Chapter Text
It’s been a shit day at the tail end of a shit week, and all Sunoo wanted to do is to rest his body and mind. It's Friday and their finals had just ended hours ago—and even with the relief of surviving (and actually passing) all of his exams, Sunoo wasn't in the mood for anything other than to hibernate. He was planning to turn off all his socials and go into hermit mode, maybe catch up on all the drama too that he has to postpone in favor of studying.
So why is he at a party at 9 pm, already at his second drink?
Sunoo sighs. This is so out of his plan for the night. He imagined hanging out at his tub and treating himself with some relaxing bubble bath yet the scenario he's in at the moment is the complete opposite, with the stench of alcohol and cigarettes clinging onto him instead.
Apparently the party is for the alumni of batch 2020-2021 that is held annually, specifically for the university's former football players—which means they're basically gate crashing right now. Or not. They were told to come by one of the alumni without any formal invitation so he supposes they're partly gate crashing, Sunoo isn't really one to dwell on technicalities so he decides to let it go.
It was a little odd to see all those faces around again since it's been more than a year without them roaming around the campus grounds, but somehow it made Sunoo feel more relaxed… and more at home. After all, he was mostly friends with them back when they were still playing for the university, since he's a part of the cheerleading team and would always tag along during the major matches.
Sunoo can definitely see the many changes in them; the apparent shift not only in the way they presented themselves but their overall aura in general. For instance, he can see how matured and well-groomed Park Jongseong is right now—he looked more like a CEO rather than some spoiled rich boy, like Sunoo's first impression of him.
He smiles and waves across the room, eyes directed at his Jake hyung whom he is the closest with among the players. They kept in touch even after the older male had graduated, so Sunoo isn't all that surprised to see him now.
But Sunghoon, who was sitting beside him, is one of the alumni that Sunoo had never seen ever since graduation last year. He remembers his strange relationship with the male. They weren't as close as him and Jake, but they always somehow end up bickering over something so miniscule; it always got Sunoo a little heated when it happened, but now he can only grin at the distant memory.
Scanning his eyes once again across the sea of familiar faces, Sunoo's gaze falls right on a certain person—the same person who dragged him out on his supposedly peaceful Friday. He was about to call Yang Jungwon, his best friend, when the male changed his route towards Jay instead.
Sunoo's smile immediately falls. He should've known better than to think his best friend would choose him over his long-time crush. Jungwon is his only way back to the apartment they're sharing but from the looks of it, his friend is totally not leaving soon.
He resorts into cursing his best friend in his head as takes a huge sip from his second drink of the night. Sunoo's only hope is to get wasted as quickly as he can and wish that Jungwon would pity him enough to take him back into the comforts of their apartment.
“Hey, stop that.”
Riki materializes behind him out of nowhere, scaring the tipsiness out of Sunoo's system. He glares at the taller male while Riki only laughs at him.
“You're drinking so fast. You're gonna get drunk before midnight.” Riki chides as he tries to grab the red solo cup in his hold, which Sunoo was able to keep an arm's length away.
“That's the point of going to a party, dumbass.” Sunoo rolls his eyes without malice, instead reaching out to snatch a slice of pizza from Riki's plate.
Being the taller of the two, Riki easily lifts his plate before Sunoo's fingertips could touch his food. The latter could only scowl after being reminded of their height difference, despite him being the older one between them.
“Why are you even here? You said you were going to sleep off all of that stress from the finals.”
“Yeah, I should be.” Sunoo heaves another sigh too heavy for his age, before downing his drink. He disregards Riki openly gawking at what he did, already reaching to refill his cup. “But someone basically begged me to come here. Said he was too shy to go alone. Look at him now.” Riki follows Sunoo's eyes as the male glares at Jungwon from across the room, who coincidentally glances at them.
Sunoo just raises his middle finger before Jungwon disappears into the crowd. He brings the cup to his lips once more, when Riki shoves the plate he's holding into his hand.
“Idiot. Did you even have your dinner before coming here? Don't drink on an empty stomach or you're gonna puke your guts out later.”
“You're concerned about me now?” teases Sunoo with a grin, and watches in amusement as Riki's cheeks blooms into a bright shade of pink. As usual, Riki attempts to put him in a headlock, but this time Sunoo skillfully dodges it. “Aw, Riki-san is such a tsundere~”
“Shut up before I leave your sorry ass in here.”
