Work Text:
"As you so kindly informed me earlier, you saved my life. So, to show my thanks, I'll let you decide our destination! Backwards or forwards?" The Doctor asked Rose Tyler.
Just earlier, Rose had helped The Doctor fight against these living plastic things. She had been able to save his life due to her past in gymnastics.
To thank her for her helpfulness, The Doctor is letting her travel with him in his TARDIS. Who might be alive, if she were to believe the Doctor.
The Doctor wanted to thank her for the saving of his life separately from helping him find the Nestene Consciousness. So he's letting her decide.
The Nestene Consciousness was what had been controlling all the plastic in London. It has been using the London eye as a transmitter. Luckily, they had taken care of it. Earth was safe thanks to them.
At first, Rose had been against going, but once The Doctor asked again, this time telling her able time travel, she had to go. She had felt like she had made the wrong decision the first time he asked, so she was glad she was able to now make the right one.
"Forwards." Rose decided finally after thinking for a while. The Doctor grinned. He started pressing and pulling, and pushing.
"How does one hundred years sound?" He asked, looking up at her.
"One hundred years?!" Rose was startled at the number. That far ahead?
"No. You're right. Too boring. How about ten thousand years? 12005, the New Roman Empire. That sound good?" He grinned.
"You're joking." Rose couldn't believe it. One, he was going to bring her so far into the future, and two, apparently Rome had an empire again in that future.
"Tough crowd. Further, then? I know! This'll impress our unimpressible Rose!" The Doctor flitted around the console.
"Where are we?" Rose asked when The Doctor suddenly stopped. He simply waved her towards the door. He wasn't going to tell her. Not even give her a hint. Rose huffed.
Rose opened the TARDIS door and exited the blue box. She looked around. The shutters opened, she approached the window. It was Earth!
"You apes, you spend your whole lives thinking about dying, like you're gonna get killed by eggs, or beef, or global warming,or asteroids.
But you never take the time to consider, to imagine the impossible. That you survive! This is the year five point five slash apple slash twenty five. Five billion years in your future, and this is the day…" The Doctor pauses, glancing at his watch for effect.
"One moment." Rose watches as the Sun flares and turns a brighter red. "This is the day the Sun expands."
"Welcome to the End of the World!" The Doctor spreads his arms dramatically.
"The End of the World?" Rose repeats. The Doctor nodded, starting to leave. Rose follows him through the corridor. Feeling a little out of her depth.
"Guests? Meaning people, right?" Rose asks when she heard the computer announcing guests' arrival.
"Depends on your definition of people, really." The Doctor shrugs.
"I mean people. What do you mean?" Rose asked curiously.
"Aliens, obviously." The Doctor answered.
"Obviously." Rose mimicked rolling her eyes. "What are they doing aboard this spaceship? What's all this for?!" She hurried after him, after noticing how far ahead he was.
"Spaceship? This isn't a spaceship, Rose. It's an observation deck. The great and the good are gathering here to watch the planet burn." The Doctor explained.
"What for?" Rose furrowed her brow. She couldn't understand why they would watch a planet burn.
"Fun." Was all The Doctor said. Wow, fun? That was just awful. Pricks.
They continue to walk until they find themselves in a room with display cases and a huge window that shows The Earth in front.
"Course, when I said 'the great and the good' I meant the rich." The Doctor gave Rose a meaningful look.
"Now wait a minute! Doesn't the expansion of the Sun take hundreds of years?!" Rose asked The Doctor. She remembers learning something like that in school.
"Millions, really. But the National Trust has the planet as their property. They've been keeping it preserved. See down there? Gravity satellites holding back the Sun." The Doctor pointed. Rose turned to look, noticing the satellites.
"The Earth looks the same as ever. I thought the continents shifted." Rose stated. She never imagines the Earth to look like that in the future.
"Oh, they did. The Trust just shifted them back. That's a Classic Earth. But the money's run out. Nature takes its course." The Doctor sighed.
