Work Text:

Phil and Kristin were, most assuredly, WAY more than 90 years old. The pair and their spectral flock had watched over the server under their care for centuries. Though Phil had made his mistakes, he was determined to do right by his sons now. The Arctic Commune would be a place of sanctuary, and since Kristin had traded her goddesshood for an angelic body like Phil’s so she could share life with her husband there in the material plane.

Philza chirped softly, wrapping his arms around his wife. Sleeping alone had gotten depressing after a while, and every time he chirped the answering coo from Kristin made his heart light up. His wife had helped him get pictures of all his family, and now across from their bed hung photos of Fundy when he was little and Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo sitting on the Bench. There hung a photo of a smiling Ghostbur and nearby, Wilbur cuddled up under a knitted blanket in the L’Manburg flag design. There hung a picture of Tommy holding Shroud and under it, Tubbo and Ranboo holding Michael. There were a few pictures of Technoblade and Wilbur or Technoblade and Ghostbur scattered around, and a picture of Kristin, Phil, Tommy, Shroud, Technoblade, Wilbur, Tubbo, Ranboo, and Michael in the center of them all. It made his eyes misty, seeing his family all together again.

Phil had told Kristin about all he had experienced on the SMP, and she’d accepted everything with her natural grace as she always had.

Ghostbur had moved into the Arctic Commune, choosing to take up residence at Technoblade’s house. The piglin was overjoyed to have his brother back, even if he was spectral. After Phil had extended the offer, Tommy had decided to come to the Commune as well, giving up his goal to kill Dream. Phil and Kristin promised to shelter him, and Technoblade quickly offered as well. They’d reformed their little family and Dream wouldn’t hurt Tommy ever again.

Life was okay again. The SMP moved on, new countries popped up but their family had put down roots not so easily unearthed. They didn’t have to travel or run anymore, and they would never be fractured apart again. Phil vowed to make sure of that. Each day that passed, the crow swore his wife grew more and more beautiful, and their love had never been stronger. They would be together until the end, dove wings and crow wings making the perfect yin and yang.

“The world’s no’ perfect.” Kristin mumbled sleepily, causing her husband to let out a caw in surprise. “But is not tha’ bad.”

Phil chirped, this time laughing. “We got each other, and that’s all we have. You should know I’ll be there for you.” He answered, nuzzling into her soft dove feathers.

“I’ll always be there for you.”