“You can't,” Sunoo interjects as he settles down the plate on the counter, locking his arms with Riki before the male can take a single step. “You're going to dance with me.”
Riki is being dragged towards the dance floor quicker than he can even protest, resigning into his fate of being the babysitter of Sunoo (once again).
Okay, maybe the dancing part was a bit of a lie. Sunoo doesn't have enough alcohol in his system yet to whip out his ‘white girl dance’ and he's not about to embarrass himself in front of their former seniors while still sober, so he opts to just sway to the beat of the music. They did that for another song, tuning in and out of their surroundings and sometimes greeting whoever bumps to them.
“Hyung.” Riki whispers at one point, tapping the older male's shoulder.
Sunoo bids his goodbye at this one random guy that he recognizes as one of the former football players, before shifting his attention back to Riki. “What?”
“Look,” Riki nods his head towards the bar counter where they previously sat, lips stretching into a knowing grin. “That guy's been checking you out for at least five minutes now.”
“Who?” Squinting, Sunoo follows Riki's gaze.
As he is searching amongst the crowd, dark eyes fleetingly meets his amber ones, and Sunoo's breath hitch a little. He thought he'd be able to score tonight, but his excitement was cut short when recognizes the familiar face sitting on the bar stool, looking directly at him.
The fog in his mind instantly clears up, and then he freezes on his spot.
It's Lee Heeseung, his (only) ex of one year.
You’ve got be fucking kidding me, Sunoo curses inwardly as he turns around quickly, hiding behind Riki's huge frame and away from the man's gaze, all while trying to calm his rapid heartbeat.
How the hell did Sunoo not see this coming? Of all people, he's the one person that Sunoo should've known would be here—he's the football team's former star player for christ's sake.
You swore to all the deities above to never check up on him again, remember? The voice in Sunoo's head taunts, and he can only facepalm mentally at his stupidity.
“Why are you hiding?” Riki looks at him weirdly, then shifts his gaze back to Heeseung. Sunoo tugs at the male's collar to stop him from looking back at his ex. “Stop looking at him!”
“Wait—do you know that guy?”
Oh, right. Riki doesn't know, does he?
Of course he wouldn't, he only moved into their university during his sophomore year not more than a year ago. By that time, Sunoo and Heeseung had already broken up for about two months, and for some reason neither he nor his friends had brought the topic up again—which now resulted in a clueless Riki.
“Yeah, I'll explain later.” Sunoo says in a haste, tugging a still very clueless Riki behind him as they skim their way out of the center stage. He doesn't care if he looks cowardly in Heeseung's eyes, he's not ready for any of this. (He doesn't think he'll ever be).
“Did you bring a car? Can you drive me home?”
“Woah, chill.” Riki stops Sunoo in his tracks, wary of the slight panic on the latter's face. “What's happening? And no, I can't. I went with Kai hyung, he's my only ride tonight.”
Sunoo holds the younger's arm, hopeful. “Borrow it, maybe?”
“Hyung, I don't have a license yet.” Riki deadpans. “Why are you so adamant on going home now? Saw your ex there or something?”
Sunoo almost wails right then and there.
“Yes,” He rubs his palm over his face. “Yes, I did.”
“Who—oh, the guy that was checking you out?” Riki slaps his palm over his mouth dramatically. “That man literally looks like he's born out of a magazine… and you're saying that you were able to pull a guy as handsome as him? Really?”
“So funny, Riki. You're so fucking funny.” Sunoo scowls. “Yeah, I was able to pull someone as handsome as him because I actually socialize with people and they all actually like me. But you wouldn't know that because you're an ipad kid who barely has a social life outside of your room.”
Ignoring Sunoo's words, Riki probes further. “So you still have feelings for him?”
“Yes—what? No!”
Riki elbows Sunoo's side with a teasing grin. “You admitted that he's handsome.”
“And? He is but that means nothing!”
“No, that means you still find him attractive and finding someone attractive means you're attracted to them.”