"How long has it got?" Rose asked him.
"About half an hour. Then it's roasting time!" He presses his hands together like a cartoon villain.
"Are you gonna save the Earth, then?" She turned to him, curiously.
"Nah. It's time for it to go." The Doctor shook his head.
"But what about the people?" Rose frowned. If people were going to die when the Earth did… Rose didn't want to think of it.
"Oh! Don't worry. It's empty. They're all gone. No one left." He put his hands in his pockets. Rose felt relieved.
"Just me, then." Rose sighed. She felt a little lonely at the thought. The last human.
"Who the hell are you?!" The Steward asked them.
"Wow. Thanks." The Doctor said.
"How did you get in? This is a maximum hospitality zone. The guests have disembarked. They're here any second!" The Steward told them.
"Yeah. That's me. I'm a guest. I've even got an invitation. Look, see? I'm the Doctor, this is Rose Tyler. She's my plus one. Is that ok?" The Doctor asked the Steward, showing his invitation.
"Well, my apologies. If you're on board, we'd better start. Enjoy." The Steward left them. Rose looked after him curiously. He was blue.
"How'd you do that?" Rose asked. She wondered how he convinced him they were supposed to be there.
"Do what?" The Doctor gave her an innocent look.
"We weren't invited. How did you convince him we were?" Rose continued, not believing his look of Innocence.
The Doctor pulled out the paper he had previously shown the Steward, "It's slightly psychic. It lets people see whatever I want them to see." He explained, showing it to her.
"Stop asking so many questions. It's annoying." Rose read slowly.
"Oi!" She smacked The Doctor on the arm.
The Doctor gave her a venomous look. She was lucky he wasn't his past self. Or he would kill her for that slight.
Of course, killing her was the last thing he wanted. He liked her. She was nice to be around. She made him feel less lonely.
The Steward started announcing people. He began with Rose Tyler and The Doctor. Rose looked at all the different kinds of guests. She didn't mean to be rude, but she may have been staring.
"The gift of peace. I bring you a cutting of my grandfather." Tree lady spoke, handing them a small twig. Rose took it. She inspected it. Yup, definitely a twig.
"Thank you. Gifts. Gifts. Oh! I give you air from my lungs." The Doctor softly breathed her way.
"How intimate." Tree lady blushed. Or at least, Rose assumed she was.
"There's more where that came from." The Doctor grinned.
"I'll bet." The tree lady gave him a look. Rose turned to The Doctor after she left.
"Were you flirting?!" She asked him. He gave her a look of warning. Telling her to stop while she was ahead.
"You were flirting!" She gasped. The Doctor gave her a noogie as punishment for her claim. Rose giggled, enjoying his look of disdain.
Other guests approached them and gave them gifts. One of them spit at her. She was grossed out. Of course The Doctor snickered at her. Revenge for her slight earlier.
Then came Cassandra. She was flat. Flatty. Flatty flat flatness. She shouldn't be called Cassandra, she should be called Flatsandra. That's what Rose will call her in her head from now on.
Flatsandra brought in a plethora of gifts. But Rose just stared at her. How was someone so flat! She wasn't even human anymore! How could she be!
Rose had had enough. She marches out. Everyone in there is just so unusual! She felt overwhelmed.
She looked out a small window at the Earth, trying to gather her thoughts. She heard someone approaching. It was another blue alien.
"Sorry. Am I allowed to be here?" Rose asked, smiling at the alien.
"You have to give us permission to talk." She said quietly.
"Er, you have permission." Rose frowned. She didn't like that. Permission to talk? That's taking away someone's rights.
"Thank you. And no, you're not in the way. Guests are allowed anywhere." She smiled. Rose felt herself smiling back. She was sweet.
"What's your name?" Rose asked. It felt rude calling her alien in her mind.
"Raffalo." She answered. Raffalo. Nice. She liked that name.
