Lady Henituse

Summary:

Cale Henituse has a wife. A fucking wife. And as far as Kim Rok Soo knows, ‘Isabella Henituse’ did not exist in the ‘Birth of a Hero’. Much less a wife.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Summary:

Isabella knew enough that the man in front of her is not her husband. Not the Cale Henituse she knows.

Chapter Text

Cale Henituse had never treated Isabella like a husband would to a wife.

It wasn’t anything bad per se,

But he wasn’t affectionate, nor did he act like he loved her.

She was just his wife.

Married to him in papers.

But that didn’t mean Cale Henituse didn’t treat her any less than a human.

Cale acknowledged that she’s there. That she’s his wife. He may do actions that ‘trash’ would do, but Cale have never—not even once, involved his wife to his business.

He throws bottles, shouts at gangsters, cause a ruckus, but amidst all.

Cale Henituse has never involved his wife.

Now, to others, it would seem like Cale and his wife, Isabella, don’t have a good relationship.

It’s not like they do, but it’s not like they have a bad relationship either.

In the world they live in, getting engaged at twelve is normal, getting married at fifteen is normal too. But of course, not doing any of those is normal too.

Now for Cale Henituse and Isabella Henituse, engaged at thirteen, married at fifteen, it’s safe to say that while they do not have the relationship that normal husband and wife would have, their relationship can be considered friends.

They were comfortable enough with each other that they would have physical contact. Hugging, holding hands, they knew each other not deeply, but enough.

Isabella was there to anchor Cale, and Cale was there to protect Isabella.

They didn’t have a deep relationship, they didn’t try to know each other more, but they knew enough.

Enough that Isabella would take care of her husband when he got bruises from fighting while drinking, enough that Isabella understood what this Cale carries, enough that Isabella knew not to pry, enough that Isabella knew the man who woke up beside her, the same man who looks like her husband, the same Cale Henituse,

Enough that Isabella knew he is not her husband.

Of course she knows,

This world is the ‘Trash of the Count’s Family’ after all.
