Chapter Text

     (Warning: Drugs)

Finally, it was the weekend. Izuku needed a break after the long grueling hours he spent studying for an upcoming exam. He knew he’d have to work hard but he never thought he’d struggle so much in English. He genuinely didn’t realize he’d still have to learn boring subjects alongside the fun ones.

Of course, he should have expected it. His new notebook was filled with notes from his first day. All the note taking had given him a headache.

So, he decided he needed a break. He snuck out for a bit to get away from everything. He went to the place he’d always go whenever Bakugou was bullying him. The Musutafu Mall. The large crowds in the Musutafu Mall allowed him to effortlessly blend in with the flock.

Which was perfect for when you needed to hide from relentless bullies.

He began walking around looking at store after store. He walked in a few of them and looked through their merchandise before leaving. He was disappointed when he realized he couldn’t find a replacement for his red shoes. Despite his careful care, they managed to get dirty and start to fall apart.

After meandering around for a bit, he decided it was time to head back to his dorm. He turned a corner sharply and bumped into a girl with blonde space buns and a school uniform.

“I-I’m sorry!” He squeaked as he tried to find the least awkward way out of his situation. The girl was just staring at him, as if something was wrong with his face. Her face was bright red and she wore a cute but still somehow chilling smile.

“It’s alright,” She played with her hands nervously. “So uh, do you want to get ice cream with me?” She looked to the floor in a fluster of emotions as soon as she asked.

Something is wrong.

”Wha-with me?” He scratched the back of neck nervously. “S-sure!”

“Okay! Let’s go Midoriya-Kun!” Izuku’s face fell. He hadn’t spent enough time at UA for people to know him. Was this one of Kachans friends?

“How do you know my name?” Izuku stepped back cautiously. He was in a crowded place but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t try something.

“Oh, sorry!” The girl stepped closer to him. Her breath had a strong smell of iron and bubblegum. “Don’t worry, I know you but you don’t know me. My name is Himiko Toga.” The girl grabbed him hand and practically dragged him along.

“That makes sense” Izuku blushed at the thought of a girl holding his hand. “I think…” This girl was strange but she must know him through someone. He hoped that she wasn’t one of Kachan’s friends.

“You know, I really enjoy small moments like this,” She carried on her meaningless conversation with him. He nodded and mumbled quick replies. He was more focused on the growing feeling that he should leave, quickly. Something was wrong. “What do you think, Izuku?”

“O-oh um…” Izuku barely even registered that Toga called him by his first name. “I’m sorry, I totally spaced out on that question”

“You’ve noticed it too?” Toga stopped at the ice cream shop. “It feels like there is a thickness in the air, after our ice cream we should leave”

Izuku was shocked that Toga even noticed a small detail like that. She seemed like a very shallow girl who only noticed things on the surface. He scolded himself for judging her too quickly.

They both went inside and heard the generic chime of the shop door. This was one of the few shops that didn’t have an open entrance. The man at the counter looked like he’d seen a ghost.

“Ah, Toga you’re back! W-who is this with you?” The man’s voice quivered and he looked like he was about to throw up all over their shoes. Something was wrong.

“This is Izuku Midoriya, a friend” Toga gave the man a strange look and he gulped audibly. “I’ll have a strawberry cone and…” Toga glanced at Izuku waiting for his answer.

“I’ll have a chocolate” Izuku stared at the floor. Obviously, the guy was trying to avoid this conversation. Something was wrong. “Are you alright? You seem nervous”

“Right as I can be, kid!” He faked a smile and then added. “Don’t worry beautiful lady, it’s on the house”

“Good,” Toga turned and sat down at a table by the window. The chairs were awkwardly close and facing each other. “So, what’s the hero course like?”

“How do you know me?” Izuku was definitely curious. She knew a lot more than most. “I don’t remember you from Middle School”

“I know one of your old classmates, he was shocked to see you using a quirk,” She smiled. “I think I know your secret, Izuku or is it All Might now?”

Izuku paled. He tried not react but his face was involuntarily showing concern. This felt wrong.

“I won’t tell,” Toga smiled sinisterly at him. “Besides, I didn’t know until your face told me”

She took a bite out of her ice cream. What a monster.

The silence was deafening. This isn’t how it’s supposed to go.

He nervously finished his ice cream. Not paying much attention to the weird bitter aftertaste. He was more focused on this girl knowing his secret.

“Don’t worry so much, I hate All Might but not that much” She tilted her head. “Everyone would want a piece of him, a chance to be All Might… we wouldn’t want that, would we Izu-kun?”

“Who are you?” Izuku moved to stand but his body felt heavy. He was terrified. His head felt fuzzy.

“Hey, are you okay?” She smiled sinisterly. “How is All Might going to feel when his precious disciple goes missing?”

“L…leave me alone” Izuku’s world spun and his words slurred.

“Can we go out the back way, Mori? I think he’s under the weather…” She giggled. Mori nodded and gave Izuku a look of pity. “Don’t worry, he’s cute so he’ll be mine”

Without warning, the ground beneath them shook. Izuku stood up feeling groggy but trying his best to be alert. Without knowing what’s going on, he used the distraction to stumble out of the shop. Stop moving, this is wrong.

He saw people running to the exits. A large figure was yelling and grabbing people. Red liquid was splattered all over the floor. Izuku groaned and grabbed his head. The two voices in his head were telling him different things. Run! Stay! Wrong!

The villain moved before Izuku could react. Izuku was picked up by a long scaly hand and examined. The villain grabbed his head until Izuku finally could think clearly. Izuku kicked around the the air futilely.

He heard a beastly cry then he fell to the floor. The world spun around him. Toga helped him stand and let him lean against a wall. Her uniform was stained with blood. A small knife was in her hand. That was all he saw before Izuku fell to the ground with a thud.

The last thing he remembered was Toga scooping him up and carrying him away.