"Raffalo?" Rose repeated, trying it out.
"Yes miss. I won't be long. I've just got to carry out maintenance. There's a tiny glitch in the Face of Boe suite. He's not getting any hot water." Raffalo explained. Smiling at her slightly.
"So you're a plumber?" Rose asked.
"Yes, miss."
"They still have plumbers?" Rose grinned. She took a job as a plumber once. It hadn't been that bad. The kids had been little angels.
"I hope so, else I'm out of a job." Raffalo smiled.
"Where are you from?" Rose inquired.
"Crespallion." Raffalo answered.
"Is that a planet?" Rose asked her.
"Oh no, miss." Raffalo began to explain where she was from but Rose just tried to look like she understood.
"And where are you from, miss?" Raffalo asked.
"Oh! I don't know. A long way away. Just sort of hitched a ride with this stranger. I don't even know anything about him...Anyways, don't let me keep you. Good luck with it." Rose turned to leave. Feeling emotions stirring inside her. She didn't mean to suddenly get so vulnerable.
"Thank you, Miss. And, er, thank you for the permission. Not everyone's that considerate." Raffalo told her. How awful. Poor Raffalo.
Rose gives her a sad smile before leaving. Rose made her way to the room the TARDIS was in. She sat down on the steps.
She sat there quietly, looking at Earth. She was staring at her home. And it was going to burn. Yeah in twenty five minutes. Thanks for that.
Just what she needed. To have a timer tell her repeatedly that her home was gonna die.
She stared at the plant that she had taken with her. She spoke to it. She stopped, she felt so silly! That's what it's come to Rose Tyler, talking to a plant.
"Rose? Are you there?" The Doctor called out to her. He enters the room. He notices her sitting down with a look on her face.
"So? Thoughts? The Doctor sat next to her.
"It's fine. But they're just so alien. You look at them, and they're alien." Rose shook her head, looking down at her shoes.
"That's the point." The Doctor told her softly.
"Doctor, where are you from?" Rose asked him suddenly.
"Around." The Doctor said. Obviously avoiding the question. Fine. She'd ask a different question.
"They all speak English." Rose frowned. Did English stay such a popular language that even aliens knew it?
"Nah. You're just hearing English. The TARDIS translates for you. Before you accuse me of anything, she doesn't read minds or anything. She only reads minds if given permission."
"Permission?" Rose asked. Having almost burst at him in anger at the idea of having her mind messed with.
"Aye, permission. That's important. Going into someone's mind without permission is wrong. The TARDIS wouldn't do that." The Doctor clarified. Trying to make her feel reassured.
"Oh. Thanks. That actually makes me feel better." Rose told him sincerely. She turned to him, watching him. Who was he?
"Who are you, Doctor?" Rose asked. The words slipped out.
"Just a man in a box trying to do some good." The Doctor answered. Shifting. He looked uncomfortable.
"From what planet?" Rose continued.
"Not like it'd matter if I told you." The Doctor huffed.
"What kind of a man are you? Who are you?!" Rose shouted. She just wanted answers! Why won't he give her any!?
"Stop asking questions! It doesn't matter who I am! Or who I was! That's in the past now. I'm no longer the man I used to be!
You always ask so many questions! Ever since the first time we met! Maybe you're right! Maybe half of it is me! Me not being ready to tell you, or anyone!
I've been through so much, and it's hard to even think about most of the time. So just stop asking. Stop. Before I tell you something you wouldn't like to hear." The Doctor shouted. He moved away, standing in front of the window.
Rose felt guilty for making him upset. She didn't mean to. She was just lost. All she had was a stranger that she knew nothing about.
"Alright. As my mate Shareen says, don't argue with the designated driver." Rose said, in a way of an apology. The Doctor gave her a thankful look.
Rose takes out her phone with a sigh. Not like she could get a taxi. Without him, she'd be stuck there.
