Chapter Text
Jungkook stared at his Hyungs, his heart sinking as they continued to ignore him. He had just entered the room, returning home late at night, and not a single one of them bothered to welcome him or even acknowledge his presence.
The hurt was evident in his eyes as he watched them eat without him, not even extending an invitation for him to join them.
He was the pack pariah. The metaphorical elephant in the room. Totally outcasted from the pack. It was as if he was invisible like he didn’t belong there.
He had just come from outside, where the world seemed filled with rumors and lies about him, but what can he do that's the image that was put forth. The one he must maintain if he wanted to be close to the pack. The price of fame and love was burdened on his shoulders.
As he climbed the stairs, each step felt heavier than the last, burdened by the weight of his shattered reputation. The once familiar path to his bedroom now seemed treacherous, lined with the echoes of false accusations and whispered judgments that came from those he held dear to his heart.
His heart raced with a desperate desire to prove his innocence, to shatter the facade of the rumors that had tainted his name. With every beat, he yearned to reveal the truth, to expose the concocted tales that had woven themselves into the fabric of his existence.
As he reached the top of the staircase, he hesitated, his hand hovering over the doorknob. The room beyond beckoned to him like a sanctuary, a refuge from the piercing gazes and hushed whispers that followed him relentlessly.
The walls of his bedroom, once a place of comfort and solace, now seemed confining, trapping him within the confines of his turmoil. He longed to be in the shoes of his Hyungs, Jimin, and Yoongi, who remained blissfully unaware of the tarnished image that clung to him like a shadow. He yearned to experience the love and acceptance that came effortlessly to them, to feel the warmth of belonging within the pack.
He felt his resentment grow toward Jimin and yoongi. Why him, as his hands clenched and his knuckles turned white. Why did he have to grow through this alone was his silence not speak for itself? Why don't they push? Look behind the curtains of the play that he called life. Did they ever truly care for him as he does?
The small voice of resentment spoke in his head.
'They should go through what I'm going through. They should feel pain my isolation.'
He pushed the voice away and bottled up his resentment. He did love them and he knew that they truly cared about him. They had to but time was slipping away, slipping through his fingers like sand. The rumors, fueled by malice and ignorance, had spread like wildfire, consuming everything in their path.
He felt a gnawing sense of powerlessness, a sinking realization that he could not single-handedly extinguish the flames of falsehood that threatened to devour his identity.
The pain that twisted within him was only exacerbated by the betrayal of his pack. Their wavering belief, tainted by the poison of hearsay, had led them to demand his departure from the dorms, fearing for the safety and reputation of the other pack members. He was reduced to a mere blemish on their careers, an inconvenient burden they yearned to cast aside.
As he stood before the closed door, his hand finally found the strength to turn the knob. The room welcomed him with open arms, its familiar scent offering a fleeting respite from the chaos that engulfed his life. The soft glow of the bedside lamp cast a warm glow, creating an illusion of serenity within the four walls. But as he stepped inside, he knew that he could not stay hidden within these walls forever.
Inside his sanctuary, he sought solace from the relentless storm that raged outside. The room, adorned with exquisite decor and plush furnishings, seemed to mock him with its opulence. The contrast between the lavish surroundings and the turmoil within his heart only served to deepen his sense of isolation and misunderstanding. The world outside saw the trappings of success, but they were blind to the pain and suffering he endured in silence.
He tried to hint at the truth, leaving little clues and raising red flags, hoping someone would recognize the distress that lay beneath his carefully crafted facade. But his attempts only seemed to backfire, bringing him more pain and suffering. The walls of his room became witnesses to his hidden battles, bearing witness to his silent screams and the weight of his unspoken truths to the world to everyone.
Sitting on his wide bed, enveloped by luxurious silks, he often found himself lost in a sea of contemplation. His mind wandered, tracing the path of his journey from the day he was classified, to the present moment. Everything had changed. The once vibrant dreams and hopes that fueled his passion had been overshadowed by darkness he never anticipated. The abuse he endured, hidden behind closed doors, had left scars that ran deeper than anyone could fathom.
