Espresso sits at his work desk, half heartedly ignoring the constant buzzing of his phone. One of the workers in the other department had recently got his phone number, it makes sense considering that the man normally comes up to his workspace to bother him. He figured that giving him his number would prevent him from bothering everyone in the area, so by all means it makes sense. He didn’t check his phone until he completed looking over one of the reports he was told to. Upon opening his phone, he began reading back.
“HI ESSY!!!!11!!”
“i am out sick today so sorry i can't visit you up in your office :(“
“BUT i can just greet you here instead, so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“how is the work going? it muat be going well because youre so cool”
“must”
“i meant must”
“im not an idiot i am jsut typing to fast”
“JUST”
Espresso chucked aloud at the antics of Madeleine on text. His emails, though not much less excited, are way more formal. Does he see the other as a confidant or as a superior? He received another text.
“HI YOU JUST READ MY MESSAGESSSSS”
Espresso types out a simple response
“Yes, I did. I will get back to my work now, I do hope you get better Madeleine.”
From the other side of the scream, Madeleine almost squealed into his pillow. How does such a cold person make his face so warm?