“Okay Mr. Dictionary. I know exactly what those words meant.” Sunoo huffs, his bangs flying up due to the sudden rush of air before settling back to its loyal position on his forehead a second later. “Still doesn't prove anything.” He adds, swatting Riki's hand that's poking at his side.
“Say swear.”
“God Riki, you're so annoying.” Sunoo shoves the taller male to the side, fishing his phone out of his pocket as he walks over to the balcony. Damn, he doesn't even remember how and when they got to the second floor. “I swear Jungwon if you don't answer your phone right now.”
5 missed calls later, and Sunoo's phone almost flies out of the window.
“That's it, I'm going home.”
“Already? It's still too early.” Riki trails behind Sunoo as the male starts to head downstairs.
“I think the agonizing three hours that I spent here is enough.”
“You're being way too obvious.”
Sunoo gives him a look. “Not if I sneak out of the party through the back door.”
“That's not what I meant, stupid.” This time, it's Riki's turn to roll his eyes.
“Who are you calling stupid—”
“You're being way too obvious that you're not over him yet.”
Sunoo's mouth drops open, looking at Riki as if he has grown two heads. “It's been a year, Riki. Of course I am!”
“It's only been a year.” Riki counters. “It's okay to admit it, hyung. Even I wouldn't be able to move on quickly from a face like his. I know.” He pats Sunoo's shoulder, and it took the latter's willpower not to break his arm right there and then.
“Believe what you wanna believe, but I'm past that.” Sunoo walks past him and through the mass of sweaty bodies, ignoring Riki who's tailing him.
“Clearly not if you're still this bothered by his presence.”
“You know what—”
“What?” A familiar voice behind him pipes in, and Sunoo feels a hand draping around his shoulders. Relief washes over him when he turns his head to see Jungwon.
“Wonie! Thank God, I've been calling you.” Sunoo immediately latches himself onto his best friend. “Can you drive me home now?”
“Why?” Jungwon faces the male, eyebrows knitted together at the urgency in Sunoo's voice. “Did something happen?”
“His ex-boyfriend happened.” Riki speaks up before Sunoo could even utter a word, mischief written in his features as he watches his hyung's shocked expression morph into an annoyed one.
“Riki you little piece of shit.”
“Oh. Heeseung hyung?” Jungwon's voice stops Sunoo from reaching over and strangling Riki. The smaller male could only scratch his nape as Sunoo looks at him in what's shaping to be betrayal flashing in his eyes. “I forgot to tell you. Hehe. Sorry?”
“You traitor.” Sunoo exhales deeply, feeling a headache coming. Hand in his hip as he pinches the bridge of his nose, Sunoo looks at Jungwon with exasperation, who in turn merely smiles at him.
“That reminds me—you're single, right?”
Sunoo's face turns even gloomier than it already was. Jungwon really just had to rub it in, didn't he? “What is it to you?”
“Then come on.” Jungwon is already pulling him away from the corner before he can even finish talking, while a laughing Riki trails behind them.
“No. What I'm gonna do is go home and take a beauty rest.” Sunoo tries to yank his arm back, but is held in place instead as Riki joins in on his other side. “Why am I being restrained by the two of you?!”
“We're gonna get you laid tonight.”
It took a lot of convincing, a little bribery, and a few more shots of alcohol for Jungwon and Riki to keep Sunoo from sneaking out of the party. He honestly couldn't go even if he wanted to, since he had no means of transportation except for Jungwon's car or a bus trip back to their apartment (which is impossible at the moment since he has his bag locked in Jungwon's car).
So here he is, currently sitting in a circle of people, trying his best not to let his gaze drift towards the man—his ex—seated right in front of him (and obviously failing).
He had given himself a pep talk and a list of things to do when this, the whole meeting-your-ex-again scenario finally happens, but all of those went flying out of the window now that he's face to face with Heeseung again. All feelings came rushing back, hitting him like a freight train and blindsiding him.
The past couple months that he had spent trying to erase Heeseung's traces from his memory went all down the drain in a blink, and he only has himself to blame for it.
If Sunoo tried hard enough, he could've had Jake or anyone he knew in the party to drive him home; but a small part of him does want to see Heeseung again. As much as he hates to admit it, maybe Riki is right—maybe he really isn't over his ex yet.
How could he when it's only been nine months since they last saw each other?