In these moments, his thoughts were consumed by a mixture of anger, frustration, and a deep yearning for justice. He pondered the workings of the company that had once promised him a future, now a source of disillusionment and despair. The weight of false accusations and the burden of being misunderstood weighed heavily on his shoulders, threatening to crush his spirit.
Within the confines of his room, he often found himself grappling with conflicting emotions. The luxury that surrounded him stood as a stark reminder of the success he had achieved, yet it felt hollow and meaningless in the face of the pain that resided within him. The walls absorbed his tears, witnessed his moments of vulnerability, and held his secrets close, providing a temporary refuge from the harsh reality that awaited him beyond those closed doors.
As he sat there, the room became a sanctuary for his thoughts and emotions, a place where he could confront his fears and gather the strength to face the world once again. Though the isolation felt suffocating it was in these moments that his mind wandered, contemplating how everything had changed since he was classified.
The battle to reclaim his name, to dispel the rumors that threatened to define him, loomed ahead. With a heavy heart, he resolved to face the storm that awaited him, to fight for his truth, and to prove to himself and his Hyungs that he was not the person they believed him to be.
While Jungkook sat alone, his former pack carried on with their dinner as if he didn’t exist. The atmosphere was heavy with tension, the once vibrant energy replaced with palpable unease. The alpha members, usually warm and welcoming, now seemed distant, their gazes guarded and cautious.
They instinctively shielded the omegas from him as he entered the dorm, their protective instincts on high alert. Even his beta scent, once familiar and comforting, now seemed strange to them, deemed abnormal in the wake of the rumors that tainted his name.
Namjoon, the dominant alpha and the leader of their pack, broke the silence, his voice filled with authority as he reminded the others of their agreement. His gaze, unwavering and stern, fixed on Taehyung and Jimin, the once closest members to Jungkook, but now the only one that can bear his presence.
“We have agreed that there should be no contact with him whatsoever, and he should not be alone with any of us,” Namjoon declared, his voice carrying a weight that mirrored the gravity of the situation. His words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the divide that now existed within their once tight-knit group.
Taehyung blushed under the attention of their head alpha, his eyes darting nervously between the others. He shifted uncomfortably, sitting on Jin’s lap as he was fed, seeking solace and reassurance in the physical connection. The comfort and safety that he felt within the pack bloomed inside of him. While red painted his cheeks. Jimin, on the other hand, sat silently at the side, avoiding eye contact with anyone.
“If anything happens, immediately call hyungs,” Namjoon added, directing his words to Yoongi. “I don’t care if you’re a dominant omega. It’s my responsibility to protect you from people like him.” Namjoon’s head pointed towards Jungkook’s room, emphasizing the danger they believed he posed.
“But Hyung, I…” Taehyung began to protest, only to be cut off by Hoseok. He didn't like that he was contained in his own home
“No buts, Taetae. Don’t argue with Joon. It’s only until he leaves next week,” Hoseok interjected firmly exuding authority as he looked at taehyung with his piercing eyed, putting an end to any further objections.
Meanwhile, Yoongi sat silently, his heart heavy with a mix of anger and disgust. He continued to finish his food, each bite a struggle as he couldn't help but glare at Jungkook's closed door. The trust they had once placed in him now felt like a cruel joke.
"I can't believe we ever trusted someone like him," Taehyung seethed, his voice laced with fury. "How is it possible that he's not in prison yet? The things he's done are beyond despicable. And now he's even restricting us within our own home. I want him gone."
Yoongi nodded in agreement, his expression hardening with every word. "He will be gone soon. I can't stand how he manipulates the emotions of those around him, regardless of their classification. It's sickening," he added, his voice dripping with contempt as he continued to eat his meal at the dinner table.
Jin, always the calming presence, reached out to caress Yoongi's face gently. "Don't let it consume you, love," he whispered. "Focus on yourself, on your well-being. Your heat will be here soon, and you're already starting to feel the effects."
Yoongi sighed, his bitterness evident in his voice. "Yeah, it'll probably hit hard tomorrow," he replied, his gaze flickering with a mix of weariness and determination. "But I won't let his actions ruin me. I'll channel all this anger into taking care of myself."
