you mind if I occupy this seat?” Yoo Sangah gestures at the seat across Han Sooyoung.

Han Sooyoung only stares at the other person, looking for any signs that she's kidding. She can't be serious, right? Before Yoo Sangah could speak another word, Han Sooyoung cuts her off.

“What are 𝘺𝘰𝘶 doing here?”

Notes:

Just your typical SangSoo. Can be read as platonic or not.

Work Text:

The bell rings as students flooded the hallways. Han Sooyoung scampers along. Rather than going for the cafeteria, she heads for the quietest place, the 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺.

Arriving there, Han Sooyoung takes out her things and starts writing. Too focused on what she's doing, the light footsteps approaching goes unnoticed by her.

Only when the other person clears their throat does Han Sooyoung look up. 𝘖𝘩. Her lips automatically twist itself into a frown.

“What are 𝘺𝘰𝘶 doing here?” She speaks in an annoyed tone, hopeful that she gets the point across.

Yoo Sangah pauses before speaking. “Am I not allowed in the library, Sooyoung-ssi?”

Her frown deepens, brows furrowing. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 is what she hates about Yoo Sangah. Of course, she hates a lot about her, including her stupidly pretty face.

“I see. Is little Miss Perfect tired of all the attention she gets? That's why you're here, asking to sit 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦?” Han Sooyoung spoke in a way that grates through Yoo Sangah's ear.

Sangah's eyebrow twitches but her smile not dropping. No, she doesn't 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵 drop. Han Sooyoung finds it amusing. She wants to see Sangah's smile fade, for her facade to drop.

“That's not it. I just wanted to sit in a 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 spot and-”

“And 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴” Han Sooyoung gestures to the seat across from her, “-is the ‘quieter’ spot you mention? Tell me, Yoo Sangah. Are you interested in me?” Han Sooyoung says, a taunting smile finding it's way on her face.

Yoo Sangah's brow twitches again. She clears her throat, fixing her hair. However, before it could cover her ears, Han Sooyoung catches a glimpse of 𝘳𝘦𝘥. Her brows furrow, 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘯 is what Han Sooyoung thinks.

“I didn't know that you we're 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 attention starved that you'd mistake wanting to have a seat means that person is interested in you, Sooyoung-ssi.” Han Sooyoung's smile fades and her jaw drops.

“You could've just said you didn't want me sitting here rather than starting a 𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺 argument.” Yoo Sangah adds.

Han Sooyoung quickly recovers from the shock. “And yet you partook in such a petty argument.”

Yoo Sangah only smiles, annoying Han Sooyoung further.

“Then I'll be taking my leave and find another person to be 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯.” Yoo Sangah fixes her posture before throwing in another sentence. “Might I add, Sooyoung-ssi, you look prettier when you're all quiet.”

“𝘞𝘩𝘢-” Before she could even retort, Yoo Sangah had already walked away.
