Theseus is an ancient entity whose title God/personification of chaos, youth, trickery, death, and brother to the personification of the earth, Gaia, the underworld Tartarus, and procreation Eros who all appeared from Chaos. Along with two other siblings both ancestral deities like him Erebus a god or personification of darkness and Nyx a goddess or personification of the night.
All formed or born from chaos, Theseus always had chaos by his side as his power receded from her. While Gaia created her spouse Uranus out of loneliness but he became cruel. He grew concerned that one day one of his children would overthrow him of his supposed rightful rule of power so when Gaia had their children he imprisoned them by pushing them into hidden places of the earth.
She persuaded her children to help overthrow him, becoming resentful to their father for keeping them locked away; they agreed and followed the leadership of the youngest Cronus and the titans rebelled against their father.
Theseus on the other hand had no interest in being involved with the changes that happened when Uranus was killed by his son. The god decided to stay in his domain and pass the time there, keeping his need for chaos at bay knowing well to be patient and instead watch from afar.

Time passed when Kronos took over from Uranus, eventually, he as well got overthrown by his own son Zeus to which Theseus did join him in the Titan wars. But those wars were many many centuries ago. Despite it seeming like it wasn’t that long ago to Theseus.
Many centuries later the god had a spouse having fallen for the Goddess and queen Hecate of Witchcraft, magic, the night, moon, necromancy, and creatures of the night like hell-hounds and ghosts. The gods even honored the wedding with their presence.

Theseus was often described by the mortals, as a young man with hair as gold as the finest riches, with blue crystalline eyes that reflected that of an ocean blue. While his spouse was described with hair black as darkness with eyes, purple with a tint of a light blue. She often wore dark lilac robes. While Theseus often wore crimson robes with a tint of a dark color of black.
Together the two gods had a couple of children. The first and second-born were Methuselah Deity of death, he brings death to those who are at their time by setting off their candle flames. Menahem deity of comfort, he brings comfort after the death of a loved one, he also brings life to those who are born after a loved one’s death. The two younger twins fall under their father's domain of death, that is before he passed it to a specific mortal who would later become death.
The third and Fourth born were Ciara, goddess of dark magic, a princess of witchcraft. Clara Goddess of doorway and princess of familiars. The two girls were both born with god-like traits like their mother despite Clara having access to time. They often spent their time with their mother in her domain, rarely going into their father's domain where their two older brothers were always at.
The young deities did interact quite a lot with each other, sometimes Hecate would have the nymphs keep watch with them. And by all means, they enjoyed the nymph's presence.

It was not a lively time for Hecate’s followers as they were fastly declining. The reason was that trials were occurring more frequently, the mortals feared the powers of witches and the magic they practiced. But these trials mostly started by Hecate's older brother HQ and cousin Anulap son of Circe, sister of her father
Despite the two being cousins, some mortals mistake them for siblings as when they’d show their presence they looked identical, more so like twins.
Even so, HQ and Hecate are half-siblings. Not to forget that they have a far older brother, they hardly see him since he spends his time in the mortal realm during the night and during the day he tends to assist their mother Asteria.
HQ mostly spent his time with his father despite their domains being somewhat a bit separate. HQ was the god of marriages and beauty. By separate was that he had a corruption side towards his godhood, he was given a specific rule to follow for his corruption side to not corrupt him.
He got that corruption from his father who was the Titan god of destruction and peace. While other traits he got from his mother who was an immortal woman, she had long beautiful black locks of hair, she was a kind, and feisty woman; being tough independent, and spirited.
Though when she had him she didn’t want him, or well to put it in separate words she couldn’t take care of him.
A god with an unfortunate fate he would later become
Their elder brother was the firstborn of both Perses and Asteria, he fell under his mother’s domains becoming a god of night. He’d mostly seek out other gods that fell under night domains, but despite it, he was a caring brother to his sibling.

When Hecate's cousin came down to the mortal realm, he lost his temper on a man and demonstrated his abilities and cursed him, unfortunately, he appeared in his mortal form instead of his god form.
Being the careless god he was, he accidentally blamed a random mortal who was passing by, and that mortal happened to be a devoted follower of Hecate. He realized his mistake too late.
The man had already gone ahead and reported the woman who walked by. She was arrested in her home and taken to the dungeons. Then the Judge and some officials resulted in her being a witch.

From then on, more followers of both Hecate and Anulap were executed. Eventually, they became known as the Witch trials. Some who were put on trial weren’t even witches of sorcery. Just normal mortals who were wrongly accused caused by Anulap.
HQ was also living down in the mortal realm as well during this time and uninformed he was spotted as unordinary with the way he dressed and was even caught doing magic, he later was accused of witchery.
He knew better than to stay and let mere mortals execute him. He fled into his domain. Unfortunately, the people he interacted with were also accused of just knowing him, a couple even being his followers.
He did something he wasn't supposed to, he was angered by the people who were executing his followers, so he interfered by sending destruction to the village. The results did halt and stop some of the trials but they did resume.
It wasn’t till a couple of years later when the trials did eventually end, that many of the followers ended up dead, some who were detained were released and went into hiding worshiping their goddess and god secretly.
