Ever since Cho Chang became friends with Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff's Golden Boy or the Prince of Hufflepuff.
She learned that a badger is a very scary animal.
Cedric Diggory, in one word she could describe as, was a puppy. He was loyal, eager to do anything to please her and other friends, protective and very much a great best friend that a girl can ask for.
She met him when she was in her 3rd year and Cedric was in his 4th year. She was just simply studying when a happy grey-eyed Hufflepuff who was year older than her approached him and asked, "Can we be friends?"
Cho didn't respond right away as he already took his seat and began to study with her. That time at the library simply continued with Cho finding a spot and Cedric found her minutes later with snacks or a story to tell.
The next thing she knew, she was always with Cedric Diggory.
Her friends asked her if she was dating him.
"No, he's my best friend, why would I date him?" They left her alone when they found out she was gay and so was Cedric.
"You're into girls?" Cedric asked her.
"You're into guys?" She asked him back and they stared at each for a few minutes before laughing, Madam Pince later shushed them and they didn't stop smiling the whole day.
Cho also learned something.
A Hufflepuff was crazy in everything.
Crazy scary when they friends were being bullied.
Cho was being bullied by some of her housemates when they learned she was gay, homophobic slurs directed to her as she just went on with her day.
She didn't tell her friends or Professor Flitwick.
She didn't want them to be invovled.
She could handled it.
One day, during lunch time, Cho was sitting at the mostly empty Ravenclaw table when she was suddenly drenched in hot water. She screamed as she got out of her seat and got her robes off, she felt the water sting her head and her skin. Laughter came and she looked over to see the bullies. Suzie Campbell, an American muggle-born who moved to Britain to study in Hogwarts, Alyssa Green, another muggle-born and Alexander Smith, Zacharias's Smith's brother.
"That'll make sure those disgusting sin of yours washes away!" Alyssa said, laughing as Cho stood there, tears beginning to fall as she noticed everyone watching, no teacher was in sight and her friends didn't do anything but watch as those three threw hurtful words at.
"Freak!"
"Disgusting bitch!"
"Why would you like a girl? Ew!~"
"Burn in hell!"
"Faggot!"
She was ready to cry when Cedric's angry voice echoed in the Great Hall.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?!"
Cho never heard him this mad or swore before, so did everyone as she heard gasp. Cho watched as Cedric stormed up to the three.
"What the fuck did you bloody-good-for-nothing buggers say to my best friend?! Come on! Say it! SAY IT AGAIN!" Cedric shouted at them. Everyone watched in shock as Cedric Diggory, the Hufflepuff Prince was swearing like a sailor, angry and oh-my-lord he was pissed.
"Who the hell do you think you are for doing that shit to MY BEST FRIEND! YOUR PATHETIC MINDS THINK IT'S GOOD TO HURT PEOPLE?! SHOWER THEM IN INSULTS?! EMBARRASS THEM?! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT TRUE PAIN IS LIKE ONCE I USE YOUR BLOODY PIECES INTO POTION INGREDIENTS!!!"
Cho cringed and sniffed the air when she smelt the smell of pee from one of the trio.
The trio backed up in fear, stuttering their words of excuse when Alexander spoke.
"W-why would you even be friends with her? A-are you gay too?"
Cedric stopped and gave a snort which turned to a laugh. Full-blown maniacal laughter until he stopped, staring at them with dark grey-eyes that promised pain.
"I am, got a problem with that Smith?" Alexander shrieked in fear.
"Now, listen here and listen good you bloody pieces of disgusting trash. If I find you or hear of you bullying Cho ever again. Pray to whatever god you believe that Professor Snape will catch you before I do. Because I can do so much worse than take points and detention." Cedric threatened, his voice sickly sweet and his eyes held promise of his words.
That day, Cho told Professor Flitwick of the bullying after getting healed up and Cedric showed how much that no one should ever hurt or bully his friends.
As for the trio, they were sent to 4 months of detention with Professor Snape and said Professor later gave Cedric 6 points when he found out what Cedric threatened to do.
Pomona Sprout was beaming with pride that day as well.
Hufflepuff later won the House Cup at the end of the year, for the first time it wasn't Gryffindor or Slytherin that won.