"Tell you what," The Doctor takes her phone and starts tinkering with it. He hands it back to her. "Now, try calling someone." He urged her.
"Hello?" Rose called her mom Jackie. Her mother answered.
Rose felt close to tears. Hearing her mom's voice made her feel this unimaginable feeling.
Her mom was alright. She could talk to her. She missed her. And she's only been away for a while. She smiled as her mom hung up.
This was just what she needed. She felt a little better now. She wiped her tears away.
"Cool, huh?" He grinned.
"I suppose." Rose grinned. She hugged The Doctor. He patted her back and sides. She let him be. It was The Doctor, after all. The place suddenly shook.
"That's bad." The Doctor frowned, moving away.
"Is it?" Rose asked worriedly.
"That's not supposed to happen." The Doctor and Rose ran to the room all the guests were at. Something was going on.
All the guests were in a frenzy. They were all worried as to what was going on. They were all talking amongst themselves.
"Where's the engine room?" The Doctor asked Jabe.
"I don't know, but the maintenance duct is just behind the guest suite. I could show you and your wife." Jabe answered.
"Wife?!" The Doctor and Rose shouted simultaneously. They turned to each other, grimaced, then looked away.
"I'm not his wife." Rose told her.
"She's not my wife. She's lovely, but no." The Doctor told her shortly after, shaking his head.
"Oi!" Rose frowned at him. She wasn't that bad. He spoke about it as If she was the last person on Earth, no, the universe he'd be with.
"Rose Tyler, I treasure your company, I admire your strength, sometimes you even ask a worthwhile question, but that? No thank you." The Doctor shivered.
"Alright. You two go pollinate and I'll go talk to Flatsandra." Rose waved them off, rolling her eyes.
"Flatsandra? That's what you call her? Fitting." He grinned at her. She nodded graciously at him.
"I'm all yours." The Doctor told Jabe, holding out his arm to her. She took it.
"And I want you home by midnight, mister!" Rose shouted at him sternly.
"Yes, Mom!" The Doctor shouted back to her jokingly.
They part ways. Rose spoke to Flatsandra. Or, tried to. But she was just so full of it. She acted like she was superior to everyone and everything.
Rose stomped away from her shouting, "You're just skin Cassandra. Lipstick and skin. Nice talking."
She was about to leave when she noticed The Face of Boe. Hadn't Raffalo mentioned him? He was the host of this event. At least, that's what The Doctor said.
"Hello. Are you the Face of Boe? I'm Rose Tyler. Nice to meet you." She greeted him with a smile.
"Rose Tyler. Indeed, I am the Face of Boe. Thank you for coming to speak to me." He replied kindly.
"Why did you host the event?" She asked him curiously.
"Earth. It's a wonderful planet. It's dear to many. I simply wished to honor it by seeing its final moments." He told her.
"Yeah. That's my home. It's just. It's hard to accept it. That it's going to die. It always seemed so impossible." She stared at the Earth, feeling anguish.
"My dear, all things end. We must remember to remember it's beginning and the in-between rather than the end itself. That is the best way to honor it." He advised her.
She nodded, "Thank you. I'm glad we had this talk. I feel way better now." She smiled.
She left the room, put her hands in her pocket. She paused, feeling something inside. What was it? Before she could figure it out, she was knocked out.
Rose wakes up in a room that was warm. Way too warm. Something was wrong. She banged on the door.
"Let me out! Let me out!" She cried desperately.
"Rose?" She heard The Doctor's voice. She instantly felt relieved.
"Doctor! I'm trapped!" Rose shouted.
"Rose! Your pocket! Look in your pocket!" He shouted. Rose did, pulling out a sonic screwdriver.
"Your screwdriver!" She shouted in surprise.
"Yes, yes. Man with a plan, me. Figured you would get in trouble. There's a panel in the room. Open it!" The Doctor shouted.
Rose did as she was told. The Doctor told her step by step what to do. The door opened. She ran over to him and hugged him.