It's been a year since they broke up, and exactly nine months since Sunoo decided to completely cut ties with Heeseung. They were the typical varsity-cheerleader couple, popular and loved by all; so you could imagine how chaotic it had been when their break up spread through their campus in a matter of days after Sunoo had removed Heeseung's name on his social media accounts. Many people thought that it was Heeseung who ended things, but contrary to popular belief—it was him who did.
Truth to be told, Heeseung isn't Sunoo's first love.
He experienced his first love back in highschool, with a guy he used to be in a drama club with. It didn't progress any further, simply because they were young and Sunoo didn't believe it would work with them going on different paths in college. The rest is history but the ending is, he let his feelings fade away.
Heeseung was his first in a lot of things though; his first boyfriend, first kiss, first sex, and first real heartbreak. They were hopelessly (and grossly, as their friends would put it) in love with each other throughout the duration of their relationship, until the time for Heeseung to prepare for graduation and sort his future out as an athlete came.
If there's one thing Sunoo had absolutely feared, it was the uncertainty of their relationship's future. It was a petty reason for a break-up, he knows—but his fears are valid.
In the few months leading up to their break-up, Sunoo became a little distant, like he was preparing himself for the inevitable before it happens; before Heeseung finally graduates, gets busy with his career, and inevitably drifts apart from him. Sunoo thought it won't hurt as much if he slowly detaches himself first.
Their break-up wasn't messy. It was the opposite—it was quiet, void of any hostility from either side. They spent that day tangled up in sheets and wrapped in each other's warmth, uttering I love yous and sweet nothings to each other until sunrise like they normally did; like they weren't gonna come out of Heeseung's condo unit the next day as nothing but ex-lovers.
Heeseung took the break-up in a stride, surprisingly. And for some reason, it only made Sunoo feel shittier than he already did.
Ending things on good terms is much harder than those that ended with angry texts or not-so-cryptic social media posts, Sunoo had learned. They stayed as friends, or they tried to, but the lingering feelings he still harboured for Heeseung stayed as well that he eventually came into a decision of completely disappearing from the male's life.
For at least nine months, that is.
The least thing that he expected to happen was for his streak to be broken down so soon. He was doing so well! (Or he'd like to think he is).
Sunoo doesn't have to look to know that Heeseung is watching him, he can already feel those dark eyes running over his body, leaving him bare and awfully barren, so intense that they seemed to burn holes into him. Every place where they lingered is left tingling, and he feels his stomach churn.
Maybe it's just the alcohol.
Grabbing Riki's drink beside him to muster up some courage, Sunoo waits for a minute or so before he chanced a look at his ex thinking it was safe—only for their eyes to meet directly again for the second time of the night. This time, Heeseung smirks at him, setting an onslaught of butterflies in his stomach on loose.
Yup, It's definitely not just the alcohol.
“Why do you look so constipated? It's just a game.”
Jungwon asks when he turns to him, lips curved into a smile that tells Sunoo he knows exactly why he's like this.
It's not just a game, Sunoo wants to say but decided against it. “You're setting me up for failure, that's why.”
“With all these hot people around? Nah, trust me. We're gonna put an end to your dry sex life tonight.”
He glances around to see about 10 people in their circle plus a couple more bystanders and Sunoo feels himself grow more nervous because really, this could only end in one way—catastrophe. Though Sunoo not knowing most of them personally is probably a good thing, if he ever ends up embarrassing himself.
“Okay, we'll play the classic Truth or Dare. There's one important rule though.” Beomgyu—one of the alumni and apparently the host of the game—starts with a loud voice, effectively catching everyone’s attention as he rounds the players together. He crouches on the center of the circle, setting up the bottle in the middle. “Anyone who wimps out will run a lap butt-naked down the neighborhood. This is serious by the way.”
“Gyu, there might be people outside.” Kai points out, stating the obvious, but Beomgyu only shrugs at him.
“Then none of you fuckers better chicken out if you don't want to get charged with public indecency. And oh, one more thing,” Beomgyu casts a look at every single one of them, his gaze lasting a little longer at Sunoo's direction before his eyes pan towards Heeseung. Sunoo feels himself break out in cold sweat. “Exes and lovers doesn't exist in this game. Okay?”