Taehyung placed a reassuring hand on Yoongi's shoulder, offering his support. "We're here for you, Yoongi. We'll help you through it," he said firmly, his eyes filled with determination.
Jin nodded in agreement, a gentle smile gracing his lips. "We're a team, remember? We'll face this together. And once your heat passes, we'll figure out a way to deal with Jungkook. He won't get away with what he's done."
A flicker of hope sparked within Yoongi's eyes, his anger slowly transforming into a steely resolve. "You're right," he said, his voice filled with newfound determination. "We won't let him win. We'll protect ourselves and ensure justice is served."
As they sat together at the dinner table, Yoongi felt a sense of unity and strength wash over him. With his trusted companions by his side, he knew he had the support he needed to navigate the challenges ahead.
Together, they would overcome the darkness that had infiltrated their lives, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever before. A black dot in their lives that once was a ray of sunshine and hope. A small blip to overcome.
Jimin couldn’t tear his eyes away from Jungkook’s door, his heart torn between conflicting emotions. Something didn’t sit right with him, but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was. He hoped to figure it out soon before it was too late and they all came to regret their actions.
The tension in the room was palpable, the unspoken words lingering in the air. Each member of the pack grappled with their own emotions, torn between loyalty and doubt. The weight of the rumors and the accusations hung heavily over them, casting a cloud of uncertainty on their once unbreakable bond.
Namjoon's cautionary words echoed in their minds, a constant reminder of the perceived danger that Jungkook posed. It was as if they were tiptoeing around a ticking time bomb, unsure of when it might explode. The sense of caution and the division within the pack felt like a betrayal to some, while others clung to it as a necessary measure for their safety.
As they continued their dinner, the room was filled with an uneasy silence, broken only by the clinking of utensils against plates. The absence of conversation spoke volumes, revealing the cracks that had formed within their once-harmonious unity. Each member wrestled with their own conflicting emotions, their thoughts swirling in a maelstrom of uncertainty.
Meanwhile, inside jungkooks room he laid on his bed, alone and forgotten, tears silently streaming down his face. His phone lay discarded, the only source of light in the dim room as it bounced off the four walls casting eerie shadows, displaying the media’s relentless bashing of him on various websites.
Every social media platform and news site featured a picture of him leaving a club with another person. The moment Dispatch captured that shot, it rapidly spread like wildfire, accompanied by a flurry of hateful comments. The backlash and mental strain became too much for him to handle, and he eventually fell into a fitful and exhausted sleep.
As he scrolled through the hateful comments, a mixture of anger and sadness surged within him. He couldn't fathom how quickly the world had turned against him, how easily they believed the distorted narratives painted by those seeking to use him and take everything. The weight of the accusations pressed heavily on his soul, threatening to drown him in a sea of self-doubt.
But amidst the darkness, Jungkook clung to a flicker of hope. Deep within his heart, he knew his innocence, and he yearned for a chance to prove it to the world. He longed for the truth to prevail, to erase the stains on his reputation. It was a glimmer of light that kept him going, even in his darkest moments.
As the tears continued to stream down his face, Jungkook's mind drifted to the future. He imagined a world where justice was served, where his name was cleared, and he could walk with his head held high once again. He envisioned a future where his talent and dedication would overshadow the malicious rumors and relentless attacks.
Amid his turmoil, Jungkook found solace in his dreams. He dreamed of a stage where he could pour his heart out, where his music would touch the souls of millions. He dreamed of a world where his fans' unwavering support would drown out the voices of hatred. These dreams fueled his determination, reminding him of the unwavering passion that brought him to where he was today.
As the night wore on, exhaustion finally took over, and Jungkook succumbed to sleep. In his dreams, he found respite from the harsh reality that plagued him. He imagined a future where he could rise above the challenges, where his strength and resilience would prevail.
And so, as Jungkook slept, the room remained shrouded in darkness, his tears drying on his cheeks. But deep within him, a fire burned brightly, ready to ignite the path towards redemption. He knew that with time, patience, and unwavering belief, he would overcome the storm that threatened to consume him.