She was alright! He hugged her, having been worried. She hugged back. She was glad The Doctor had saved her.
"When did you give me your screwdriver?" Rose asked.
"Remember when we were hugging?" He grinned.
"No. Really? Doctor!" Rose was surprised he had done it that far back. Then again, she should have suspected.
Just as she was about to say something, the place once again shook. They turned to each other, then ran.
The Doctor and Rose entered the room with all the guests as they were talking amongst themselves.
"Easy way of finding out. Someone brought their little pet on board. Let's send him back to his master." The Doctor stated. Rose stood behind him with her arms crossed.
The little spider machine went to the Repeated Meme. But the Doctor revealed them to not be real. And the spider went to Flatsandra.
"I bet she's the reason I ended up in that room." Rose told The Doctor. He nodded, makes sense.
From what Rose told him, Flatsandra had been annoyed at her. The talk the two of them had must have annoyed her enough to try to kill her.
Flatsandra got her guys to point their moisturizer at The Doctor.
"Ooh! Scary! What are you gonna do, moisturize me?" He mocked. Of course he felt more afraid after she told him it was acid. But not by much.
Rose scowled when Flatsandra confessed to only doing this for money. That she wanted money for her surgeries. She watched her teleport away.
"At least she's not completely stupid. Rule number one of an evil plan, always have a way of escape." The Doctor said. Rose rolled her eyes at him, not the time Doctor.
The Doctor, Rose, and Jabe went to save the observation deck. They ran to the engine room.
"Seriously?!" Rose shouted when she noticed where the switch was. How were they gonna get there?!
Jabe presses the switch closeby. The Doctor argues with her. He tells her she'll die. She tells him to stop wasting time then. Rose feels admiration for her. She was willing to risk her life to save others.
The Doctor ran, but Rose stayed. The Doctor rushed past the fans. As the Doctor raises the shields Rose grabs Jabe and drags her away.
"You saved my life." Jabe whispered in awe after a while.
"That's what I do. Save lives." Rose smiled at her. She saved The Doctor and now her. She's on a saving spree. Saving people left and right.
"Jabe! You're alright!" The Doctor grinned.
"All thanks to Rose. I can see why you have her with you." Jabe complimented.
"Yeah. She's the best." The Doctor smiled at her with admiration.
They go back with a tired weak Jabe in between them. They leave her with her fellow trees. They thank the two of them.
"Now what?" Rose asked him.
"Flatsandra escaped by teleportation. Teleportation through five thousand degrees needs a feed. The feed is obviously nearby." The Doctor smashes the ostrich egg, showing Rose the feed.
"And?" Rose asked him. Curious to see what he'll do next.
"We just need to reverse the teleportation feed." The Doctor told her.
"How could we do that?" Rose frowned.
"Didn't I tell you? I'm a genius." The Doctor winks at her before reversing the feed, bringing Flatsandra back.
"Thought you could get away?" The Doctor grinned at her.
"Tenacious, aren't you?" Flatsandra scowled.
"Someone dear to me told me I didn't know how to quit. And he was right." The Doctor smirked.
"Well, there's nothing you can do anyways. Take me to court then, Doctor, watch me smile and cry and flutter." Flatsandra said, not worried.
"And creak." The Doctor snickered.
"What?" Flatsandra finally looking worried.
"Creak. You're creaking." He informed her.
"What! Ah! I'm dying out! Moisturize me! Moisturize me!" She begged. Rose watches her as she screams pathetically.
She looked pitiful. Does she really deserve to die this way? Rose turned to The Doctor who watched Flatsandra scream with barely any interest.
"Help her." Rose begged. The Doctor turned to her. He looked different. No longer the funny man with jokes. The one who smiled. He looked serious.
"Everything has its time and everything dies." Was all The Doctor said. Flatsandra exploded. Rose stated in shock.