A blackhole opening up underneath him and swallowing him whole right now would be great, thank you.
Beomgyu had just started to spin the bottle in front of them, but Sunoo probably had already prayed to at least five deities for him not to be chosen. He watches with bated breath as the bottle slowly comes into a halt, finally letting out the air he's been holding in when it stops at Sunghoon, with the other end pointing at Jay.
“Dare.” Sunghoon answers with a smug grin.
Jay thinks for a few seconds, though it's obvious that he already has a dare in mind with the mischief flashing in his eyes. “You see that table? I dare you to drink all the leftover alcohol in all of those solo cups and beer bottles.”
“Ew. Gross!”
Snickering can be heard all around him, but Sunoo couldn't hide the apparent disgust that's painted on his face when Sunghoon walks over to the said table with no qualms, not flinching even once as he starts sweeping the table off of red solo cups and beer bottle, emptying each one of them down his throat to the very last drop.
“That was straight up ass.” Sunghoon cringes a little at the aftertaste as he settles down on his previous spot, hunching over to spin the bottle. This time, it stops on Jungwon.
“Truth or dare?” Sunghoon asks.
It takes a moment before Jungwon answers. “Uh, dare.”
“I dare you to sit on the lap of that blonde head to your right until your next turn.”
Sunoo is sitting on Jungwon's left side, so he looks over to see who Sunghoon was pertaining to.
Oh, it's Riki. A smile slowly spreads across his face when he sees Riki suddenly go awfully silent, aware of the younger's little crush on his best friend. It doesn't take a genius for Sunoo to know that the younger male is blushing underneath the purple lights.
Jungwon visibly gulps, and the same knowing grin appears on Sunghoon's visage as he glances at… Jay's direction?
“Your ass is in so much trouble,” Sunoo leans toward Jungwon's ear, watching as Jay's face turns sour. “Literally.”
“Who says I didn't come prepared?” is all Jungwon says before he crawls to his left, straddling a very flustered Riki and leaving Sunoo completely scandalized. Since they're sitting on the floor, Jungwon rests his legs on both sides of Riki's waist, circling them around it. Their positions didn't really allow for Jungwon to turn around, he commands Riki to spin the bottle for him instead.
It stops with Heeseung, but it's Sunoo's heart that starts beating wildly against his chest.
“Truth or dare?”
“Truth.” Heeseung simply says, prompting a chorus of boos and audible groans from the crowd around them. “What? As far as I remember, we're playing truth or dare. Which means I can choose between the two.” He reasons out with a shrug.
He definitely has a valid point, Sunoo thinks, though he's sure that Heeseung just didn't want to be roped into his friends' shenanigans if he ever chooses dare.
“Is there someone you miss right now?”
The noise dies down as Jungwon's question rings in the circle. It wasn't for him, but Sunoo honest to God feels like he's on a fucking hot seat right now. He's not dumb to not know what Jungwon is implying, and he's definitely not numb not to feel everyone's attention suddenly trained on the two of them. He refuses to look everywhere but the floor.
Silence blankets the air for a few seconds except for the low murmurs of the bystanders around them, before Heeseung finally answers.
“Yeah.” came Heeseung's answer, loud and clear. “I do miss someone right now.”
Sunoo doesn't know what pushed him to look at Heeseung's direction, but he does and instantly regrets it. He feels his heart drop into his stomach when he finds his ex looking in his way. Would he be delusional for thinking that Heeseung is pertaining to him?
Their eye contact doesn't last long, soon broken by the teasing remarks that came after Heeseung's answer.
“Is the person here?”
“Don't be shy, give us some clues!”
“1,000 won per question. No? Then shut up.” Heeseung waves a hand dismissively, before he reaches over to spin the bottle. It rotates twice, thrice, until it finally stops. “Alright Yeonjun-ah. Truth or dare?”
“Dare, of course.” Yeonjun answers coolly.
“Kiss someone in here that you haven't kissed before. 10 seconds.”
Yeonjun whistles, grinning. “Easy peasy.”
Most people in the circle are guilty of a drunken make out session with Yeonjun, from what he's heard. Well, except for him since they were never really close like that despite the male being the football team's captain and them being in the same space for every match. Plus why would he be when he was literally in a relationship and head over heels for Heeseung during their time in their campus?
