Chapter Text
The launch from Arus had gone smoothly, which came as a welcomed surprise from the Paladins and the two Alteans.
Coran and Allura spent a lot of time in the main control room. Allura would leave from time to time to speak with the hologram of her father, and Coran would leave to fix up the castle.
Lance spent most of his time relaxing. Occassionally, he'd emerge from his room with a green facemask on to inspect what the other occupants of the castle were doing.
Hunk spent the majority of his time in the kitchen. He refused to let Coran into the space. While he wasn't testing out new spices or recipes, Hunk would assist Pidge with their tinkering and repairs to escape pods and the ship.
Pidge spent most of their time in the Green Lion's hangar. They inspected the damage that Sendak had done to the castle and researched what they could on the Galran Empire's tech.
Keith spent most of his time training. He would occasionally go to the Red Lion's hangar and seemingly sit in silence, either placing himself on the floor next to Red while sharpening his dagger or sitting inside the cockpit.
Shiro spent his time checking in with his fellow Paladins and would work with Allura and Coran on navigation, even if it did take him a bit to fully understand the terms the two used.
The sleep schedules of the Paladins (mostly Lance and Hunk) set the cycle of "day" and "night", since there was no sun to go by while in a spaceship.
As the majority of the occupants of the castle went off the take a well deserved rest, the wormholes started appearing.
Shiro was peacefully sleeping when he woke to the sensation of falling.
The Paladins and the two Alteans fell in a heap on the floor of a new room.
Shiro quickly got to his feet. Hunk, who was stuck under Pidge and Coran, groaned in pain.
As the 7 regained their bearings, they also took time to observe their surroundings.
They looked be in an enclosed room with a kitchen area that was blocked off by counters. The larger space had carpeted flooring, as opposed to the tiled flooring of the kitchen area, with a large screen taking up the majority of a wall and a semicircles of cushioned seats and couches facing it.
"Where are we?" Keith asked.
"I don't know," Shiro replied. He noticed a neatly folded piece of paper on the kitchen counter. He unfolded it and said, "This is a note. It might explain our situation."
The paper said : ' to the Paladins of Voltron, Princess Allura, and Coran. Apologizes for the sudden trip, but you have been brought here to view your future. You aren't being forced to view the events, but you must decide as a team if you want to view them. If you choose not to, you will not be able to come back and view these videos. The show you will be watching if you choose to is called Voltron : Legendary Defenders. It will follow your adventures and battles and will show some events that you have already gone through, but it will also show many more that you have yet to experience. This show will likely give you an advantage in your fight with Emperor Zarkon. If you choose to watch, however, be aware that quite a few personal memories and moments will be shown, and many secrets will be revealed. Also, don't worry about the passage of time outside of your viewing space. Time has been temporarily paused, so you both literally and figuratively have all the time in the world.
Oh, and there are snacks in the kitchen. Feel free to make, drink, and eat whatever you wish.
I wish you the best of luck in your war against Emperor Zarkon, and may you be satisfied with whichever choice you make. '
As Shiro finished reading the note, Hunk went to verify that the fridge and the cabinets were stocked, which they were.
Pidge looked deep in thought, while Lance seemed to have already made up his mind.
"This seems like a pretty good deal to me," he said. "We're getting to see a show about our lives and the future, and we have unlimited movie night time to watch it."
"Yeah, it seems nice, but it may be some kind of trap," Keith pointed out. "We also don't know if the show is accurate, or if we're being lied to and led in the wrong direction."
Allura pursed her lips. "You both make good points, though I do feel as though it would be most beneficial to go through with the viewing. If we think that the information we gain won't assist us, we are not obligated to use it."
"The note said that we'll see events that have already happened," Pidge said. "If we find inconsistencies with what already happened, then we'll know it's inaccurate."
Hunk made his way away from the kitchen and back to the group. "How far back is the show going though? The note said that personal memories will be shown, and I really don't want to relive my awkward middle school phases." He shuddered. "Those were dark times.."
"Edgy and moody Hunk?" Lance asked. He stroked his chin in though. "I would love to see that. Maybe you and Mullet will find some common ground."
Keith sent Lance a nasty look, then turned to Shiro. "I still have my doubts about this, but I can also see the benefits. What are your thoughts?"
"I think that we could gain a lot by watching this show," Shiro said. "Based off the note, we don't seem to be losing anything by accepting. If anything, we'd possibly be losing something by declining."
"As secrets and private information may be shared through this show, we may also be able to learn a few secrets from the Galra," Allura commented.
"That is true, Princess," Coran said.
"Have we come to an agreement then?" Shiro asked, looking around at his team. "We'll be watching the show?"
They all nodded.
As they agreed, the large screen flickered on.
The 7 got settled with some snacks on the couches, and prepared to watch the show.