Later, Rose and The Doctor stared at the now destroyed Earth, alone. Jabe had thanked them one last time before leaving.
Rose had been dismayed when she learned of Raffalo's death. She had liked her. If only.. no. Thinking like that won't help.
"The end of Earth. It's all gone. All of it. We were too busy saving ourselves. No one saw it go. All those years, all that history, And no one was even looking." Rose stared at the now gone earth, numbly.
The Doctor grabbed her hand, "Come with me." He told her.
They stepped into the TARDIS, and before she knew it, she was being dragged out again.
She looks at all the people around her, as they live their lives. They're all so alive. It's hard to even consider that one day Earth will be gone.
"You'll think it'll last forever, people, cars, and concrete, but it won't. One day it's gone. Even the sky. My planet's gone. It's dead. It burned like the Earth. It's just rocks and dust before it's time." The Doctor had a melancholy look on his face.
"What happened?" Rose asked, quietly.
"There was a time war and we lost." He looks so vulnerable.
"A war? With who? What about your people?" She asked him.
"I'm a Time Lord. I'm the last of the Time Lords. They're all gone. I'm the only survivor. I'm left traveling on my own 'cos there's no one else." The Doctor said.
"You've got me." Rose said, trying to cheer him up.
"Yeah. I do." He smiled a weak smile.
"Is that why you brought me there? To the End of the World. So I could understand? So you could have someone who knows what it's like?" Rose asked him.
The Doctor laughed, "You're too smart for your own good."
"I am." Rose agreed.
"Ugh. And the questions. So annoying. Always with the questions. You never seem to run out. Are you stealing everyone else's questions?
It's annoying, that's what it is. Suppose it's better than traveling with an idiot. Too many questions is better than too little." The Doctor sighed.
"Thanks." Rose snorted.
"No problem." The Doctor told her in a sincere tone.
"You've seen how dangerous it is. So, you want to go home?" The Doctor asked. He looked scared. Scared that she'd decide to leave.
"I don't know. I want- oh! Can you smell chips?!" She asked him, feeling hungry.
"Yeah." The Doctor said, confused by the sudden change of topic.
"I want chips." Rose groaned in hunger.
"Me too." The Doctor admitted, feeling famished.
"Right then, before you get me back in that box, chips it is. And you're paying." She told him.
"Sorry, Dear. No money." The Doctor pulled out his pockets for effect.
"Fat lot of good you are. Come on then, tightwad. Chips are on me." Rose grabbed The Doctor and dragged him to where the smell of chips was coming from.
The Doctor let her drag him along, letting himself think about what had happened on the observation deck.
When he had left Rose behind, it had been just him and Jabe.
They had been looking around and talking. They had found out that if something were to happen in the observation deck, they were all screwed.
He had asked her why she had come to the observation deck in the first place. Her answer had been respect for the Earth. He had doubted that had been her true reason.
Somehow that had started talking about ancestry. About how her family came from Earth's rainforests.
Then she asked about his ancestry. He had been crouched down, looking at a panel.
She tells him that she knows what he is. That she knows that he was a Time Lord. Then she apologized.
He had let himself feel grief at that moment. She put a hand on his shoulder to make him feel better. Something made him put his hand over hers.
He had shed a single tear, then opened the door. He got up. He didn't have time to feel depressed.
Of course, they had learned of the Stewards death, then he had rescued Rose. Then they had saved whoever had been left.
He was extremely thankful for Rose. She had saved Jane's life. He didn't want to think how much it would have hurt him if she had died.
Rose Tyler. She was an amazing ape. Yes, she asked too many questions, but she was amazing.
He was glad she was traveling with him. She really was what he had needed.
"Doctor! Doctor! Are you listening to me?" Rose called, snapping him out of his thoughts.
He paused, chip close to his mouth. He raised a brow at her questioningly. What did she want?
"Yes Rose?" He asked her.
"I'm tired. Inside of the box, do you have somewhere I could sleep?" She asked him, with a hopeful look in her eyes.