He shouldn't be surprised to see Yeonjun crawling towards his direction, yet he's completely frozen when the male finally stops in front of him.
“Why are you—me?” Sunoo asks dumbly, panic written in his eyes as the people around them start to chant kiss, kiss, kiss in the background.
“Is it okay?”
It's probably the pressure of countless pairs of eyes focused on them two, but Sunoo finds himself nodding. Technically speaking it's okay since he's single… right?
Sunoo doesn't have time to dwell on that as Yeonjun immediately hooks his finger underneath his chin the moment he gives permission, and the next thing that his brain is able to process are the warm pair of lips pressing against his, moving expertly that Sunoo naturally lets the male take the lead.
He lost track of the countdown when Yeonjun pries his mouth open using his tongue, slithering its way inside to get a taste which Sunoo willingly allows. He can feel his heart hammering against his ribcage, and the voices cheering in the background did nothing but to amplify it.
It's only when Yeonjun slowly pulls away that Sunoo finally opens his eyes and realizes that the countdown is done, shame quickly creeping underneath his skin when he sees everyone have their phones out, directly pointed at them.
“Wooh! That was hot!”
“He said kiss, not make-out!”
Oh God, he's royally fucked. Hopefully none of his relatives gets a hold of the clips or he'll be disowned on the spot.
“Didn't wanna let the chance of making out with the hottest cheerleader pass. Plus, Mr. Cheerleader here is a good kisser.” Yeonjun says, which only spurs the crowd more. The older male turns his head to wink at him, and Sunoo feels his cheeks heating up. “Thanks, pretty.”
Yeonjun leaving his spot to go back to his previous seat allows Sunoo to catch a glimpse of Heeseung who's sitting across him, and for some reason there's a nauseating feeling that bubbles up within him when he sees the indiscernible look on Heeseung's face.
“Okay who's next?” Yeonjun asks no one in particular, more so to catch everyone's attention, before spinning the bottle again. Sunoo's too distracted to notice that it landed on him. “Hey, pretty boy. Truth or dare?”
Jungwon has to nudge his side for him to answer. “Oh! Uh, dare. Yeah.”
“I'll go easy on you.” says Yeonjun with that same boyish grin from earlier. “Take one blow job shot of vodka.”
Sunoo obliges without any complaints, remembering the consequences of chickening out of a dare. Besides, he feels like he needs more alcohol in his system—he's still way too sober for the scene that had just transpired.
He doesn't know who or where the shot glass had come from but someone hands him one before he can stand up to get it himself. Sunoo says his thanks before bringing the shot glass to his mouth, latching his lips on the rim before he tips his head back to drink the shot without using his hands.
In a moment of confidence, he takes another glance at Heeseung and finds the male's eyes still glued to him which goads him further. His entire body feels flushed with heat, and he can't seem to pull his gaze away from the way Heeseung is eyeing him with that gaze. It's a miracle that he's able to finish the shot without choking so he gives himself a mental pat on the back for it, all while trying his best not to grimace at the burning sensation down his throat.
At last, Sunoo waves the empty shot glass anyway with a triumphant smile to signal his finished task, prompting people around him to cheer once again before the game proceeds.
A few more spins and Jungwon is off Riki's lap, now clinging on Jay's side, Jake is already shirtless, Sunghoon's passed out against the couch beside him—
and some random guy is doing a body shot on him? Why is he being involved in everyone's dare?
Sunoo bites his lip as he feels the man licking the salt off the dip near his collarbone, skin heating up from the alcohol cursing through his body but mainly from the wet tongue that's brushing against his neck. He gets even redder on the cheeks at the attention they're receiving. If it weren't for his tipsiness, Sunoo would've probably dug a hole and hid away from everyone's eyes a long time ago.
He tries to rack his brain for any memory about the guy in front of him, but not a single name comes into Sunoo's mind. The man seems to have caught on though when he pulls away to face Sunoo.
“Name's K, it's nice to meet you.” The man—K says breezily, taking the empty spot besides Sunoo.
Ah, does sucking a hickey on a stranger's neck come first before introducing yourself nowadays?
“Sorry for introducing myself late, by the way.” K adds.
Sunoo's mouth gapes at that. Is this guy a mind reader or what? “No, no! It's alright. I'm Kim Sunoo.”
“Yeah, I know.” K nods. “Heeseung's ex, right?”
“You know?” Sunoo quirks an eyebrow, before nodding. “And yes. I'm uh, his ex.” He says briefly with a smile, though he's sure it came out more as a grimace. Sunoo doesn't mean to come off as snobbish, really, but how is talking about someone's ex a great conversation starter?
He knows the male wants to continue the conversation but Sunoo already has his attention back on the game, not really in the mood for small talk at the moment (even though K is handsome as fuck). Other times he'd be friendly, but his brain's all mushy at the amount of alcohol he's taken so far and he doubts he'll be able to make a sound conversation. Sunoo's just in time to witness Heeseung's turn again.
“Truth or dare?”
“I'll take a dare this time.”
The circle goes crazy after Heeseung airs his answer. For someone who claims to be ‘not interested’ in his ex anymore though, Sunoo finds himself oddly invested.
“Shirt off for the rest of the game!”
Sunoo swallows thickly, eyes glued to the scene playing out in front of him. His mouth hangs open when Heeseung starts slipping off his shirt, revealing his toned torso, and Sunoo's thoughts spiral back to the nights that he shared with the male before. He's heard of post-break up glow and witnessed it many times but damn, Sunoo thinks it's a little unfair that Heeseung gets to experience it too when he's already the embodiment of the word perfection.
God has his favorites, it seems.
His train of thought is cut off when he feels an arm snaking its way around his waist. Sunoo turns his head to see that it's K's, and when he shifts his gaze towards the male, he's taken notice of how close K suddenly is.
“What are you doing?” Sunoo asks and does his best to lean away from the male's grasp. With the way K continues to scoot closer, he isn't sure if the male didn't hear him from all the noise, or just deliberately ignoring his body language—but he gets his answer soon when K whispers in his ear.
“Why?” K's warm hand creeps underneath the shirt, feeling the smooth skin of Sunoo's waist, lips grazing against the latter's ear. “Will someone get mad?”
“No, uhm. It's just that—” A shiver racks through his body, cutting him off mid-sentence. Sunoo's head spins both from the alcohol and the heat of the body against his. K seems to have noticed, taking advantage of his lowered guard to nibble at the soft shell of his ear. “I-I don't know you that well yet?”
It comes off more as a question rather than a statement because really, Sunoo isn't sure what's stopping him from dragging the guy in one of the guest rooms here to have a quick fuck when K has pretty much showed his interest in him. Maybe he really isn't in the mood—
or maybe it's the way Heeseung has been staring daggers at them for the past 2 minutes now, jaw clenched, his previously stoic expression now replaced with something akin to a hostile one.
“A little old school, huh?” K chuckles, catching his attention again. The male's hand is laid flat across his stomach and it makes Sunoo wonder if K could feel the butterflies going crazy inside him. “I mean, I could take you to bed right now and you can see for yourself if I'm worthy of getting to know you afterwards.”
Is his sex life really that dry that the universe took it upon itself to spice up his life by throwing boys after boys his way right now?
Sunoo feels his mouth go dry, weighing the situation he's in. “Well, I—”
“Sunoo.”
He blinks at the mention of his name, about to turn his head towards the source of the voice, when the hand around his torso grows tighter, possessive.
“What do you think?” asks K as proceeds to press a kiss behind Sunoo's ear, seemingly unfazed by the commotion.
“Sunoo-ya.”
The familiar endearment causes Sunoo to finally withdraw his attention from K and back to the person who called him—Heeseung.
“Truth or dare?”
Sunoo's head is so occupied that he didn't even notice the bottle stopping and pointing at him. His stomach drops, and the nauseating feeling comes back. He hopes it's not an impending vomit.
In a haste, he blurts out ’dare’ and watches as a smirk bloom across Heeseung's face.
Then it clicks.
Heeseung's the one who will give him dare, fuck.
Amongst the ear shattering noise of the people screeching and cheering around them, Heeseung's voice is the loudest in Sunoo's mind as he says the next words.
“I dare you to go in one of the bedrooms with me.” Heeseung says, before casting a sharp glare at K. “Right now.”