"Of course I do. The TARDIS has all kinds of rooms. She'd obviously had a bedroom." The Doctor snorted, rolling his eyes.
"Cool. Maybe we should get something to drink as well." Rose hummed in a thoughtful way.
"I shall allow you to choose any flavor for me since you are the one graciously paying." The Doctor sighed.
Rose grinned, an idea forming. The Doctor feared for his life. He slumped in his chair, accepting his dire fate.
Rose got up to get them drinks. He smiled after her. What an interesting human. He had chosen well.
"Here you go!" Rose gave him a mischievous grin. She set the drink in front of him, taking a sip from hers.
The Doctor resigned himself to his fate and took a sip. He paused, then took another. He pulled the drink away, stared at it, then took another sip.
"Do you like it?" Rose asked. She had noticed how much he liked tea, so she got him Boba Tea.
"Yes. Thank you, Rose." He smiled at her warmly. She was a gift.
"Alright. Back to the TARDIS we go." Rose stood up, threw away their garbage, and dragged The Doctor to the TARDIS.
The Doctor closed the door behind him as they entered. Rose flipped down onto one of the seats.
"Doctor. Remember how you said the TARDIS translates? Does it translate everything?" Rose asked.
"Mostly everything. Some languages are too old to be translated." The Doctor explained.
He greeted the TARDIS telepathically. She welcomed him back warmly. She asked about his travels. He let her inside his mind to see for herself.
"She's singing." Rose whispered in awe.
"What?" Koschei asked her in confusion.
"The TARDIS. She's singing." Rose repeated herself. The TARDIS liked Rose alot.
Because of her, Koschei had been feeling a lot better. He wasn't quite so sad and gloomy as had been.
"Right. My room." Rose raised a brow at him.
"Turn to the corridor. The first door you see is yours." The Doctor told her. Rose shrugged, walking towards the corridor.
She opened the door. It looked just like her room at home! She ran back to the console room.
"Did you steal my room?" Rose asked.
The Doctor snorted, then started full out laughing. Rose crossed her arms, feeling a little embarrassed.
"No. I did not steal your room. The TARDIS simply gave you a room you'd feel most at home in." The Doctor chuckled.
"Alright, alright. Sorry for asking such a dumb question." Rose frowned
"Rose, darling. None of your questions have been dumb. Annoying, yes. Too many, also yes. But dumb? No." The Doctor reassured her.
Rose smiled, she waved goodbye and went to her room. She sat on the bed. Rose patted the wall closest to her.
"Thank you, TARDIS for doing this. I don't know if I would be able to sleep in any room that isn't mine.
This makes me feel more at home." Rose smiled. She layed on her bed, took off her shoes, and closed her eyes.
She couldn't wait for the next day. It was going to be fun for sure. She fell asleep.
In the console room Koschei was busying himself with some tinkering. Theta had done so much damage to the TARDIS that he couldn't completely fix it.
He had to add onto the weird additions in the TARDIS Theta had added.
Koschei turned on some music. He told the TARDIS to soundproof Rose's room. He didn't want to wake her up.
Theta hated his music. Said it was too loud. Of course the music Theta listened to was worse. Theta defended his taste strongly. They each disliked the other's taste in music.
"Sweetheart, where should we take her tomorrow? Obviously the past. And since she's human it should be on Earth.
Oh! Halloween! Take me somewhere that's on Halloween. Come on sweetheart. I'm not Theta. I don't kid myself into thinking I'm in charge of our destination.
I don't mind where we go as long as it's in the past, on Halloween. I love Halloween. Theta's always loved Christmas, but I've loved Halloween forever.
Rest?! You want me to rest? I don't need to rest! Fine. Just a power nap. Happy? Good." Koschei laid down using two chairs.
"Wake me up in two hours, sweetheart." Koschei muttered, letting himself rest. The TARDIS hummed in reply.
